Pressing the "Buy Book" button does nothing

I completed a photobook last night and when I pressed the "Buy Book" nothing happened. I checked to make sure I wasn't missing any updates, restarted and tried again. I have since tried to order a greeting card with the same result. Nothing happens when I press the button. I even reinstalled iLife 08 to make sure there wasn't something funny with the install. Still the same result. I have ordered through (Kodak) the buttons in iPhoto previously with no problem, but not since I upgraded to iPhoto 08. I also realized that I can not print in iPhoto anymore. When I press the print button or the print command through the menu nothing happens. It doesn't error out or ask me to select a printer....nothing. HELP!

AReid:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. See of that helps.
If still not working correctly boot into Safe Mode and see if you can get iPhoto to work as intended. If it does not then a reinstall of iPhoto may be warranted along with the reapplication of the 10.4.10 COMBO updater followed by a repair of disk permissions.
If it does work OK in Safe Mode then your account is the culprit. It could be a damaged preference file other than iPhoto's. Here's how to check that out:
Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Preferences folder (in its entirety) to the Desktop and make a second copy of it so you have Copy A and B. Now try the the process again and determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up.
Open Copy B on the Desktop and select all of the items inside. Drag them into the open new library folder. When the Copy window comes up check the Apply to All check box and then click on the Don't Replace button as seen here. That will keep the new files created and bring back all of the others.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the intact Copy A folder back to the Library folder .
Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

My iPhone 4 will not power on.  When connected to iTunes via my computer, it is recognized and shows fully charged battery.  Pressing and holding the sleep/wake button does nothing; just a black screen.  Any suggestions?

Only way is to bring it to the Apple Store and use the warranty if it hasn't expired

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.
Have a look at Edgar's graphical enhanced manuals, the explain very detailed how things work and why. You can buy them as iBooks from the iBook store or directly from the page:

I do not know the answer but with itunes store which is essentially a website most errors seem to be on the Apple side. Report it to itunes store support

    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>Stoe and sign out and then sign back in
    - Power off and then back on the router.
    - Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Could just be an Apple problem. So far I have seen another post today with same problem.

  • TS1135 Can't buy book- the Buy Book button doesn't appear to work. Any solutions?

Book has been created and previewed, but the Buy Book button is not working. How can I actually BUY the darned book?????

    Are you using iPhoto 9.6?
Check, if you are connected to the correct Apple Print Products Store:
iPhoto Preferences > Advanced > Print Products Store
The country in this setting needs to be the same as the country of your billing address and delivery address, also your AppleID and Credit Card.
If your country settings are correct, check the setting for your AppleID and enable "Express Checkout" for your Apple ID directly at the Apple Store. You can do this right from the top of this web page.
Look at the black title bar at the top of this page. There is a Store menu to the left. Click it to open the page of the Apple Store. On the next page click the head icon to the left of the shopping cart to open the settings for your account. There you can enable the Express Checkout settings at the link "Update Express Checkout Settings".
Edit and reenter all your billing address and delivery address details on this page.

  • I'm trying to buy a book. The book is made in I-Photo and when I push buy book button it starts to process and than says--  There was a problem communcating wit the apple store   " help"

Are you buying from the correct Print Products Store?  If you are using the wrong store, your AppleID may not be valid.
Is the Print Products Store set correctly in iPhoto Preferences > Advanced?  It should be set to the  same country as your billing address and delivery address, and match the settings of the Apple ID you are using.
And you are using iPhoto '09 or '11, right?  you can no longer buy books from earlier versions.
When you reenter your settings as LarryHN described, don't forget to enable Express Checkout. It is required.

No the battery is non removable.
Try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

I am unable to buy anything in itunes. When I press the buy button nothing happens. I have credit card into and $15 credit on itunes. Has anybody else had this problem and if so what was the solution.

Go to a place in France and purchase an iTunes gift card. You should be able to use that in the French iTunes store if you have a French address associated with your iTunes account.

If you are talking about iBird Pro HD, it is for iPad only. There is an iBird Explorer Pro app that is for both iphone and iPad. Same company. See all their apps here: http://www.ibird.com/
If the app you are looking at does not say it is for the iPhone, don't buy it. You'll own an app you can't use (unless you buy an iPad to go with it).

  • HT3529 When I press the blue send button nothing happens!

When I press the blue send button nothing happen.  What am I doing wrong?

Are you typing your message in the title line then tapping send? You don't need a title but you must have your message in the second line. Seems simple but it confused the heck out of me!
