Previewer vs printout

Hello,
Currently having problem in Oracle Reports 6i (v6.0.8.20.1). When viewed in previewer, the field is truncated, but on print out, this is ok. This occur when using Courier New font 8. This behavior is more obvious when the field is right aligned. even the labels are truncated. Wanted to confirm if this is problem in Reports 6i or there are any settings needed to view this properly on both previewer and printout. In case this is limitation of Reports 6i, are there any work around we can do to fix this?

Hi,
If you place two Analysis Items and do not change it's Height and Width parameters,then it will be shown identically of same size,by default.
Since it's not of same size in your snapshot,adjust the size similarly for both items and then check.

Different Output of Sascript Box Frame between Preview and Printout

The printout from printer is correct. However, in the print preview, it gives me an extra row, becomes 5-column and 3-row.

Print Preview is missing from print dialog. It shows "Show Details" where the documentation shows Print Preview. How do I preview the printout?

Print Preview works in all other apps, including Safari. Running a Cannon PIXMA MG5220 with up-to-date printer drivers installed.

It's moved to the PDF dropdown, "Open PDF in Preview"

Preview and print a printout in production order release

Iu2019m using CO02 to release and save the production order. Currently u201Cbatch cardu201D printout is automatically printed in production order release. I want to change this to preview the printout before printout is send to the printer. Can someone tell me the configuration for this.

SaveAsRtf; Preview before print

I'm a newbie to Reader 9 and have to "Windows Vista" questions:
1. very can I find/install addin SaveAsRtf
2. is there an addin, program; other that let you preview "pdf printout" before printing
What i'm trying to do is to find a way to
1. print an "web-document" to a driver (virtual driver)
2. preview the printout not the pdf document
3. save it as TXT,RTF or Excel and if needed make changes
The reason is that the documents only can be printed to a printer.

Print preview is different from print in scripts

Hi,
i am having issue in alignment of sap script .i have adjusted my form output based on print preview .but when i am taking the output i am having alignment issue .Not only that there are some missing column boundaries in printout.
Now i cant make alignment based on printout because i am having 12 column in output and its difficult to take printout everytime i check for alignment.

Please check whether the printer name is same in preview and printout generally we are checking the preview
on our windows printer(LOCL) where as your client may cheak the printouts in some other printer in your print
preview also please change the printer what he is using for printouts.
Some times margins may cut due to the settings in the printer we must maintain some space for borders.
Coming to your allignment point the space for spaces and fonts it may vary from printer to printer so
create multiple windows to design the text in the pattern you exactly required instead
everything in one single window or atleast write them in different lines and if possible avoid any spaces are there
before your text.

Random characters displayed on preview and print

I am using Crystal Reports XI to create several reports for our users to run off our accounting system. On most computers the preview and printout is correct but on a few computers the text is displayed with random characters. We use several different printer models (mostly HP) and I was told from our accounting business partner that it is a problem with the print drivers.
At one point I thought the problem was with the Arial font so I changed to Times New Roman but I still have one user that is having trouble.
Most of the problems we have are with text headers not with the data itself, although I have see the entire report not print properly on a couple computers.
Is there any work around to have these reports print properly on all computer and printer combinations?

-Is the report using the same printer driver it was originally created with? Is this the latest printer driver?
-If you only see TTC font types, do you have this option selected? (Control Panel | Fonts | Tools | Folder Options | True Type Fonts Tab)
-Is the their any specific printer driver through which the report does not print correctly?

Smartform - printout problem

Dear Friends,
I have developed smartform for KANBAN. Smartform containing color text and Background color shading. While testing with offshore printer, I can able to see the printout as per the preview. While testing the same in client end, I cannot able to get the printout as it is in the preview. Printout taken from the client end contain only dark shadow page. It is not contain any text and box as it is in the preview. Give me suggestion for resolving above issue. Thanks in advance.

Even I had faced the similar situation, when i checked the Print preview and when i tried to send a print statement it was absolutely perfect.
But when the user is trying to print it them there was lot of changes in the layout and data was not printed in the format.
In these scenarios we can check the print options and also ask him to try to any other printer.
Genrally Basis team will figure out these kind of issue...But blindly we can chk if the print preview is correctly displayed or the spool is correctly generated(SP02) then in many cases it would be an issue with the
Printer.

HP Envy 5530 not printing in color

Hello,
I have reinstalled the printer drivers. I have cleaned the printer heads. Both ink cartridges are full. However, every time I try to print something from the internet, the preview comes up in black and white. When I export the image to a pdf in the program, Preview, the printout comes out in Black and White even though the image is color.
I am at my wits end with this. I have even tried different browsers.

Hi @StudioLily , and welcome to the HP Forums.
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Vendor address not appearing in PO

Hi All,
For particular vendor address is not appearing in PO preview and printout.
Partner function (VN,OA,PI & CR) also maintained in vendor master against this vendor code.
Also checked the SPRO(partner determination) settings ,found everything is maintained correctly.
I anaysed, if you put manually the vendor code and particular purchase organisation in PO and hit enter, maintained partner functions are appearing in partners tab in PO.
When vendor code and purchase organisation are automatically picked up from purchase requisition, partner functions are not appearing in partners tab in PO. (default only VN is appearing.Other functions OA,PI & CR are not appearing)
I did not understand,why these functions are not coming.
*The same vendor code with other purchase organisation is working correctly.
Kindly help me on this issue.

hope, you know the options in control parameters & output options.
Just in case of background job, just create a spool instead of preview or printout.
you can do check whether a job is background job or not using the system variable sy-batch (= 0).

Send PO PDF to vendor and ALSO to others

Hi,
I have a custom Ouput Type, ZNEU, that sends our custom PO form via email to the vendor by using SAPFM06 and routine ENTRY_NEU at PO save. Works fine.
Also at PO save, a new requirement is to send an email with the PO attached to two other other recipients: the requisitioner (eban-banfn) and a custom field (eban-zuname). I created a second custom Output Type, ZNE2, that gets the recipient values and their email addresses and sends the email, but how can I attach the PDF as well. At the time the output message is being created, the spool file doesn't exist yet. I considered modifying our custom output type ZNEU to also send to the additional recipients, but can't figure out where to enhance the code.
Any suggestions on how to meet this requirement will be greatly appreciated. Yes, I reward all helpful answers.

I suggest you make yourself very familiar with the SAP code that does this automatically. Once you understand the processing sequence SAP uses, it is much easier to add your customization and insert your enhancements. To debug it and step through the code, but a breakpoint in ENTRY_NEU, and process a PO. If you're sending your messages using a scheduled job, you'll hit the breakpoint when you process the message using RSNAST00. That's how I did it.
I can tell you what I did to meet my requirements. You can change to meet your needs. It required a custom program, to use instead if ENTRY_NEU, and 3 enhancements to SAP code using the Enhancement Framework. You need to know how to use the framework.
1. configure your output type ZNE2 to to run a new program ZMRP_OUTCTRL, to run form routine ENTRY_ZNE2, to create form Z_PURCHASE_ORDER.
2. In ZMRP_OUTCTRL, call standard function modules, ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINT and ME_PRINT_PO.
3. Drill down into ME_PRINT_PO to PREPARE_FORMULAR function module. Create new enhancement, and if NAST-KSCHL = ZNE2, then lookup the recipient's email address. Pass it as parameter to ADDR_GET_NEXT_COMM_TYPE.
4. Still in ME_PRINT_PO, PREPARE_FORMULAR, add another enhancement to set the value of itcpo-getotf to u2018Xu2019, to enable CLOSE_FORM to capture OTF data for PDF. Only set this OTF flag when the output is being run by RSNAST00, not when a user is simply previewing the printout. Sy-ucomm will be blank when RSNAST00 is running.
5. In ME_PRINT_PO, drill down to ENDE, and add an enhancement to check for NAST-KSCHL = ZNE2, and if so, call standard SAP function modules to END_FORM, START_FORM, WRITE_FORM, and END_FORM. Next call the function CLOSE_FORM, and set table parameter to capture the OTF_DATA as a table parameter OTF_DATA.

Smartforms-Junk Characters being printed with text

Hi,
I have two issues regarding smartforms
1.Whenever I add any text in the smartform in the text editor ,for example, "test",
the print preview shows as above, BUT in the printout it comes as #test#.
2.Similarly, when I use READ_TEXT function module to get any text from the transaction, for example, AT&T, the output in the preview and printout comes as (AT<(>&<)>T.
Can any one tell me how to avoid this junk data .

2-Check the printer setup for you particular page
3-Check the alignment of the data that you r going to print.

Sending PO in mail attachment with pdf format

Hello,
We are sending PO to vendor in a pdf attachment. The configuration is in place and as soon as the PO(ME22N) is saved the pdf mail is sent to vendor external mail address.
The requirement however is to add some text to this mail body ( in addition to the existing PDF attachment ).
The NACE config is using SAPFM06P program with entry_neu form and a custom sap script.
can somebody help as where is this mail functionality added in this standard program so that I may try to customize the same for the above requirement.
All I can see is 2 FM used in this ENTRY_NEU Form. Of which I guess ME_PRINT_PO is sending the mail ( I may be wrong here ) but where ?
I will be thankful for any kind of hint to help solve this issue.

In general you will have to do the following:
1) Set NAST-NACHA = 8 (Special function)
2) Before OPEN_FORM (maybe in In enhancement spot) if NAST-NACHA = 8, then set itcpo-tdgetotf = 'X' (to get OTF back from CLOSE_FORM!)
3) During CLOSE_FORM, if NAST-NACHA = '8', get OTF output from TABLES parameter OTFDATA
4) Convert this OTF output to PDF using following sample code:
