Pressing Return in CoverFlow, Edits name instead of Opening, Help!

Hey all
Weird problem, on my Macbook, when im browsing folders using the coverflow view, if i press enter then it opens the selected file,
But on my Power PC G5, pressing return only edits the selected file's name
How can I change this?

You are facing a peculiar problem because you are doing something peculiar.
Let me explain the way the login process works:
If I want to go to the teamcollab client for instance I would be redirected to the login screen - i.e. the jsp screen, as the url for teamcollab is protected against access without a valid user credential, once I have correctly logged in I am then redirected again to my original URL. Going directly to "https://login.oracle.com/mysso/signon.jsp" has no meaning to the system as it is expecting additional parameters to tell it where to send you after successfully logging you in to the system. Thus the error is now obvious:
"Error! Do not use bookmarked URL.
Please type the URL you are trying to reach directly into your browser."
Means try and access some URL like https://beehiveonlione.oracle.com/teamcollab, i.e. where you want to go instead of "https://login.oracle.com/mysso/signon.jsp" which is meaningless to the system.

Edited name not shown in coverflow view

I'm using iTunes 7 with no problems at all. When I purchase music, I capitalize every word in the tracks' titles. On one album I purchased today, however, the edited name doesn't display capitalized in coverflow view. It display correctly in list view and in the lower left corner of the screen with visualization turned on. I've tried restarted iTunes and I've tried using Onyx to clear our the application caches and restarting my MacBook Pro. Nothing's worked so far. Any suggestions?

Does this problem happen EVERY time you send an email?
Do you see the wrong FROM entry before you hit the send button? Or does the recipient report seeing another name other than yours?
Do you recognize the incorrect name being shown? Is it something you or someone else using your machine have ever used? Is it a name you have never heard of before?
Go to your SENT folder in Apple Mail. What do you see when you open one of your SENT emails, in the FROM slot? Is the name correct or incorrect?
Also, I don't understand your comment "I noticed it when I try to send a link via e-mail to another person." are you saying that when you paste a link into an email to someone that your name in the FROM field changes? Where are you putting the link, in what place in the email?

Toshiba 32W1333DN: buttons moving/deleting/edit name for channels missing

Hello,
I just bought 32W1333DN in Sweden.
But I cannot change the position of channels in the channel list.
Both the Quick start guide that comes in the box with the TV and the online manual has images and details about how to move channels/delete channels and edit channel names in the channel list.
I am supposed to go into
Menu->Channel List->Edit Channel List.
Once there I select channels and perform tasks by selecting buttons.
But those buttons are not there where I look at my TV.
Instead of buttons for *OK* / *Move* / *Delete* / *Edit name* / *Lock* I only have *OK* / *Lock*.
What is going on?
In settings, Program version is *V.2.1.4A*, and Software upgrade *V.2.1.9x*.

Page 17 provides info about Channel List, Sorting Programmes and Programme Locking.
For example to move the single channel in the list you should do the following:
The channel order may be changed to suit your personal preference.
Select Channel List from the main menu and press OK button.
Select Edit Channel List to manage all stored channels. Use Up or Down and OK buttons to select Edit Channel List.
Select Move option in the channel list and press OK button.
Edit Number screen will be displayed. Enter the desired channel number by using the numeric buttons on the remote control. If there is a previously stored channel on that number, a warning screen will be displayed. Select Yes if you want to move the channel and press OK.
Selected channel is now moved.

When using iChat, what could be causing the person I am chatting with to see my daughter's name instead of my name?

I had a regular chat buddy tell me that I was showing up in his chat window as Rosie (Last Name) instead of Michael (Last Name). I had noticed once or twice before when I had gone to Apple support to sign up for an Express Support call (where they call you at an appointed time) that it had Rosie's name instead of mine. I thought that maybe my daughter had called in for technical support or something.
But after my chat buddy said he saw it on his chat window, I logged into the Manage your Apple ID site and sure enough it had the wrong first name assoicated with this Apple ID! So, I edited that back from my daughter's name to mine and submitted that change.
Well, that chat buddy is still seeing me as Rosie, even though it all looks correct now at the manage Apple ID site.
I'm not sure what to do. My daughter has her own Apple ID which is part of our MobileMe family plan. So, I guess in that sense there is some linkage between hers and mine. But that shouldn't create a problem should it? It's a unique username. I think they're only connected in a billing sense. And they soon won't be in iCloud.
Can anybody tell me why this is happening?

What I meant by "First Name" is the one at the top of the list as it were when the Family account was set up.
(All the other sub-accounts tend to be regarded as Aliases)
As @me.com names can now be linked to iCloud IDs it may pay to look at separating the account out into different IDs in their own right.

List of avaliable MDX properties / Always show member name instead of alias

Hi all,
does anyone know if there is a list of ALL available MDX properties which can be used in an MDX query with Essbase?
There is a very small list in the technical documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/esb_techref/mdx_properties.htm), however I know there are a lot more properties.
E.g. one property which is not documented is ANCESTOR_NAMES:
WITH MEMBER [Year].[dummy] AS '0', SOLVE_ORDER = 0

[Account].Members properties ANCESTOR_NAMES on rows

Anyone knows if there is such a list?
And another question:
The Query always brings up the alias of the members (e.g. [Account].Members). Is there a way that per default the member name instead of the alias is used? Without using the MEMBER_NAME property?

How to invoke a report by name instead of ID?

We have developed several shared reports which are invoked from other applications. In Active Studio we select the Report and use "Copy Shortcut" option in left menu to get a web link such this:

We have two environments: a development and production. We are exporting reports in development and importing in production (using icommand), but ids change everytime, so the parameter above (ReportDef) is not the same as before and we have to re-custom all apps again. The problem is we have several (200+) reports and takes a long time to update all reports, tests and so on.
Any idea if is possible calling a report by name instead of ID?

1. In ORABAM Schema, all the Report details are stored in Tables like SysIterReport, SysIterDataset, SysIterParameter, SysIterParameterValue.
2. Most important Table is SysIterReport. It has "SysIterName" which is Report full name with full path like "/public/Report/MyXyzApp/MyXyzReport1" and "SysIterID". This SysIterID is the Report ID.
3. So simple Query above table to get all the SysIterIDs for the matching SysIterName. From returned rows, simple extract last part of the name which is like unique Report name. Now you have a mapping of Report Name versus the Report Id from that OraBAM Schema in that Environment like Qc, UAT or production.
Select SysIterID, SysIterName from SysIterReport where SysIterName like '%MyXyzApp%'.
4. I would recommend to create like separate folders for separate bpm projects deployed on same domain. And put that application specific data objects and reports in that folder itself.
From Java side very simple. On BPM Domain with Oracle BAM configuration, you already have a DataSource that connects to ORABAM Schema by name "BAMDataSource-jdbc.xml" under config/jdbc folder. This XML File has all orabam schema details and also JNDI Name like "jdbc/oracle/bam/adc". Write a simple Java Program. Do JNDI lookup using this datasource name. And from that get connection object. Run above query and get rows back. Build a simple WebPage, and build a dynamic URL as shown below. BamServer host and BamServer Port can be put in a properties file to make it more dynamic. And each environment will have .properties file with those details. Or simple put the below URL as it is which is different for each environment.

In the Java code, simple get above url and append the ReportId. And on UI for each URL, show the Report Name. Simple speaking, once you get Rows from SysIterReport table, on java side create a HashMap with ReportName and ReportLink (generated as shown above). And on UI, loop through this Map and show name and link.
One final thing. If the Java code is deployed to SOA_Server, make sure that the BAMDatasource is deployed to SOA Server also. By default BAMDataSource is targetted only to BAM Server. But java code or ui code is on Soa server. So simple target bam data source to soa source also from Weblogic Console.
This will WORK and I have already done this. Users will see more user friendly Links on my Task Details page. And clicking on them takes them to the BAM Reports.

I'm using XDK in Tomcat to execute queries and get the XML result in the browser. I have written many queries but now I'm having problems in one of them.
The error output that I see in my browser is this one:

Please mention the application release along with the database version and OS. Also, please post the steps to reproduce the issue (if possible).
There are couple of hits about the incorrect approver name (as show in the docs below), so getting more details would help.

Using names instead of codes in our forms.

I have two tables:
1. Table A which has next 3 fields:
Code: CHAR 2
Name: VARCHAR2 40
Code_B: CHAR 1
2. Table B which has next 2 fields:
Code: CHAR 1 Primary key
Name: VARCHAR2 40
Between the table A and the table B there is a relationship which is made through Code_b field. In this sense the field Code_b in table A must belong to table B.
Now I would like to make a form using Oracle forms 6i which allow me to actualize insert, delete, change)rows in table A. The problem is that I would like to introduce the name instead of Code_B when I run the form and this name must be chosen from a combo list (not an LOV). At the same time when the table A is updated whicth the changes I have made in the Code_b field must obviously load the code not the name.
In other words I would like that users work with names but behind that the programs work with codes.
Please give me your advice as clear as possible. I am new in Oracle world, I am sure this thing is possible (in Fox this is a very simple thing) but I have been trying to do that for several days without any success.

Login Dithers afer pressing return

I am sort of new at this so any help would be appreciated. I also realize that there could be a few sources of this problem but I have to start somewhere.
1. Server OSX 10.4.7
2. Clients Intel Education imacs and PPC eMacs all running 10.4.7
3.Open directory server? Not bound? (I think)
Friday we logged on all day (we have 800 users) and most of the time is worked fine, pretty responsive. A few times the student would type in user name and password, press return and then the window would dither like it was going and just hang. A restart usually would fix this.
Any ideas?

Check the logs of the problem machine after a restart. We have the same issue on a few machines from time-to-time.
For us, it is an automount problem that I haven't been able to resolve completely. In fact, we absolutely can't run 10.3.9 on our network.... 10.3.8 works, and 10.4.x works, but 10.3.9 produces the same problems that you are experiencing.
But after one of the problems arises, look at the system.log (log in as admin to read it). If you have the following lines:
Sep 12 08:35:20 Computername kernel[0]: nfs server automount -fstab [169]: not responding
Sep 12 08:35:51 Computername kernel[0]: nfs server automount -fstab [169]: not responding
then you are experiencing the same issue we have.
One thing you can do is to ssh to a machine when it is hanging. Run "top" to see the active processes and you can kill ( sudo kill PROCESS_NUMBER) one process at a time to see what makes a difference. For me, I killed one of the automount processes and everything seemed to work (at least a couple of times). If you kill the loginwindow process, it should get you back to the original login window (if that makes any sense). Then you can log in as an administrator and check the logs.

Automatically press "return" key every 5 minutes

I have a bit of a problem, a random app of mine keeps getting stalled during a task and needs to just press enter to get past the prompt to continue it's task. It's a long task and it's unpredictable when the prompt will show up. Is there anyway I can make my mac just press "Return" every 5 minutes so I can leave and get stuff done instead of sitting in front of my comp for 10 hours? I tried fooling around in automater but I'm not to familiar with it so I didn't have any luck.

It's Cyberduck, it's an FTP transfer that gets an error every 30minutes-1hour saying there's a connection problem but when you click 'Try Again' or just press 'return' the prompt goes away and the transfer continues. There is no preference to automatically try again, so having my computer press the 'return' key every 5 minutes would solve my problem.
