Preset panel in develop module is missing

I have lightroom 2.2. Somehow, I accidently removed the preset panel from the develop module and I can't figure out how to restore it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the Snapshots or History panel and another box will open. Presets (in your case) should be unchecked. Click on Presets and the section will reappear.

  • Backed up presets to Creative Cloud and Presets vanished from Develop module

This is what happens when you watch a tutorial and your inexperienced with Lightroom. Purchased quite a few presets and they were listed
nicely in order and with no problems using. Saw a video to back up presets to creative cloud file and BOOM!!! The presets are no longer in the development module. What happened and how to I get them back without doing the whole process again. Thanks for any suggestions.

  • NI Vision Development Module VI Missing

I working in LV 2010.  Everything was working fine.  Full vision development was working fine.  I had access to all of the edge detect, gap measure VIs, etc.  Then in a moment of stupidity I installed 2014 vision development.  Now I realize that was only a trial version so I got rid of it.  Now though when I open and use LV2010 it don't show all of the vision functions in the pallete.  It just shows the basic vision functions (grab, snap, etc..)  I can see that that vision folder still exists, I can see that I still have a full version on 2010 vision in the license manager, and it says it in installed and fine.  How do I get LV2010 to once again look in the right place?  BTW, when I open a VI I had written using the measure vertcal gap function it stops and asks me to find the "NI_Vision_Development_Module VI.  Which I cannot find BTW..  Your help is appreciated.

As you have found out, LabVIEW can be very "version-specific".  LabVIEW, itself, installs in its own directory (e.g. LabVIEW 2010, LabVIEW 2011).  However, some toolboxes (in particular, IMAQ and IMAQdx) install "globally" in their own folder.  This means that when you install IMAQdx for 2014, it overwrites IMAQdx for 2010.  I don't know if this should be considered a "bug" or a "feature", but it explains your situation, and the necessity for doing the re-install of LabVIEW 2010.
You might be able to get away with "merely" reinstalling the 2010 Vision Toolkit(s).  However, you would need to get the current files and folders removed properly, which might be difficult (because there may be hidden "hooks").  If you have a current 2010 license, you should be able to get NI to supply the disks (or a download) ...

  • Question:  LR5, suddenly the first part of the menu of development module is missing. (Basics)

I have contacted Adobe support, they proposed to delete the preferences, but did not work, then to have a new user and try it from there. With the new user I got the complete menu, but have no access to my catalog and photo database.
Has anyone an idea how to solve the problem. ??????

Go back to your version of LR without the "Basic" menu.
Right click (or Cmd Click) on one of the other headings in the Develop Side bar (eg: "Tone Curve").  Then re-select the "Basic" box from the pop-up menu that appears.

  • Quick Develop Module Missing in LR5?

    Hello,
I am using LR5 and my Quick Develop Module is missing. My photos are online and so this is not the problem. I rebooted but still no Quick Develop Module. I can use the other modules. Please help?

Quick Develop is in the Library Module, not the Develop Module (where it has always been).
If you don't see it in the Library Module, then you need to right-click on any right-panel header (like Keyword List) and select Quick Develop

  • All panels are missing from development module

Can anyone help me.  I have been using lightroom for some time.  Then today for some reason, not only did my basic panel disappear but also every other panel under the development module disappeared so I can't even right click on on say, the "Tone Curve" or "Lens Correction" to bring back the basic panel because every panel is missing.  Can anyone help me?  I have uninstalled lightroom and re-installed but still nothing.  I have no idea how to fix this issue.

In develop, press Ctrl+1 (Cmd+1 on Mac) for the basic panel. Then right-click (control+click) to choose others.
    Or use the Window menu.

  • Lr4 missing develop module panels

Downloaded LR4 today and it's not showing the lens correction or camera calibration in develop module. Any ideas as to why?

Right click the right panel and make sure all the panels are checked...

  • Grouping of develop presets in the 'Saved Presets' dropdown in Library module

I'm sure a lot of people download lots of presets from the internet to try, and end up with loads of them.
In the library module, they all appear as a single long, cumbersome list in the dropdown 'Saved Preset' in the quick develop panel.
This makes this dropdown totally unusable if you have more than say, 40 presets - often the most commonly-used presets are at the bottom, and you have to scroll for ages to get to them.
Would be great (and a simple solution) to be able to group them. You can group them in the presets folder, and they do appear grouped in the 'develop' module, but not in the library module.

    +1 vote.
Presently, I just use the Develop Module if I want to assign a preset - because it has the folders.

  • How do I get the basic panel in the develop module to reappear in Lightroom 5?

Hello! I was editing a photo in Lightroom 5 the other day, and I thought I hit something, but all of a sudden the basic panel was missing. I went online to see how I can fix it, and what was suggested was to right click on one of the panels and it should have an option that says basic, in order to get the basic panel back. That is what I did, but what it does is just opens and closes the panels. I don't know how to get my basic panel back, I hope I can get some advice.
    Thank You!

The trick is to right-click on one of the other panel headers, e.g. Tone Curve, and you'll see a context menu allowing you ro reselect the Basic Panel.
Alternatively, when in the Develop Module simply do Ctrl+1 (Cmd+1 on a Mac), or in the menu bar go to Window>Panels>Basic Panel.

  • Presets folder gone in the develop module

I seems to have lost my Preset area in the Develop module. I have tried to make a new preset, still cant see them, and all I had are not showing.
Anyone know why this would be?
    Thanks
    Sandy

Try a mouse Right-click (Cmd-click) on another panel header (eg. snapshots) - Click to 'Tick' and make the Preset option visible.

  • Basic panel disappeared from Develop module.  LR 5.7 Mac OS 10.10.1 Tried control clicking headers of panels that are still there.  Do not get a pop up list.  Can't find way to restore.  What should I do?

Basic panel in the Develop model no longer appears.  Started this afternoon.  Been using LR 5 since it came out.  No problem before today.  Searched forums and did the control click on develop module headers.  Check list doesn't appear.  What do I do next?  I did a Time machine restore but nothing changed.

I have now tried control click, command click, option click and combinations of these on 2 computers running the same lightroom versions, same Mac OS with the same result. No list of develop headers, no way to check/ uncheck.
LR on my MacBook has all the panels.  On my iMac Basic and Split Toning are missing.
The only result of clicking is collapsing or expanding the individual sliders under the headers.
My only thought now is to find the preference files for LR and delete them and see if the missing panels return.  Any other suggestions?

  • Relative Adjustments in Develop Module and Presets...

    Hi there,
the new Lightroom 4 beta is great and has some really good improvements inside (e.g. the "new" shadows/highlight or the new possibilities in the adjustment brush).
But what I really miss is the possibility to make relative adjustments in the Develop Module. Primary this is useful in presets to make steps of correction. I can do very limited relative adjustments for single parameters partially in the Library Module, but it goes not far enough and I can not save any preset from that or even combinations of adjustments.
    An Example:
I have an image which is nearly perfect. All adjustments are almost done. Now, I want to give the image a +10 in Clarity or -3 in Brightness relative to all current adjustments. Those relative adjustments are perfectly to increase or decrease simple adjustments stepwise, but also really helpful for stepwise bringing in or out more complex adjustments.
    Another Example:
I have an image with no corrections. No I can push Clarity, Shadows/Highlights, Saturation etc. from a preset which brings in more and more of a complex set of adjustments, which are just right for this type of image.
I think, a small checkbox behind a slider would be perfect to set relative or absolute adjustments. This settings should be saved within a preset to make some/all adjustments relative to the exisiting ones, or - if deactivated - absolute adjustment, like in the current version of Lightroom.
What do you think about that? It would be great to see that in future betas or the final Lightroom 4 product.

If they've been discussed at length, I'm surprised not to see them. Much has been provided that I would have guessed has received less requests.
And while I understand that Adobe might simply want feedback on what they have provided, what would be the best forum for letting them know what we feel has not yet been provided.

  • Basic settings tab missing from Develop module

I recently bought lightroom 4 after using the free 30 day trial, and i have no basic settings on my mac, can't find them anywhere? My tabs go from histogram to colour curve. Where are they?
    Very confused..

No need to be confused, you've probably inadvertently hidden it. The thing is that in every Module, all the individual panels in each of the left and right-hand columns can be optionally shown or hidden under user control (there are few minor exceptions such as the Navigator, but by and large this control is available throughtout Lightroom).
So to bring up the options for each column (in your case the right-hand column of the Develop Module), simply right-click (ctrl-click on Mac) on ANY of the headers that are showing in that column and you'll see a pop-up context menu like the attached screenshot. Here you can see that I've previously hidden the Basic panel, so all I need to do is click on the Basic line and it's restored. Conversely, I can use this method to hide a panel.
