Previews not appearing in Web Module

Veteran LR user here. Since updating, LR 5 consistently causes snags (for us) when creating web galleries. Here's the workflow: after editing raw files and applying settings, we have a nice folder of images cropped and ready to preview with client.
Now, when we go to the Web Module, the previews are grayed-back in the Filmstrip, and images won't appear in any of the web gallery templates (either custom ones we designed or the preset versions.) We've tried everything from flagging and staring images to get them to appear. Also save metadata to all the images in the folder.
The only thing that seems to work is to close LR5--with backup and catalog optimization--then, we re-open LR5. That seems to "free up" the Web Module. Upon reopening LR5, our folder of images suddenly appears when we go to the Web Module.
This is an unaceptable work around b/c closing and optimizing takes alot of time. Making web proofing galleries used to be a snap in previous versions of LR, now we're stumped in LR5 trying to figure out what we're doing wrong.

It isn't Lightroom itself, or everyone would be seeing it. I'm currently working on a new plugin myself and all is fine-useless to you, but it may reflect something in your setup, like corrupt preferences. There is also an occasional jQuery problem in Lightroom where the whole system needs a reboot to get Lightroom back in gear.
I'd backup and remove preferences, then start Lightroom and see how it goes.

Banner does not appear in web preview

I have a banner image that I put at the top of my webpage it looks great in DW. However when I go to web preview in Firefox or IE it does not appear on the page in the browser, just the title bayshore. Can someone please let me know how to fix this.

This is a strange way to show the site. Can't you just upload the page?
In addition, I tried running that piece of code through the validator and you do have issues with the HTML that could cause some display issues. I would recommend fixing those first to see if that helps:

Some Program Icons do not appear in Web Premium Student Edition

This seems like the problem I am having but the fix seems to be for CS3. I have CS4. I am also running 32 Bit windows not 64 bit.
I downloaded the trials of DW, FW, and Flash prior to purchasing this and they displayed their icons just fine. I also made sure that all of the programs were uninstalled prior to installing them from the disc.
Any idea how to fix this? I checked the programs properties and they show the icons but why won't they show it there?
Any help would be appreciated. Also I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum. I though this would be fine considering this is about the Web Premium pack.

You only need to post a URL to your web site. We can see your code in Browser.
So, your page looks OK to me in Firefox, but when I tried to check it in IE, it choked my browser and closed it.
You have quite a few code validation errors - no document type declaration, etc... Start by fixing these reported errors.

Buttons not appearing on web

I have a form with a button which dynamically pops up in front of text items (using set_item property, position and visible). This works on c/s but on the web the button does not appear. Is there a reason for this ? I have fixed it using stacked canvases but it was a nuisance to have to do so.

Strictly speaking it's a bug in client server - items should not be able to directly overlay each other, unless only one of them is visible. (or you are using a stacked canvas)

Query Selection Screen does not appear in Web Analyzer

Hi Experts,
Query Selection Screen appears when we open the query in Bex Analayzer in production system. But when we open the query in ABAP or JAVA Web view, the selection screen does not appears.
As the volume of data in the cube is very high, and since the selection screen is not appearing, the query extracts 1.5Mrecords and results in dump.
Kindly let me know the possibility for selection screen not appearing.
Note: The selection screen appear in Development system in Bex Analyzer, ABAP View and Java View

You can check if the parameter &VARIABLE_SCREEN=X is added to standard template or not, If not add this,
In order to add this parameter in the webtemplate you have to change 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and save it as ZANALYSIS_PATTERN and enter this standard web template under TCODE RSCUSTV27.
Also I would like to explain you the behavior of Web Analyzer,
Parameter VARIABLE_SCREEN=X only influences the WEB application at startup. This will not come into affect
when you use the 'New Analysis' button. The 'New Analysis' button resets the dataprovider so this would not
affect the variable screen and would not redisplay the variable screen as you require.

Charts not appear in Web Intelligence canvas view result

I have the next situation, when I use charts in my webi in view result this not appear but when I put the view structure or export my report the chart appear.
I cant understand. I have BOBJ XI 3.2 and I am using web intelligence rich client standalone for do some test.

Can you let me know the Chart type and Objects you have for chart.
In case of Measure objects, those are directly coming from back-end level or created at report level?? If at Report level give me the Formula of that.

Office Web Apps - Preview not appearing when acccessing via HTTPS

I have installed Sharepoint 2013 and Office Web Apps, set the wopibinding, and set the wopizone to be https-external. Everything seems to work fine if accessing the web app using HTTP (can open, edit, preview office web app (WAC) documents)... but if
I access via HTTPS then I run into a mixed content error when trying to preview the WAC documents... I can open them and edit them without issue using office web apps inside the browser though just not preview.
If I select "New document" it also takes a while to load and displays a blank pop up window... assume it must be related

Font previews not appearing correctly in the character window after upgrading to Yosemite

Hi,
I’m having an issue with Illustrator CS5 since I upgraded to Yosemite. When I go to the character window to select fonts they are not displaying the names correctly or to put it a better way they’re not showing at all!
When I scroll up and down the list only the highlighted (where the cursor is positioned) font name and preview will show up as expected, oh and a few random font names. (please see attached image, although strangely the highlighted area is showing blank on this screen grab)
I had to update the Java in order to get this version of illustrator working on Yosemite, could there be a connection to that?

Open System Preferences and go to Accessibility. Next, select Display from the source list along the left, then check the box labelled Reduce transparency.

File Dialog not appearing in web form after Note:74140.1

Hello, I have implemented the source given in Note:74140.1 to replace the get_file_name function that displays the file dialog box. However I still am not able to see the dialog that the JavaBean should display. I am relativly new at linking JavaBeans with forms, so there might be something that I am missing.
I have created the class files for FDialog and FDialogPJC and put them in an ear file. I have also modified the fiels server.xml and default-web-site.xml to include the ear file. The respective code for a button has been added to the button trigger in the form, as well as the code for the JavaBean.
So far this has been unsuccessful. If you have a suggestion, your help is much appreciated.

the problem is that when I type JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean when working in JDeveloper, it cannot locate the java class file JDialogPJC.class. This happens when I put both the JDialogPJC and JDialog classes in the jar file and put the jar file in the forms90/java directory.
However, if I just put both class files (not contained in a jar file) in the forms90/java directory, and I specify the JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean, it works fine.
I would like to be able to use the jar file instead of a whole load of class files sitting in the directory.

Exception not appeared in Web Analyser

We are using exception in Query which are working properly in BEx Analyser but when execute this query in Web Analyser these exception do not reflect with same color code.
In setting it is showing that same exception is active but color code is not there?

EEWB field is not appearing in web ui

Hi All,
I added a new field to orderadm_h using EEWB based on the transaction type(service order) . Now i am able to see the newly added field in the CRMD_ORDERADM_H table .eventhough the bol structure also enhanced. the new field is available under the view context node attribute.this new field is not availble in the configuration section(show available fields).can any one help me.

Email code do not appear in web page

I want to send email so I put the following test code in an index.cfm file:

When I view the page source of the web page, I only see "cfmail".
I do not see "<cfmail to=... </cfmail>.

Have you checked the underliverable mail directory and/or log files to see if any errors were encountered?
You may wish to review the "Sending and Receiving E-Mail" section of the CF documentation for information on troubleshooting mail problems.

Flash video skin controls not appearing on web page

I have a puzzle. I have some test movie clips that are
operated (played) by pressing a thumbnail. All works ok in the
resultinmg html and flash file that is produced, but when I import
the flash movi into DW, the controls disappear, but the movie
plays...

I have a similar problem. I have an FLV which sits inside my flash movie. It works fine when previewing it within the flash viewer.
But when embedding the flash movie into a html page - the controls magically disappear!
Now i have tried copying the skin to EVERY SINGLE LOCATION WITHIN MY FOLDER STRUCTURE...but it still does not display.
Any more suggestions??

Many images do not appear on numerous web pages. How can I fix this? I have graphics enabled.

For quite some time many images just do not appear on web pages. I have taken a screen shot of a page to show what the problem is but can find nowhere to upload it so you can see for yourselves. Now what do I do?

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden "Menu Bar" temporarily.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a check-mark then remove this check-mark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

Video not included in web gallery

I imported a collection of photos and videos. The videos appear in the library, but not in the web module. Is there a way to include these videos in the exported web gallery? If Lightroom does not support this directly, are there any web tutorials that explain how to include them manually? I did a google search, which was unsuccessful, but perhaps I was using the wrong search terms.
