Presenter Notes Font - Default?

I have to take notes on presentations in class regularly and I type them into the presenter notes.
I'm having some trouble with the presenter notes' font and size. Everytime I go to a new slide's presenter notes, the font is Times New Roman or something. I have to INDIVIDUALLY change the font and size of every single slide's presenter notes.
Is there a way to make a default setting so that all the presenter notes follow the same font/ size?? Thank you!

Is this an existing presentation? If so, the presenter notes font has already been "set" for each slide, and there is no (easy) way to change this globally (in other words, it would require mucking about with the presentation XML file).
You can, however, use the Copy/Paste Style function to quickly change the format for each slides notes -- format one slide as you want, select the notes and choose "Copy Style" from the Format menu or Toolbar, then go to the slide you want to enter text on, click in the Presenter Note space, and choose "Paste Style". Once you've got the style "loaded", it is just a matter of clicking "Paste Style" before you type on each slide -- there is no need to re-copy the style.

  • Can no longer edit/adjust presenter note font sizes etc

    In a large presentation (meaning I don't wish to start over) I can now no longer edit the presenter fonts, in terms of size or other font related changes - either via the format bar, font window or toolbar icons...
    All options appear grayed out or unselectable...
    The reason I wished to alter font sizes is something occurred which in fact changed all the default sizes (from 22 down to an unreadable 12) in my presenter notes.
    Adding new slides retains the editable presenter notes...but quickly these seem to end up ultimately changing to the smaller uneditable font scenario.
    Help!

    I was just searching for this problem myself... here is my experience:
    In order to change presenter note fonts I need to open the font box (format/font/show fonts)... the problem is that things go screwy when I change presenter notes size... the cpu starts maxing out, keynote snails along.. I have to quit/restart. Bug city.?
    There is definitely some disconnect between these notes fonts and the rest of the keynote program!
    The ability to easily change these notes size is important for me but I'm hesitant to keep trying...
    ps: choosing font/format/show fonts is the same as using the toolbar A icon - the format bar fonts don't work for presenter notes.

  • Keynote 6.1 Printing Presenter Notes (Font Size)

    I am a professor and I use extensive presenter notes in my presentations. I have tried printing the slides with the presenter notes but I cannot figure out how to change the font size and other aspects of the printout. I have adjusted the font size of the presenter notes to the size I would like, however when it prints, it just defaults to a much smaller size that is unreadable while I lecture.  Is there any way to control the size of the presenter note font on the printouts?  Thank you.

    I printed out some handouts this morning set at 36 point and they print correctly.
    In handouts there is a limit of 8 lines of text but they should print as set in presenter notes.
    Font, colour and size of text in presenter notes is achieved by:
    select the text in presenter notes pane (commad A)
    then format the text using :
    Format Font > Show Fonts (command T)

  • Change presenter note font size and edit notes in slideshow mode

    Hi, I just switched to Keynote 5.03 and am still learns its features. I have some questions about the slideshow mode of keynote
    1. While in slideshow rehearsal mode with presenter notes showing, is there a way to zoom in on the notes to make the text bigger as you can in Powerpoint, which allows you to zoom up to 400%? This is handy: I can magnifying the notes without having to change its font size, hence no need to exit the slideshow mode.
    2. Powerpoint lets you edit the text of notes on the fly during a slideshow ("view presenter tool" mode), is there a way to do this in Keynote?
    3. The slide thumnails (allow you to jump to a certain slide) on top of the presenter screen are always very fuzzy, is it possible to increase the resolution to get a higher quality image?

    I believe that all of these are limitations of the current version of Keynote.

  • Saving reformated presenter notes

    Formatting notes: I am using PPT slides from older existing presentations and creating a new presentation using Keynote. I understand that in this case the presenter notes font has already been "set" for each slide, and there is no (easy) way to change this globally (in other words, it would require mucking about with the presentation XML file).
    Thus I use the Copy/Paste Style function to quickly change the format for each slides notes -- format one slide as I want, select the notes and choose "Copy Style" from the Format menu or Toolbar, then go to the slide you want to enter text on, click in the Presenter Note space, and choose "Paste Style". Once I've got the style "loaded", it is just a matter of clicking "Paste Style" before I type on each slide -- there is no need to re-copy the style.
    PROBLEM: when I go to save the Keynote file and then reopen, all my presenter notes have reverted back to the old style. It is as if I never when through the above steps to reformat the presenter notes. This is a bug! How do I fix this problem ASAP? It is driving me nuts.

    Erhm...
    What code are you using and what notes?The code is:
    public static void savphpfl(String thetxt) {
    String flname = "ptxt.txt";
    try {
    FileOutputStream s = new FileOutputStream(flname);
    ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(s);
    oos.writeInt(12245);
    oos.writeObject(thetxt);
    oos.flush();
    s.close();
    } catch(IOException e) {}
    The text begin with: <html><head><title>Untitled</title></head>........
    Some of the undesired notes (characters) are: &#1501;
    There are another about 5 characters that for some strange reason are not being copied and pasted?. Among them are: a t S

  • Fonts in Presenter Notes

    I know this has been remarked upon before but does anyone know where this is set? My slide font is American Typewriter. On some layouts notes appear in Helvetica 12, but on others it defaults to Lucida Grande 22!
    At which point you go "What the @@XX£$%^!"
    It must somehow be attached to the Master slide, but where?

    I've had the same problem with font size in Presenter Notes. No such problem with PPT. This is important to me because I always print out the presentation in Slide+Notes view for participants, using the Notes as 'additional' information for the classroom audience.

  • In Pages 5.2, some fonts "not available", yet present in Font Book and working in other apps

    Using Pages 5.2, I open a document created in a previous version, and I get error messages about certain fonts within a font family being "not available" in OS X.  However, these supposedly unavailable fonts are present in Font Book and work just fine in all other apps running on OS X.  In fact, I still have the older version of Pages on my system, and it still finds the fonts without issue.  The specific fonts troubling me at the moment are Myriad Pro Semibold It and Myriad Pro Cond.  Pages 5.2 replaces them with Helvetica.  I have wasted hours of time trying to resolve this problem, and I am at a total loss.  What can I do?

    Like so many other thing is is probably gone. Why not use Pages 09 that has about 100 features more than Pages 5. If you haven't deleted it it should still be in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

  • Xorg Fails to Start: Could Not Open Default Font 'Fixed'

    After an absence from my Arch system, I tried to fire it up today and found that Xorg7 now fails to load, telling me that it "could not open default font 'fixed'". I have done a "find" on my whole partition - there is no font file called "fixed*" at all on the system. Just for fun, since I have an older SuSE 9.3 on another partition on the same machine, I searched it too - no files called "fixed*" at all.
    Does anyone recognize this error, and know what to do about it?
    I haven't touched this partition in probably 6 months (long story). I do have a triple boot on this machine, with the SuSE I mentioned above and also Ubuntu Dapper Drake. I have been running the odd update on those two OS's - I suppose they might have crept onto my Arch partition and messed things up...
    Anyway, any and all thoughts much appreciated. I am pretty much dead in the water with Arch. I am running Arch 0.7.2, on a 3.0 GHz Pentium IV HT with 1 GB of RAM.

    Hi Guys, thanks for the help. I haven't been able to get back to this for a bit but I finally did tonight. sh___, your tip did the trick. I did the grep and sure enough, fixed WAS on the system, it just clearly was not in the font path. I started backtracking and found that it had been commented out of the font path in xorg.conf. As soon as I uncommented it, X11 was back. Phew!
    HOWEVER, XFCE4 is totally borked. It appears that one of my Ubuntu updates wandered onto my Arch partition and kindly updated parts of XFCE4, leaving the whole completely unworkable. Happily, I also have KDE installed on Arch, and was at least able to get an X environment back from which to work on the XFCE4 problem. I am now updating XFCE4 completely to the current version - that should restore version harmony and hopefully all will be well. We shall see! Thanks again.

    File, Send link doesn’t open a new email. Running Firefox 11.0. Outlook 2010 is the Mailto default and the W7 default email program. On the About:config page, network.protocol-handler.external.mailto is set to regular font (not bold) “default Boolean true”.

    I assume you have tried toggling the setting in Firefox between Outlook and, say, Gmail:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Applications
    In the search box, type or paste '''mailto''' and pause for the list to filter.
    Change the setting and OK to save it, then return to the dialog, change back, and OK again.
    You also might want to toggle the setting at the OS level between Microsoft Outlook and the native Windows Mail client in a similar fashion. In Windows XP you could use IE's Options dialog, Programs tab, for this, but I'm not sure in Windows 7.
    Since one possibility is a problem in your Firefox settings (including the possibility of interfering add-ons), and another is a problem at the Windows level (e.g., Registry settings), it would be useful to try to identify which one it is. One quick way to distinguish is to create a new Firefox profile. It will start up with all factory settings. You can switch back to your existing profile after testing.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    After closing Firefox, start up again in the Profile Manager as described in this article: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
    With the new profile, can Firefox successfully create a message in Outlook?

    Maybe some of the [information from Chris Gerhard|http://chrisgerhard.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/more-sun-ray-on-opensolaris-build-130/] about getting Sun Ray Software to work on OpenSolaris build 130 can help you.
    Note that Chris's blog is about OpenSolaris, not SXCE. SXCE 129 may have additional problems. I found the following information from someone working on X in Solaris:
    Though I should probably also warn that if you installed snv_129 from SVR4
    packages, many of the links in /etc/X11/fontpath.d will be broken - these
    are okay in the IPS packages, and are fixed in the snv_130 X packages.
    HOWEVER you probably only want to replace SUNWfont-xxx and SUNWttf-xxx
    packages with the versions from snv_130, as I wouldn't be surprised if
    Xnewt gets further broken by the snv_130 integrations of Xorg 1.7/X11R7.5
    and the move from /usr/X11 to /usr of the programs & libraries.As the SXCE program has ended, you should consider moving to OpenSolaris. The Chris Gerhard blog also has information about getting SRSS to work on recent OpenSolaris builds (b132+).
    Of course you'll always have to expect such breakages with new builds, as OpenSolaris is a rapidly evolving platform.

  • What fonts and attributes are available in presenter notes?

    I use keynote to make lecture presentations and make extensive use of the presenter notes but find it desireable to add italics, underlining, etc and different fonts in my notes.  Is there a way to do that?

    No, there is no mechanism for formating notes.

  • Problem with formatting presentation notes

    Is there a way to change the formatting for all presentation notes, rather than slide by slide? If I open a slide master, and try to click in the notes field on that master, nothing happens. I can't see any preference for changing the default notes font/size either.
    Also, I've noticed something strange. After I print the presentation, the notes change to Helvetica 12 pt. despite the fact that they were 24 pt. before they were printed! This is repeatable and happens every time I print the presentation.
    Thanks for your help.

    This happened to me to. Try restoring from your latest iCloud backup, however, this'll only work if you have an iCloud account as you need one to back up notes. I apologise i can't be anymore detailed,as i dont have an iCloud acocunt myself.

  • Fonts default to 50 point when applying a paragraph style

    I have run into this several times.  When updating an InDesign file from an older version (now using CS5) when I apply a paragraph style the font defaults to 50 point no matter the style settings.  Is there some way to avoid this.  Currently I'm copying and pasting the graphics into a new file and having to reset the text.  If I copy any of the old text over it causes the same problem.
    Most of our text is copied and pasted from Microsoft Word (old version and new text edits), however, the text that was already in the document and the new text both do the same thing when a style is applied.
    CS5
    Win 7 Pro 64bit

    My original "body" style isn't base on any style and the other styles are based on "body" but none of them (including Basic Paragraph), have 50 as the size.
    I had it wrong in my original question, it's not 50 point size, it's 30 point with 50 point leading, bold, and Myriad Pro (which is my body font) that everything converts to no matter which style I choose.  My basic paragraph style is Times New Roman 12/14.  Body font that everything is based on is Myriad Pro, regular, 10/14.

  • Fonts default when file is viewed in 8 but ok in 9

    I have a file where the fonts view properly within Acrobat 9 Pro, but the same fonts default to box shapes when viewed in Acrobat 8 Pro. Anybody experience this before? The preflight report comes back clean, no font issues are uncovered.

    Hi Dave,
    I just completed a test and comparison between the two PDF's,
    compared the file as you suggested with the floating option and changing setting to actual size of the original premier pro / mp4 file size and
    the old pdf that did not utilize the floating and file size option.
    I do notice a slight difference. The PDF with the floating window with the match of the media clips original dimensions appears to be crisper.
    I will be having the final pdf document set utilizing this method for the embeded mp4 movie and hope that the department doing this (next stage of this job) will agree that this is better to use your steps to embed all the video files into a pdf.
    Thanks so much for your time.
    Hope you had a happy holiday, and hope you have a very happy and healthy new year.
    Thanks, Amy
