Preview in browser stops loading

I was previewing my CS4 design using firefox, but all of a sudden when I press F12 no preview loads. Can someone help me out?
Thanks

Check to make sure you still have your F-lock on. If you have inadvertently clicked the F-lock button, none of your Function keys will work as function keys, they will switch over to doing whatever other tasks they have been assigned (Mine say "Help," "Undo," "Redo," etc. etc.).
If that doesn't help, check your path to the FireFox program Edit > Preview in Browser will get you the dialog box. Click on Firefox in the list and re-assign the F12 key to it. You could also click Firefox and then click the Edit button to see where it is opening (or not...) Firefox from.
You should be able to invoke "Preview in Browser" even when you are in Live View. But I notice that Firefox takes a lot longer to load than Chrome or Internet Explorer.

  • Preview in browser stopped working

Running CS4 version 10 build 4117 and today when I went to do some work I cannot use "preview in browser"
Edit List has both firefox and IE listed but when I click the globe it tells me no browsers selected.
tried removing browsers and re-selecting them but still no browsers listed
Very annoying ..   I have seen some threads about previous versions having this problem, and I have also seen the firefox 3.6 threads but none of those are the answer to this.

    More info.
With a fresh session, Firefox seems to work okay. Once trying
to preview with IE 7 then DW stops responding. Restarting DW, then
    Firefox no longer works also.

  • If I would like to have all opened tabs in my browser stop loading a webpage is their a shortcut key that will allow this?

If I open too many Bookmarked pages into tabs my browser will hang and then sometimes crash or close unexpectedly.
If I bring up task manager or use the Alt + Tab I can navigate to the window and right-click and choose restore to allow me to see the window again. This needs to be done if I load more than 10 pages at once. Is there a way to choose to prevent loading of all opened tabs and then choose which tabs I'm currently working with to load the webpage? I would like to know how to use a shortcut key on my keyboard to select all tabs as ctrl + A does not work and then escape or another key tells to stop all pages from loading in each tab as with all the ads, gifs, videos, and internet spam keeps growing it is too much of a strain to have multiple webpages opened in tabs on the browser.
I use Win XP SP2 and I am eagerly waiting a solution as it has been an issue with even previous versions of Firefox however IE could only have about 3 tabs opened and then would crash that is why I stick with Firefox as my browser of choice.

  • Dreamweaver 'Preview In Browser' Stops Working

This is DW CS6 on Windows 7.
I have several browsers set up for preview. I use the option "Preview using temporary file".
For no reason that I can figure out the preview will stop working. i.e. I hit F12 and nothing at all happens. My impression is that it will be trigered by the content of certain pages - jQuery served by CDN? or something like that? Once it starts NO pages work. If i restart Dreamweaver some pages will be OK, but then the problem will re-appear.

Thanks. I tried trashing the cache and even deleting the entire configuration folder. No joy.
But now I think I have the solution after a lot of time debugging (thanks Adobe).
    1) The problem is caused by a specific HTML file. (Though I have had different ones cause this in the past months. Presumably they have something in common).
    2) If I start DW, preview is fine. Once I try the problem file however, NO files can be previewed until I restart DW
    3) With the problem file, no 'tmp' file gets created
    4) I have CSE HTML validator. If I open the problem file in that, I can preview the page in my browser. So it's not as if the page kills the browser.
So what is it in the problem file that causes the problem?
Well the file is a Wordpress file with a "Thesis" theme, and one of the external CSS files has a long comment:
    File:            custom.css
    Description:    Custom styles for Thesis
    BASIC USAGE:
If you have enabled the custom stylesheet in the Thesis options panel, the <body> tag
will be appended with the "custom" class, like so: <body class="custom">. You can use
the "custom" class to override *any* CSS declarations contained in the style.css file.
For example, if you wish to change the default link color to green, you would add the
    following declarations to this file:
        .custom a, .custom a:visited { color: #090; }    <--- This makes links green
.custom a:hover { color: #00f; }    <--- This makes links blue when you mouse over them
    WHY THIS WORKS:
By using the "custom" class, you are creating more specific CSS declarations for HTML
elements. CSS styling is applied through rules of specificity, and because declarations
prepended with .custom are more specific, they get applied when the page is rendered!
More information about styling your Thesis installation using this file can be found
    in the User's Guide:
        http://diythemes.com/thesis/rtfm/customizing-thesis-with-customcss/
If I remove that comment, DW does not screw up.
Adobe - is anyone there? This is a bug. Can it be fixed?

  • Preview in Browser - IE6 - not loading

Has anyone had problems getting DW8 Previewing in IE6.
I have for sometime just lived with the problem - opening IE6
    outside
of DW8 - but it's much easier just to click the Preview in
    Browser
    button.
I have set up the browsers in Edit Browser List - but IE just
    refuses
    to start.
I have Firefox & Opera working normally using this method
    - it's just
    IE6 not being started up.
One other clue - if the Preview in temporary file is enabled
    - IE
loads. If Preview in temporary file is NOT enabled - IE does
    not
    load.
I like to use no temporay file at times - so the problem is a
    real
    pain at times.

  • "Preview Page in Browser" stopped working...

    Hi guys,
First off, looking forward to seeing what's unveiled at Create Now Live on December, 11th!
Anyway, here's the Muse bug that just cropped up yesterday as I was working on a niche one-pager site: when I tried "Preview Page in Browser," nothing happened.
Usually when I'm working in Muse, I already have Firefox open on my screen, and when I hit "Preview Page in Browser," it'll open a new tab with the preview. This time, nada, no new tab, no preview.
Have no idea if my system settings or anything else has changed since the last time I designed a mini-site in Muse, a few weeks ago, when "Preview in Browser" was working fine. I'm on an (aging) PC laptop, running Windows XP.
Any ideas what's going on? Thanks again!
    D

    Hello,
Could you please check if the issue is specific to one website on your computer.
You can try creating a new test website and check if you are able to preview it in a browser or not.
If it does not work, please try deleting the AdobeMuse folder from the location :
    Windows 7: C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application Data
    Mac: /Users/your_user_name/Library/Preferences/
After that please relaunch Adobe Muse and check if you get the preview in Browser feature to work or not.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sachin

  • Fill graphic cut off when loaded in Preview in browser

I have been searching all day and watching videos and not coming up with any answers.  For my fill I'm using a graphic of a mountain but when I go to "Preview in Browser" it is cut off.  I have optimized it and tried everything.  I am rather new to Muse so I imagine it's probably something simple.  Anyone have any answers?

    Hi
Can you be a little more specific regarding which fill graphic is being cut-off. I mean is it a page fill , or a rectangular box fill, or a browser fill etc.  And it would be great if you could upload a screenshot.
    Thanks,
    Rohit Nair

  • Pages are slow to load or stop loading

Once I'm connected to wi-fi, my pages are slow to load or stop loading and tell me 'I'm not connected".

If you are having the problem on more than one computer it would appear not to be a computer fault or your browser that is the problem.
The first thing I would do is a factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds. This can often sort out problems and will also give you a "clean sheet" to start some diagnostics from.
If this doesn't help please post what Infinity package you are on, I assume with 18Mbps it's Infinity 1 but please confirm, and do you have an Openreach modem and what homehub you have.
Also run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results
    http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
and use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.

  • Embeded Flash files stop loading part way through after update to 10.2

Hello, I am currently having an issue with Flash. After the last update to 10.2, flash files, both audio and video, stop loading part way through them and do not start up again. For instance, on youtube, about 2 minutes worth of video will load but load slowly and then stop completely. The only way to get it to advance is to click past the section that has loaded and it will load the next 2 minutes. On Myspace Music, a song plays about 40 seconds each time and stops completely and will not load anymore, even if I try to skip to another part of the song. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit edition with Firefox 4.0 Beta 12 64 bit edition as well. Also I have tried clearing my cache, cookings, temp files, removing and installing Flash countless times, including older versions, as well as tried Google Chrome and IE. All give me the exact same issue no matter what I do. It is really frustrating because I cannot watch or listen to anything embeded in Flash online without having to keep clicking the next section every little bit. If anyone can help, please do and I thank you.

Hi, Since your OS is a 64bit, are you using the 32bit browser for IE? I see you have the FF beta. Have they come out with a 64bit browser? I don't follow the FF beta so if that's true, it's news to me.
    Let me know,
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • Preview in browser not funtioning

Nothing is happening the preview in browser/debug button on the document tool bar pressed. I have several browser options loaded, the only one working is the ABL (Adobe BrowserLab) tool. Has anyone else experienced this before?
    Thank you!

Which browsers have you assigned for the preview function?

  • Preview in browser, IE problem

When I do a preview in browser in dw (CS4) to IE 7 on XP, it 'locks up' trying to down load a .png.  it never completely loads.  this happens on several pages, including ones that I have not changed.  I don't have this problem in Safari, the pages preview in browser with no problems.
Then, when I simply try to open a new window in IE, it locks up on 'downloading picture tool bar x_icon_small.png'.
the .png is the only common thread i can find.  one of the .png's is a photo at 20k, so they are not large.
i close IE, then i don't have the problem when i reopen it.  i can open a new window in IE without any problems...... until.... i again try to preview from dw.
i looked on both Adobe and Microsoft forums but have not been able to find a similar problem.
it's bound to be a setting or switch some place, but the only thing that has changed since this started happening is that we had an old antenna removed from our building that supported our old ISP, we've been on the new ISP for about three weeks and i had not encountered the problem.  i haven't installed or removed any software, i have allowed mcafee and adobe acrobat updates, but that's all i can think of.
any suggestions on what to try next?
    donna

The problem I'm having is in the 'file/preview in browser' option, not with the page in production (as this old COBOL programmer would say).  I have loaded my changes, which was just changing some text on a single page and the page works perfectly, site info is below.  I just wanted to see the page before I loaded it to see how the spacing looked on the screen.
I doubt, like you said, that it is an image problem, but I wanted to make you aware of what other steps I had tried to resolve the issue myself.  Given the way it's happening, it's as though I have accidently reset an option on how to preview the page, but don't know what I did to cause my problem.
It's when I want to just preview it that I'm encountering the problem.  I'm also encountering the problem when I try to 'preview in browser' a page that I have not changed.  And it works perfectly in Safari, which I'm using as my secondary browser.
The site is not elegant, I am just learning, but for your reference the site is:  http://www.electpaulpfeil.com/election.html.  All I did was add the 'Mobile Absentee Voting' locations and dates.
    Thanks!

  • Preview in Browser malfunction

In DW3, not having selected a testing server, when I select 'Preview in Browser', each browser attempts to go online to a testing server.
There is no testing server selected in the site definition. It used to work perfectly until it just stopped working. I tried trashing the preferences for DW9, and that did not help.
    I'm flummoxed. Any ideas?

I should add that this is a plain vanilla HTML site, so I wouldn't think that any scripting language issues would be present.

  • Preview in browser - Firefox / File not found

    Specs:
    OS X 10.4.7
    Dreamweaver 8.0.2
    Firefox 1.5.0.1
I (and my whole office) am having a major problem. We all
work directly from files on our osx server. When working in
Dreamweaver and trying to "Preview in browser" with Firefox 1.5 we
get a "File not found" error. The problem seems to be stemming from
the path lacking the "Volumes" part of the directory.
    For example:
When I preview in Safari the path is shown as:
    file:///Volumes/Server_HD/Website_Folder/index.html (this
    works)
But on Firefox or Mozilla I get:
    file:///Server_HD/Website_Folder/index.html (this does not
    work)
This problem did not occur in previous versions of Firefox.
Due do this problem, I have virtually eliminated Firefox as part of
my workflow in favor of Safari. I would love to return to Firefox
    can anybody please help me!?

Can you try again please, although not in a narrative? Just
    go to the
ADVANCED tab on the Site Definition panel, and list the
    contents of the
fields you see for Local, Remote, and Testing Categories (no
    need for the
    login info).

  • Preview in Browser - IE not working

Whenever I click on preview in browser - IE, it doesn't work.
I've tried pasting the link into IE, but it gives me the prompt to
