Preview Highlighting colours not showing in other PDF viewing programs

Hi,
I'm new to OSX and today discovered that Preview can mark up PDFs with highlighted colours - pretty cool
However when the saved PDF is viewed with other programs; Adobe Reader XI on both Windows and MAC and Foxit Reader, the highlighted colours are so faint you can easily miss them and its very hard to distingiush between yellow and green.
Anyone else come across this?

Preview freeze and not working fine on PDF view (building plans)

When opening a PDF in preview (mostly building plans) some lines are not viewable. When enlarging the pdf and every time i'm scrolling preview freeze for a 30".
(in quick view (mail) the hole PDF is perfect viewable but not scaleable)
Also secured PDF could not be enlarged.
This al worked perfect on Mavericks on my other Imac 27" i7 16GB (mid 2011) 10.9 before upgrading to 10.10 (now it have de same problems as my brand new 5k)
I hope apple coms whit an solution quickly.

Firewall issues were preventing this problem.

E9 photo fix not showing in other photoshop or programs

I spent a long time fixing several problems of a photo in Elements 9 and saved under a new name so I could keep the original.
I later opened the newly named photo in Windows picture and fax viewer and it looked exactly as the original except for a whole picture tone change that was made to take out a red cast.
None of the torn edge, dust and scratches and water spot fixes were there.
Curious I opened it in the older photoshop 7 and it was the same, also the same in CS2. Re-opening it in E9 it looks great with all the changes.
Anyone have any idea why these fixes only are there in E9 but in none of the other programs.
This is an older photo but is in color.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Other photos fixed in E9 have shown up just fine in other programs.

Can you please share the image and the editing steps so that i too can try it on my machine.
Few moere questions:
1. If you apply other editing steps on that original image and save, do you observe the same issue?
2. If you apply the same editing steps to other image, do you observe the same issue?
Or, is it just one time, with one specific image?

Live Preview Highlight is not working.

I recently downloaded Edge Code to a new work computer and the Live Preview Highlight is not working.
I have Edge Code installed on a personal computer, and it works great. The version I am using was downloaded about 6 months ago so I am not sure if they changed something with the most recent version. When I highlight a section within the html i.e. a table or row, it would highlight those same sections in the preview. However, this is not the case on my new computer.
Anybody know whats up? Is it setting on Chrome that I need to change or is there some update that I am not aware of.

I guess I assumed that you had Chrome setup to auto-update (like I have it). The only way Live Preview will work in a previous version of Edge Code is with an older version of Chrome.
But there are other reason why Live Preview may not work in latest version of Edge Code. Take a look at Live Preview section of Troubleshooting Guide.

Date not showed when report is viewed in PDF .

Hi,
We have a text field that shows the date on which the report is running.Date is not showed when report is viewed in PDF.But in HTML we can view them . Can any one help me out?
Totally there are four pages for the report.

I have observed the PDF driver iin EPM 11.1.2.x is not up-to-date and technically the Date (Text) is there just like in HTML. However, when you increase the View (Zoom in), it eventually does show up.
I have chatted with Oracle Support, and they will not address it with a patch for now.

Small preview images do not show the changes.
I use Aperture 3 since August 2010. By November and 10 projects later it ran normally.
Since the project 11 are in the preview images shown (on the bottom bar in the shared representation) and in the pictures in the books no adjustments. I change for example a picture in b / w it remains in the small preview images bunt even though the great View Erbild s / w is. Even in the books then the famous picture colorful and even grobpixelig.
This is of course in the processing of multiple images per project huntert pretty annoying to have no overview of processed images ...:-(
I had a third installed for books and not as close a relationship.
Does anyone have similar experience or know someone how can I fix this?

To make sure we understand:

I am not sure what "s/w" is, but I think you mean:
"I change picture to black and white and the small preview images remain *in color* even though the *big picture in the Viewer* is in B/W."
Even in the books then the famous picture colorful and even grobpixelig.
"In the books the selected picture is colorful and even ???"
"Grobpixelig" -> "grosspixelig" -> "Looks like big pixels???" Not quite sure of the translation. It's been 15 years since I spoke Deutsch!

Previews of Thumbs not showing up

Any ideas on why certain image previews of thumbs in the finder won't show? They don't show in any of the views, i.e. icon, list, column or cover flow. My folder settings in the view options are set correctly, but still, I have certain (very few) images that won't show and I would like to correct this for obvious purposes. I am talking about JPEG image files here - .JPG.

I just want to update this post to be a little more specific. In the Finder you have 3 different options to check or uncheck in the Show View Options. You can show icons, show icon preview and show preview column. I usually keep them all checked. The issue I am seeing is that while the previews in question do show in the column view, they do not show in the icon preview view. The ones in question do not show an image, but rather the generic JPEG image. I would like to be able to see the actual image so that I can see all of my images. The issue is seen however in the Icon View of the Finder as well as the Cover Flow view. I do not see my images in those views, but rather the generic JPEG image.
I hope this helps and that you have some idea of what I can do to correct it.

Preview module does not show ajustments

Hi everyone
This is a problem that has arisen very recently.
When carrying out adjustments in the develop module the preview image does not show the changes however the thumb nail in the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen does.
Can anybody help please as it is rendering the programme unusable.

Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between?

I have a PC that is connected to a switch (A) in a network. Switch A has many switches in between and connects to another switch B. When I did a trace to the server, the last switch I see in the result is switch B. Also, when I checked to which port of switch B that the server was connected, It showed as Po1. When I did a show cdp neighbor for the interfaces for the interfaces involved inthe bundle, I get a switch and then another. Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between? Why did I get an arp on Switch B? Could some one explain?

It's hard to tell, but if you have L2 switches, the addresses on those L2 switches are for management purposes only and you won't see a response from a trace. The only time you'll see a response is when the packet is routed between devices and not switched. You'll get an arp request/response across a single vlan. If you have vlan 10 across 10 switches, all 10 switches will see an arp request because they're broadcasted throughout the whole vlan.

In my project I have to play a flv vedio in swf file so in place a FLVPlayback component in one movieclip and when I hv to show I make that movie clip visible and play the vedio from starting.
Its working fine on my computer but FLVPlayback controls (play pause button, seek bar volume controls) are not showing in other people computer on there browser...

Then set "base" attribute to "swf" or "./swf" (relative path - can't remember which ), or absolute path to the "swf" directory.

iOS emoticons are Unicode characters that need a certain set of glyphs to be able to be displayed—think of it as a missing font not displaying correctly. If the device you send them to doesn't have the "font", it can't show it.
That's just the way it is.

Text in landscape orientation is not showing up in portrait view

When I have added additional pages while working in landscape mode and added text to these pages, the text is not showing in portrait view. The only text that shows is the one that comes if I have used the default text box in the 2 column mode. Even using the default textbook I find is not looking good because extra spaces I am putting in for landscape mode aren't needed in the other view. Finally, the headers are also not showing up in portrait view. What to do?
Other difficulties:
1) hyperlinking text is defaulting to the hyperlink character style which is not letting me change the colour from red to blue.
2) jpg images are not being recognized as figures. I would like to be able to bookmark the images, but it is not allowing me. I would also like to have them show in portrait mode, but they are not.

Sorry if I'm being daft, but what do you mean by linking the text fields? I have one text box in landscape view. When I go to portrait, it no longer exists. If I insert a text box in portrait view, it does not appear in landscape.
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I'm hoping you might have some ideas.

Set Reader to NOT be the default pdf viewer

During an msi install how do I set Reader to NOT be the default pdf viewer?

Just to add to this question:
On Mac OS 10.5, using Acrobat 8 Professional, every time Acrobat Pro starts up, I get the question "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.app is not currently configured to be the default application for PDF files. Would you like to make PDF files open with Adobe Acrobat Professional.app instead of Preview.app?"
My answer is "No," but my preference in this matter is not retained. I get the question every single time I launch Acrobat Pro. Where is the button labeled "And don't ask me again!" ?
I have combed through the Preference dialog and not been able to find any setting that seems related to this. To be clear, I am not talking about what happens when I double-click a PDF file in the Finder. I'm talking about what happens when Acrobat 8 Professional is opened directly.

Old All-Day events not showing in Calendar List View

Reviewing events in my Calendar on the iPhone and have noticed that All Day Events that are older than one year do not show in the "List" view
For example, I have all my holidays in a calendar called "Vacation". Month and Day view list holidays from earlier than today (09 Sept 2008) properly, however list view shows nothing. Timed events (e.g. day trips) in the same calendar show.
Similarly no Birthdays appear in the past. I can see a case for Birthdays being omitted in the past, but not other events (e.g. wanting to know exactly when you went to that all day wedding last summer)

I have this same exact problem. For me, past events that have a specific time associated with them show up in List view; however, past events that are all day events only show in List view once in a blue moon only. Apple support has been absolutely clueless about this issue. They just tell me it's weird and they have no explanation. It's unbelievably annoying though.
