Presets from CC to CC 2014

Where do I find a place to find and put presets across from CC? I managed to make my own presets and add some downloaded presets into CC (which I brilliantly can't remember how I did now) I'd like to find these, and bring them across to CC 2014.. How can I do this?
I've got to here but I can't seem to find anything... C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC\Presets
Where are these presets? I'm terrible with switching new versions!
Thanks all

Yes! When I installed CC 2014 there was a weird thing with media encoder... I could only update? There was no old CC version as soon as I had installed. ( I wasn't fully involved with installing this update)
That would explain it. Sucks because I will have the re do the presets but hey, at least I know now where it's gone!
Thanks for you help, super useful

  • Importing presets from CC to CC 2014 (Mac)

Just updated/upgraded to the new CC 2014 releases and hoping it fixes some of the weirdnesses/artifacts/stuttering that has crept into Media Encoder the past month (but thats another story). Right now, though, I'm trying to figure out how to import the presets I created in the old version, as well as the ProRes  codex/presets
    thanks!

You can export presets from CC, then import them into CC 2014.  To export presets from CC, please select all presets you want to export under the Preset Browser.  Then, go Preset menu > Export.  Once exported, launch CC 2014.  Go Preset menu > Import.
    Hope this helps

  • How to migrate my project presets from c06 to cc 2014?

    Hi there,
I just opened a very big project which I started in C06 in CC. I was shocked when I realised that the color of my marks changed. I thought it will stay the same whatever version I use to open the project... How can I get them back or migrate them?
    thanks!

Have you tried syncing your preferences and presets to your cloud account?  If not, go into the previous version of PP where you have your presets, under the "Premiere Pro" menu on a Mac (not sure where on Windows), the third menu item down (should be your Adobe CC account if you're logged in) allows you to sync all of your settings with the Cloud.  Perform this sync, close PP and open PP2014.  Sync your settings again and they should all appear in PP CC 2014.

  • Import Saved Document Presets from older PS to PS CC 2014

Is there a way to import saved document presets from older versions of Photoshop into Photoshop CC 2014? I have a fair amount of document presets I use almost daily and it'd be a pain to have to enter all of them again to save them.

If you create an action set with just the one action and save the set upload the uploade it to the web and post a link to the .atn file we can download the action and test that on our machines.  You will get feedback from both Mac and PC users. It sound odd that it would work once then fail the second  time. Was Photoshop CC 2014 up before you used bridge menu tools>photoshop>batch the first time or was Photoshop started because you used tools>photoshop>batch.  If is was not up did you try closing PS down before the second batch?

  • How do we transfer Audition effects presets from CC to 2014?!

Welcome to Day 3 of Adobe CF.  Finally got Premiere issues smoothed out.  Apparently today is Audition Headache Day.
Can anyone explain to the community how we can export the effects presets from Audition CC and import them for use inside Audition CC 2014?
    Thanks in advance.

For other PC users asking the same question, copy EffectPresets.xml from the 6.0 folder and place in the 7.0 folder according to the path below.  Obviously Adobe couldn't be bothered to make sure these settings migrated and thereby forced you to go on this grand search for a solution instead of using their software to be productive and make media.
    From
    C: / Users / User_name / AppData / Roaming / Adobe / Audition / 6.0
    To
    C: / Users / User_name / AppData / Roaming / Adobe / Audition / 7.0

  • Problems using Animation Presets from Bridge

    Dear all,
Using the CC range, and recently had a new problem using the animation presets from Adobe Bridge. I'm in After Effects as normal, and then go to the Animations drop down, click browse recent presets to open up Bridge, and then as normal use Bridge to select the preset I want. Double click it whilst highlighting my selected track in AE, and then AE reports this:
And the same error codes no matter what effect/animation I choose, whether its to an image, video or text.
If I just go, in AE, to my Recent Animation Presets, and choose one from there it loads up absolutely fine. But this is massively annoying.  Any ideas? This problem appeared out of nowhere.

This is fixed in the After Effects 2014.2 (13.2) update, which is now available.

  • Import shortcuts from CC to cc 2014

How can I get all my shorcut from CC to CC 2014?

If you've created the keyboard shortcuts in InDesign CC, all your shortcuts, presets, etc. should be automatically when you first open InDesign CC 2014. You'll get a confirmation dialog.
And in case you don't, choose Edit > Migrate Previous Local Settings.

  • How do I change the folder that Photoshop gets my presets from?

First and foremost, I'm using Photoshop CS6, and I'm running Windows 7. I have a boatload of presets (brushes, styles, custom shapes, et cetera). I'm currently running Photoshop from a second, internal hard drive which has more space. Currently, Photoshop gets my presets from C:/Users/[nameredacted]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets. But all of the presets I've acquired are in E:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets. I need Photoshop to point there.
How do I do that? Thank you in advance!

Get a bigger hard drive.  They're laughably cheap these days.
Whatever you do, don't point Photoshop to a secondary or additional plug-ins/presets folder. Ever since CS6 was released that can totally cripple Photoshop; just do a forum search.

  • DirectLink from Premier Pro CC 2014 to Encore - no longer there

Trying to get a Premier Pro CC 2014 sequence into Encore CS6 - and it won't happen.
The DirectLink from Premier Pro CC 2014 to Encore - is no longer there and I've tried simply dragging the required sequences over from the PP CC window into the timeline bin in Encore - it won't do it.
I've tried importing sequences and after clicking on the project to open and select the sequences from it just sits there with a portion of yellow progress bar about 5mm long - doesn't move on.
I am now trying to build the DVD project by putting all materials on one sequence, with chapter markers on it and pushing out a media encoder file in H.264 first. Maybe this will import to Encore.
Hating the fact these two sister programs no longer talk or work together - losing Encore is a major headache.

    Thanks Stan,
Interesting you say "Dynamic link only works between like versions. So the only DL for Premiere with Encore CS6 is Premiere CS6" and then show me a video where the guy's first screen pops up with "Using Premiere Pro CC & Encore CS6".
This is the latterday workaround to cover the issue of the removal of the directlink from PP CC 2014 to Encore - which does cover my issue - however I find it strange that Adobe choose to make great play of the DirectLink facility - now employed between programs such as PP CC 2014 and SpeedGrade - yet have deliberately destroyed a great working relationship in the same manner between PP CC 2014 and Encore.
I find this "dictatorial" deduction a real nause...

  • FAQ: How do I migrate my saved presets from an earlier version of Photoshop or import/export them?

You now have the option to migrate presets from a previous version, export presets and to save to a directory as a zip file (great for instructors).
Preset Migration migrates your saved presets, not your preferences. The message says "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"  It simply carries on the preset files you have already saved (things like Brush Tips, HDR Toning presets, Curve presets, Styles etc.)  to CS6.
HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP CS6 AUTOMATED PRESET MIGRATION
Photoshop CS6 offers the great new functionality of automated preset migration for your custom presets from Photoshop versions as far back as CS3.
When Photoshop CS6 launches for the first time, it checks for previous installations of Photoshop on the computer to see if there are custom presets that need to be migrated. Photoshop looks in each of these presets folders for your saved custom preset files that it can migrate.
Preset migration script copies all the files in user preset folders of older versions. If there are more than one preset files with the same name, presets from the newer version will be given priority. These types of presets will be migrated by the script:
3DLUTs, Actions, Black and White, Brushes, Channel Mixer, Color Books, Color Swatches, Contours, Curves, Custom Shapes, Deco, Duotones, Exposure, Flash 3D, Gradients, HDR Toning, Hue and Saturation, Levels, Lighting Effects, Lights, Materials, Meshes, Optimized Colors, Optimized Output Settings, Optimized Settings, Patterns, Render Settings, Repousse, Scripts, Styles, Tools, Video, Volumes, Widgets, Zoomify, and Workspaces
If this is not your first launch and you would like Photoshop to look for presets,
Choose Edit > Presets > Migrate Presets
When Photoshop notices that you have custom presets saved in their appropriate folders it will give the message "Would you like to migrate presets from the following versions?"
Choose Yes. Photoshop will begin the preset migration script.
When the migration has completed Photoshop will pop up another message saying:
"Preset files from older versions successfully migrated"
In order to use your newly migrated presets, you must restart Photoshop.
If you had Photoshop CS6 beta installed and have saved custom presets, you will need to export those presets before uninstalling the previous version and installing the release version of Photoshop CS6.
    HOW TO SAVE PRESETS
For PS, check that you have saved all your presets using:
Edit>Preset Manager... (in previous versions) Edit>Presets>Preset Manager... (in CS6)
HOW TO IMPORT AND EXPORT PRESETS
    In the main PS menu,
    Choose Edit > Presets > Export/Import Presets
In this dialog you can export the presets and then import them when you load the new version using the same Export/Import dialog.
If you have gone through the automated preset migration and notice that some of your presets didn't get migrated with the rest, make sure you have exported your presets to their default folders.
    PRESET FILE LOCATIONS:
(Note that there are two different folder locations for presets, one for application provided default presets, and one for user created preset files)
These are the presets that are unique to each user on the computer. These can be migrated automatically: (this is the location that the user should save their personal presets in)
    Windows:  Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
    Mac:  Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
These are the default presets that ship with Photoshop.  These presets can be imported but will not copy over using the migrate feature because each version of Photoshop will install defaults for that version.
    Windows 64 bit:
        [Hard Drive]:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Presets
    WindowsXP and Windows7 32 bit:
          [Hard Drive]:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets
    Mac:
        [Hard Drive]/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets
    Frequently used preset filename extensions:
    ABR  Brush preset
    ACO  Swatch preset
    ASL  Style preset
    ATN  Action preset
    CSH  Custom Shape preset
    GRD  Gradient preset
    PAT  Pattern preset
    SHC  Contour preset
    Here is a helpful tutorial:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-cs6/preset-migration-and-sharing/

Do you have an  iPhoto Library from the old machine? If you have then simply open it - there's no importing involved.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
If you don't have an actual library there is no way to do what you want.

  • Upgrade Sharepoint 2010 SQL Reporting Services from 2008 R2 to 2014

I'm about to do the upgrade of SharePoint 2010 Reporting Services from 2008 R2 to 2014.  The instructions say it can be done "in-place" with no downtime.  I've seen this article:
    http://whitepages.unlimitedviz.com/2012/03/upgrading-sql-server-reporting-services-to-2012-in-sharepoint-integrated-mode/
It covers 2012 so I assume the same holds true for 2014.
I'd like to get the low down from anyone who has actually performed the upgrade of SSRS from 2008 R2 to 2014.  Anyone done this upgrade?  Any issues?
    David Jenkins

So far I would have to say that the upgrade can be done "in-place" but there is a "DOWNTIME".
This article has helped a lot:
    http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/tlingenfelder/archive/2012/07/10/upgrading-sql-server-reporting-services-2008-r2-to-sql-server-reporting-services-2012-in-sharepoint.aspx
In the article it tells you about a bug in the SQL Upgrade process where
the Domain account you use will not work. When you type in the password it fails. On top of that it will lock the Domain account because of a bad password!  There is probably something wrong with the authentication process and it garbles the password.
Anyway, you end up having to change the account to the "Network Service" account before you can do the upgrade.  This means the services get restarted which means???
DOWN TIME!  He goes over other errors.  I haven't reviewed these issues yet.
The other thing I learned is that everything needs to be SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 in order to upgrade.  You don't find this out until almost the last step in the installation process.
Now I have to wait until next week to actually do the upgrade because I have to schedule an SP2 install.  :(

  • Is it possible to export brush presets from Lightroom 4?

    Hello all,
Is it possible to export brush presets from Lightroom 4?  I created custom brush presets on my laptop and I would like to export them and import them onto my desktop if at all possible.  Did a bit of research online and could only find this link which only applies to 'Presets' in general, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/lightroom/using/WS2A36C507-E076-4b14-AAC3-87852595D175.html.  Please let me know if this is possible or not as this would be a great time saver.
    Thank you!

Brush Presets are stored in the "Local Adjustment Presets" sub-folder within the Lightroom settings folder structure. The location of the latter varies by Operating System, or if you have "Store Presets with Catalog" checked in your Lightroom Preferences (Presets Tab)....easiest way to locate them is go to that Presets Tab on the Preferences dialog and click on "Show Lightroom Presets Folder"....that will open a Finder/Explorter window with the Lightroom folder showing. Open that folder, find the Local Adjustment Presets sub-folder and copy the brush preset .lrtemplate files to your desktop. Repeat the process on the desktop to locate the Local Adjustment Presets sub-folder, then simply copy the brush presets into it. They should then show up in Lightroom on the desktop (you may need to restart Lightroom first).

  • NEED HELP! - Installing Camera raw presets from USB Stick

NEED HELP! -installing Camera raw presets from USB Stick.
I am attempting to install the Camera Raw Presets.
It says to put them into User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings...
When I get to CameraRaw the ONLY folders in there are CameraProfiles & Lens Profiles.
I have searched everywhere looking for a CameraRaw-Settings folder and cannot find one.
I have latest version of CameraRaw installed and still no settings folder.
I even attempted to find it by looking in camera raw where it has saved the custom settings I made as presets and it shows that they are saved but will not show me where.
I am using CS5 specifically Photoshop v12.0.4 and Bridge. I have Lightroom 4. I have iMac OS  10.7.3
Do I need to reinstall Camera Raw and how do you do that?
Will I then lose my presets that I made in CameraRaw?
    Thanks for your help

    Perhaps this answers question.
    Frequently Asked Questions
Why is it no longer required to place the plug-in file in the specified directory on my hard drive?
The Camera Raw update process has grown to include lens profile and camera profile files which are easiest to install via a single installer process instead of updating several different directories manually.
