Presenter, Flash plugins and pain...

I will try to make this short...
I have the following:
Windows 7
Office 2010
Presenter 8 (8.0.1 build 260)
Acrobat Reader XI
IE9
I have published countless pdf's from Presenter without a hitch until recently.
When opening the pdf I am greeted with a flash error warning, so I check my pc for flash and everything is installed and working correctly.
What can it be I here you ask?
I decide to re-install Flash, so I un-install the version I have and using IE9 I go to Adobe.com and install the latest version (11.6.602.168).
This is the Active X version I here you all cry in unison!
Yes it is!
It is the version installed when you are using Windows 7 with IE9.
BUT
This version does not open my pdf's created with Presenter.
I have to download the Flash plugin for other browsers!
AHHHHHHHH!
When did this happen?
I am certain that when I last created pdf's from Presenter the standard flash plugin was able to open my files...
I have hundreds of students who may all have to download an alternative plugin because the IE9 active x plugin does not open the pdf.
This means downloading an alternative browser and installing flash from within or me sending a link out with the pdf's.
This cannot be right... surely.
please tell me I am doing something wrong and there is a simple solution or point me in the right direction...

Latest version of Adobe Reader and Acrobat no longer bundles a Flash Player with the application for the purposes of rendering Flash technology content within the page.
You need to install Adobe Flash Player plugin to view Flash content on a PDF

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 4.

I am not able to print pdf file from coursesmart website. i disabled flash plugin and only images are on the pages. When i preview, i only see blank page...help

Doesn't work in Google Chrome either.
Looks that the page has a lot of protection measures (context menu is disabled) and DIVs that overlay each other, so it is possible that the print routine only sees an empty DIV and not the image or the real page.<br />
That big image consists of two parts as you can see via Tools > Page Info > Media and the inspector.

I have the latest version of Firefox (5.0) and the latest update for Adobe Flash plugin and Adobe Flash keeps crashing! Why???

Every single time I try to use any game that requires Adobe Flash plugin it crashes. I have tried clearing the cache, rebooting, and nothing works. This problem has occurred ever since I updated to Firefox v. 5.0. Help!!

I updated my flash plugin and Firefox no longer has it.

I updated my Flash plugin to the latest version. Since then, Firefox has, instead of saying that I should update it, said that I should install it. The flash plugin does not appear in the add-ons manager, and flash content works fine in other browsers.

You may have a problem with the file pluginreg.dat that stores the plugin registry.
Delete the file pluginreg.dat and let Firefox rebuild a new version.

Cannot type Japanese in a flash field, with latest flash plugin and firefox.

When I try to input Japanese with my IME(I tried google and Microsoft one)in a flash field, the IME just won't activate. I am stuck with only being able to use western letters and I can't change it in any way. If I load up Opera I am able to input Japanese fine in flash fields.

Great(well not really great..) to hear I am not the only one with this problem. Thought I was going nuts.

The keyboard is set to Japanese Language(I can see the JP at the taskbar of the keyboard), but there is no way I can change the input to Japanese. I am stuck with western letters.
Also when I click on a flash field. The IME logo disappears , this normally doesn't happen when I click on a normal text field.

Need Detailed description of the differences between Adobe Flash Player Plugin and Shockwave Flash

For many years now I have been in a quandry over Adobe Flash (plugin) and Shockwave flash. The quandry is also somewhat exacerbated by the variety of subsetted versions supplied for each.
You know, it is sorta like the name and namespace dilemna provided by Adobe's continuing use of "Macromedia" when sometimes referring to, or distributing, their products... eg still creating Macromedia folders during installs.
I have been told that Shockwave Flash actually contains the Flash plugins. If that is the case should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Flash version if Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces
a newer version of Adobe Flash.
Will you please provide me with details for, and distinctions between, these two products?

OK Thanks I silly-goofed in describing what I meant in my initial post. I needed to say what's the diff between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) (plugin) and Adobe Shockwave Player.
So will you please detail the differences between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) and Shockwave Player?

On 12/23/11 I update the adobe flash player and have had problems since- unexpected closing and freezing. Remove the adobe flash player and those problems resolved. How do I go back to the earlier version of adobe?

I was prompted by Firefox to update my adobe flash player on 12/23/11, which I did. Ever since then the web site has frozen and/or crashed. I run a internet business and can't have this continue. I uninstalled the flash player and the problems have stopped. I would like to reinstall the earlier version of adobe, since that didn't seem to impact the web site.

When I updated the adobe flash player and went to facebook I'm not able to play any of the apps, one says I need to update my version of adobe and it has been updated, now I'm not able to open any of the games on facebook!

After I downloaded Firefox, I attempted to update the top four plugins, I already have adobe flash player, but I went on ahead and downloaded it again with the other three, java and two others. I then restarted my computer, and when I logged back on to face book Farmville would not load a message said if it don't load in ten seconds I would need to update the adobe flasher which is in my add and delete box. The same with Cafe world, it will not load as well! My google search is missing as well! I have no problems logging on to Face book, but I can't go to any of the applications that I normally play with now! I did updated the top four plugins as was suggested and now I'm having problems!

Flash plugin crashes always for FarmVille, CityVille now, submission fails

The Flash plug in crashes immediately whenever FarmVille or CityVille by Zynga loads now. When I try to send a report, the submission fails. When I try to change settings, the Flash plug in crashes as well, never allowing me to change anything. I need help!

I can get Cityville to load for a bit before crashing, but I can't post bonuses (and a few other things). I've cleared FF cache and Flash cache several times. While Googling for answers, I saw on Gamers Unite where someone posted that Flash 11.3 isn't compatible with the latest FF, and to uninstall Flash 11.3 and install 10.3 instead. Unfortunately, the Uninstall button doesn't exist next to the Flash plugin (and others as well), but when I disable it and try to install 10.3 the Adobe installer won't do it because it's not the latest extension.

As prompted by Firefox, I updated my Adobe Flash plugin. Now I have no sound for any Internet site. Any ideas?

I updated the Adobe Flash plugin this morning. I have tried turning the computer off and powering back up with no difference. My volume controls are not muted and volume is not affected in non-Internet applications.

I have tried all the fixes in the "Managing the Flash Plugin" article on the support site, but am still unable to get the Flash bit to work for my favorite eMagazine, any thoughts?

I have tried all the fixes on the managing the Flash plugin website (uninstalled, reinstalled, updated plug in, etc) but I am still not able to access my subscription on my favorite digital magazine. I can view it in Internet Explorer and I can play Flash games on Facebook, etc. So I am at a lost as to where to try next. With it being on the old tower PC and not my new zippy laptop it is difficult to play with troubleshooting and with all the addons installed by my family I'm not sure what to delete or try again.

Did you post with the computer that gives problems or did you use another computer?
Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension as you do not need them to run Java applets.

Here's what happened: Last week, Adobe updated the way they report the Flash version (not Firefox version but the version of Flash) as part of a Flash update. It seems that Yahoo Mail didn't update their code to check correctly and so it looks like (to them) that Flash isn't working (they can see that you have it installed but the version check code doesn't work).
This should be fixed on the Yahoo side.

Safari lost plugins and cant reinstall

Safari has lost the connection to my flash plugin and will not reinstall it. The flash plugin is up to date on the computer and Firefox uses it but no safari.

How and why did Safari get deleted? It doesn't happen by itself. What application installer are you referring to, and when you say it leaves, do you mean that it closes down by itself? Be very specific, including any error message it may have given you.
