Preventing further changes to sheets in a document that reference other sheets

I am working on an inventory/cost/profit document for my restaurant. I have created one sheet that has all of the costs of separate ingredients and calculated cost of each individual dish (my "menu/cost" sheet). I created a new sheet template for my daily bookkeeping which references the previous sheet (e.g. uses the cost from the "menu/cost" sheet to estimate the amount of profit made from units sold that day). I then have a monthly sheet, which takes the totals of each daily sheet to give me an overview of my monthly sales.
The problem is, when a variable in the "menu/cost" calendar changes (ex: the price of a certain ingredient goes up) I want it to affect all of my subsequent daily sheets based off of the template, but not the sheets of days past. I could export each day as a separate document as the day passes, but I still need the monthly totals to reference the data contained therein.
Is there a way I can lock down the data contained within a table/sheet so that the data that have been generated don't change, even if they are based on data in other tables still subject to change?
Thanks,
D

Hi D,
The easiest way to do this is to:
Click in cell A1 of the table to be 'fixed', press command-A to Select All, then copy.
Go Edit > Paste Values.
This replaces all formulas in the table with the last calculated value. The change is not reversable (except through the Undo command, if done before closing the file—and stepping back through all other changes made since the Past Values was done).
Not an issue if you use a template to create each month's document.

Barry

Hello, In Lion 10.7.x I cannot disable the Lock documents for 2 weeks in Time Machine! Thus it prevents to change anything else like the system preferences or other settings. All is locked. How I can disable it?

Do you mean the check box isn't enabled?
Or you remove the check but it doesn't "stick"?
Or you remove the box but documents are stil getting locked?
That setting doesn't apply to other things in System Preferences, just apps that support AutoSave and Versions.  If you're having a problem with System Prefs, please clarify exactly what.

  • Undo 'click to prevent further changes'

I think I may have clicked on one of those padlocks which prevent further changes, in Internet Connect.
I changed my password some months ago but my iBook won't remember it so every time I connect I have to enter the password.
When I close Internet Connect it offers me the option to save changes, which I agree to each time, but the number of encrypted characters changes back to the old password.
If I have locked to prevent changes, is there any way I can undo it?
    Thanks for your help.

Good grief, I just clicked connect instead of laboriously typing in the password again and it worked although I'm sure it didn't before.
    Thanks for that

  • EbMS with custom xsd document which import other xsd's

    Hi,
I've created a ebMS partner agreement with a custom document type, which is actually importing other xsd's.
When trying to create the AQ Adapter service WSDL, it returns a WSDL Read Error, with an error importing schema's. Unable to parse schema ...
It looks like the imported xsd's are not deployed.
    Anyone seen this before ?
    Thanks,
    Guido

It is definitely possible to use XSDs that reference other XSDs in Oracle B2B 10g for "Custom Document over ebMS".
Whether or not it matters whether you use "import" or "include" I'm not sure, but import works as long as your schemas validate end-to-end with namespaces and such.
You need to ensure that all the paths in your schemas are relative rather than pointing to files on your hard drive's filesystem or on the Internet.
So you'll have something like this in your root schema:
    <xsd:import schemaLocation="foo.xsd" namespace="http://example.com/foo">
    <xsd:import schemaLocation="bar.xsd" namespace="http://example.com/bar">
When you create a ZIP file containing all the schemas required, make sure everything is top-level in the ZIP file (i.e., no subdirectories at all). Then you upload the ZIP file and in the next box tell B2B the name of the root schema. For the example above, you'd have a ZIP file containing:
    root.xsd
    foo.xsd
    bar.xsd
Of course you can have subdirectories and stuff in the ZIP file, but then you'll need to specify relative paths in your root XSD that reflect that.
Also, if the schemas you are importing in turn import other schemas, you need to alter them to use relative paths and include them in your ZIP file.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Suzette,
Once the document is digitally signed it will not allow further changes.

  • How to prevent PO changes in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?

    Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me how to prevent PO changes (ANY) in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?
I would like to make it possible without release strategy process or authorizations.
Do you know some User Exit or Customazing way?
    Regards.
    Jaime S.

    Dear Jaime S,
You can do this by restricting in authorization SHDO and also by marking "changes not possible after release" in Release strategy procedure.
And also you can navigate the menu to, SPRO------>IMG------>Material Management--->Purchasing(OLME)------->Purchase Order---->Define screen Layouts at Document Level---->And go to ME22n And Select the right parameter and in this you can make it display, optional or required entry for the fields.

  • How can I change one section of the document to a landscape orientation and not the whole document?

How can I change one section of the document to a landscape orientation and not the whole document?

Page Setup, including page orientation, is done in the File menu. The setting applies to the whole document. As Peter says, you can rotate the contents of a page (not including the text layer of a word processing document).
As an alternative, you could use Numbers, where Sheets are empty canvases onto which you may place images, charts, tables and text boxes, and where page orientation may be set for individual Sheets. The main tradeoff is that you lose many of the built-in word processing and page layout features of Pages.

I have a long numbers document, that I'd like to make more print friendly.
It is a list of my DVD's that I just listed one after the other (1-200) when I tried to print it, it would be 18 pages,
can I change it to be more like columns side by side to save paper?

    S,
I assume that you also have Pages on your computer (or some other capable WP program). I also assume that you have eliminated any unnecessary columns, so you have a 1-column table in Numbers.
When it comes time to print, Copy the entire Table: Click on the table name in the Sheets Pane and Command-C.
Switch to Pages, open a blank WP template and set the number of columns to 3 or so. With the Text Insertion Cursor flashing on the first line of the first column of the blank template, Command-V. Your table should paste into the Pages document as an Inline Object and will Wrap on the page as you desire. Then Print in Pages.

  • List Invoice documents as per Reference Document(GR,Service Entry sheet)

    HI,
I am looking for sap standard tcode which shows a list of Invoice document against Reference Document(GR,Service Entry sheet,PO).
I have checked few tcodes MB5s, MIR4, MIR5 But they not shows REfernece document (As specified in MIRO ie. GR, Service Entry)
In purchase order history it is very difficult  to find out against which GR or SErvice entry sheet Invoice has been posted. Suppose against one GR multiple invoice document has been posted then we go though display MIRO and one by one check Reference document specified over there.

    Hi,
Try with ME80FN T Code, try by changing/adding the fields.
If you are not happy with the report you can create a SAP Query using the table MSEG,MKBF, RSEG, RBKP.

  • Numbers hangs on documents with references to other sheets

When I made the first edit (only) on a Numbers document that has references to other sheets in that document, Numbers hangs for about 2 minutes. (This problem doesn't happen on documents without references.) This has been true for some time and I hoped the newest Numbers version would fix it. But, alas. (Numbers 2.1)

If you change the formula to have a reference to Sheet1, column B will act like column D.I saw an answer that says the sort is practically a
    copy.
"Sorting formulas is essentially the same as copying formulas. If a formula goes from row 2 to row 4 and that would be the same as if the formula were copied from row 2 to row 4 then there is not problem with the formulas. if copying the formulas would result
in different results the sort would not work as desired."
Although, when investigating this solution manually, a problem manifested in Column E. But I think as far as the actual Excel behavior, this (copy) is a better explanation than the cell being cut.
I speculate that the programers made Excel short-circuit (i.e. not move) when the formula is specified as a local cell.
I don't see an answer, but
this documentation alludes to differing behavior based on formula results:
"Check to see if the values returned by a formula have changed    If the data that you have sorted contains one or more formulas, the return values of those formulas might change when the worksheet is recalculated. In
this case, make sure that you reapply the sort to get up-to-date results."
It looks like you're keen to the behavior, so now you should be more proficient to use the types of references for differing situations.

  • SAP MM - How to prevent further GR if delivery completed in MIGO

    Hi Experts,
    Scenario:
    1. Partial GR has been made for PO.
    2. Delivery Completed is already set/ticked upon the partial GR.
We would like to ask if it is possible to prevent further GR for a PO that has been partially GR'ed already using transaction MIGO? Is there a field in MIGO that we can use to tag PO as closed?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi,
you can only set the delivery complete indicator during the receipt. This does not stop any further receipts.
The only option is to change the purchase order in me22n. You could set the latest GR date (and change the message to an error in customising) or reduce the order quantity to that which has been delivered and set the tolerances to zero to prevent another delivery.

  • How to forbid any further changes for PO (QTY and price ) after it has been

    Hi,
How to forbid any further changes for PO (QTY and price ) after it has been done GR and LIV? Thanks.

    Hi,
Price anyway cannot be changed once GR is posted on the PO item, it can be changed only by cancelling the GR, the same applies to IR too.
But quantity can be changed at any time.
So if you are looking at blocking qty too, then a customized message through save exit is the option, I am not aware of any standard SAP messages that can be configured to achieve this..

Better to post this in logistic forum.
THere will be some config option to do so but normal FI perosn would need to dig deep, a MM perosn should answer quickly.

  • Any one knows how to change "TransptnPlanng date" in delivery document?

    Deal All,
Could any one provide the BAPI/FM that can change "TransptnPlanng" date/time in inbound/outbound delivery documents?
I need to update the dates only in ABAP program based on external information.
I tried WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE with the following parameters setup:
    VBKOK_WA-VBELN_VL = target delivery number
    VBKOK_WA-TDDAT = "12/12/2009"
    VBKOK_WA-TDUHR = "12:12:12"
(for the other fields in structure VBKOK_WA, I leave them blank)
    DELIVERY = target delivery number
After run the FM in test mode, no error returns but no data updated in the delivery... (dates not change)
Do I need to specify all the other fields for the delivery (like delivery date, line item details etc) even though I just want to update two fields in the header of the delivery?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Wenling

BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE works in this case (just to change the date)
Need to put "X" on the date field on structure BAPIOBDLVHDRCTRLCHG and need to use table BAPIDLVDEADLN with correct date type to update.
Thank you all for your replies.

  • How can I stop Pages from changing the date of a document?

It seems that at some point not long ago, I set Pages to use the current date when I use a template that I made.  But now, when I open an existing document that was made with that template, the date is changed to the current date.  I certainly do not want that to happen.  Does anyone know what I can do to stop Pages from doing this?  Thanks so much for any input.
    Al
Update:  Immediately after posting this question, I found the simple answer:  double clicking the date and unchecking the 'automatic update' box.

Right click on the date to change its behavior and once you have fixed it resave your template.
