Prevent automatic workflow restart after error on an interface

Hi, i've got an IDOC-XI-SOAP interface that sends large xml's.
It causes me constants time-outs because, the reciever interface, doesn't send the response until finish processing (more than 3 minutes per IDOC).
I need 2 things to solve this issue.
1- Change the time-out for this particular interface
2- Cancel the automatic workflow restart after error on this particular interface
Thanks for your time,
Roberto

RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES program when schedueld in BG restarts failed messages. Hence you can cancel this process. But it will affect other interfaces also.

I have 1 more Question for you. Are you usigna  BPM for IDOC --> XI -- >SOAP?? B'cos IDOCS are aysnc in nature & you are talking about waiting for SOAP response from your receiver.

  • Question 2: Is it possible to start (restart after error) in te Batch!

    Hi,
Imagine then - I have a huge BPM (IP) with many loops, waits, transformation, forks etc... - And at a certain moment, some services are not available, and since I have connected an exception - the total process is ending in error, which is possible to restart manually with the monitor workbench. However - I would like to set a mechanism to restart in the batch (after 4 hours for example...) ... to avoid too much manual monitoring work.
Can this be done? - And are all the "memory" details still kept - and would the message start completely or take off where it stopped?
Maybe someone has an idea about it...
    Thanks very much!
    Kind Regards,

  • ADF 11g How to prevent reinvokation method action after error

We have a page with an action binding that is invoked automaticaly on entering the page:
    <executables>
    <invokeAction id="invokeProcess" Binds="process"/>
If an error (exeption) occurs the invoke action will be called 5 times. This is that our underlying BPEL-Process is also invoked 5 times.
How can we prevent the resubmit after an exception occures?

How are you bringing this up for edit? Via a dialog?
Have you looked at "setCurrentRowWithKeyStr" operation in the page def? Our application uses dialogs for editing one row at a time, when the user clicked on the row via a command link, we call setCurrentRowWithKey to make sure the view object's iterator cursor is at the right location when this record is brought up for edit.

  • Automatically Cancel Message after error detected in Mapping

    Hello experts,
I have a message mapping that does some validation on data from sender (file) and if not valid, the mapping errors out as I generate an alert. Production support then manually cancels the message from SXMB_MONI.
My question is: Is there a way to cancel the message automatically as soon as the alert is generated instead of the additional manual step for Production support personnel to do it.
    Thanks
    JB

    Hi,
    >any person looking at this thread would have expected you to respond to the issue/problem discussed,
in case you didn't notice I gave you the best answer I got - "it's not possible in standard" - short, maybe sad but true - all the rest is development
which is possible and you can do EVERYTHING with it as you may or may not know
    >speculate on which name or nickname appeared on it
don't know if you noticed but in case you didn't I'm a moderator of this forum
so I try to keep it both: 1) clean and 2) healthy which means:
    1) if there is someone who's is affraid to tell his own name it means two things for me:
    a) either he/she was blocked on forums and come back with a different name
    b) is so highly valued prof (in his mind) that wishes not to show his real name
as others might find out that he/she does not know something
in both cases I'm always very carefull with such forum members
(only as a moderator) as I cannot expect anything good from it
which is actually true in your case as you don't expect our forum
*rules of engagement * for example:
Step 4: Thank Others by Giving Points
and you never gave points .... none of your
34 questions was ever awarded by you with even one point
so who is playing fair ?
    2)
if someone who has a funny nick cannot understand a little joke
then I honestly don't care and it has nothing to do with my arrogance
    >your response shows your prejudiced approach and a sense of arrogance.
please, let other people who read this judge on that, ok?
and let's not continue this anymore
anyway good luck in your attitudes too

  • Automatic  agent restart after server reboot

Got a linux rac cluster, the nodes rebooted the other day. One agent started, the other didn't.
We have a shared agent home, anyone know what automatically restarts the agent? Just need to ascertain why the other didn't start.

When you deploy an agent on a linux host, Oracle automatically creates a file /etc/init.d/gcstartup that is responsible for startup of an agent (and OMS on oms host). Please, check that there are links to gcstartup in rc3.d/rc5.d something like this:
    # ls -l /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S??gcstartup
    lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 27 Apr 27 14:12 /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S98gcstartup -> /etc//rc.d/init.d/gcstartup

  • Restart Workflow after error in Production Server.

    Hi Experts,
We had a Problem in PO Release in production Server no we have set the release strategy again.
1)Can i Restart the Workflows from that date so that the PO which where in error will work with the new release strategy ?
    2) T code to Restart WF after Error is SWPR Right ? or should i Use SWPC
    3) Please tell me where to find WorkItem ID
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
if you know for what Key id you had wflow errored out, you can find it. FOr example, any invoice, Notification, etc., go to that document or notification, and click on the "Services for Obj" icon and go to workflow--->wflow over view. THis is how you get to the wflow log. And in that, youcan choose the Technical Details view which gives you the witem id.
Instead, you can use SWI6 and give the BO and exact key and you will get to wflow log..Or you can use Txn SWI2_DIAG..
    Hope this helps

  • SWPC to restart workflows after error

I use SWPC normally to restart WFS after errors,But i can only do that for some Workflows..
Do i have to include the WFs in any configuration to be able to restart them after error..
For instance for a leave request Workflow when it is ended with errors,I was able to give the WI in teh SWPC and continue the WF
But for Other WF when it ended with error i am not able to see those WIS in SWPC to restart them..Please Suggest if tehre is any alternative to restart those WF's ?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Try using SWPR. Use this transaction where it is possible to continue from the exact point of failure without a new instance.
    Hope it helps..!

macbook froze while online. hard shutdown. when it restarted, an error message appeared saying finder shut down unexpectedly containing a message box with a long list of technical jibberish.  after clicking OK that it would send an error report to Apple, the same error message box appeared again and again every time OK was clicked.  Now the macbook will not turn on at all

If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Select the most recent panic log under System Diagnostic Reports. Post the contents — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post "shutdownStall" or "hang" reports.
If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all.
Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can’t boot in safe mode.

  • Error coming out of Workflow restart - Error:OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO

    Hi all,
After restarting the workflow through SWPR we are getting an error message as per mentioned below.
Error coming out of Workflow restart - Error:OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO.
Kindly suggest what can be the possibility of the error. I scehduled the SWPR program in the background and passed some workflows and getting this error message in the background job. Kindly suggest.
    Thanks,
    Neslin.

I think you need to analyse the Workflow log and then try to restart. I think you might have to change the container element value in order to remove the error. Please check and act accordingly.
    Thanks
