Presenter installation (32-bit) Win7

I have tried to install many times Adobe Presenter. I have Windows 7, 32-bit, Microsoft Office 2010.
I start the installation, enter my license key, take the default settings and it begins to install.
I get to a certain point, (right after it says "registering"), and then it starts "rolling back action"
and it fails to install.
Any ideas?

I've tried 7.0 and 7.0.7 installations.
I also spent a good hour on the phone and Adobe Connect session with someone at Adobe and they couldn't figure it out either. We tried uninstalling, reinstalling, downloading new installation files, cleaning the registry; you name it.

  • Serialized install of Presenter 10 32-bit on Windows 7 64-bit with Office 2013 32-bit fails

I used Creative Cloud Packager to create a serialized install of Presenter 10 32-bit for use on Windows 7 64-bit that have Office 2013 32-bit installed. The package created fine, but when I run the setup.exe that CPP generated, the progress bar moves along then undoes the changes and finishes. The Presenter didn't actually install and I get no messages about why it has failed.
Is there any way I can determine what is causing the failure?
I have manually run the full installer and it does work as it should. The problem is only when I create the serialized installation with the CCP.

    Hi There,
If you have Office 32 bit, and OS 64 bit then you need to add Presenter 32 bit media as "Offline Media" .
Please find the below steps to create a package for Pn 32 bit and OS 64 bit :
    Launch CCP.
Click on Create package and click Next.
Give the name of the package , location to save it , License type as "Serial Number License" , Select "32- bit Package if your OS is 32 bit or select 64- bit Package if you OS is 64 bit" .
Click Next and Enter the serial Key for Presenter 10. Click Next.
    Click "Offline Media" .
    Click on Browse .
Browse to Presenter 10 Installer and select "PresenterWin32" and click Ok.
    Click on Extract.
Select Presenter 10 and click Done.
    Click on Build .

  • SEVERE, MAJOR Problems with ITunes Video Playback on 64-bit Win7

So I got a new rig (ASUS G74SX running 64-bit Win7 Home Prem) after I figured my nearly 5-year old HP Pav dv9500t running 32-bit Vista Home Prem had put in good years of work.  In using ITunes on the Vista system, I never really saw problems with its player on video podcasts.
Completely different story on the Win7 machine.  Aside from all the other problems noted with ITunes itself (not the player) in this forum, there is this:
    1. When something like UAC occurs, the video clip runs in the player, but the video is frozen (like a photographic still) while the audio continues to run on normally.  Workaround:  minimize then restore the player window, then the video part of playback returns.  Of course that gets annoying doing that multiple times after a while.
    2. With one video podcast (for example, The Young Turks podcasts), while the audio again continues normally, the video track lags unbelievably.  The video appears in slow motion.  The viewer risks a headache from vertigo if the viewer continues watching slow motion video unmatched with the normal audio.
At first I considered the possiblity that it was related to a 5400 rpm hard disk drive, which came with the new machine and I would not have normally have not bought myself, but I had someone buying it for me (my HP system only had 7200 rpm drives...what is ASUS thinking in letting Best Buy do a performance markdown?).  Then I played that video podcast with VLC media player, and it absolutely had NO problem keeping up with the video and audio.  (Another thing to like and prefer with this player is that you can keep the window on top.)
Seriously, the programming group at ITunes should be ashamed and maybe every member of its group should consider getting another day job.  With each revision, ITunes seems to get worse.

My installation of version 10.6.x of ITunes does not have QuickTime.
As of version 10.5 of ITunes, QuickTime is no longer apparently bundled with ITunes, which clearly has its own player.  In addition, I have used a minimal install of ITunes.  This eliminates the install of the bug-ridden Bonjour service, which was filling up Windows event logs needlessly and crashing from time to time anyway.
Now although I installed ITunes only a few days ago in this new laptop, I did find ITunes in the Programs & Features page and clicked Repair.  After the "repair," I played the video revealing the flaws of the ITunes player, and the playback problems were still there.  I used the other media player and it played flawlessly.

  • Embedded Flash videos play on 32 bit Win7, not on 64 bit Win7, IE9 32 bit

    Hello,
I have two PCs.  One is running 32 bit Win7 SP1, the other 64 bit Win 7 SP1.  Both have IE9 32 bit and the latest version of Flash 32 bit, 10.3.183.7.  This page http://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?1,999739 and others at iorr.org have embedded YouTube Flash videos.  On the 32 bit machine, they play fine on both Admin and Standard accounts.  On the 64 bit machine, the embedded videos are only visible on the Admin account.  Standard accounts show an empty box with a broken icon symbol where the video should be.  (Note:  not trying to use IE9 64 bit.)
I've spent a couple hours uninstalling and reinstalling Flash trying to see the videos on a Standard account on the 64 bit PC.  Nothing works.  Any suggestions?  Note that normal Flash videos work fine on the 64 bit PC Standard accounts.  Only embedded videos fail.
During this exercise, I noticed that the 32 bit PC has the Flash Player Control Panel under Control Panel->System and Security.  The 64 bit PC does not have it there, but I can manually bring it up from a CPL file in the SysWOW64 folder.  Not sure if that's part of the problem or a different problem.
    Thanks for your time.

I spent hours and hours on the same problem. My computer has a slightly different configuration. I am using Win7 32 bit, but experienced the same problems. Embedded Flash is working under Admin account, but not under other accounts. Many de-installs and re-installs, but nothing seemed to help. Until I found this internet post:
    http://superuser.com/questions/244316/embedded-video-is-not-shown-in-internet-explorer-9-r c-or-beta
The solution offered in that post solved all my problems. Hurray!!!
    Solution:
    * Open REGEDIT
    * Find the following key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-shockwave-flash
    * Delete the key
    * Re-install flash
    * Problem solved (in my case)
In the replies of the above mentioned link another solution was given (in stead of deleting the key)
    * Right click the above mentioned key
    * Change the access rights and allow all users read access to the key (did not check this myself)
In order to keep the solution safe in this thread, please find a copy of the info in the link above here:
In IE 9 RC or in beta, the embedded video is not shown in the web page. I verified the security settings in "internet options". Did not find any issue. Please find the screen shot below. I am able to view the flash videos in Youtube. But, for some reason, in some sites the embedded video is not shown.
I don't have this issue with Firefox.
    UPDATE:
I am able to see view the embedded video in Admin account. But not able to view it in Standard account.
    UPDATE:
As it works as administrator, use Process Monitor and filter the Status on ACCESS DENIED.
This allows you to troubleshoot what key the iexplore.exe process can't access.
@TomWij, Thanks for the suggestions. The Process Monitor hint helped to nail down the issue. When run with standard privileges, it is getting "ACCESS DENIED" for reading the key
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-shockwave-flash.
When I elevated the privilege to Admin account, it did not have any issue. Then I uninstalled flash, deleted the registry key and then installed flash again. Now, I am able to view the embedded video in standard account.

  • 64 bit Win7 on x100e

    Hi
I have got my x100e coming with 32-bit Win7 Pro. I'd like to use 64-bit. However, I cannot find any 64bit recovery media for x100e on Lenovo website. Would anyone advise how to do this? Can I simply fresh install 64bit Win7 pro using my OEM license found in "My computer ---> properties" ?
    Thanks

    kingyin wrote:
Thanks Solutor. ABR looks to be a great tool. But, I am a little bit worry since Win7 is still in beta stage.
Win7 is just a miracle, really it's beta was called vista.
Why did you say using the license number from the sticker is wasteful? I suppose this OEM license is dedicated only for x100e. Even i dont use it, I cannot use on other PC. Please teach if I am wrong.
The key on the sticker is just a plain, virgin, seven serial. You can use it on another pc, but obviously this is not legit.
Instead the keys used by lenovo to activate the oem copy are unique for all Lenovo products, but they works only if paired with a correct lenovo bios signature and the correct certificate.
The keys are different for different os versions (ultimate, pro, starter and so on) this means that all the x100e (and all the other seven ready lenovo notebook) , if installed wit (say) seven professional, are sharing the same activation key.
The bios signature is obviously permanent, what you need to have a preactivated copy are the two remaining items: the key and the certificate, abr will backup and restore them for you  with a single mouse click.
By the way, can I still use the sticker key after the fresh installation of Win7 64 bit from a vanilla installation media?
    Thanks
Yes you can, as on any other seven installation, but obviously you need the online activation, and you will need to reactivate your installation if you change some HW, eg. the HDD.

  • Adobe presenter 8 64 bit

I am unable to install adobe presenter 8 64 bit I did everything I could Any help??

    Hi felekouras,
Please let me know any specific errors you get during installation and the OS version you are installing it on.

  • Deploying Presenter 8 on 64bit Win7 with 32bit Office

As stated above, my scenario is that we have a site license for Presenter and I need to be able to deploy to hundreds of machines.
I'm no beginner to the AAMEE tool as I've used it to deploy Master Collection and other suites over the years.
So far I've made two variations of the package with AAMEE:
    32Bit selected during the wizzard
    64bit selected during the wizzard
We currently deploy Office 2010 32bit to all our machines for increased compatibility.
All of our machines are 64bit Windows 7.
Past experience states that the AAMEE wizzard architecture choice must align with the architechture of the destined computer.
However, when deploying the 64bit package, Presenter installs succefully, but the Addon is not available within Office
If I deploy the 32bit version, it does not install succefully.  I've traced the Adobe logs and interestingly it first begins to error with prerequisit payloads VC redist 2008, 2010 x64 being missing. I've added them to the payload folder of the generated package and I get a bit further.
Now the VC redistributables fail due to a concurrently running MSI.
Keep in mind that I already have the pre-requisits installed on the destination machine (And I've tested removing them first too)
So I'm at a bit of a stand still. Has anyone encountered this issue and got a fix for me?
    Many thanks.

We are also having the same issue installing Presenter 8.
Windows 7 64bit SP1 with the latest security patches
Office 2010 32bit SP1 with the latest security patches.
    We are using  AAMEE 3.1.108.0
I can create the MSI package using the AAME tool but it won't install.  I get very generic errors.
Adobe, what's the solution? why make it so complicated?

  • Presenter installation fails

Not sure if this is an Adobe or Windows issue, but here's the problem (and I can't find any reference to this via google/adobe/microsoft searches), my appologies for the long history of events:
    Windows 7 64 bit
    32 GB RAM
    Office 2007
Office 2010 Professional Plus 32 bit
Running Presenter 7.0.7 in Powerpoint 2007. Everything is humming along just fine. No apparent changes to system or files, then suddenly get:
"Run-time error 2147467259 (80004005) SlideShow Window (unknown member); invalid request. Automation rights not granted."
I uninstalled Presenter, rebooted, reinstalled. Get same error above. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot, same problem. After much trial and error, determine that if I FIle>Open and don't "double-click" the pptx in Windows, I don't get the error. However, now all my .SWF (AS3 from Captivate 5.5 30 fps) files aren't playing correctly. They violently stutter and the sound is just loud clicks and whistles like a scared dolphin.
I uninstall, reboot,  install Presenter 7.0.0 and work my way up to 7.0.6 and still have the SWF-stutter problem - and still can't "double-click" on any .pptx file without the run-time error above.
I upgrade to Office 2010 32 bit. Everything works fine now except the .SWF are doing the same stutter-clicks and whistles thing. Then I remember I can't use AS 3 SWF without 7.0.7. Now I must uninstall 7.0.6 to install 7.0.7. This is when things go terribly wrong ...
After I uninstall 7.0.6, I run the 7.0.7 exe and it starts to run, but when the Presenter installation window with the "Next" button opens, it quickly closes and then nothing happens - no error message or anything, it just disappears into Windows-never never land. Running the exe did extract the Presenter.msi file, so I run that, and get the same problem, the installation just stops, no error or anything, just goes away. Next, I try the 7.0.0 exe and same thing happens, installation failure with no error or any indication the file was run. I download everything from adobe again, but get the same failure.
Next, I uninstalled Office 2010 to see if it will work with just Powerpoint 2007. Same installation failure as before with no error.
any help would be greatly appreciated. hoping I'm just doing something stupid ...
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Presenter for 64 Bit

Does anyone know when Adobe will release a version of Presenter for 64 bit systems? I have been using it for a couple of years on an older 32 bit laptop and would really like to get this installed with PowerPoint 2010 on my newer 64 bit PC. I got the impression from customer support that a release is in the works.

There are no plans at this time for 64-bit Presenter. Microsoft recommends that their customers use Office 32 bit for everyday use. They only recommend Office 64 bit as an exception. Consequently, Presenter is targeted to the majority of customer using Office 32 bit.
This from Microsoft on this topic:
"Yes, Office 2010 products are available in 64-bit versions; however, for the best productivity and user experience, Microsoft recommends 32-bit Office 2010 for both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Office 64-bit is optimized for advanced data analysis scenarios that most users don’t require, and existing 32-bit add-ins are not supported on Office 64-bit."

By default, Microsoft Office 2010 installs the 32-bit version of Office 2010 even if your computer is running 64-bit editions of Windows.
Important    The 32-bit version of Office 2010 is the recommended option for most people, because it prevents potential compatibility issues with other 32-bit applications, specifically third-party add-ins that are available only for 32-bit operating systems.
Office 2010 provides support for the 32-bit version of Office 2010 programs running on 64-bit operating systems by using WOW64, a compatibility environment provided by the operating system that allows a 32-bit application to run on a Windows 64-bit operating system. Using the 32-bit version of Office 2010 allows people to continue to use existing third-party add-ins for Office that are 32-bit.
Note    If you already have a 64-bit version of Office installed on your computer running a 64-bit operating system, the default installation is the 64-bit version of Office.

Compatibility with existing Office files and solutions
Note    The 64-bit version of Office 2010 is not compatible with any other 32-bit version of Office programs. As a result, you must first uninstall all 32-bit versions of Office programs before you install the 64-bit version of Office 2010. The Office 2010 disc includes both 32- and 64-bit versions of Office 2010. To install 64-bit Office 2010, you must run Setup.exe from the x64 folder. For more information, see Install the 64-bit version of Office.
ActiveX controls library, ComCtl    Any solutions that use these controls do not work. No good alternatives are available for some of these controls.
Third-party ActiveX controls and add-ins    None of these work with the 64-bit version of Office.
Note   There is no 64-bit version of Visual Basic 6. As a result, many of these objects need to be ported and rewritten.
Visual Basic for Applications    The only way that Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) that contains the Declare statement work in the 64-bit version of Office is if you update the code manually.
Compiled Access databases    The .MDE and .ACCDE files, a common way for Access application developers to distribute solutions and protect their intellectually property, do not work in the 64-bit version of Office. You must contact the application vendor to have the vendor recompile, retest, and redistribute the solution in the 64-bit version.
Communicator integration    If you install the 64-bit version of Office, certain Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 features that involve integration with Outlook are lost. For example, you cannot right-click a Communicator contact to schedule a meeting, send an e-mail message, or find previous conversations. This is because Office Communicator R2 is 32-bit, and Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) calls do not cross the 32-/64-bit boundary.
Additionally, certain Microsoft Outlook 2010 features are unavailable with Communicator R2. For more information about these Outlook features and the hotfix that addresses them, see the following Knowledge Base article: You cannot see features in Office 2010 builds if you are running Communicator 2007 R2 RTM or earlier versions
For optimal Communicator R2 performance, make sure that you have the latest version by visiting the Communicator download page at Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 Trial Download.

10.2.0.1 is not supported/certified on Win 2008, so expect issues with the install and/or with using the software.
Why cannot you use a supported version - minimum is 10.2.0.4, which is only available to customers with an Extended Support contract

    Hi There,
Can you confirm if you were able to download Presenter 10 successfully, Can you please paste the screen shot of the downloaded file for Presenter 10? Can you please check in control panel >Program and features and check if you are able to see Adobe Presenter 10 as a installed program?

  • Bootcamp - 32 or 64 bit Win7 on this Macbook?

    Hi everybody-
    I have a late 2008 Macbook 5,1 with a 2.0GHz Processor and 4GB RAM.
I want to install Windows7 so I can install and play a video game that is windows-only. The game website states what the system requirements are and I just meet the bare minimum in terms of processor, RAM and video card.
I have seen the apple support page on 32 vs 64 bit Win7 in Bootcamp but am still not clear about whether or not my Macbook5,1 can install Win7 64 bit.
    Questions:
Given that its for gaming and I have a bare minimum system here, will 64bit Win7 allow more RAM to help the game run better, or does my machine not accept 64 bit anyway?
If I have to stick with 32bit, will upgrading my RAM help the game run smoother or am I already at the max RAM 32bit can use?
    Thanks everyone-
    VeggieRonin

As long as you have a Core 2 Duo or better, then you can run 64-bits
An easy check is to run Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Montior, and look at the "Kind" column, and you should see lots of apps running as 64-bit apps.  If they can run 64-bits, I do not see any reason why Windows could not run as 64-bits.
However, I'm not Windows person, so your mileage may vary.
