Preview Problem - Fine When Uploaded

I'm working on this page: http://www.autosurftech.info/pift
Looks great... but when I preview it in Dreamweaver it looks like
this:

The code you have in DW is not the code you have in that link. That link shows 37 errors ranging from a form before the start of your body tags, end tag for inputs missing, missing end div tag, closing divs that don't have openings, etc, etc.
There must be something seriously wrong to have 0 errors on your page in DW and 37 when it's live. How are you publishing this page?

If you are actually creating a BDC to load data pls be more specific.
Data format incorrect. Tab delimited/ etc
Dates in wrong formats
Currency incorrect formats
Missing screens
Wrong transaction code
File not found,
Missing Mandatory fields,
Screen resoultion.
You should always use refresh for your Bdcdata table.
Loop at internal table.
refresh Bdcdata.

Site Displays Perfectly in DW Preview But Not When Uploaded

Hi,
I have a site which displays fine in IE, both the CSS and
XHTML validate and when I use the FF preview in looks just fine.
However when I upload the site to the server, the footer and a
couple of images are missing and I'm just can't figure out why. All
the paths are correct but I just can't figure out why it displays
correctly in the preview FF and it's not when uploaded and viewed
in FF. Site diplays in IE without any problems via preview or
upload.
Any help?

Since upgrading to FF5, i get the following xml error on local development server (IIS 7 Windows 7): XML Parsing Error: no element found, Line Number 1, Column 1. The pages display fine when uploaded to hosting server. How do i resolve it

All aspx pages running locally via IIS or Visual studio inbuilt server can not be displayed in FF5. This problem has only occured since upgrading to FF5. The same sites/code worked fine with the previous version of FF.
When uploaded onto a hosting server the pages display fine. Pages all display ok on local IIS on IE, chrome, opera etc.
I do go through a proxy server, but so do the other browsers.
All this means i can't develop locally on FF. Help please!

Site works in preview but not when uploaded to the web

I have been trying to add a link from my website to another project I have been doing, a mini site made with Flash.
I wanted the link to open up a new window with the animation playing inside, and it works perfectly when I use "preview in safari" within dreamweaver, but now I've uploaded to the web it just opens up a blank window.

and the link is the ActiveAid button at the bottom of the navigation list.
If anyone knows how to get this working I'd be very grateful! It's for a uni project due in this afternoon :S

I think you may be having a problem with how Flash is displayed. The Flash on the first page doesn't display in IE8... although it does in Chrome. The second page doesn't display in either. Your link is correct. I checked that.
Wish I could be more helpful, I'm having the same issue with IE and DW CS4 myself, and can't figure it out.

Text visible in preview but not when uploaded.

I'm designing a mobile site in Muse.
The fonts I'm using are from the Museo family through Typkit.
I've uploaded the site a few times during the design process and had no trouble with text frames or text appearing.
Yesterday I added a new text frame in one section to link to a phone number and now sections of text are not visible when I upload the site. It is, however visible in the Muse preview!?
I've tried creating the text boxes from scratch but they still disappear in that particular section of the site.
Does anyone know why this is!?
The pale grey line is the text box where the text should appear.

It works fine at my end, please try clear browser cookies/cache and then check. If possible, check this on a different device and see how that goes.

Dynamic text works in preview but not when uploaded

Can someone help me resolve as to why my dynamic text works
in DW8 preview by I get an error after FTPing the page.

ah ha sorted - seems to have something to do with relative
links. Changing site root relative links to document relative links
has done the trick.

My site fails to display properly, but seems fine when previewed in Flash.

Very basic set-up: I have a Flash page that previews perfectly fine when in Flash, but after uploading the .html and .js files to my host, my website doesn't display. However, the color background of the page is displayed, and the vertical scroll bar is active (because the page is very tall), but nothing shows up. Might anyone have an idea of what my problem is?

This is just a wild guess but... Be sure that you have
properly embedded any needed fonts for dynamic or input
text.

"file does not exist on remote server" when uploading image

As the title says, when uploading an image im getting the
message "file does not exist on remote server"......yet dreamwever
has uploaded the file, its there. All other pages on my website
work fine when uploading images. Any ideas?

What image type is it? Is it in an images folder or the root
directory? It would be helpful to post a link.

PDF not working, preview works fine

I'm having an issue where the preview works fine when tabbing through a form, but when I save it as a pdf it skips a radio group altogether or tabs to the 2nd option in the radio groups? Any ideas how to fix this?

Flash problems when uploading to site. CS3

hi. hope you guys can help.. i've been stuck with this
problem for a while now. i have been putting flash files (.swf)

shows up in safari) in preview mode but when i upload it all only
the home page with flash on it appears. i've put the scripts folder
in but still dont know why it doesnt show up on the other pages. in
safari nothing shows up at all again.

Moving files FROM WITHIN DW allows DW to manage such path
changes.
Use Find/Replace to remove the improper part of the path.

Hello Tim,
Please try File>Export as Html and Export your website files in a local folder.
Check if the local copy works fine or not.
If it works fine, then please try publishing the website to Business Catalyst again and make sure you select the option "All Files" from the upload dropdown in the Publish pop-up.

Problem Executing Macro from Ribbon, Runs fine when called from intermediate, or 'normal' butons

I've come across a very strange problem, we've been using some fairly simple macro's within excel for the last few months, I've recently come into a strange problem.
I decided to make things easier by putting commands onto the ribbon and creating an addin, as this code is reused by most of our workbooks, and having thousands of files with this code in seems like an awesome way to fill up our drives :)
Basically the code seems to just ignore the saveas command when run from the ribbon, code runs, ends saying successful, in the debugger stepping over the code it appears to step over the saveas command as appears that it's been excused without fail, however
no file gets created, workbook does not get saved and it keeps its original book<x> caption
here's a quick example of my code, I have a class module registering application commands
the ribbon button i'm using is just a print button, using the application print which then calls this before print function
this is the code that fires from the ribbon, we always print out 2 copies i'm not sure if this can be simplified?

Using CTRL P or File Print this works fine, BeforePrint triggers each time, but within Save Invoice it calls the Application.SaveAs function, when this print is fired from the ribbon this simply seems to get ignored

incase there is something weird i'm missing, this is the line that throws up no errrors, simply doesn't work, more annoyingly the SaveInvoice function returns no error, which in turn prints out the document, and its only until after you check for the file
you would realise it didn't save, I've since put a check in to check the file has saved, so far everysingle time it does not save from the ribbon, pressing CTRL P or clicking File Print will always save the file?

in the debug window the code also runs, triggers the before print and saves the files

it works fine when using the normal print button on the custom ui, its when using a macro combined with
ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintOut
I've just created a blank workbook, with a class module to capture the before print, I've put 2 buttons on the custom ribbon, one using the default command, and the other to call a macro to reference the printout command
before print gets activated on both tries, however the saveas command gets ignored, seems to run, but not do anything when called using the .PrintOut command.

Can you open the Preview program without loading a file, like by itself?
If it doesn't load then I suspect a corrupt Preview preference file.
Deleting the System Preference or other .plist file
Can you open other files with Preview, like jpg's and images?
How about other PDFs? or is it just that one you have downloaded?

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.
