"Previous" button locks up Quiz screens

Hello.  I was wondering if anyone has encountered the phenomenon of Captivate placing a "You did not answer the question completely" on all the quiz screens in a file in the event the user would click the "Previous" button in the skin?  When this happens, all of the quiz screens in the file have the aforementioned message and the user can not complete the quiz.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you check the Quiz Preferences, Settings: is the option 'Allow backward movement' activated?

How do I lock my ipad screen so the swipe action and the side button on the screen do not work?  When my cats play a game on my ipad, they regularly swipe the screen and push the side button and the game disappears.

The button on the top that you use to lock and unlock or put to sleep is the power button.  The button lower center of the screen is the home button...can be used to also wake from sleep and switch to the base home screen.
Good to hear you are now able to lock rotation, even if you are not sure how you did it
If you go to the iBook icon, tap Store in the uppper left side of the screen, you can search for the iPad User Guide...a free download that will place the guide in your iBooks library as a great source of background information.

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

I believe the keys on an imac are F11 and F12, for dark / bright respectively.
Try that, I think it'll work.
If not, then try out all the "F" keys, one of them will work.

IPhone black screen does not show anything, but I can hear that the device works. I hear the lock open the screen and hear the iPod but the screen remains black!!

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

  • My ipod Shuffle 4g turns on the button lock as soon i turn on my ipod!

Hello, I turned my Ipod Shuffle 4th gen on as Normal, but as soon I Turned it on, the button lock turns on automatically, and becomes unresponsive, I cant turn it off! I Can only somehow control my ipod with the remote on my headphones... is there a soulution?????

GOD i did pretty much the same think , idropped mine on a chair nd it dented on the lower volume button and at first there was this crack on the screen like a smurf punched the volume button nd left a crater. After i touched the crack a little bit freaking out, the whole screen went white with a small black spot( like the one on yours, but ALOT smaller) after a little while , like 10 min in my pocket, i could see the top of the screen normally(enough to see the time and date while its locked, but the spot is still there nd the rest of the screen is really white. i can make out things easier on the right side, but everything on the left is bright and distorted as if the loer part of the screen was cut in half nd the left side slid down.
But anyways i dont think we can fix this , ive tried pushing out the dent nd now my ipod just has seisures( the screen flashes like a strobe light as it goes from white and distorted to normal nd back)
Might just hav to pay the $99 for apple to replace/repair it

  • How do I change the lable of next and previous button in GAF of FPM

    Hi Experts,
How do I change the label of next and previous button in GAF application using FPM in each individual step?
    Thanks!

    Hello Anthony,
as far as I am aware only the final step before the confirmation screen can be changed. Which you can do by clicking on it in the configuration view - click on the last but one step - and click on the next button - at the bottom of the screen you'll get a view where you can change the label of the step.
There is some logic in this - in that it does make for a more consistent user experience across various apps.
It's different to how we could do things in Java - but it's nice that there is a certain level of conformity across FPM apps.
    hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Chris

My iPad has locked so the screen doesn't rotate!? How do I un lock it?

when you flipped the switch did the roation icon appear in the middle of the screen for a moment?
one thing you can also try is...
    Try doing a hard reboot
    1. hold the power and home buttons down
    2. you will see the "swipe to turn off" screen come up... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS
    3. The screen will go black (turn off)... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS
    4. A white Apple logo will appear on the screen, now you can release the buttons. Let the iDevice boot... should only take a couple minutes.

  • "Previous" Button has disappeared

I'm on Windows XP Pro, 2 Gig RAM, Raid 1 (2 36GB Raptors), 500 GB in HD on two drives, Externals total 1 Tb. My Lightroom is the trial version downloaded last week (May 18th or thereabouts). I am a professional photographer. www.twmeyer.com.
    Here's my problem:
the "previous" button is not showing up in the "Develop" module, and even though the help files say
"In the Develop module, click the Previous button to the right of the toolbar, or choose Develop > Paste Settings From Previous.
there is no "Previous" button, and the Help menu further states
"When multiple photos are selected in the Filmstrip, the Previous button in the Develop module turns into the Sync button."
But I can't tell how to select (aside from just clicking on an image), if multiples are selected, or how to de-select (aside from clicking on a different image). Just above the Filmstrip, in the area where the filter settings are, it is indicated that I am in a particular collection, that there are 709 photos in that collection and they are all selected: "709 photos / 709 selected".
I suspect this "selection" is what's causing the problem, as in "When multiple photos are selected in the Filmstrip, the Previous button in the Develop module turns into the Sync button"... which is exactly what I'm looking at... The coveted "Previous" button is now the unattractive "Sync" button.
    Any other ideas?.
I don't want to have to Cnrtl>Alt>V my way through hundreds... thousands of images. The advantage of the previous button is that each image is not exactly like the next, but the next is frequently very similar to the previous one (within a relatively contiguous set of moments), so I can correct the first in a series of images in a complex manner, move to the next image and click "Previous" and then apply the minor tweak necessary. This, rather than go through all the different settings on every image.
Since it is, from one photo to the next, an incremental and shifting change (like getting closer to a window, or perhaps a cloud goes by that window, or moving deeper into a tungsten lit room) it doesn't make sense to apply any one set of corrections to all the photos in these "real world" images (not studio lit). I want to fluidly move through the collection bumping exposure on this one, apply those changes to the next image and maybe bump the WB on it, and so on.
I want the "darned" :^) "Previous" button!... Help!... t

and solved. It was some sort of locked on selection. I'm not sure the problem started, but it may be connected to the library being reconfigured. It (the Library) was on the C drive but the images were on an external that is turned on and off as needed. This may have caused some conflict that I haven't the tech-head to noodle out.
I just got another 500G External drive that I plan to dedicate to the Lightroom Library and all new images for editing. Does this mean I have to delete and re-import again? or can I move it from my C drive otherwise, somehow? I plan to generate sidecars with all new imports, hoping that I will then be able to move the images to other externals (and optical disks) for archiving, and carry them to my studio computer with LR data intact. This archiving and pass through will be of both original NEF files and derivative PSDs and JPGs. Workable?
I will be getting (and reading) Martin Evening's Lightroom Book before taking any more significant actions. It was in his PDF download (and from Ellis V) that I discovered the idea of locating the Library in an external or secondary HD, rather than in the default location on my precious C drive.
Thanks again for all who tipped in on this issue and who might address these secondary issues (or should they be another thread?)... t

  • Next previous button in gallery

Hi guys, been a while, hope everyone is well.  I am having a problem implementing a next/previous button on an image once it has been enlarged in my gallery.  I have done it in pure as3 but all tutorials seem to use the timeline.  I will post my code underneath so you can see what I am up too.  The next/previous button should I think be added to the modelClicked function.
From what I understand, I will get a next/previous button and turn them into a button object.  I will then delete them from my stage and instantiate them within the class below.  I would then add them to the modelClicked function with events tied to them.  What should I then do in these events to make it fit in with the code below?
    Any advise appreciated,
    Cheers

I don't actually know how you're loading your data.  It's also very difficult to figure out what's happening in your code, since you're extending Classes you don't show. What I can tell you is that you need to store the data about iterating each collection at the level where it's needed. You may want to look at the composite pattern http://www.as3dp.com/2007/05/composite-pattern-book-part-1/ .
In my opinion, the biggest problem you have is poor separation of concerns--you call things Models that are clearly Views, and because you are storing relevant data in Views rather than simply using your Views to represent data, you're making the task of representing and iterating through your data much harder than it needs to be.
The ideal structure would be a data structure that has data for each thumbnail in some sort of collection, like an Array or Vector. This data structure would only be responsible for storing the data and maintaining a pointer to the currently selected thumbnail.  When the pointer changes, the data object dispatches a change event, so Views that care about this pointer can update. Each piece of data could then have a member variable that is one of these collections that manages the correct pointer.  That's where the composite pattern comes in.
Now, the task of building your Views becomes much easier. You have one View that gets a collection and shows all the thumbnails and one View that gets a specific thumbnail, mix and match as needed. The Views, again watch the change event and do whatever they need to do when the pointer changes.
At this point, who sets the pointer ceases to matter. It can be inside one of your Views or outside any of your Views--when the pointer changes, the View that is watching that particular collection will update, and if the result of that update is that a nested View then watches a different collection, that's ok--it still follows the same principles.

  • Lightroom mobile performance and "previous" button issues

I am considering subscribing to Lightroom mobile for iPad so I decided to give it a trial run with 2000+ photos sync-ed (iPad 3, Nikon D7000 raw files). The performance is awful!
Browsing through the images is fairly decent. Flagging also does a good job and seems that export works fine, but that is as far as I would go in praising the app.
Downloading from the cloud for offline use takes time (for sure my internet connection's bandwidth is not the problem) and the app does not sync files for offline use when the iPad locks. I had to change the iPad lock settings to "never" in order to be able to download the full set of images. The iPad went from 50% battery to 10% just to download the files. That long it took, with the brightness dimmed to the minimum.
With all other apps closed on the iPad (and offline from CC), it takes 2 to 5 seconds for loading the adjustment values (not to render the image) when moving to a new image (all image info off: exposure settings and histogram).
When using basic adjustments and crop I have found it very difficult to apply the same settings to the next image. Simply the Previous button is inactive. Browsing back and forth seems to activate this button at random times. But clicking on it and selecting "Everything from previous" does not bring any settings. Neither the basic adjustments, nor the crop settings. Although the image seems to be re-rendering.
In this case above, once the "Previous" button is reactivated, clicking on it highlights the selection (e.g. "Everything from previous") but no settings are applied. The menu does not close. I can click on "everything from" or "basic tones from" and they get highlighted but nothing happens. The menu does not close. Extremely annoying.
Same thing for the Reset menu. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I have managed (again at random times) to reset the image to the import settings, browse back and forward to other images, return to the image and then apply the settings from previous photo successfully. But only if I wait 2-3 seconds after the "Previous" menu pops-up.
When I hit the Reset -> All menu and then Previous -> "Everything", the image seems to only receive distortion correction (applied on the desktop to all photos upon import). No other settings are applied (basic adjustments or crop).
When connected to CC, performance degrades even more as it seems that the app is checking for updated settings to the file. It adds an additional 2-3 seconds per image...
Is there a fix in the works for these annoyances? At the current stage of the app, I do not consider subscribing to Creative Cloud as the app is basically unusable for batch processing.
It would be best if the app would be optimised for batch processing as at the moment it seems as poor as the Photos app on the iPad (with some versatility in terms of the settings that can be tweaked). Any target date for a future update? My trial expires in 20 days or so and I am not impressed for now.
I am not bothered by the slow rendering of the images on my device (for sure the iPad Air would do a better job) but the user interface is extremely slow and unusable. I have managed to edit 135 photos in 2 weekend days (roughly 4 hours of use). Very disappointed.

    Hi,
    thank you for your feedback.
Previous... will only be active if the two images (previous one) and the present have different adjustments.
    Some more answers inline:
In this case above, once the "Previous" button is reactivated, clicking on it highlights the selection (e.g. "Everything from previous") but no settings are applied. The menu does not close. I can click on "everything from" or "basic tones from" and they get highlighted but nothing happens. The menu does not close. Extremely annoying.
The Previous... menu will not close automatically once one of its options has been chosen. Btw. do the small thumbnails visually differ from another (Basic tones and Everything)?
Same thing for the Reset menu. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I have managed (again at random times) to reset the image to the import settings, browse back and forward to other images, return to the image and then apply the settings from previous photo successfully. But only if I wait 2-3 seconds after the "Previous" menu pops-up.
Reset to Import is only visible if you have done any changes to the image. When you mention that it sometimes doesn't work - is the problem that it's not enabled at all?
When using basic adjustments and crop I have found it very difficult to apply the same settings to the next image. Simply the Previous button is inactive. Browsing back and forth seems to activate this button at random times. But clicking on it and selecting "Everything from previous" does not bring any settings. Neither the basic adjustments, nor the crop settings. Although the image seems to be re-rendering.
It would be nice if you could give us some more info on this case. Since I have a problem reproducing this issue, could you please let us know if you have many applications in the background? How much free space do you have on your device?
Does a restart of the device help (in some cases it can)?
When I hit the Reset -> All menu and then Previous -> "Everything", the image seems to only receive distortion correction (applied on the desktop to all photos upon import). No other settings are applied (basic adjustments or crop).
Are you doing Previous->Everything this on the same image that you reset?
    thanks,
    Ignacio
