Preventive Maintenance Planning - change call date of future calls

Hello,
we are using time based maintenance plans to schedule our maintenance obligations towards customers. After creating the plan and scheduling (IP10) we get the scheduled calls proposed by the system.
Now we want to use IP10 or IP19 to move those planned call dates that are in the future without releasing the predecssor calls but it gives us an error: "Maintenance plan 16.04.2009: Predecessor to still on hold".
Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

Hi Tobias
As per your query... you cannot move the call dates which are in the future. First you have to skip the cal which are before the future cal date. then only you can do...

Diagnosis
There are no operations for the calculated planned date.
At least one task list assigned to a maintenance item for the maintenance plan had not yet been created in the system or was not valid on the calculated planned date or the required start date 26.07.2010 for the order.
The start date of the order is therefore always before the planned date of the call if you work with a preliminary buffer in the maintenance package of the maintenance strategy.
You cannot call the maintenance plan on this date.

Deadline monitoring in preventive maintenance plan scheduling

Dear Experts,
we are having only single cycle time based & performance based preventive maintenance plans. The individual plans are weekly, monthly or based on specific counter readings. Now i want to schedule it automatically through IP30. since there are plans with different units like days or hours how can i schedule it through IP30? is it possible to run separate IP30 for counter based single cycle plans? Is it ok if I run the program on every midnight? I am confused on the scheduling through IP30. please give me the clarity...Please do the needful.

Yes you can run IP30 with single cycle plans.
As IP30 can run for many hours (dependent upon number of plans) it is best to schedule the IP30 job at a time when there are fewest users on-line e.g. midnight on Saturday or Sunday. The timing is very much dependent upon your organisation.

It should be someones responsibility in your organisation to review the scheduling log after every IP30 run

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a way to get call data for forwarded calls. Specifically calls forwarded to an extension from the Cisco Attendant Console.

Change of preventive maintenance plan

Hi All,
My scenario is,
1)I create maintenance strategy for preventive strategy plan.
2)assign that strategy to task list
3) create one maintenance plan
After some time i want to add one more package to both strategy as well as in task list.
can these changes reflect in my maintenance plan created before?

Hi Bhanu,
what you are saying is not possible for what all dates the documents are generated, but once the changes have been done then the orders generated after that can have the changes.

Maintenance Plan: Change Yearly cycle

Hello,
We created maintenance plans for an equipment that has: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly task.
THe date we initiated this maintenance plan was 6/1/2009. Is there a way to change the Yearly task date to 6/30/2010, but still keep the rest of the cycles the same dates?.
*Note we currently have a s'Schedule date of "0 days"

I assume that you are using a Time Based Strategy Plan for this. I also assume that you have created Packages of Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly in the Strategy & a Suitable Task list for it.
If you have not done my assumptions, please do them first and then carryout below steps. (Aviod weekly package if you want the date exactly on 06/30/2010, if it is compulsory then you will get approximately yearly package at that time)
After you create a Strategy plan for the Equipment and save.
Set Scheduling Indicator as Time-Key Date. (Possible only with packages in multiplications of Months)
Goto IP10 and Say Start in Cycle & give the Completion date as 6/30/2009 and in the Offset select the package as Yearly.
Now all the dates will adjust based on the requirement.

Preventive Maintenance Plan Material requirement forecast

Is there any way I get to know what whether the materials included in Tasklist of maintenance plan are available or not , Just like forecasting or material requirement planning.

I dont think this is possible. You may have to extend the standard simulation program for scheduling to include the Components. You will also have to call the material availability check FM to analyse the demand for the required date.
Even then there is no guarantee for material availability when the Order is actually called.

PP workcenter blocking by PM preventive Maintenance Plan

Hi Friends and Experts,
Giving the system cond "0" in Task list header data is not showing any impact on PP work center, i mean that PP work center is not getting loaded. This is working only when i mention 0 in the the header data of maint order.
Can we know whether a workcenter is planned for preventive maintenance on any sunday or holiday in advance before the maintenance order is created.
can any body throw some light.

Hi Sankar,
Mentioning the PP work center in your Equipment Master & mentioning 0 in task list header of that equipment. So that when Maintenance Guy will create a Maintenance plan & assign the relevant task list to that plan, then immediately after scheduling you will be able to see the forthcoming dates when your PP workcenter is blocked for maintenance.

Inspection Plan - Change order date Combination issue

We are facing 1 issue in our system.
The Inspection plan assignments with new change orders is not assigning the correct inspection plan.
Example:
Plan                       Change Number               Valid from Date
1                              CO-1                                1/01/2007
2                              CO-2                                1/01/2008
3                              CO-3                                1/01/2010
The plan selected when Change order CO-2 is cut in, is plan 1 but should be Plan 2. We believe the date on the CO does not drive the selection of the most current plan. When plan 3 is implemented after plan 2, Plan 2 is selected.
Any one has faced this kind of issue in your exp?

BI-IP To track the planning changes after Data Locking

Hi All,
Need your help to design solution for one critical user requirement in IP.
We all know that in CC Planning, every month after certain date we lock the planning tool and freeze the data. But on exceptional basis, we might require to unlock planning tool to allow users to do some changes in planning data.
User wants to track these changes and report it out. Is there any standard functionality that SAP-IP has provided to track these kind of changes? If not what is the best way to achieve this?

Hi,
You need to have additional characteristics for User & Date in your RTP to record who changed when and what plan record.
Then you can create a characteristic relationship of type 'Exit Class' to derive User Id(last changed by) and the date(last modified).
Itu2019s not necessary to include User-ID and Date in any of the aggregation levels, but the Source Characteristic(Company code may be in your case) based on which the values are derived for User-ID & Date, must be present in each aggregation level.
Then create a custom class say ZCL_LOC_CR_LINE_ITEM by taking class CL_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_BASE as super class and then redefine the method DERIVE of interface IF_RSPLS_CR_METHODS in your class.
You can write following code in your method DERIVE:
CLEAR e_t_mesg.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <l_chavl> TYPE ANY.
ASSIGN COMPONENT '/BIC/ZUSERID' OF STRUCTURE c_s_chas TO <l_chavl>.
<l_chavl> = sy-uname.
ASSIGN COMPONENT '0DATE' OF STRUCTURE c_s_chas TO <l_chavl>.
<l_chavl> = sy-datlo.
This will solve your purpose.

Preventive maintenance plan

I have one question. I want to fill one filed in operation when order is created. Scenario.
1. I create meintenance plan with task list.
2. Then I schedule this plan with automation creation of orders. So when proper day come new order is created. But when this order is created I want to add value in user field for operations in this order. Is there any possibility to do this?

SAP adapter giving the merged result set (First RFC call data + Second RFC call data) for second RFC call

I have a WCF Adapter service to call a SAP RFC. When I call the RFC first time, it gives me correct no of result set but when I call this RFC second time immediately after first call, it gives me merged result set (First Result set + Second Result Set).
e.g. We have a RFC which receives vendor number and blank object of result set as parameter and gives back the list of purchase orders as Response in object of result set for that vendor.
Suppose, we have a vendor "a" and vendor "b". For vendor "a" there are 5 purchase orders and for vendor "b", we have 4 purchase orders in SAP. When I call the WCF adapter service for this RFC for vendor "a",
it gives me 5 purchase orders. Immediately after first call, when I call WCF service for vendor "b", it gives me 9 (5+4) purchase order records which is wrong.
In brief, one RFC call is affected by its previous call.
For each new WCF request, a new object of result set is created, connection is opened, rfc is executed and connection is closed.
Can anybody have any idea on this?

Difference in Maintenance Plan date to Order basic start date

If i creat a strategy plan and schedule, i am getting difference in PLan date in Maint plan to Basic start date. What is making this difference. How to overcome this. I need Order start date same as PLan date.

Maintenance Plan and Subsequent Order Generation in Preventive Maintenance

I have an equipment which has 6 Maintenance Activities.
The following is the sequence of maintenance schedules:
1) Activity I - Maintenance scheduled once in a year - During March
2) Activity II - Maintenance scheduled twice a year - During March and September
3) Activity III - Maintenance scheduled thrice a year - During January, May, September
4) Activity IV - Maintenance scheduled thrice a year - During February, June, October
5) Activity V - Maintenance scheduled four times a year - January, April, July, October
6) Activity VI - Maintenance scheduled six times a year - January, July
7) Activity VII - Maintenance scheduled six times a year - February, August
How to create a Task list for the above scenario and subsequent maintenance plan. If orders are generated from the maintenance plant how can they be scheduled according to the above scenario. Should we create a single task list with only one group counter or should there be multiple group counters for each of the above given activities.
Can anyone throw some light on the subject.

it is not possible to acheive your requirement with single task list.
Also you cannot specify the exact month where the call date will lie on the month specified,even you create strategy for once in 3 month and 9 months it will be rotated from the last scheduled one ,ie after completion of 9 month then next will be 12 month instead of next year 3 rd month
either you create seperate task list with maintenance plan on fixed date ,for example create a maintenance plan for once in year cycle and put start date for Act 1 as 01/03/2009 hence system will create call object on the specified period or refer [HELP|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/dd/23608bc1c211d395c400a0c93029cf/content.htm]
