Preserve Page Layout when printing to FlashPaper2 Printer

Hello everyone,
Does anyone have any ideas on how to preserve the page layout
that comes with a document to print on a common printer the same
way it prints with FlashPaper printer [from the File>Print
common dialogue]? It is like the whole object positioning gets the
confusion worse confused drill!
Using WinXP SP2 IE, Macromedia FlashPaper 2, No antivirus,
firewalls or any blockers, OS and FlashPaper fully updated, tasks
running: only system tasks, MS Office and flashpaper. Fonts:
default Windows fonts, no other fonts installed on the system.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Camogenny,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties printing with your iPad to your Officejet Pro 8600.
AirPrint doesn't have a way to change the settings. You can always check the AirPrint Basics document provided by Apple.  There are more setting choices if you use the HP ePrint app or the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app. I have included the FAQ documents for both apps for your reference. Both apps should work for you without setting up the ePrint feature of the printer as long as the printer and iPad are both connected to the same wireless network.

Just downloaded OS X Maverick on my i Mac.  Pages crashes when I try to print.  Do I need to upgrade Pages?

Make certain you have all the Software Updates installed that are available for Mavericks. Periodically, Apple will provide printer driver updates from principal vendors. If this does not show up via Software Update for your printer, the relevant driver bundle can be searched and downloaded from Apple.
The following link may help. At the end of that content is how to reset your printer. Occasionally, this may become necessary following an operating system upgrade.
OS X Mavericks: Solve printing problems.
I would also recommend that you run Disk Utility and verify/repair permissions. Then verify the boot drive. You may find some Pages or printer driver content with the wrong permissions.

  • Use a Custom Page Layout When Creating [[new pages]] in Enterprise Wiki

I have followed a few different blogs and I've been able to create a custom wiki content type and create a new page layout based off of that content type. I've also set my site so that my new layout is the default page layout. This works when creating
new pages on the site but when i try to create a new wiki page --> [[new page]], I'm still getting the typical blank wiki template. How on earth do i get my page layout to sync with creating a new wiki page?

    Hi,
For your issue, go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Page layouts and site templates (Under Look and Feel).
Pages in this site can only use the following layouts: add custom wiki template.
Select default page layout: choose custom wiki template.
Besides, here is a blog, you can use as a reference:

  • Retain multi-page layout when exporting to PDF

I have created a multi-page layout, I want to export this to PDF but retain the multi-page view so the client can easily understand how it will look. Currently it exports to single pages rather than the nice 3 page spread I have created.

Actually it seems it doesn't need to be created as facing pages, as long as you have the doc set not to shuffle and you've dragged the pages together into a single unit. Check the "Spreads" box in the export dialog.

  • Page Layout when Printing slides from Keynote

I don't often print my Keynote presentations, but I would like to be able to print FOUR slides on one sheet (landscape format) with one slide in each quadrant or corner. All I can select --as far as I can tell-- is a single column with all 4 slides minutely scaled down the page. The slides are far toooooooo small to read. CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT FOR PRINTING SO THAT HAVE 2 COLUMNS OF 2 SLIDES EACH? Many thanks for your suggestions!

When I do Print > Handouts > 4 slides per page, it puts the slides stacked on top of one another (ie 1 column of slides, 4 rows). I assume you would want to have 2 columns of slides and two rows. I don't know how to do this in Keynote, but if you are in Keynote, just do a File > Export > PDF. If you are printing in color, I'd select Image Quality > Best. Once you have the PDF of the presentation, open it with Preview. From Preview, do a File > Print. When the Print "window" comes up, you select your landscape orientation. At the bottom of the window, you will see a dropdown option that says "Images per page" and select 4. This should do the trick.
Be careful when you do the export from Keynote to PDF. There are a lot of options to include or exclude page numbers, builds, etc. in the PDF.
    Hope this helps.

  • Preserving Pages metadata when printing to PDF

When I print a Pages document as PDF, I'm given the option to provide metadata such as title, author, subject, and keywords. I already inputted this information into the Pages file, under the Document Inspector. Is there a way for Pages to automatically repurpose these values for the PDF edition?
I tried Exporting as a PDF but that didn't preserve this data either.
    -Ken

I checked in both Preview and Acrobat Pro.
You are right, it seems Pages keeps this just as internal metadata.
    Seems pretty useless. Tell Apple:

  • SRM SUS BSP Page "Compressing" when utilizing Download or Print fucntionali

    Hi  Gurus,
We are currently facing an issues with multiple BSP application compressing the entire screen while utilizing out of the box print and download fucntionality. These BSP pages are standard SAP SUS applcaition such as Service Entry Sheet and Purchase Order. The standard out of the box Download and Print functionality creates a zip file with either an excel spreadsheet or PDF file. When those buttons are clicked the download pop up confrimation comes up but at the same time the screen is compressed, which causes the remaming sections at the bottom to be "cut off".It's a really weird quirk and we still have not found a solution.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Dear Ashok,
Please follow the below steps then it should work.
    1. Call transaction BBP_SUS_BP_ADM to start supplier replication
    monitoring.
    2. If the e-mail address is incorrect, choose Delete. Change the e-mail
address in the procurement system and replicate the supplier master data again.
    3. If the supplier master data was not created via supplier registration, select New Business Partner. Change the e-mail address in the
procurement system and replicate the supplier again.
Still if you are unable to replicate the vendors then let us know.
    Thanks
    Ravi

  • Pages crashes when I try to print or export PDFs

Look at the title and at this: When I export PDFs, Pages crashes...but when I export Word Documents, it does not...although when I open the .doc files up, the footnote indicators are gone (the actual footnotes are still there but not the superscript numbers after the sentence...and the formatting is messed up - I have to readjust it)
PLEASE HELP...I cannot print a seven-page document I was working on and I have isolated the problems to two pages only - I can print fine with the others (no crashes with them).

    Hello Vaniificat,
what happens if you "print" the Pages document as a PostScript file (with the same pull-down menu where you initiate "print to PDF")? After that, open the PostScript (".ps") file with Preview and try to print from there. Ends this with the same result or can you print on this way?

  • I've purchased and installed pages but when i try saving, printing and sporting documents I get a message saying that my 30-day trial has expired. What can I do to solve this problem?

At first my pages was working fine after I installed it, but just recently it won't let me print, save or export my documents. I went back to the aaplication store and it shows that pages has been installed. I have no idea what to do next.

You need to totally delete the demo version files then reinstall your registered version.

  • How to load a page or page layout  when click on hyperlink using jsf

    Hi,
I created a hyperlink using a4j:commandlink, when i click on this link, i have to load a page. How to include the page using, <ui:include>, when i click on the hyperlink.
Please help me in this issue

Enclose your <ui:include> component in a <h:panelGrid> or a <f:subView> as said above, and use rendered attribute that is set to false.
When you click on the link, set the rendered attribute of panelGrid or subView to true. Now use reRendered attribute of a4j:commandLink to rerender the panelGrid or subView.

  • Keep recto/verso page placement when printing 'Multiple' pages on single sheet

    Dear All,
my book is designed for duplex printing. Every chapter starts on recto (odd) page.
When I need to print it for proofreading in the multiple mode (2 pages on single sheet), pages do not follow the original intent as the first page is placed on the verso page (left half of the sheet), not recto one (right half). I couldn't find any option to place the first page on the recto 'side' in the Print dialog.
My current workaround is to place one blank page at the beginning of my PDF file.
But I'd like to avoid this manual step in the future. Is there a more efficient way?
Btw, it would be nice to add a single option for this into the Print dialog. It could be handy for everyone.
What is the best place for such kind of feature request?
    Thanks, Jan

    trash the preferences file:

    empty the trash
    restart Numbers.

  • Printing problem with Print Layout Border:

I can't get Pages to recognize the Border: function under Layout when I go to Print. I'm using an HP Photosmart C6280 with Driver Version 2.3.1 (which I believe is the latest version).
It appears that I have everything set up correctly. A month or so ago I had problems printing shadows and two-sided pages. The driver update fixed those problems. So I'm caught between wondering if I've got something set incorrectly or have stumbled across another bug.

    MWU,
I received the following response from HP. I use a C7280, so the references here are to that model. You would need to substitute downloads appropriate to your C6280. Their recommendation is obviously quite involved, and it would be your choice as to whether you would want to do all this. I guess some of it depends on balancing your needs with what they suggest. I do not want to go through all this for my own printer, even though I have experienced the same border problem. In these forums, it is important that we only post suggestions that have been tried and evaluated. I have NOT evaluated what they suggest, but I said I would relay to you what they recommended, and that is what I'm doing. Your work-around may be the simpler choice. This is what they wrote:
There are pre-installed generic drivers called Guten drivers within the Macintosh os 10.5 which may be causing the software conflict or corruption leading to this issue. The most effective way of resolving this situation is to remove all files relating to HP printers and then install the latest drivers that are available from the HP website.

This process may take several minutes, afterwards close the Disk Utility by single-clicking the red dot from the trio at the top left of this dialog box.

Double-click the downloaded file containing the software for the printer.
Double-click the Installation file; it will be either All-in-One Installer or Vise Installer.
Proceed through the questions asked, if prompted for an account and password this will be the password for the user account you are currently logged into.

In some situations the All-in-One Setup Assistant will ask you to open the Printer Setup Utility in order to add the printer manually. If prompted with this please do the following:
As the HP All-in-One is connected through a network using Ethernet or wireless:
Click the button labeled Printer Setup Utility.
When the Printer Setup Utility opens, click the Add button.
Click the More Printers button at the bottom; a new dialog box will open.
Now select HP IP Printing from the drop down menu
Select your unit from the list of printers available.
Now you may close the Printer Setup Utility by clicking the red dot at the top-left corner of this window. Complete the installation by registering the product if you have not already done so and choosing whether you wish to see the Product tour or not.
Now double-click on the downloaded Update file and follow the prompts to install it.
We recommend trying both printing and scanning to prove the functionality of both.
    **NOTE**
When the updated software has been completely installed and all functions are verified, you may trash the loginwindow.plist as it is no longer required.
This should resolve the issue. If you need further assistance, please reply to this message and we will be happy to assist you further.
    I'm back....good luck!
