  • Print Preview is different with actual Print

When I try to print a PO, the Print Preview is correct, but the actual Print is not as same as the Preview, because the Item Description row is truncated. The strange thing is that it was not truncated in the Print Preview.
    Any body has an idea?

    Hi Victor,
There are settings in the Document Properties for each layout in PLD that can have an affect on how the layout is displayed in print preview.
    1) Open your layout in PLD
    2) Right-click on the layout and choose Display Document Properties
    3) In the Document Properties window, choose the Format tab
The Preview Printing section changes settings when you preview the layout rather than sending directly to the printer. Try turning that option off for the document or changing the Change Size setting.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • ACR 5.6 preview covers more than actually opens

With the S90 the ACR 5.6 preview covers more image than actually opens in Camera Raw. It does however now match the JPG image when shooting both. It would be nice to have the extra available as an option without having to through the DNG tricks.
With the S90 the Adobe Standard  Camera Profile seems to process the image considerably lighter than the JPG or the other camera profiles. I don't see this with the 5D Mk-II.

Does this just apply to process version 2010 or does it also apply to process version 2003?
If it applies to both, and assuming it also will apply to Lightroom 3 (which I plan to upgrade to), I will need to keep an earlier version of LR if I wish to print photographs processed earlier without any changes.
This is not a problem but it is good to know the answer before upgrading.

PS Compliments to the CR/LR team as the noise reduction and sharpness improvements in LR3b2 are great, but sometimes one doesn't wish to spend additional time if reprinting old files.

  • Preview is different than final compile? HELP PLEASE

This is a simple test animation, but 2 things go wrong when I compile it
1: the clouds in the compiled version move at different speeds than when I hit "play" in the workstation
2: one of the clouds dissapears (the bottom one), and then reappears randomly, something that it doesn't do in the workstation
Ive tried it in different layers, with different types of objects, and even capturing it frame-by-frame, but it always messes up when i export it!
Heres the .fla and the .swf files, if someone could look and see if i'm overlooking something and give me feedbac

    Hi,
It looks like you have accidently added the same motion tween twice at different levels of nesting within the same symbol. Also within nesting, you're using Movieclip instance somewhere and Graphic instance at other places.
This answers both of your queries:
    1. Speed is different because the resultant speed is the addition of two motions along the same path. (When previewing within application, animations within a movieclip are not shown but within Graphics are shown.)
    2. The disappearance happens due to the same eason. The start and end point of a grapic animation is dependent on the parent timeline and remains the same during looping. Movieclip animations on the other hand, always play completely and may spill over multiple loops. So basically the start point of the animation is getting shifted with every loop.
You can remove one of the tweens from the nested symbol to fix this.

  • Jpeg looks different than actual Image in Photoshop (saving Issues)

My image in photoshop has thin lines, but when I save it, the jpeg shows the image with very thick dark lines, looking not like the image in photoshop. Why does it do this? How can I stop PS from doing this to my image? I want the image to look as it does in Photoshop when I save it as a Jpeg.
    This is in Photoshop CS4
As it should be (using the snipping tool (I can't use the snipping tool as my only option, because it will only capture the size as it is on the screen, not the actual dimensions in Photoshop)
Saved as a Jpeg; the lines are thicker, and now there is little variation in line weight
Does anyone have a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just one comment...  Your lines in your screen grab are NOT thinner, they are simply a good bit lighter.
You should try to use the proper terminology, because you will end up realizing, when C.Pfaffenbichler helps you get to the bottom of your problem, that you likely are experiencing a gamma/color-management issue causing your pixels to be displayed far more lightly in one case than another.
Besides your color settings in Photoshop, it will also be helpful to know what color profile is associated with your monitor at the operating system level.
    -Noel
P.S., I don't know what result you're going for, but the JPEG with the darker lines looks a lot better on a calibrated display.  The screen grab seems too light.

  • Display Prompt Different than actual parameter

I would like to present the user a different display prompt value. For example:
Query: Select dept_name, dept_id from departments
I want my prompt list to display Dept_name but when the user selects the dept_name XMLP should pass the dept_id to the next query.
    Thanks

The LOV based on queries is wired to expect either:
1 value, presented to user and passed or
2 values, first always presented and second passed
You can not pass more than one value to the query.
You could get around this by having a hidden parameter that takes a value from the first LOV as an input and passes a value to the query.

  • PDF document looks different than when printed

With Acrobat Reader 9, we've noticed that when we print the documents, their is some sort of margin in the printed report, but when we view it on screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9, there is no margin.
Is there some setting in Adobe Acrobat Reader that could be causing this?
    -Scott

Change the document so that it prints without scaling.

  • Format text (Preview is different than Design)

On my WIP site I cannot get the text in one box center aligned. It looks fine in Design but not in Preview or online. Have tried everything I can think of.
Please look at brownelllibrary.businesscatalyst.com on the page "About Us" under Limits and Loan periods and lt me know how to solve this problem.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
When you edit the text of the text box you can press 'Ctrl+A' on windows or 'Command+A' on MAC to select all the text. That way you can determine the empty spaces. I'm afraid that in Muse you can't get the spaces to display like the way it does in Word.
    Check this screen shot,
I have pointed out the spaces in the text editor.

  • PDF font viewed Evince different than actual PDF font?

The title says it all. I'm getting a very strange girly font (no offense, but the i's are dotted with hearts) being rendered for all the text on the PDF. Some PDFs that I view in Evince retain their original font. I have no idea why this is happening, and neither do I have this font on my computer. I am so definitely sure about that. Does anyone have ideas?
I'm using Gnome3 if that matters any.
    Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a different pdf viewer?  Gimp or inkscape can view pdf files or pages.  Epdfview is a lightweight, less feature-full alternative to Evince.
It might help to identify the font.  You probably have the poppler package installed.  If so, you can use 'pdffonts' to list the fonts used in the problem file.  The mupdf package includes 'pdfinfo-mupdf' that can also be used to list the fonts used in a pdf-file.

  • Please Help...Album Artwork Iz Different Than Actual Artist???

***??? For Example, On My iPod The Song Will Be "Walk It Out", But The Album Artwork Will Show "Green Day's" Album Artwork??? iTunes Shows The Correct Album Artwork, How Do I Fix This??? The Problem Started Immediately After I Installed The New Version of iTunes, Which Absolutely ***...Causing Me To Drink Heavily;~) After Countless Hours Invested, I Finally Figured Out How To Play Videos. I'd Appreciate Any Advice And Thank You In Advance!!!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
This happened to me when I first installed iTunes 7 also, and the fix is pretty easy. Open iTunes and connect your iPod, under the music tab, uncheck the box that says "Display album artwork on your iPod" and click apply. Eject and reconnect your iPod. Recheck that same box and click apply. iTunes will now copy your album artwork to your iPod. This can take a few minutes. Hopefully, everything will appear correctly.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 Preview Different Than Live?

    Hi,
I need help/guidance figuring this out:
when the page is displayed in Dreamweaver CS4 design view the top menu is aligned properly, the font size is according to the CSS code and all other tags like H2 or H4 are properly displayed
same when I choose to see the new page in "Preview In Browser" (F12) in Firefox or Safari (I'm on Mac Book)
if I choose to preview the new page on "Live View" or after uploading to the server and view it in any browser suddenly the top menu is left aligned and all H tags are not displayed correctly.
This is a new development so the URL is on the hosting server as an IP: http://65.254.68.145
I tested with W3C and it passed.
    Any pointers are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Thanks SnakEyez02 for your reply,
Most of the time I use "Preview in Browser" or [F12] and that shows me the same as the design view which in this case is different than actually viewing the page on the web server (live). I do understand your point for setting dimensions on the menu box and I'l do those changes, but maybe you can also give me your opinion for the H2 tags, as you can see in the 2 images attached to the original post, bellow the menu there are H2, H3 and H4 tags and they look different as well, it's like only part of the style.css is applied.
    Thanks,
    Joseph

  • Actual screen and Print preview are different.

    Good afternoon,
I am trying to make a spreadsheet, and have inserted numerous check boxes.  On the screen itself, look great - but when I print preview it is like the text moves and the check boxes are in the middle of the words.
I am using Excel 2013 - I tried to insert pictures but it would but it would not let me.
Any assistance would be awesome - thanks.
    Brian

    Hi,
Do you have the long text in one cell and use the wrap feature? If it is, we can use Alt + enter to wrap in the cell in stand of using wrap feature.
The print preview should looks similar with original document.
    Similar issue:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/8864a60a-60b6-416a-80c0-2d7de24c2f59/print-preview-different-than-original-document?forum=excel
On the other hand, the issue also may be caused by the printer, we can export the Excel file to PDF/XPS file and then print it to test.
If the issue still exists, please try to upload the screenshot through OneDrive and share the link in the thread.

  • Acrobat 9-forms-Radio buttons print different than check boxes

I am using Acrobat Pro 9 to create forms.
I've used both radio buttons and check boxes (that are circles).
Forms were designed in InDesign with Zapf Dingbats as the open circles to be filled in.
I used radio buttons when the user had to pick one over the other.
I used check boxes when there were multiple choices or I wanted the user to be able to uncheck a box. (I used the circle style so they would look like radio buttons).
The radio buttons are printing differently than the check boxes. It looks almost like there is an overlay on top of the actual open circle created by Zapf Dingbats.
I checked the "appearance" window and there is no border or fill color on the radio buttons (same for the check boxes).
Under the <general> tab, <common properties> is visible. I'm assuming it should be in order for the radio button to appear on the form.
I would appreciate any input as to how to fix this.
    Thansk!
    Maureen

That's just the way radio buttons are, and one reason I rarely use them in preference to check boxes. If Adobe wanted to, they could allow you to use any appearance you want for both the selected an unselected state of a check box or radio button, but they've actually further restricted your options over the years.

  • In the Color picker, the selection in the color palette is different than preview.

Working in Illustrator CS5 on a Mac. When choosing a color in the palette, the preview showing up is different than what is in the palette. If I hit "OK" the actual color chosen is the one in the palette, not the preview window... Including some pics for reference.
In my 10+ years of using Illustrator, i have never seen this.
I am using a Dell monitor on a mac... not sure if that would make a difference.

The new/old color preview box is not color managed and thus not reliable. I think that's the way it has always been. It will be the same as the selected color if you assign to your document the color space of your monitor using Edit > Assign Profile. People without a custom monitor color profile by default will not encounter this problem - they always see the colors wrong but consistent. Once you have a custom made monitor color profile you will see a difference between the same color in color managed and non-color managed software and sometimes parts of the same program like Illustrator can be color and non-color managed.

  • Why is the contents of Safari's downloads folder different than the actual folder?

Why is the contents of Safari's downloads folder different than the actual folder that resides in my users folder?

Problem is if I delete that .plist I'll delete those downloads.  I'm still able to launch those downloads from that location so that tells that file is probably not corrupted. I need to be able to located that folder and transfer the downloads from it before I do anything like this.  So that begs the question, where is that folder located?  When I do a folder search I'm taken to a Downloads folder, but it's not the one that is showing up from within Safari as it's contents are too different.
