Preview stuck

My Preview software that comes with Yosemite is stuck in search mode. I'm working on a 2007 Macbook Pro and I opened a spreadsheet from google docs in Preview and put a number to search in the search bar accidently and and it started searching and it won't stop. I've forced quit a number of times, rebooted my computer twice and finally downloaded Yosemite again and it still is cranking and I can't stop it. Any thoughts?

The document was downloaded from google and opened in Preview. I finally got it unstuck but not sure how. I had to keep forcing quit, finally reloaded Yosemite which didn't actually help. I then restarted my computer a couple times and it finally stopped. I don't know if the search it was trying to perform finally finished or what. Strangest thing that has ever happened like that. It took a couple hours to get it.

Font preferences are on the roadmap, though they unfortunately won't be in the very next Edge Code release. In the meantime, you can use this workaround to change your editor font: https://github.com/adobe/brackets/wiki/Customize-Your-Code-Font

Lightroom 5 1:1 previews stuck at loading

I have a catalog on an external drive that was originally created in Lightroom 4. I had Lightroom create all the 1:1 previews. This was Novemeber of last year. Now I have Lightroom 5 and have upgraded the catalog. The problem is in the Library module when I zoom 1:1 it sys loading and never stops. It also never seems to calculate the histogram. If I switch to the develop module it loads fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you for your reply. I checked the link provided and found that 5.0 U1 and U2 are only supported version with the current fw + hw combination that I have. 5.0 U2 didn't work either, resulting in the same place.
Believe or not, I do have one copy the said ESXi 5.1 install on the local hard disk of B250 M1 and I was able to boot and use it. So this support issue is ok (not tested by QA, but works anyway). What I have been trying to do is to do a san boot now and boot from Virtual media and install the esxi on the JBOD. That's where I have been meeting this persistent behavior of getting stuck at imgpayld.tgz..
I will try to install window 2008R2 baremetal using the virtual media so that I can rule out any issues in that it's just the esxi i can't install...
I am thinking either i resit the blade, reset the cimc controller, or reflash the bios.
I will update the link once I find a solution to this problem.

Video Preview stuck at "Loading..."

I was having a lot of problems with viewing any movie previews in the store, so I reinstalled both Quicktime and iTunes. Now I'm just stuck on "Loading..." Is there a fix for this?

This is the following error I am getting in the log.
Cause: There was an error executing adrci commands; the following errors have been found "DIA-48415: Syntax error found in string [create home base=C:\\Documents and Settings\\user\\Application] at column [64]
DIA-48447: The input path [C:\\Documents and Settings\\user\\Application Data\\JDeveloper\\system11.1.1.2.36.55.36\\DefaultDomain\\servers\\DefaultServer\\adr] does not contain any ADR homes
DIA-48447: The input path [diag\ofm\defaultdomain\defaultserver] does not contain any ADR homes
DIA-48494: ADR home is not set, the corresponding operation cannot be done
What could possiblly cause this and how do I fix it?

Black thumbnails and inconsistent previews

This has long been an issue with Aperture for me, I use Aperture 3.5.1, OSX 10.9.4 . Editing photos sometimes has the previews stuck on a few places, sometimes when exporting photos to jpeg or just simple editing I get a black photo. To fix it I had to disable some of the editing blocks and renable them, this is very annoying and sometimes I had to restart aperture.
Seeing that Aperture stopped development I wonder if bugs like this will ever be fixed?

ARRRGGG, this is stupid. Apple leaves Aperture with all it's bugs and leaves everyone behind. No updates, no fixes. I want my money and time back!! >:(((

DW cs6 is constantly interacting with server -

yet none of my pages are able to be previewed Stuck in a strange mode -- restarted several times...
for weeks all was working perfectly - I created the menu in FW and copied into a page in DWcs6
now even though I have created a new directory to start all over, it is adding in info from other directories
(ps FTP is also SLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOW - and my pages are only showing now in chrome
not in both chrome and IE...which previously they were)
YIKES ! this is taking months and it is due next week - I am not stupid, I have made many mistakes and learned a lot but now I am in over my head~

Some browsers are more forgiving than others. I have a suspicion that you have made a mistake in your code. This could also be the reason why the FTP client is slow. You could use a third part FTP client like Filezilla to help you discover what is going wrong.
You could supply a link to the site so that we can also observe the problem.

Open multitasking menu (double - press on home button), hold the AppStore icon for a second or so, and kill it with red X that will appear.

I can sign into my email account where it goes to "Email Preview", it's stuck on that page. I cannot retrieve my emails, address book, etc. Why can't I get my email page?

When I sign into my email account I am brought to the "Email Preview" page. When I click on "email", "address book" or any of the other files, it tries to connect. In the box at the top it says "connect, then Zimbra, then connect again. Then I am brought right back to the "Email Preview" page.
I can't even open individual emails from this page. I am stuck on this page.
Altho, I can sign out.

P1102w stuck on PDF in Preview

All of a sudden my LaserJet P1102w gets stuck printing PDFs from Preview. The computer is on OS 10.10.1. The printer worked normally after I installed Yosemite some months ago. Then yesterday, out of the blue, after printing two PDFs in Preview, the printer refused to print any more. The HP Print Queue shows the PDF and reports, "Printing-Printing Page 1, 100% complete." The thermometer bar is all the way to the right. But the P1102w does nothing, except sit there and blink the green light until the P1102w turns itself off.
What is worse is that, after this happens, the P1102w refuses to print any MS Word documents as well.
I followed all the instructions at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02239404&cc=uk&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4110396#N44... The only instruction on that page that worked was the last one--unplugging the power cable of the P1102w for a minute.
After I plug the power back into the P1102w, Word documents print satisfactorily, but any attempt to print a PDF in Preview causes a repeat of the whole problem.

I see that you are experiencing issues with the printer not printing PDF documents in Preview. Then you have to power cycle the printer to be able to print from any other application. I would like to help you out with this issue today.
Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. Make sure it shows just the printer's name.
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the printer's name. (Laserjet P1102w)
If the full printer name isn't listed correctly, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.
Try printing the PDF from Adobe.
If you have any issues, run all the Adobe Updates. Product updates.
Try printing the PDF as a image. Cannot Print PDFs from Adobe Reader.
If you are still having issues, try using the built-in PDF converter: Score → Save As... and select PDF under "Save as type".
If you can print from Adobe, but not Preview, please try the following steps:
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
Restart the computer..
Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
Try printing again.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Wireless)
Were you able to print from Adobe?

How to delete a photo stuck in preview

I downlaoded a jpeg today which somehow is stuck in Preview and says "page 1" after the photo. I cannot delete this photo and it keeps popping up full screen on my computer. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Launch Preview then press Command + Option + Esc to force quit the app.

IPhone 6 photo stuck in thumbnail preview on camera screen

I took a photo today and it's got itself stuck in the small preview on the camera screen. It doesn't show in any album and when I touch the photo it goes to the previous photo I took. I have tried everything including taking a new photo and deleting it but this one photo is just stuck in the little mini preview screen.
Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Camera app on your iPhone. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

What are the pixel dimensions of your monitor?
You can reset the workspace to its default by deleting your preferences folder.

Mail and Preview get stuck using way too much CPU

Has anyone else had an issue with either Mail or Preview getting stuck using over 100% CPU for no apparant reason. This has only happened since downloading 10.8.
With Mail, I can't figure out what sets it off. It happens occasionally when I'm replying to an email, but it doesn't happen everytime. When it happens I have to quit Mail to get it to stop.
With Preview, it happens on some pdf documents when I search for a word. After I'm done searching, the CPU percentage will be going crazy (!00-125%) until I quit the app.
I have a 2011 Mac Mini with 2.3 ghz processor and 8 G RAM

Not a solution, but if the Podcast feed is dormant, why not unsubscribe?
As to the file structure for media on the device it is deliberately obscured as a countermeasure to casual piracy. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. Content put on the iPod by a non-iPod aware product is going to treat it like any external drive. The iPod firmware won't read that media.

Previewing Project -- getting stuck at 25%

my project was working fine, until I added my questions. As
soon as I added my questions, they are in pools, and I went to
preview my project, it gets stuck at 25% when it is trying to allow
me to preview the project. I have tried renaming the file and
re-doing the questions.
I'm STUCK!!

Welcome to our community, Michelle
You might wish to check your Flash player version. Just
right-click the movie area as it is "stuck" at the 25% mark. See if
you have Flash 10. If so, that could be the issue. I've seen
several reports here where upgrading to Flash 10 caused an issue
such as yours. If that is the case, I'm afraid that at the moment
the only known workaround is to downgrade to Flash 9.
From what I understand, once things have been published to a
server, they work dandy. Even with Flash 10.
