Prevent access .flv after burning

Greetings,
in my last post i wanted to have a window where i could load a .swf file but i'm thinking that i'm complicating what can be simple.
My objective is to protect files from being used by the users after putting them on a CD/DVD. In order to do this i was thinking on
a mechanism based on "localConnection". This way i could create a connection between Director and Lingo and somehow create a
loader with director. But i'm finding this somehow complicated, i really think that there must be an easier way to do this.
A portion of code imbued on flv file for example that could prevent the access from users after the cd/dvd is burned.
Any idea or any example of code that you can help me?
Thanks for the time spent reading this post and any help that you can give.

Hi,
Thanks for your posting.

What do you mean here, that make me confusion. Do you mean your current question is need to type full name to search files or can’t search files under “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu”?
After do a test in a real environment, I need take back my first posting. I did set “Prevent access to drives from My Computer” for c driver. But I can search files in both “c:\Windows\system32” and “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs\Accessories.”
Also I can search file by type the full name Snipping Tool or Snip.
The registry item I found to control “Prevent access to drives from My Computer” is HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoViewOnDrive

  • Cd skipping after "burning cd" does burning a slow copy really prevent ...

I know I asked this question before but I wanted to bring it up again just 2 double check.
Cd skipping after "burning cd" does burning a slow copy really prevent your cd from skipping in lets just say "Denon" cd players?
Recently we have burned some copies and during play back on the denon sometimes they would skip and no even play the rest of the song.
What is the best way to prevent this from ever happening?

I always burn CDs at no more than 8x maximum. Preferably 2x. Call me old-fashioned but I can't see how a 48x or even 56x burn can ever work without putting tons of (hopefully correctable) errors on it.
As I understand it with let's say "Denon" cd players, if the built-in error correction algorithm is naff or the laser is slightly off then too many errors on the disc are going to show up as splunts and your CD is effectively WATF.

  • GPRM Button scripts work in Simulate, but not after burning

    Hello everyone:
I have a question regarding GPRM-based buttons and scripting menu navigation. My scripts work perfectly in DVD Studio Pro's simulate mode, but after building and formatting a DVD, the scripts do not function properly on a set top box, in Apple DVD Player, or when playing from the Video TS folder. The scripts were based off of a tutorial by Hal MacLean at dvdstudiopro.co.uk.
Essentially, I have one track which is accessed via a Main Menu or a Chapters Menu. There is an animation that plays at the head of each menu, so menu has a loop point. The user should return to the correct screen, the correct button should be highlighted, and the menu should jump to the loop point. All of these things happen in simulate mode, but after burning, the loop point is ignored: The correct menu and buttons are highlighted, but the menu plays from the beginning. Here is how the project is laid out:
From the main menu, if the user chooses Play Movie, the following script plays:
    mov GPRM 0, 1
    Jump Feature
From the main menu, if the user chooses Chapters, the following script plays:
    mov GPRM 0, 0
    Jump Chapters Menu
Each of the chapter buttons is assigned to the start of a scene. The feature's menu call is assigned to the following script:
    mov GPRM 1, SPRM 8
    div GPRM 1, 1024
    Jump Main Menu(Loop) [GPRM 1] if (GPRM 0 = 1)
    Jump Chapters Menu(Loop) [GPRM 1]
I was able to make the menus behave properly by writing the scripts this way:
    mov GPRM 1, SPRM 8
    div GPRM 1, 1024
Jump Main Menu Script [GPRM 1] if (GPRM 0 = 1)
Jump Chapters Menu Script [GPRM 1]
    Main Menu Script:
    Jump Main Menu(Loop)
    Chapters Menu Script:
    Jump Chapters Menu (Loop)
But, although the user is returned to the correct menu and the loop point, now only the default button is highlighted.
Has anyone run into the same issues? Can anyone see any flaws in my scripts, or have any suggests? i would really appreciate any thoughts you all have. Thanks for your time!

Do you have any pre scripts atached to the menus? I was having the same problems as you and found that pre scripts and GPRMs don't play nice (at least in DSP). Removing the pre scripts solved my issue.

  • Poor audio after burning

    Hi there,
Hope someone can help me with this...
I have made a SD DVD by converting my uncompressed quicktime files through compressor to gain MPEG2 video files and AC3 audio files.
Everything looks and sounds great when I simulate everything, but after burning the audio sounds really clunky. The fades in and out don't work at all and it really doesn't sound good at all.
In the compressor settings I put normalisation off (to -31) so not sure why this is happening, especially as all seems to be working fine when everything is simulated...
Could anyone offer any suggestions to fix?
    Thanks
    Matty

    Take a look here
    http://dvdstepbystep.com/compressor.mov
and in the second half there are settings. Make sure Preprocessing is set to "None" as in the first image below. The other settings usually also help prevent glitches, audio rate (160/192 etc) can change a needed. Also, how were you listening to the audio? Computer? Television? (I have one tv that is bad for audio)

  • HT5622 in my phone preventing access to iCloud.  Is there a way to remove it?  Apple said to wipe the phone out and start over.

My iPhone 5 was set up with an Apple ID  I no longer use.  Neither Apple nor Hotmail recognize the e-mail address, but it is "hard wired" in my phone preventing access to iCloud.  Is there a way to remove the incorrect ID? Neither the genius or Manager at the Apple Store could figure it out.  They called Apple and had it escalated, but no luck. After an hour and a half the solution was wipe out the phone and start over.

What do I do to straighten out this problem: When I try to access Firefox after I've logged out of a previous session I get a msg that Firefox is still running and I have to restart the computer in order to access internet...

All you need to do is wait. While Firefox appears closed, it's not. It doing house cleaning. Cleaning out cookies and cache. How long it takes depends upon how much garbage you have collected.
If you start the Task Manager and open the Process window, you will be able to see when Firefox has finished up and closed down.
If you forced Firefox to close using the task manager, then the house keeping process seems to freeze up.
Also, as you've already found out from the above link, some programs and plugins will prevent Firefox from closing properly. I've found this less common then simply being in a hurry. But you need to also consider it.

  • SBS2011 Exchange Migration (Server configuration change is temporarily preventing access)

    Greetings,
I 've begun an exchange migration from SBS2011 (Exch 2010) to 2013 Exchange.  I am on this step of the deployment assistant, for reference,  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exdeploy2013/Checklist?state=2419-W-EQBEAgAAQAAAAQEAAQAAAAg~
I can login and access any users mailbox with the respective credentials if their mailbox is on the SBS exchange server.
Ive migrated a couple test users, and while I can access their owa box if I browse to the localhost of the 2013 server, I cannot access their mailbox internally nor externally if I go to the external FQDN of the owa site.  All other users with mailboxes
still on the 2010 exchange work.
I get this message for those with mailboxes on the new server: A server configuration change is temporarily preventing access to your account. Please close all Web browser windows and try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
On current situation, please check if you move mailboxes to the new Database properly. Please refer to Olaf’s
solution in following thread and check if can help you.

On a J2EE multiserver install this usually means your JRun
    instance is
not registered. In the JRun admin, drill down to the settings
    of the
instance and check whether it is a developer edition or a
    registered
edition. I wouldn't know any way to fix this other then a
    reinstall.

    - Press ThinkVantage, Press F1, Press Fn+F1
    - Power off, unplug AC, unplug battery, wait 15 miniute, try all again
    - Try to update BIOS again

    That is really weird.
When you are in Windows, can you test and see if the F1 key is working? If it is working. Shut down the laptop then boot it back up. At the Thinkpad screen, keep spamming the F1 key and see if you are able to boot into BIOS.

  • Prevent Access to APEX Login

I have installed 3.0.1 on XE using port 8095 and need to allow access to two applications via the Internet using two different domain names. I have set iptables to only allow outside access to port 80 on IP 123.123.123.123. I am using Apache to direct requests to the correct application. Here is the code that I am using:
    <VirtualHost *:80>
    ServerName domain.com
    ServerAdmin [email protected]
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule ^/$ http://domain.com/apex/ [R]
    RewriteRule ^/apex/$ http://123.123.123.123:8095/apex/f?p=100:1 [P]
    RewriteRule ^/apex/(.*)$ http://123.123.123.123:8095/apex/$1 [P]
    ProxyPass / http:///123.123.123.123:8095/
    ProxyPassReverse / http:///123.123.123.123:8095/
    <Location />
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Location>
    </VirtualHost>
Outsiders cannot directly access 123.123.123.123:8095 and http://domain.com is directed to 123.123.123.123:8095/apex/f?p=100:1. Users will see http://domain.com/apex/f?p100:1:andalotmorehere as they browse. However, I realized that I could get to the APEX login with http://domain.com:80/apex or http://domain.com/apex/f?p=4550:1. Is there any way to prevent access to the APEX login to people outside of our local network? I would appreciate any help.
    Thank you,
    Minh

How exactly the APEX engine forces a '404' to be returned, I am not entirely sure. Perhaps it sends back the Response with the Header Status set to 404 ?Yes, with this process on the login page.
    begin
      if not #OWNER#.wwv_flow_security.ip_check then
          #OWNER#.wwv_flow.g_unrecoverable_error := true;
          sys.owa_util.status_line(404, 'Page Not Found');

I am having problems with my music collection, after burning all of my music to the computer I organized it into folders and placed it in the iTunes Folder. As of now i realize this was a mistake. Starting on a new computer now. I cant get my music to transfer from the itunes folder on the old computer? I keep getting error "Can't Read from the source file or disk." Whenever I got to folder properties its always checked read only. But when i play the song it works just fine. Im sure this is just because I added music into itunes folder but is there anyway to fix it?

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701
Or try a search for, for example, 'convert wma to mp3' to find programs to convert them.

I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

As the settings provided by the service provider are not compatible with IOS 6.1.2 and the service provider cannot do anything about it, as it's something that has to be ressolved by apple.

After burning a successful DVD in iDVD out of FCPX, how can I see the settings it used?
So I finally burned a DVD out of a Apple Pro Res file into iDVD in PAL format. My question now is how can I find out what the exact burn properties were so that I can apply the same burn properties to a project in Compressor 4?
Is it possible to see what iDVD did?

I don't know any way you can interrogate iDVD to reveal settings to the extent that you can in a Compressor project. What you could do is open up the show's VOB in MPEG STreamclip, go to File and Reveal Stream Information; that will at least give you some rudimentary info like average bit rate. Perhaps someone, with more iDVD experience, can chime in here.
The broader question is why use Compressor at all if your current workflow is doing the job to your satisfaction?
The value of Compressor is that it gives you control over the many parameters that affect size quality.  and playability. The Compressor presets can give you a starting point for DVD delivery, Web, etc. From those presets, people typically experiment by adjusting the parameters until they get the desired results for their specific show. It's a little bit science and a little bit art. After experimenting, you may be able to get slightly better quality for the project you've successfully burned in iDVD by using Compressor and something likeToast…or maybe not.
    Good luck.
