"Preview in Browser" Does Not Work

Hello:
LR 1.2 on Win XP SP2. Default system browser is Firefox. When I click "Preview in Browser" LR builds the temp site, the progress bar runs to completion, and then nothing happens! Only God and Adobe know where it PUTS the damn thing, so I can't navigate there and open it manually, which would be a PITB anyway. Is there some way to make this work? Is there a problem with my boot drive being "G" and not "C"?

I did a search through registry and got maybe about 20 places that have any reference to C:\Program Files\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.2\lightroom.exe" with the usual %1 parameter after that.
There is nothing in the registry, that I can see that would allow you to solve the problem.
Bye the way, I tried the "Preview in Browser" with IE7 and Firefox as default browsers in turn, and with 2 pictures and 50 pictures and it worked fine in both; and on 2 pcs, one at work and just now at home.
I cannot think of any setting in Lightroom that would fix your problem.
And I doubt if the drive is hard-coded into Lightroom. (Would love to find a patch program that would let me search through the code for it!)
So maybe we should ask God first for a solution and if he does not answer, then maybe ask Adobe.

Widget Browser Does Not Work

I have the Adobe CC Suite and Dreamweaver CS5.5 and everything is included, however whenever I'm making a webpage and I'm trying to use the widget browser it does not work. I have tried re-installing Dreamweaver and the wideget browser and it does not work, I am signed into Adobe Exchange and everything. I looked at all the other forums about this and none of thos solutions worked out for me. I also could not find the Widget Browser forum so I posted it here because they are intergrated!

You don't need a widget for this. HTML5 <video> is a web standard supported by all modern browsers/devices. Simply copy & paste the following code into a new, blank document. Change sample videos to your own.

WRT54G2 connects IM clients but browser does not work.

Hi,
I purchased this router last week and it had been working perfectly. All of a sudden today y lost my VPN connection and all that was connected was the msn and skype, nothing else works. None of the computers work either wired or wireless.
When i connect the PC directly to the cable modem works perfectly. When i connect the router back, does not work.... Any ideas??

Does the connection from router work without VPN...?
Does Modem work with VPN or without VPN...?
Make the connection (M-R-Comp) again and power cycle the complete network and check.

I now use Firefox, but not sure which product number. Mozilla has been automatically downloading an update. When it is downloaded, the browser does not work. I keep having to restore the computer, and before long you download again. Help.

I'd like to stop the automatic downloads number one.
I'd also like a possible explanation as to why the new version will not work. I know that Microsoft downloaded a bunch of changes (12) that also seemed to screw up my computer. I have switched off their automatic downloads.

Your System details show you as using version 3.6.12 of Firefox, that is not the latest version, it would be normal practice to update to the latest version, which is why you are being offered the updates. See also [[Software Update Failed]]

My browser does not work

Hi All,
I have a lenovo 3000 N 200 Series laptop and am facing a very peculiar problem. I installed the latest driver set that was available in the lenovo Driver set (17-04-2009) along with some windows updates and now my Internet browser is not working. I tried Firefox too but yielded the same result. However all my chat clients are working..Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger,Skype and Windows Live !
When i re-boot,Vista tries to install some updates and eventually on boot up gives messages like Java Platform is not working and Symantec framework (Norton)is not working.
Can someone please help me atleast find out what the problem might be ----

It sounds like Norton is broken. I would remove it and see if the browsers work. If so you could reinstall it.
If you do not have too much information on the computer yet you could do a full recovery which would completely reinstall everything. This may avoid more problems later if the preloaded windows is somehow corrupted.

Preview in browser is not working in Bridge CS6. There also does not seem to be an option to change browsers.

Without changing anything: Live view looks fine, but "preview in browser" does not

I haven't made any changes to our website in months. When I opened my index page, I did not change anything yet, but did a "preview in browser" and my whole slideshow is missing! It's still fine on the live website, as I haven't uploaded anything. Help.... why is it doing this? I need to add a small icon to our homepage, but I don't want to upload this page if it's not going to work!

And, being embedded in JavaScript, they will not be found to be 'adjusted' by DW, even when using temporary files to preview. I'm afraid you will have to just lump the fact that they are not displaying in preview mode.

File - Export from Preview, iPhoto etc does not work

Lately, normal operations from OSX-programs are not working as expected on my MacBook Air mid-2013 running OSX 10.8.5. I can reproduce in PreView and iPhoto that operations like File, Export and File, Duplicate do not work - there is just no response.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. Preview in Browser - IE not working

Whenever I click on preview in browser - IE, it doesn't work.
I've tried pasting the link into IE, but it gives me the prompt to
open/save/cancel. When I click open, it goes back to DW window.
This is the only browser I am having difficulty with.
I have only had the program loaded since Saturday and it
worked sporadically then, but now, nothing.
I haven't had any IE updates or window updates.

Preview in browser option not working

Hi there,
I'm running dreamweaver cs4 on mac osx 10.4.11. I'm trying to use the 'preview in browser' option without any success.
When I try to preview in Firefox, or any other browser in fact, I get the message 'Unable to launch Firefox.app - Please be
sure that this application exists and that there is enough memory to run it'. I know for sure I have firefox installed as
I use it all the time. I have also set Firefox as the primary browser within Dreamweaver.
Any ideas?

Preview In Browser Suddenly Not Working

I just encountered the problem of no longer being able to preview in brower. The browser (Firefox) opens, then I get a "Not Found" message. I have Firefox as my primary browser and I have "Preview uising temporary file" selected. I'm using CS3. I have recently been trying to learn about dynamic web pages and local testing servers etc., so perhaps I may have inadvertently changed something somewhere to cause this. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Tried to download latest update, system not compatible, now browser does not work even when I tried to download it again. I have bookmarks I'd like back.

I currently have a Mac, version 10.5.8. My Firefox had been running slow so I tried to download the latest version. When it had downloaded, a message popped up saying that this version of Firefox is not compatible with my system. Well, 'no harm no foul' I figured and I tired to go back to my previous browser.
But when I went to click on it, there was a large circle with a line through it. I couldn't open anything. Firefox had effectively been deleted from my computer.
Now it's ok if I can't run Firefox anymore but I had thousands of bookmarks, compiled over years that I would really like back. And I have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The last version of Firefox available for OSX 10.5 was Firefox 16. Firefox versions 17-20 require OSX 10.6, 10.7 or 10.8 as well as an Intel processor (which you have).

Running an old version of your OS is dangerous and makes your system vulnerable to attack by hackers. Visit the Apple site to see about upgrading to a newer major version of OSX.
Using an old version of any internet-facing application on the internet makes your system vulnerable. You should always keep your system completely up to date.

On my previous post I said:
"When upgraded to FF 3.6.6, due to Norton 360 v.4, everything froze.

Now I want to add that, after running FF 3.6.4 for 3 days, i got again the security warning to upgrade to FF 3.6.6, so I did.
Now am running FF 3.6.6, and even with Norton, everything works fine, no bugging, freezing, refreshing, blank pages...
I can't figure out why the problem still persist for other users. Now maybe it is not due to Norton any more?

Bridge browser does not work to browse intranet sites

I can browser our company intranet sites with my blackberry phone but unable to browse the same sites via the blackberry bridge on my playbook.. Can surf other external sites but unable to surf our intranet sites via the bridge browser.
Am I missing a setting? Or is this feature not supported yet?

According to KB26548, it should be able to connect to the intranet sites via the bridge browser. If it's not, I would suggest checking with your IT department to see if they have any suggestions.

I've followed instructions, but tabbed browsing does not work.

Sometimes a new tab will be established, not consistently.

The Ask toolbar is known to create problems with opening tab. Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons
