No.

Welcome to the Apple community Fazypk.
Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

  • How to install iCloud on my Mac Pro.

I want to install iCloud on my Mac Pro. I updated the software as requested and opened systems preference but I cant seem to find the iCloud icon. How do I add my Mac Pro to my iCloud devices? Thank you in advance for your help...

Open the Mac App Store and try purchasing Mountain Lion 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU with at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
A Mac Pro(not MacBook Pro) with at least 2GB of RAM automatically meets the requirements for Lion.

  • HT201441 How to deactivate previous owner's iCloud account attached to iTunes?

I bought an ipod touch 5th gen second hand, but the user's iCloud account is still attached. I have no idea who the previous owner was. How do I deactivate the iCloud account so that I can use the unit?

You can't deactivate it.  You have to get the ID and password from the previous owner or have them erase it and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515.  There's no way around this and no one else can help.

  • Previous owners name still on my mac

I just bought this mac from a friend and I cant figure out how to delete all of his information without having to delete my whole hd.  I changed my name and password and deleted his files but there is still his name on my profiles and stuff.

I have done that already but his documents and files are still in the finder and computer
If you really  had done that, then you wouldn't see his documents.
If you bought it used, the first and best thing you should do is reformat it and reinstall the OS. That way you can start from scratch with a fresh system with no residuals and potentials issues from the previous owner.

  • ICloud apps to mac pro

I downloaded all my apps from my iphone to itunes on my mac pro. I see all my apps under apps on itunes but when I click on one of the apps to open it nothing happens? Are you able to open and use the apps that you cloud from your phone or its just to store them on your computer??

Your iPhone apps will not run on your Mac. The operating systems are different on the iPhone and Mac. The apps are written for iOS on the iPhone. For use on the Mac they need to be written for OS X instead.

  • HT4859 is mobile me the same as Icloud for my mac pro?

im trying to get my devices synced but I cannot find Icloud on my macbook

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
iCloud requires OS X Lion or Mountain Lion. Open  > About this Mac and check Version. If it's 10.5, buy Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard Then, make a backup, insert the DVD and upgrade. Finally, open  > Software Update and install the most recent version.
If it's 10.6, go to  > Software Update and install the most recent version. Finally, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. See if your apps are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com

  • How do i remove an iCloud account from a previous owner on my macbook

PLEASE HELP.  I bought a used Macbook Air for my wife and it has the previous owner's iCloud information.  When I try to remove it, it requires his passwork which I obviously do not know.  I've tried resetting his password in hopes that it would email it to the iCloud mail set on the device with no luck.  Please help.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
1a. If you don't own another Mac
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received those media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Some models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you may not be able to reinstall 10.6 even from the original discs, and Internet Recovery may not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
1b. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    2. Partition and install OS X
If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    3. Other issues
If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

  • How do I re-register my MacBook in my name, rather than the previous owner?

I just purchased a older MacBook, i've reinstalled the OS X Yosemite and did the whole factory reset thing, the previous owner's account, apps and information has all been completely wiped.. How ever I think the MacBook is still some how registered to the previous owner... My iPhone sees it still being named the name the previous owner gave it? I'm trying to set up the whole "text and receive calls from my MacBook" but I think that it still being registered to the previous owner is not allowing me to use this feature. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make sure the previous owner is in no way tied to my new MacBook? and how I can "re-register it" into my name?
Not sure if my questions makes a lot of sense or not, but anything helpful would be appreciated!
    -Andrew

You restored OS X from the previous owners recovery partition. That Mac shipped with OS X Snow Leopard and unless you have the original discs you'll need to buy a retail copy of SL http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard and use it to completely erase the hard drive and reinstall OS X as a new Mac That can be registered to you. Once you upgrade to 10.6.8 you can then upgrade to Yosemite for free.

  • PPro Performance Variance on Mac Pro 2013: CC Version 7.0 vs. Version 8.0

    Hi,
I've been editing on a late 2013 Mac Pro model with Yosemite (see system specs in the JPEG below). I have really mixed results editing with the most up to date version of Premiere Pro CC. Playback in a timeline lags significantly with 4K and standard HD 1080p media and the software crashes more often than I would like. I have tried a few things like checking the permissions status of varying media and project folders. I do not use GPU-based rendering as that has been problematic, creating pink lines etc. in the resulting previews and exports. Even after previews are rendered for a timeline, playback still lags regardless of media resolution.
In general, as a Premiere project becomes more complex, crashes become more frequent and playback lags even more. Dynamic Linking with AE causes so many crashes that is basically not functional. The only plug-ins I'm using are Magic Bullet and FilmConvert.
I'm not a huge fan of the shift in workflow/edit logic in FCP X, and want to avoid making that transition if I can. In an attempt to test the varied performance of Premiere, I have reverted to a previous version, CC 7.0. MY initial testing shows that this version renders previews more quickly (still without GPU assistance) and playback seems to lag less. Of course I imported an XML from a project originating in V. 8.0 and there are a few translation issues mostly related to warp stabilizing and color correction, which can be fixed if the overall performance boost is greater.
I have read a handful of forums of users experiencing similar or even more drastic difficulty running Premiere on a new MacPro platform. I have explored some of the troubleshoots suggested, but no major changes in performance. It seems to be hit or miss in terms of Premiere/MacPros playing well together. Strange that no one factor can seem to be pinpointed.
Has anyone else been fiddling with this option of using a previous version of Premiere on a Mac Pro? Any success? Other suggestions to improve performance in the latest version?
    Thanks!

I just had an interesting thought.
I use the method of dragging a clip to the "new item" button to create a matching sequence of my majority media type for a project. Have there been any bugs or issues reported with this technique on the latest version of Premiere Pro CC? This is a possibility I haven't yet explored in terms of the issues I am experiencing with playback. When this thought dawned on me today, I took a look at my sequence settings in a troublesome clip, and am not sure it quite matches up. In this example, details in screenshot below, my majority footage was shot on a Canon XA20. The resulting sequence is using at ARRI Cinema editing mode. That seems to be a mis-match, but maybe not? Thoughts? Suggestions? Helpful resources about "editing modes" and optimization for playback? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

  • Mac Pro CHURNING!

I have a first generation MacPro and it is now a year since I have converted over to mac software now that I have a new mac laptop. Previously I ran bootcamp on the Mac Pro.
In this year I have noticed a relatively loud (for mac) CHURNING sound coming from my MacPro. Oftentimes this is happening when I wake up in the morning. Oftentimes it is almost impossible to get work done due to slowness and pinwheel hangs.
Can anyone recommend some zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance type steps for me to solve this?
Sometime I Cancel Time Machine Backup and it fixes it.
However I also have a Parallels install to access the XP drive in this machine and I notice there is a prlvm that seems to be taking up some CPU.
Now I am using Dropbox to transfer files from the laptop to the desktop and vice versa and I notice this takes up some CPU.
This morning I noticed Carbonite online backup was taking up a lot of CPU.
On top of this I am backing up to secondary external drives using Deja Vu (software is fantastic but tech assistance needs a bit of a jumpstart).
Thanks for any guidance and wisdom.

    Hi Grant.
All this is a little tricky here so thanks for the help.
I have Activity Monitor pulled down to Active Processes.
I click on the System Memory pane, yes?
I see % CPU which I think is important (but can't really read intelligently) and I have Real Memory (which I also don't really understand). I also see Threads. Then I see that the User is Root or my Admin name or even _windowserver or _mdnsreponder in one case.
Is there a good way to get it to stop jumping around? Seems like it wants to move the list around a lot
I am not getting the churning after shutdown but
Kernel Task is using 306.6 MB which I guess is totally inconsequential, it has 70 threads and CPU is 1.5% (my top listing at the moment). Obviously not a problem as it is quiet as can be but if I can get a handle on some of those perhaps I can tackle it better next time?
Can I ask you how I know if I have had a page out?
Also, at one point someone asked me to open something a little like Activity Manager to see if there were a lot of errors generated. Do you know if this was a history record of some kind or what this utility may have been?
    Thanks a ton.
