Pretty Funny, Here's a Word Your iPhone Can't Ever Write
I have a 16gig Black iPhone, and I cannot write out the word "fatass" in an email or text message. I asked my roommate who also has a 16gig black, and his wouldn't type it either. What happened with freedom of speech! haha check it out though.
It says "fatasa" There was a similar problem with "youre" being entered as "yourr" and "theyre" as "theyrr" - you can delete the 'a' and type the 's' in afterwords.

There is some issue going on with multiple people related to the Facebook for BlackBerry notifications. You're not alone in that respect.

If thieves restore your iphone,can you still find the device on the map?
i lost my 5s and i just want it back..i wass atctivate find my phone on my it.but if who found this device restore the device,will find my phone feature still work??please..if i cant find my device on map i will just let my device gone and neve hope the device will back.
ThxBut the thieves still can restore it via dfu mode right.?.even they will stuck on icloud activation when they finished restore it..when that happen can i track my device on the map when they try to activate my device ??as we know the device must be connected to internet when this procces happen.

Fixing your iPhone 5 Battery Life - Once and for all!
Greetings folks - I'll get right into it here:
1. Let your iphone 5 drain completely out.
2. BUT, Once it gets on 1% however, you must go into: Settings>General>Rest>Reset All Settings.
(note: This will not ruin ANY of your personal info the phone. You will loose only a slight amount of settings for apple only apps. As well as your home and lock screen photos will need replacing. All very easy stuff to redo. Again, no worries here.
3. Charge your iphone for 2 hours or more ( for best results charge overnight)
Now, my histroy is this:
New iPhone 5 from factory. Lost 16% on standby overnight. And was continuing to loose battery at an unaceptable rate. Tried reseting DFU Restore with new firmware (as I read in other forums) That did NOT work for me. As of right now I am using all my features my iphone touts. No turning off notifcations for apps or bringing brightness lower. The ONLY thing I have turned off in iCloud is BOTH "Photo Stream" and Documents and Data. As, I do not need these on. I will be trying to turn them on in couple days and see if it makes difference. Oh, and I have check mail to 'Every hour'.
Please, if you Iphone 5 is suffering from BAD battery, this work around does works, just wish apple would allow for a script to do this for us all.
Plese give it a try. I was seriously ready to send my phone back until I read about "resetting all settings".

It sounds like you are seeing various unexpected issues when using your phone. I would start by closing all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:

I just got message from AT&T that iPhone 4 is unlock and I need to restore my iphone for unlock but I getting message as " Your iPhone can not be updated or restore . This device is not eligible for requested build" Any help and support is greatly appreciated.

You need to restore the phone (that is, iOS), not the backup. Those instructions have always been ambiguous. After iOS restores you should get the unlocked message, and you can then restore the backup (it should prompt you to). And you need to wait "long enough" after you got the instructions; it can take several days. -
The file to download the app for Android is not working from my phone--it says that the file isn't there. However it does see the one for the Iphone (even though it can't use it). I've tried it multiple times and continue to get the same message: "NOT FOUND The requested item could not be found". I also tried through the Market application on the phone but ended-up with the same result.
I'm very computer literate and am pretty sure the problem is on your end. If this is the case then no one can download the app. I considered that perhaps because it's still in Beta that it was removed due to some other type of software issue. Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

FOUND THE ANSWER!!
Apparently when you plug your iPhone in to your computer, Windows will "sometimes" install the drivers as a camera, putting them in the wrong place. This is why it will pop up in Windows so you can take photos off, but iTunes can't see it. SO, what you have to do is move the driver file (USBAAPL.SYS) to the correct location. Follow the directions I found below & your iTunes should be fixed (worked for me):
What works is to just force the drivers on what windows thinks is a camera, i.e. to ‘update’ the device to use the correct driver. There are some hints on how to do this already listed on this forum, but I’ll try to give some more detailed information:
1. First off you need to have iTunes installed and the ipod touch plugged in
and recognized as ‘something’ e.g. digital camera (it shouldn’t really
matter what it’s recognized as, but it needs to be found by windows).
2. Search for usbaapl in the C:\WINDOWS system folder:
o open windows explorer (e.g. Right-click Start and then click ‘explore’)
o right-click the WINDOWS folder and select ‘Search’).
o type in usbaapl and hit Search – try to ignore the dog!
You should find the driver info in a sub folder of
C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\usbaapl_A65621D65F5B7 507DD7B22331826547BDD2D206B
Remember that location (either leave the search box open or copy the folder
name into note pad – you’ll need it later)
If you don’t find usbaapl.sys, usbaapl.inf etc. then your drivers have not
been installed with the iTunes install and you’ll have to reinstall iTunes.
3. Locate the ipod-camera device:
o Open the device manager, e.g. using Start > Control Panel >
Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware Tab > Device Manager
o Look for a device called ‘ipod’ - if your ipod shows up as
‘digital camera’ it will be under something like ‘imaging devices’.
4. Update the driver:
o Right click the ‘ipod-camera’ in device manager and click on
‘Update Driver’ – the Hardware Update Wizard will open.
o Check the ‘Install from a list or specific location’ then click ‘Next’
o Check ‘Search for the best driver in these locations’. Un-check
‘Search removable media’ and check ‘Include this location in the search’.
In the text box below type (or better copy and paste) the folder
containing the ipod driver information found in step 1 (in the example
above it was C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\usbaapl_A65621D65F5B7 507DD7B22331826547BDD2D206B),
then click Next.
You should now see something like ‘Apple ipod device driver’ or so. Continue
installing that device. Once the driver has been installed the ipod will come
to life and iTunes (if you have it open) will show it.

Is backed up on comp but can't get to without phone! During update my laptop shut off. Problem started after I started it back up to finish the process. Why would that make a diff? What to do now???? I, myself, has been one of the many people facing issues with their iphone (5S) being recognized or syncing with itunes after the new update, however, after calling an apple specialist, she taught me how to fix the problem.
You have to completely uninstall itunes and all of it's components (Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support). Simply uninstalling itunes won't do the trick. You have to manually uninstall all of the listed program in your computer's uninstall programs page.
Please uninstall it in this specific order
- itunes
- Apple Software Update
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Bonjour
- Apple Application Support
And then reinstall the latest itunes at :

Error (1604) Your iPhone 2.0 is not Dead!!! Here is the solution:
Like many of you i thought my iPhone was dead, I had tried everything but nothing worked. All i was getting was Error 1604.
With no hope I did the following:
(you will need: iPhone Firmware 1.0.2 / iTunes 7.6.2 / A bit of patience )
1- Completely uninstall Your current iTunes (Save "iTunes Library" in a safe place; it will make it easier to recover everything once you re-update)
To uninstall iTunes there are cool apps such as "AppZapper"
2- Move the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileDevice.framework folder to the Trash - empty trash
3- Restart your computer
4- Install iTunes 7.6.2
5- Put your iPhone in DFU mode (NOT in recovery Mode!!!)
6- Connect your iPhone to your computer, Launch iTunes (iTunes will Warn you that it found an iPhone in Recovery Mode - Click OK) Then press OPTION while clicking Restore and navigate to the firmware 1.0.2 that you have previously downloaded (Note: if you are an early iPhone user it might be already in your computer just go to User/Library/Itunes/iPhone Software Updates)
7- Now your iPhone should be restoring. Let it finish...
Once your iPhone restarts you can either keep it that way (but i doubt so, since this firmware comes straight from the stone age or otherwise try once more to update it to 2.0
8- Update iTunes using software update, (put it in recovery mode) then click restore in itunes if you are a legit iphone user, < Edited by Host >

JayPeople who have still not solved error 1604 and had a bricked iPhone no matter what they tried, might manage to revive it by following these instructions (on how to downgrade from 2.0 to 1.1.4).
You will need the following:
- iTunes 7.5 (NOT 7.7)
- iPhone firmware iPhone1,11.1.4_4A102Restore.ipsw
Step 1:
Uninstall iTunes 7.7 completely if you have it and restart your computer.
Step 2:
Install iTunes 7.5
Step 3:
Your iPhone should be in 2 states, either stuck on the "Slide to make emergency calls" screen, or you tried to restore before and it's stuck on the new look "connect to iTunes" screen. Either way you're ok.
Enter the phone in DFU mode (You must have the iPhone connected to the computer and iTunes running). To do this, hold the power & the home button down for about 9 seconds.
Why 9s? Well people say 10s, but it depends how slow you are at counting. Too short and it doesn't work, too long and the apple logo appears.
When you hit about 6-7s the screen should turn off, leave it for 2 more seconds and release the power button, STILL holding the home button. If all went well, you should NOT see an apple logo, the screen should be dead.
Keep holding home until windows/Mac informs you that it's found new hardware, OR iTunes tells you that your iPhone is in recovery mode. Remember, screen should be blank.
If you see an apple logo, repeat the process for less time until you get it right. Took me a little time.
Step 4:
Shift/Option click the restore button in iTunes and select the iPhone1,1_1.1.4 firmware you downloaded.
Fingers crossed it should restore back to 1.1.4.
