Preview contact sheets for CC?

Is there any way that previewing what a contact sheet will look like in Photoshop can be enabled? Like when you go to bridge, select the images then go to "Tools < Photoshop < Contact Sheet II" then in the Contact Sheet options there used to be a little "preview" box. Well at least it used to exist, but it might have been phased out, I don't really follow the changes in the updates much.
Thanks in advance,
Me

No.  CantactSheetII has changed over the years. It use to have features like Picture Package, layout and previews and bugs.   It was a compiled program.  Now a days Contact sheet has been re-implemented using Photoshop Scripting.   Script are not compiled programs they are interpreted as they are executed. Script run slower the compiled code so some features like layout previews would be painfully slow not useful imo.  Picture Package IMO is a bigger lost then preview layouts.  Adobe I believe dropped Contactsheet what we have today is thanks to X.  He will be maintaining ContactSheeII script for some time how long that time will be has not been made known.

  • Trying to create a contact sheet for passport photos....HELP!

Aperture 3 and iMac are both new to me and after a lot of research, I finally figured out how to make a contact sheet for my passport photo so that I don't have to pay 10.00 for a measly 2x2 photo at Walgreen's. I went to file>print>selected the 8x10 borderless size and adjusted the picture so that I would be able to print 20 2x2 photos on one sheet. PERFECT....but....I don't really want to print it myself ( I don't have any photo paper right now )...I want to SAVE the image I created and upload it to Walgreen's so that they can print it. Then, I will cut out the 2x2 photo that I need. The only problem right now is that I cannot figure out how to SAVE the image to my computer, either in iPhoto or Aperture 3. If anyone knows, can you please help me out with this. OR if there is another way to create the image in another area of Aperture 3 I would like to know how!
Thanks for any help you can provide

Once in print after you have the layout you want select the Print button. This will bring up the  system print window (not actually print the image yet).
At the bottom of the new window is a button PDF select that. From that pulldown you can elect to save the print image as a pdf or better yet for your need you can save  as a JPG (or TIFF)
Once you have it saved as a JPG you can upload to Walgreen;s

  • Contact sheet for all pages in a book

In the Bridge there is a command to make a contact sheet for an InDesign document. Is there a way to make a contact sheet for all the documents in a book at the same time?

You may be able to do that with JavaScript (check the scripting forum for help there). Otherwise, I think I remember such in the preflight options. At least worth a check.

  • Contact Sheet for InDesign CS4 Available now

There has been a significant discussion on the lack of a Contact Sheet for InDesign in CS4.
I have written and, a few minutes ago, released a CS4 version on my site: www.creativescripting.net

User Access Control and Pain In The Arse.
There's something going on with the system if the profile check is taking two hours. How much free space is left on the hard drive?
Is there some sort of minimum-required configuration you can boot to, similar to running MSconfig in XP and turning off startup programs and non-Microsoft services? It really sounds like there is still something running in the background that is conflicting. You are certain that anti-virus is not running? I'd also be sure that no browser toolbars are loaded, nor any instant messenger or music programs, and have a local printer, rather than a network printer, set as the default and online.

  • Contact Sheets for Illustrator Vector Art

Is there a way to generate a "contact sheet" PDF of Illustrator vector files that doesn't convert the individual contact views from vector to rasterized?
I use CS5 Bridge now for making contact sheets and the results are too fuzzy to be useful especially when some of the vector art items are smaller than the frame on the contact sheet

Bob, still does his ID script you could see if that does what you want? It's not free thou… Anyhow the link…

  • Contact sheets for PSE9...help please. :)

At my office the last version we had was PSE2....Gasp!! The contact sheets were so simple and I've tried and tried to figure out how to do them in Photoshop Elements 9 to no avail. For example, I want to print 10 images (all contained in one folder on our server) - 2 per page. Please please help. I am amazed at how much we relied on that function. Thank you!

As an alternative, you can create your own template:
Open a new, blank file (File>new>blank file) and set width & height in the inch size of your paper stock (5x7" for example)), resolution 300px/in, background white (can be any color)
Access the rectangular marquee tool, and in the the tool's option bar select "Fixed size", and put in 3.00x2.25", for example. Turn on the grid and snap to grid via View>grid & snap to grid. You can configure the grid via Edit>preferences>Guides and grids if you want to.
Duplicate the background layer, and create the first box by clicking with the rectangular marquee tool. Position the box, then fill it with 50% gray (Edit>fill selection, and under contents select 50% gray.) Select>deselect gets rid of the marching ants
Repeat for the next box. You should now have a document containing two rectangular boxes filled with 50% gray.
Select the first box that you wish to fill (with the picture) with the magic wand tool. On the tool's option bar be sure that contiguous is checked. You should see "marching ants" around the selection, indicating that it is active.
Open picture 1, go to Select>all, Edit>copy, then go to your layout as completed in step #5, and Edit>paste into selection
Your image will be larger that the rectangular box, but you can drag it around to position the person that you wish to display. CTRL+T will allow you to resize the image with the corner handles, and to maneuver it
Repeat for picture 2 with the 2nd box

  • Installed CS4 and it doesn't have the Contact Sheet for Photoshop

It was under "Tools - Photoshop" and it isn't there. I also don't have it in the Photoshop Automate either.  Anyone have the same problem.

Use the Output module. I hated it as first, now wonder how I managed with the old contact sheet.
Make sure to run Updater to get latest Output module with more options.

  • Indesign Contact Sheet script for Adobe Bridge 1.0.4.6

Our company currently has all the Adobe CS2 products but as stand alone applications and not part of the Creative Suite. Therefore, we don't seem to have all the functionality of the suite.
In particular the script to create Contact Sheets from Indesign CS2 of items through the script in Adobe Bridge.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add the functionality of the contact sheet script for Indesign to Bridge without having the Adobe Creative Suite? And Why?
We are looking for something to replace an extension used by Quark to create contact sheets from Badia software. I am loath to upgrade this extension unless absolutely necessary. We receave thousands of photo's a week and output contact sheets for our editors to pick and choose which photos they want/like.
    Thanks in advance.

Why? Are you talking CPU hours or staff-hours? Does your workflow require heavy
user interaction or is something else the problem?

  • Contact sheet: where to set size & can I print with another software?

Using contact sheet for first time. nice! Blows away Photoshop just as the LR web galleries blow away all others.
Question: I cannot find where to set the print size, I want to do 11x14
Also can I save the file and print from Imageprint?
The help page online talked about templates. I don't see them. Thank You.

Thanks ... tried the Paper Handling, but no lock.
Based on the fact that any scaling, "moves" the image down and to the left on the paper ...
Th only "work around" solution is to ...
Rotate the PDF page 180, then scale slightly (90% or so ...)
This pushes the upside down page, down and to the left.
While this is the opposite of what is desired, the print is then correct when
it is punched and placed into a three ring binder.
Assumption is the application that creates the documnt, needs to have the paper margins set. The reality is, an application like Preview, that does not "create anything", needs to handle existing documents PDF, JPEG and print to Custom Page configurations.
ie: In Preview, Custom Page does not work correctly,

  • Contact Sheets - Life Poster

Anybody seen the How-To post at this blog:
    http://www.mikematas.com/2005/01/how-to-make-life-poster.html
It also talks about putting a panoramic picture in the top row (7 cells across) but doesn't explain how to do it. Does anybody know how to utilize multiple cells in the contact sheet for a "bigger" picture?

I'm running a test wtih Arial. Pretty simple right? In the OS print preview I can see the full meta data, but when printed it's still cutting off Meta Data...Here's a sample of what I'm getting. I can't figure out Aperture's preference with what it will print and what it will ....

  • Is it possible to change the number of rows while printing a contact sheet in Iphoto? Please help

Hi guys, I am struggling to find out how to change the number of rows on a contact sheet on Iphoto , i have selected my photos and i want it to print 6 photos on each page however I am not able to do it.      Please help me out, im a Art student and i need to submit my contact sheets for an assignment  Thanks in advance guys !!!!!

I don't think you can do that with the Contact Sheet layout.  If you have Pages or a 3rd party image editor that supports layers you can do what you want.  Or try the demo version of OmniGraffle for Mac It will run fully operational for 14 days.

  • I have several issues that I hope you can help me out with. I am a professional photographer with a Mac with OS X 10.9.4: - I can only make ONE contact sheet in CS6 (from AUTOMATE) from pictures indicated in Bridge. If I want to make another contact sheet

I have several issues that I hope you can help me out with. I am a professional photographer with a Mac with OS X 10.9.4:
    - I can only make ONE contact sheet in CS6 (from AUTOMATE) from pictures indicated in Bridge. If I want to make another contact sheet I need to shut down and restart CS6.
    - Camera RAW: if I change any setting in Camera RAW (except exposure), having first optimized the exposure, the exposure will automatically return to zero. Sometimes when I've set exposure and cropped the picture in Camera RAW Plug-In, the effects are lost just by opening the picture in CS6.
    - Sometimes if I crop a picture in Camera RAW, it may be impossible to open it again from Bridge!
    - I cannot do lens corrections in Camera RAW, at all. The Camera RAW comment is that "it cannot load the correct lens type". Why?

Are you writing that when you select  a large number of images in the bridge  like a hundred thumbnails  when you then use Bridge menu Tools>Photoshop>Contact Sheet II that Photoshop only produces a single contact sheet for the first few thumbnails and fails to produce additional contact sheets for the other selected thumbnails? Photoshop contact sheet II script should create as many contact sheet as needed  for the numbers of thumbnails selected.  Perhaps the script is hung or you have exhausted  your machine resources.
ACR Crop tool does not crop the RAW file it records crop settings to be used during the conversion process.    Camera RAW DATA is not altered.  The only changes made to RAW Files is ACR Metadata may be added.  Anything you do in ACR can be un-done in ACR.    If you can not open a RAW File in ACR the Files is either corrupt or from a new camera ACR does not support yet.  ACR should not corrupt RAW files.
If you do not have a lens profile for ACR I think you should still be able to do lens correction manually in ACR.
Some of what you write I don't follow could you post some screen captures of your problems often a picture helps.

  • Design a contact sheet my way somehow?

I would like to be able to make a "contact sheet" for web posting.
The print module lets me set the layout I want.
Now I need to change the background to black, the type to white.
Then I want to make a 72 dpi export for web posting.
Can this be done? I cant see it so far.

You can design your site in iWeb and upload it to either .Mac or a commercial server.
You would then provide the domain name registrar with your server ID number or, in the case of .Mac, your .Mac URL and instruct them to point your domain name in that direction.
.Mac is neither intended for, nor the best option, for a business site.
For example the company I host with - Host Excellence - allows you a free domain name registration and up to 6 sites with unlimited web mail and more server space than you are likely to need for about the cost of a .Mac account.
Commercial servers are a lot more reliable than .Mac, have wider bandwidth and usually have good tech support.
You only have to look at the number of problems in this forum concerning .Mac to see that tech support is not readily available from Apple.
I'm not putting down .Mac. I use it myself for various purposes and it is good for its intended use of one clicking publishing of personal websites.

  • Contact Sheet II question

I'm running CS3 and make contact sheets for weddings. 50 to 100 8.5x11 sheets is typical. Is there a way to get CS3 to save and close each contact sheet after its made, rather than leaving it as an open document on the desktop. It's a pain to have to manually save and close each one separately, and I have run out of Ram on occasion because of too many open documents, so CS3 can't finish the contacts. I didn't see anything in the forum search.
    Thanks JeffN-

I'll answer my own question so others can benefit from it or a future search.
A free script called CSX contact sheet X fits the bill. Custom everything, including the option to save the and close the completed contact sheets, even save them as a Jpeg if you want. Find it at

  • Contact Sheets?

I used to create contact sheets - for large amounts of image files - in Photoshop for years, but now in CS5 that feature is gone. I heard it moved to Bridge, but I can't find it in there either. I've tried going through Photoshop AND Bridge's Help Menu, but I'm still lost. After having spent 1.5 hours on this, and it still doesn't work...How can I create Contact Sheets? *Help*

quick search came up with the following
