Preventing iPhone from restoring using iTunes

Hi all
Is there any way to prevent the iphone from being restored when connected to iTunes?
I want to do this because everytime the iPhone is restored, there is an option to restore as a new phone, and the iPhone has some "Restriction" settings that would be removed in this case. I would like the "Restriction" settings to be in place and prevent it from being bypassed.
Please advise, thanks.

You can setup iTunes to not sync the iPhone automatically when connected to the computer.
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Devices tab.
Select:  Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads form syncing automatically
Click OK.
