If your slicing is uneven, the table is exploding and you'll
need to use
spacers or nested tables.
Choose File > HTML setup. Click on the Table tab. For
Space with, choose
1 pixel transparent spacers, or nested tables.

  • Preview in browser not showing changes in muse

    I am trying to preview my changes in Muse but it's not showing any updates.  I've doubled checked updates and shut down my laptop to reboot but still not working.

    Hi there,
    Could you tell me which version are you using, is it Muse CC or Muse CC 2014?
    Also tell the Operating system that you have?
    Have you checked both Preview in Muse and preview in browser? Try with clearing the browser cache.
    Also, when you preview in browser, could you copy the address it shows in the address bar and paste it in the address bar of any other browser like Firefox or Chrome, see if it shows changes there?
    Thanks.

  • Table layouts change in browsers.

    Hi All DW8 users,
    I have this problem which I can't locate an answer for
    although I am sure there is one in the data base already.
    I created a template for a site and while testing the layout
    I noticed that all the different browser display the content in a
    completely different way. I there any way to keep thing even partly
    consistent as it look nothing like it does when I actually design
    the page.?
    Thanks guys,
    Lloyd Codrington

    Could you post the URL - or code? Difficult otherwise.

  • Preview in Browser IE 7 - Table breaking

    Working on an XHTML document in DwCS3, one which contains a
    table. I am not permitted to alter the internal structure (we have
    to use the table for our purposes). Everything looks good in the
    code, take a look in IE7 preview in browser, seems fine. We take a
    look in Firefox, fine. We take a look back in IE7 again ...
    suddenly broken. Nothing changed in the code. Nothing added or
    altered anywhere on the server.
    Now the tables have space all around each row, breaking apart
    the image. No space is added to left or right, just top or bottom.
    Code verifies just fine. It still works in Firefox. Is there a fix
    for this? Is this a DwCS3 problem, or an IE7 problem? I think IE7
    because after restart opening the HTML file directly in IE7 still
    shows breakage, Firefox still shows fine.
    I've restarted. Trashed the cache. Tried to open the page on
    another computer in IE7. I can't surf to the page from a Mac to
    check because I can't put it live until it gets approval.
    Thoughts? Does this sound at all familiar, or have I found a
    bug of my own? (They should name them after the first folks to
    report them, like diseases.)

    Can you put the site on a temp server/url until it gets the
    final OK?
    Without seeing the code, you won't get too many answers.

  • Preview in browser change html code

    Hi!
    Often when I sketch web sites in Fireworks I preview the page
    as an image in my browsers, just to get a feeling of the page in
    its real environement, so to speak. Often my web sites are aligned
    to the center but Fireworks just put the image to the left and
    don´t remove the standard body margins.
    Is there a way for me to change the html code used in the
    preview in browser command?

    why not make a standard page (in dw) with zero margins and
    padding, and
    single div centred with one image and then place the native
    fireworks
    png in there, save and preview that page from DW and then
    when you work
    on your fw image just save it and press refresh in your
    browser window.
    when you do a new project simply swap the new fw png for the
    old fw png ;)

  • Preview in browser is not working in Bridge CS6. There also does not seem to be an option to change browsers.

    I am trying to create a web gallery in CS6. I have done this before in Photoshop with CS3, but now that it has changed to bridge it doesn't seem to work for me. There is no preview option within Bridge which is a bit frustrating, but I at least have the "preview in browser" options. Except, when I hit "preview in browser", my browser opens but it just opens to the current window open - I am not getting a preview at all. The only way I can seem to preview is to save the file, then open it in the browser - but this way I cannot play with the various settings and I am finding it very frustrating.
    There should be a way in Bridge to change the default browser. Perhaps my browser settings are not allowing it to open, however, I cannot find an option to switch it open in another browser... also very frustrating.
    This extremely simple web gallery creator, which I have used easily in CS3, seems to be less user friendly in Bridge.
    Any ideas on how to change browsers or fix the browser I am currently using to use the "preview in browser" button?

  • ALV - Reflect layout change into internal table

    I have an ALV :
    CALL METHOD grid1->set_table_for_first_display
                EXPORTING I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'Z_ALV_STRUCTURE_01'
                          IS_VARIANT = GS_VARIANT
                          I_SAVE = X_SAVE
                CHANGING IT_OUTTAB = itab
                         IT_FIELDCATALOG = gt_fieldcat_lvc1[].
    This internal table itab has for example the fields: matnr, plant, stock, vendor
    If for example the user changes the sequence of the columns in the ALV grid display into: stock, plant, vendor, matnr
    Is there an easy way to get the layout change reflected in my internal table or is the only possibility to built dynamically a new internal table based on the front end field catalog?
    Kind regards
    Frank

    Hi
    Can't u use the std icone to create an excel file?
    Anyway in this case you should use the method get_frontend_fieldcatalog in order to get the status of the catalog and so fill the table for the excel in the right way.
    I believe the problem should be on how to create the table for the excel, i.e. you need to consider the sequence of the fields in ordert to create the table for the excel.

  • Changes to the design, html, css won't show up immediately in preview in browser

    No matter what I am working on, the browser displays the design correctly only after the first viewing. From there on if I make any changes to html or css, save it and try to preview it again it just shows the design from the previous time. Sometimes if I wait a little bit and try to preview it again it shows up correctly, but the wait time varies. The same thing happens if I actually go to the folder and open up Index.html. But if I preview it in adobe browser lab it always shows up right. It is getting really annoying because I can't easily preview the changes that I make to see if they are working.

    Sounds like a caching issue. You are saving the file and then using Preview In Browser and not just making a change to the DW file without saving and trying to refresh the browser, right?
    In FireFox, hti Ctrl + Shift + R
    In IE9, Hit F12, then Ctrl + R, then "Yes"
    To clear your browser cache.

  • Muse CC 2014 - Does not update properly changes on websites in preview and browser preview

    Hi, I am working in a project on Muse CC 2014 and everything in the designer view works pretty well, but when I make change to colors, fonts, menus, etc and click preview, I cant see my changes, instead I saw old version of my project, the same happens on the browser preview, I need help cause I have to get this done today. Thank you.

    We purchased CC for teams and upgraded all workers to InDesign CC 2014.2 in March. Because I installed using a package - rather than individually - quite a few plug-ins were not working. This week, I uninstalled InDesign CC 2014.2 on everyone's machine and individually installed InDesign, from the Creative Cloud menu. However, instead of installing the expected InDesign CC 2014.2, it installed InDesign CC 2014. As stated above, "It doesn't even show up that the updates are available, it simply says "up to date"". Obviously this is not true - since we just had 2014.2 last week.
    Can someone please let me know why the new install would have regressed to a previous version - and how I might be able to get the current version back?

  • Without changing anything: Live view looks fine, but "preview in browser" does not

    I haven't made any changes to our website in months. When I opened my index page, I did not change anything yet, but did a "preview in browser" and my whole slideshow is missing! It's still fine on the live website, as I haven't uploaded anything. Help.... why is it doing this? I need to add a small icon to our homepage, but I don't want to upload this page if it's not going to work!

  • [JHS 10.1.2]  Table layout not warning for losing changes

    I have a table layout in which I can change data.
    When I change data but don't commit (or in case of end-users forget) and navigate to the next 10 records in the table I get no warning that I will loose my changes.
    I guess this is fixed in production version? Could you please confirm this.
    Regards,
    Marcel

    Marcel,
    The JHeadstart 10.1.2 release notes of the latest 10.1.2 build mention a JDeveloper bug 4509014. Can you check if this explains your problem?
    Does your page include file upload? If not, then you can avoid this bug by setting formSubmitted=true on the table. The latest build of JHeadstart 10.1.2 already generates this correctly.

  • Preview in Browser and Adobe Browser Lab show website differently? Please help

    Hi...working on my first website and I have a question about the differences in viewing the site through
    choosing file...preview in browser....
    from within Dreamweaver, and using the Adobe Browser Lab to view the website.
    There seems to be a very significant difference between the two. When I preview firefox from within dreamweaver, my site is just how I want it.
    When I go to browser lab, it is...well... a disaster.
    I'm attaching screenshots of the two as well as my code, so it can show how different they are. Here is a screenshot of the website as it looks when I use the preview in browser function from within dreamweaver to view it in firefox. This is how I'd like it to look.
    And here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I preview it in Adobe Browser Lab in Firefox.
    The quote is underneath the logo, the left div text is flowing over the center div, the nav bar graphics are too narrow, the photo is hanging outside the div it should be contained in. Not what I want.
    Does anyone have any insight into how I would fix this or which version is correct?
    I'm stumped. This is my first website: shouldn't these two things be similar? And which one is correct?
    and here is my code:

    /* ~~ These are the columns for the layout. ~~
    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
    2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a div set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the div's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
    3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar divs could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
    4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all right instead of all left) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the divs around in the HTML source.

    Thanks for your help.

    You are using % widths for your layout which means it will look different depending of the size of each users monitor. Although this is probably the better way to go these days, it is not one size fits all and will work more effectively if you include min and max widths, and also media queries that change your layout depending on the monitor size. This is more advanced coding and will take time if you want to do that. Alternatively, you could design using pixel widths and have it look consistent across all desktop browsers and throw a few media queries in for the mobile side.

  • Apex 4.2.1: Region table layout and pagination

    See https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=57688:2
    Theme 24, table-based layout. Page template = One Level Tabs, Left Sidebar.
    All 4 regions are report regions using the report region and 2-column portlet as the region and report templates respectively.
    Regions 1.1 and 1.2 are supposed to be in the same row in different columns so 1.1 has New Grid=Yes and 1.2 has New Column=Yes. Ditto for 2.1 and 2.2
    1. Trial and error shows that simply changing the Pagination of report region 1.1 from None to Bottom-Right causes the layout to shift such that 1.2 moves to a grid row by itself! What is going on here? Surely a "trivial" change like whether pagination is displayed or not shouldn't cause such a major layout change. Am I missing something?
    2. Regions 2.1 and 2.2 stick together. How can we add some breathing room between them?
    3. If the page template is changed to One Level Tabs, No Sidebar, the behaviour changes. All the regions are rendered in 1 column, ignoring the New Column grid layout setting. Why is this?
    4. In general, with all the layout changes in 4.x, I was under the impression that, when using a HTML Table based page template, simply using the New Grid/New Row/New Column, etc attributes on the Region attributes would be sufficient to build pages with intuitive, declarative layouts with arbitrary "boxes" laid out on the page, regardless of the content/region type. But that doesn't appear to be the case.
    Can some CSS expert (here's looking at you, Paul) please share some insights on how all this works?
    Thanks

    Regions 1.1 and 1.2 are supposed to be in the same row in different columns so 1.1 has New Grid=Yes and 1.2 has New Column=Yes. Ditto for 2.1 and 2.2With table-based region layout I'm getting a Column number selector rather than a New Column switch.
No abstruse CSS here, just Pagination Sub-template and table-less layouts coming home to roost.
    Unlike the majority of report templates, the 2-column portlet report template doesn't have an outer HTML <tt>table</tt> to act as a container for the engine-generated pagination <tt>tr</tt>. The pagination row is thus treated by the browser as starting a new row in the current open table&mdash;the region layout. Having the pagination <tt>tr</tt> injected into the 2-column portlet source turns it into tag soup. The whole thing spectacularly fails HTML validation.
    I expect the official Oracle line is that 2-column portlet reports are not supposed to use pagination.
    2. Regions 2.1 and 2.2 stick together. How can we add some breathing room between them?Add this rule to the page Inline CSS. This will add some space on the left of all region cells except the first in the row.
    .regionlayout td+td {
      padding-left: 10px;
    3. If the page template is changed to One Level Tabs, No Sidebar, the behaviour changes. All the regions are rendered in 1 column, ignoring the New Column grid layout setting. Why is this?If this is the layout shown in your link above then I'm not reproducing it. Can you upload an export of your app and provide a link to it?

  • Preview in Browser shows site fine....but uploaded....

    Hi all,
    I'm coming accross a strange problem.
    I've taken over the creation of a website, things were going well.
    Yet this evening, for some unknown reason, the site has started to display differently when uploaded.
    Everything looks fine in Dreamweaver.  Everything looks fine in a browser, using the Preview in Browser feature.
    But when its uploaded, the menu bar on the left has all the contents out of line.
    http://www.emersonlakepalmer.com/www/index.html
    The design is meant to be centralised, directly underneath the logo.  Yet for some reason, there's an additional (unwanted) centimetre of blue on the right, and the text is alligned right too.  This isn't my doing, and doesn't appear like that in Dreamweaver/Preview in Browser.  (I'm using the IE8 both times)
    No amount of fiddling can fix it, its spoils the look of the site.
    Can anyone explain step-by-step how to fix it ?  I'm confined to WYSYWYG mostly, code isn't my strong point.
    Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Honestly, your code is a real mess.  The fact that you lost your original was probably a godsend.
    You might want to look at an alterntive layout before you invest much more time on the one you have.
    Copy and paste this into a new, blank HTML page.  Tested and works in IE6,7,8, Chrome, FF and Opera. NOTE: I changed images to absolute URLs so I could work with it.  You can change them back site relative.

  • Preview in browser shows html code

    Can't get DW to display my design, I go to "preview in
    browser" and it goes to the browser and shows the html code
    instead. Can someone help me fix that?

    body {
    font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    background: #666666;
    margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and
    padding of the body element to account for differing browser
    defaults */
    padding: 0;
    text-align: center; /* this centers the container in IE 5*
    browsers. The text is then set to the left aligned default in the
    #container selector */
    color: #000000;
    /* Tips for Elastic layouts
    1. Since the elastic layouts overall sizing is based on the
    user's default fonts size, they are more unpredictable. Used
    correctly, they are also more accessible for those that need larger
    fonts size since the line length remains proportionate.
    2. Sizing of divs in this layout are based on the 100% font
    size in the body element. If you decrease the text size overall by
    using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container,
    remember that the entire layout will downsize proportionately. You
    may want to increase the widths of the various divs to compensate
    for this.
    3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div
    instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font
    size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will
    proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want
    to adjust based on your final font sizing.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #container {
    width: 46em; /* this width will create a container that will
    fit in an 800px browser window if text is left at browser default
    font sizes */
    background: #FFFFFF;
    margin: 0 auto; /* the auto margins (in conjunction with a
    width) center the page */
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center
    on the body element. */
    .twoColElsLtHdr #header {
    background: #DDDDDD;
    padding: 0 10px; /* this padding matches the left alignment
    of the elements in the divs that appear beneath it. If an image is
    used in the #header instead of text, you may want to remove the
    padding. */
    .twoColElsLtHdr #header h1 {
    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margin of the last element in the
    #header div will avoid margin collapse - an unexplainable space
    between divs. If the div has a border around it, this is not
    necessary as that also avoids the margin collapse */
    padding: 10px 0; /* using padding instead of margin will
    allow you to keep the element away from the edges of the div */
    /* Tips for sidebar1:
    1. Be aware that if you set a font-size value on this div,
    the overall width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
    2. Since we are working in ems, it's best not to use padding
    on the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for standards
    compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
    3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within
    it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those
    elements as seen in the ".twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 {
    float: left;
    width: 12em; /* since this element is floated, a width must
    be given */
    background: #EBEBEB; /* the background color will be
    displayed for the length of the content in the column, but no
    further */
    padding: 15px 0; /* top and bottom padding create visual
    space within this div */
    .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 h3, .twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 p {
    margin-left: 10px; /* the left and right margin should be
    given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
    margin-right: 10px;
    /* Tips for mainContent:
    1. If you give this #mainContent div a font-size value
    different than the #sidebar1 div, the margins of the #mainContent
    div will be based on its font-size and the width of the #sidebar1
    div will be based on its font-size. You may wish to adjust the
    values of these divs.
    2. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created
    with the left margin on the mainContent div. No matter how much
    content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain.
    You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's
    text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1
    ends.
    3. To avoid float drop, you may need to test to determine the
    approximate maximum image/element size since this layout is based
    on the user's font sizing combined with the values you set.
    However, if the user has their browser font size set lower than
    normal, less space will be available in the #mainContent div than
    you may see on testing.
    4. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the
    zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This
    avoids several IE-specific bugs that may occur.
    .twoColElsLtHdr #mainContent {
    margin: 0 1.5em 0 13em; /* the right margin can be given in
    ems or pixels. It creates the space down the right side of the
    page. */
    .twoColElsLtHdr #footer {
    padding: 0 10px; /* this padding matches the left alignment
    of the elements in the divs that appear above it. */
    background:#DDDDDD;
    .twoColElsLtHdr #footer p {
    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margins of the first element in
    the footer will avoid the possibility of margin collapse - a space
    between divs */
    padding: 10px 0; /* padding on this element will create
    space, just as the the margin would have, without the margin
    collapse issue */
    /* Miscellaneous classes for reuse */
    .fltrt { /* this class can be used to float an element right
    in your page. The floated element must precede the element it
    should be next to on the page. */
    float: right;
    margin-left: 8px;
    .fltlft { /* this class can be used to float an element left
    in your page */
    float: left;
    margin-right: 8px;
    .clearfloat { /* this class should be placed on a div or
    break element and should be the final element before the close of a
    container that should fully contain a float */
