Preview images all show same adjustments.

Hi,
I am working with the 30day trial version of Aperture and I was playing around with the color adjustmment on one RAW image and seeing the results in the viewer window. I did not (I think ) save the changes, I then proceeded to import other images. Now all the images when seen in the viewer window show the color changes I made when I was playing around. The browser images are all in the original state
Can anyone tell me what I have done and how I can stop the viewer window changing the colors of the original file automatically?

Hi Bob,
When you worked on the colour settings of the first image, a new version was created, since the system won't touch the original or the so-called master file.
Do you have now colour-corrected versions of all the images (besides the master files)?
If so, then at least you know that something is wrong on image level.
If the colour corrections are applied to the master file, then something is wrong on system level. In this case, I would recommend either to reinstall Aperture, or to rebuild the library (I think you have to press "Apple-Alt" while launching Aperture).

Bridge Preview Images not showing changes made in ACR

Suddenly my raw (Nef) files in Bridge are not reflecting the changes I make to them. In other words after downloading from my CF card, I work on raw files in ACR either one at a time or sometimes applying changes across several pictures. The changed files show up in Bridge briefly and then revert back to the unchanged looking raw. All changes actually exist because if I open the file in ACR or PS they appear just fine. In Bridge however, no changes including cropping, etc. show up. When I open Bridge the files are fine for a moment and then they revert to the uncorrected raws. I can also go to View and hit "refresh" and they will all show the proper changes for an instant and then revert to the original state again.
I've tried resetting preferences, purging and rebuilding cache, deleting temp files, removing and re-doing xmp files, expanding cache size and all the various rendering options in Prefs. Nothing works.
I cannot use the Bridge Light box or Preview function to compare photos because the corrections I made aren't there to be seen. The only way to see them is to open each file one at a time in ACR. This problem has forced my workflow to a crawl as I have to edit one pic at a time without being able to compare two together. Any help would be appreciated.

I had similar problems plus constant crashes that made Bridge unusable.
It drove me to try alternatives to bridge and to try Lightroom. I like
Lightroom better than bridge but it has an operational limit that leads me
to be reluctant switch. But here is the rub, now Bridge is working
perfectly! What I think fixed Bridge is running a disk/registry cleaner
called Ccleaner multiple times. I ran it almost every day for a week. It
found lots of stuff in my registry that it didnt like but as time went by
it found less and less. It also let me turn on or off services that run at
startup. I shut off anything that I could see that I didnt need, like
Adobe downloader; I dont need automatic downloading, as I can do it
myself. The result is at some point Bridge started to work again. It has
stayed working for more than 2 weeks now without one crash. I dont know
what was fixed that did the trick but so far Im happy. Ccleaner is a
free program and can be found at http://www.ccleaner.com/. Its a live
program as there have been several updates since I started using it. Try
it; I think it worked for me.

After Bridge started to work again, I had to purge the cache and rebuild
it. I use cache distributed to folders as I keep my photos on a network
attached drive and access them from 2 computers and a local cache will not
work for me.

.psd preview images not showing in desktop folders

Name, size, kind, etc text shows but no image of the files, in any of my folders that i look through with finder. Jpgs made from the psd's preview fine.. what gives?

As was suggested previously, this is probably yet another incompatibility between Leopard and CS3 (which was written for Tiger).
If you organize and open your files from Bridge, you won't run into this problem.
Or wait for CS4.

Can't get preview images to show up.

My clips are on my timeline and Final Cut knows where these clips are in my Events folder. The audio is still coming through fine, but when I go to playback my video all I see is a black screen.
I'm virtually done with the video and this litterally JUST happened at the end of it. Up until that point I haven't had any problems. Did I press a button or accidently hotkey to force the video not to show up?

First, make sure you didn't accidentally select all and hit "V", which mutes clips.
Open the Timeline Index pane, the Rolls tab, make sure all Roles are enabled.

I keep getting the same preview image for multiple photos

In my iPhoto Library and some of my folders the same preview image is showing for many of my images. When I enlarge or export those images or folders the correct image shows. Any ideas what is messing with the preview?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

You created a mess and there is no solution - with the actions you have taken those photos are gone unless you have access to them from some other source - they existed in two place - in your iPhoto library and on your backup drive - you have traded the backup drive and restore an earlier iPhoto library so all you have is what you have

All tracks have the same preview image after import

Hi,
when importing some videos (h.264) into iMovie'08, all have the same preview image. I would expect them to hava an image from the clip.
How to fix this?

The files are on disk in my pictures folder. I took them with my Sony camera as mpeg2 and converted them with MPEG Streamclip to mpeg4 (h.264).
Just updated to iMovie 7.1, but did not change anything.
The icons are all of the 1st clip. Moving the mouse over them always show the 1st clip and the audio of the first clip in the thumbnail, but in the preview I see the correct clip.

I am unable to get same preview image colors in Bridge and Lightroom

I am unable to get same file preview in Bridge and Lightroom. The Lightroom preview image (in both the Library and Develop) is more de-saturated. But the exported/saved jpegs match. If I try to match the Lightroom preview image to the Bridge preview image, the resulting Lightroom export colors are off. I have tried this with images with no changes and with changes and the result is the same. I have Lightroom 5.6 and CR 8.6. I am using the latest version of Bridge.
I contacted Adobe support and followed all instructions to try to fix but the problem remains. This comment was made after several solutions were tried, including updating Lightroom. :
Adobe: there would be little difference in case of preview of Bridge CC and Lightroom 5. However, after exporting it would be same. Both use different technology at the background and work in a different way. The preview which you see in lightroom is not the actual image but incase of Bridge you see the actual image ( original ). That's the reason there is a color variation between previews.
Me: But how can I then use the Lightroom preview to get accurate colors when processing a RAW file? If I do adjustments to the RAW file in Lightroom it looks different when exported. That doesn't seem to make sense when Lightroom is designed for photograhy
Adobe: Please check in develop module of lightroom.
Me: Nothing changes in the develop mode. The image looks the same as in the preview/Library mode.
This screenshot shows the unmodified images in Develop (Lightroom) and ACR (Bridge). The color differences are significant.

Bridge is just a browser. It displays according to the embedded color profile but assumes sRGB for all untagged images.
In Lightroom library previews use Adobe RGB and in Develop the working space is Pro Photo RGB.
The real question is why use both Bridge and Lightroom. Stick to one, not both.

Some images not showing on ipad when book is previewed

When I preview the book in progress, some images only appear in the thumbnails, not on the full page view. These same images were showing up a few versions ago. Other images are showing up just fine.

Hi KT and Anyone Else Who Could Help,
One thing I noticed is the images that are not showing up are all captioned, but with background shut off. I have a few image galleries as well, but those ARE showing up.
Some images are jpegs, others are pngs, but there is no pattern or correlation between image type and showing up, not showing up.
Besides, they all showed up previously.
So I removed the caption from one image and now it is showing up!
But I am nearly certain that in an earlier version WITH captions, they all showed, and I would like to keep the captions.
Any ideas?

When I try to same an image under the command 'save as' it will only let me save as file types 'firefox document' or 'all files' and when I try to look at them later they dont work. How can I save an image as the same file type it is on the web site?!

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

Preview doesn't show images, while Acrobat does

I have a pdf file that has many images. on Preview, it only shows black outline where the image should be, but the image itself is blank.
but when I open the same document using Acrobat, the image appears.
any idea why this is happening?

THis is a real stab in the dark, but at the top of the "next column" there is a small grey arrowhead next to the word "preview" which, if clicked, will rotate to two different positions. One position shows a preview, the other rotated position does not show the preview.
Try clicking on the arrow.

Firefox 21 is not showing theme preview images

In Firefox 21 for Mac OS, there is no longer any preview image, which is usually a little screenshot of the left end of the toolbar, shown for a theme when you click the "More" link to get more information about the theme. The only image there now is the theme icon. Where did that preview go and why is it gone? The preview images are still in the .jar files in all the themes I have, so they are still available.

Try to delete the addons.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

It is also possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar ("Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.

Why are my icons of aliases does not preview images do not show?

I know that once an alias in OS X has always had a picture ofwhy a request to Apple to not change something that is very good.
Work on the alias is very useful because of disk space and work with only one file in the form of various names, eg forcorrection, etc. .. Apple damage.
