Preview Render In to Out Issue

After I rendered in to out to preview my After Effects dynamic linked footages, the footages got messed up.
Let's say that there are footage A and footage B, and footage A is in front of footage B.
After rendering in to out, the last frame of footage A got transferred to the first frame of footage B. And the first frame of footage A is duplicated twice, occupying the spot of frame one and two of footage A.
Even if I seprate the two footages apart, they just stayed the same. Footage B's first frame will always be the last frame of footage A.
Does anybody have any idea of how this happens? Thank you!

Be sure both comps are in the same AE project. And don't use any numbers in the names. If you have to use numbers, spell them out - comp one, comp two, etc.

HD m2v render files come out speed up

Greetings. I've been recently working on an HD project in final cut. Everything was going fine until it came time to export. I'm working with 720p footage shot at 23.98 fps and edited in a 23.98 fps timeline.
When I export the video to an m2v file at standard definition, it exports just fine and my final video comes out at 24 fps like I need it. However, making no other adjustments, when you change the image size to 720p for an HD render, it comes out at 59.97 frames per second. I've tried using all the default settings in compressor, as well as switching the frame rate to automatic (even tried it at 59.97 fps to see what would happen) and obviously I've tried setting the frame rate to 23.98 fps.
Regular definition comes out fine everytime and 720p always comes out at 59.97 fps, regarldess of the frame rate settings. I'd like to figure out what's going on but bottom line is I need an HD m2v file of this film at 24 fps!
Something note worthy is that I can export to an H.264 HD .mov file with no issue; my client unfortunately needs a final HD render in m2v format.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm having this same problem. 90 minute project, DVCPRO HD 1080.
I rendered it once, took all night, then was able to export to mpeg2 for a dvd pretty quick. Few days later I went to export to another file format, but the renders were gone- back to red!

Timed out issue in jsp page!

It is really amazing for me to see this issue in my application which I deployed in Oracle Application Server 10g r2.
I am using JDeveloper 10g to create jsp pages.
On one jsp page i am displaying 15 html tables for a report.
All tables have 1 query to get records from oracle 10g database.
Am opening one connection and than one by one running queries just before each table and rendering data through ResultSet
(which is scrollable).
If I test this page from JDeveloper, it is displaying fine.
But when I deploy this page in Oracle Application Server 10g,
and create a portlet and show this jsp page in portlet and open this page,
this page most of the time giving 'TIMED OUT', and a few times displaying report properly.
I tried PreparedStatement to run multiple queries for Oracle DB, but couldn't make it successfully.
BTW,
I checked my OAS log, it shows following error:

How to deal with OpenCL grey out issue.

First off, I'm not native english speaker.
I have Nvidia GeForce 550 Ti video card, and its support OpenCL v1.1.
I'm also face a "random" OpenCL grey out issue like other people here, but I found the "issue" and how to deal with.

Nowadays, most of new GPUs were support power-saving, but when sniffer_gpu running at GPU power-saving state, the OpenCL computing report maybe "time-out", cause the detector "guess" the GPU does not support OpenCL. This is why many people says "OpenCL" sometimes work, sometimes grey-out.
I hope this bug can be fixed, or at least people can understand how to "enable OpenCL everytime when you launch photoshop".

We have a client in SAP 2005 PL 44.
I built the add-on for them using simple installer wizard ( I tried advanced set-up also).
When starting the add-on, I get the message 'Connection Timed Out'.
Add-on status is failed.
But the add-on is actually connected. i.e, The functionality associated with the add-on is working fine.
I had SAP 2007 before and un/reinstalled SAP 2005 in order to connect with this client.
I had built the same add-on in a similar way for the same client for lot many times in the past, but I never got this issue.
I tried the following:
1) Delete SM_OBS_DLL and un/reinstall DI API
2) un/reinstall B1DE
Always I'm getting this error.
Please let me know your inputs.

How to avoid Time out issues in Datapump?

Iam loading one of our schema from stage to test server using datapump expdp and impdp.Its size is around 332GB.
My Oracle server instance is on unix server rwlq52l1 and iam connecting to oracle from my client instance(rwxq04l1).
iam running the expdp and impdp command from Oracle client using the below commands.

SOAP ADAPTER TIME OUT ISSUE

We are getting the data from sql server into PI through Soap adapter.
Till day before yesterday everything is running fine .But now it has started giving us the below error.
there were no changes done in the interface.
I am not able to see any error in the runtime workbench ,communication channel monitoring, message monitoring.
This below error is giving in sql server.
Can any PI expert explain or provide me a solution to solve this issue.

Time out issue could be due to the long running process in your SQL server. please check the SQL server for its performance and also check the number of http worker threads on the SQL server side where the SOAP adapter makes the call and get the request back.

Avoid selecting BSEG within the it_bsis loop. BSIS will have huge data and when you do data selection for BSEG inside this loop things will only worsen.
My points:
BSIS:
1. Avoid 'INTO CORESSPONDING FIELDS OF" during the bsis table fetch. Instead define your target structure with the required fields and select only those fields from the BSIS table.
2. Make sure that only "Key fields" are used in your filter (where condition) for this BSIS table fetch.
3. I presume your company code in selection (so_bukrs) is a mandatory field. If not suggest for mandatory option.
BSEG:
To avoid selection of BSEG inside the bsis loop do the following.
1. Sort it_bsis by bukrs belnr gjahr buzei.
2. Move the contents of it_bsis into a temporary table of same structure, say it_bsis_tmp.
3. delete adjacent duplicates from it_bsis_tmp comparing bukrs belnr gjahr buzei.
4. Now use the below selection:
   select <fields required from bseg>
     from bseg
     into table it_bseg
     for all entries in it_bsis_tmp

Time out issues in globe transaction

Hi experts,
I have one issue that is ,...A variant ran several times in the past for monthly requirements for CAT updates is now timing out no matter how short of length of time report is set to run.
Users are using the variants like CAT_HCN_SLP, CAT_IF, and CAT_HCN and populating the field "Date of Usage Decision" with a range from 15 days to as short as 1 day - and continuously having time out issues.
This report is necessary for CAT downloads for regulatory complaince and needs to be utilized by the end of the month if not sooner.

But if it is TIME_OUT.... you need to check for any OSS Notes available for this problem.
If not send a product error message to SAP.
There cannot be anyother solution,,,, if it is time_out.

Fallout 2 problems - NOT fade out issue

Hi
I recently wanted to run fallout 2 , so i installed it without any problems and run with wine.(0.9.19)
Everything is okay ,fade out issue doesent exist horray
but i have other problem - mouse pointer. In menus everything is okay ,but in game mouse pointer acts weird ,it is hery hard to move it.Impossible to play
It is weird because when i turn on menu in game pointer run normally ,it acts good even when it is at lower side on the screen in game(where weapons are shown ,etc)
I have tried various remedy but none works ,on wine db ,noone solved this problem.
Anyone run into this problem ,any solution ?
PS.in cedega game is unplayable beacause of fade in out problem even after renicing ,but pointer acts good so it is definately wine problem

I havent played fallout in a long time so i don't know if it has this option but check for hardware/software mouse pointer. Maeby that setting will solve the issue.

Speed grade render button greyed out

I cannot render my sequence out of Speedgrade for the the render button is greyed out. Tried on several different machines, new sequences, new porject files, on CC and CS6

That's typical behavior if it thinks you haven't filled everything in it needs. So I would hazard a guess that one of the fields of this page isn't completed to Sg's satisfaction, and when you go through them and suddenly the render tab turns white, you'll know which one ... know, if going through everything doesn't help, then perhaps it thinks there's wrong data someplace. Must say, it's been a long time since I've rendered out of Speedgrade, doing nearly all my work in the D-from-PrPro mode.

Rendez-vous time out

I would like to setup a condition for a rendez-vous time out so that the rendez-vous time out of 20s is true only if two conditions are met. This is to ensure that a process is not continuously waiting if there is some kind of failure beforehand. How do I implement this condition from the Rendez-vous dialog box?

Thank you for your feedback. The rendez-vous step works beautifully. The catch is that the rendez-vous name has to begin with "*". A NI engineer told me about this fact.
However, the problem with a rendez-vous is that I don't want to create a thread for an execution that has failed. If I do this, the rendez-vous may never finish. So, the following solution was implemented prior to the Rendez-vous creation step :
1. Assign a reference for the running execution to a StationGlobal array variable.
2. Get the run state of each execution using Execution.GetStates method.
3. If the execution state is found to be running, increment a StationGlobal variable.
4. Utilize the StationGlobal variable to generate number of threads equivalent to the number of executions in the rendez-vous creation step.
As each running execution will have a copy of steps 1-3, the goal was have to each running execution increment the StationGlobal variable. However, it was realized that if a running execution executes a step 3 too early than the other running steps, it could proceed
to creating a rendez-vous that does not capture all of the running executions.
To get around this step, NI apps engineer suggested the use of a Batch Specification. Supposedly, the batch specification keeps track of the number of threads, so you do not have to worry about the number of executions that are running. However, I can't get a hold of the NI apps engineer as he is busy, so I am requesting the assistance of the community to continue my debugging. Is the batch specification an appropriate resolution for the problem I am facing? If yes, are there any examples of how a Batch Specification can be used?

Previewing dts via optical out

I'm using DTS streams in DVD studio pro 4 (.cpt files). Although the manual says it can be previewed through the optical out on a G5 with an external DTS encoder, the DTS-stream can't be previewed, it simply doesn't work. (ac3 files are previewed ok in this way). (and by the way, after building a project the apple dvd-player does play the DTS through the same optical out.)
so how can I preview DTS in dvd-studio pro 4 with the optical out on a G5?

To listen to more than the default 2 channel output of a G5 you will need a PCI soundcard such as the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 (or some other more expensive PCI card or Firwire option) which provides 6 discrete analogue outputs from FCP and other mutlitrack sound editing applications (not, at the moment, from Soundtrack Pro).
The optical output only passes encoded streams of DTS and Dolby Digital as well as two channel audio.
DVD player and DVD Studio Pro 4.0 can pass encoded streams to the optical output.

I test twice (printing) and both iPhoto and Preview left 1 cm out my 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) at the bottom of the photo paper. I'm using 10.5.6 and a HP Deskjet F380. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First try the basic fix: close iPhoto, delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and see if that helps.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.
