Prevent portal page from open automatic

Hi there,
i got this issue:
A portal page opening an external fullscreen window and defined as first entry point in second level navigation, should not be openend automatically when clicking on the corresponding top-level navigation entry.
It should only open when explicitly clicking on its navigation button on second-level navigation.
Any idea ?

The Portal expects content to be displayed when clicking on TLN. Either content assigned to the TLN or to any of the second level navigation items.
But there is not always a reason why I should I have assigned any content  to a TLN item.
Furthermore if I don't want any page from second level to be displayed automatically because the user has no preferences in advance. And he doesn't want any kind of starting page or so. In our case all those pages open in external windows. So if I would make one of them the starting page and the user doesn't need this one, he first must close the window and then select the desired one.
This is much more uncomfortable I think.
Cheers
Walter

  • Prevent audio editor from opening automatically

    Hello everyone,
I'm using Cp 5 on Windows 7. When I drag audio from the library to a slide, the audio editor opens automatically each time. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I have a lot of slides to do and this "feature" is bogging down my workflow big-time. I've checked as many settings/preferences as I know but can't find it.
    Thanks!

  • HOW DO I DISABLE THE "PREVENT THIS PAGE FROM OPENING ADDITIONAL DIALOG BOXES" OPTION ONCE SELECTED?

I clicked 'OK' thinking it reated to a specific dialog box, but now need it reversed.
Out of interest, I'm editing a weebly website design, and without the "are you sure you want to delete..." dialog, I can't actually delete anything!
    Thanks!

This should work if you reload the page and bypass the cache.
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

  • AFter the latest download, my e-mail service keeps getting a bar at the top "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page". I have to keep hitting the "Allow" link? How do I get rid of this?

Ever since the last update, I'm having problem accessing my e-mail account. I keep getting an annoying bar at the top of the screen "Firebox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." I have to keep hitting the allow button, sometimes twice. And when I do get into the accounts the bar jumps in and out every time I open a new e-mail, or delete and old one.
How do I get rid of this. I've had this account for years, with a very reputable private e-mail provider. This is nuts.

No I'm not using NoScript, but I'm pleased to report that the problem got resolved by deleting the original bookmark, logging in again, opening Google calendar, then bookmarking it again.

  • Firefox prevents a new page from opening? why?

Each time I click on a link in my email, I get an error msg after a new tab is opened:
"Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page"
And I have to always click the tab that says "ALLOW"
    Why????

Thank you! . . . I thought I had clicked and unclicked everything that was relevant to this thorny problem, but apparently not.
I never had this Firefox problem before, when I used previous versions over the years (I guess Firefox default checked-it in a new version).

  • Error message on d-top and laptop--Firefox prevented this page from automatically loading--what do I need to do to fix/stop this from happening?

More often than not, I get the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading". I click ALLOW and it comes back. I click the X and it goes away and allows the page to reload.
It occurs on my homepage (MSNBC) and a few -- but not all -- of my bookmarked pages.
At times, the message DOES NOT appear but I don't know what I've done to change anything to have it not appear. A couple of days later, the message is back upon loading my homepage.
This is especially annoying when trying to get into my banking website after attempting to log in...sometimes, it doesn't work and other times, after 3 or 4 refreshes, it loads.
Any suggested solutions will be appreciated.

Could you please help me how to call a .html page

    Kalyani KothaKalyani,
Could you explain a little more exactly what you're trying to acheive? I'm not quite sure what it is you're asking for. Are you asking: "how would you/can you open a browser and direct it to a URL with PL/SQL?"

You should still disable this setting:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
