Previous version of Premiere...

Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a way to retrograde to a previous version of Premiere CC?
I know you can install CS6 but that doesnt really help me.
Now that Premiere doesnt support FLV and SWF files I would really like to be able to go to the previous version
of CC.
Thank for any help in advance!

Hi Chunk,
Please check the below link to roll back to the previous version 7.0.1 of premiere pro cc.

  • Problem opening a converted project from previous version of Premiere CC, in Premiere CC 2014.

Hello. This is the problem. When I try to open with premiere pro CC 2014 a converted and actualized CC 2014 version of a project created previously in a previous version of premiere, the software crash.
Said in other words if it doesn't clear:
    - I created a project in Premiere CC
    - I actualized the project to Premiere CC 2014
    - I worked in the project with the new Premiere CC 2014 for few days and suddenly, I cannot open the project and the software crash.
I hope you understand my problem. Sorry about my english. I'm not native english speaker.
Thanks for your help and support.

Rather than opening directly, try importing the project via the Media Browser Window.
Much more efficient as you'll have more options.

  • Convert file from previous version of premiere

I've recently updated Premiere CC through the updater and now it won't convert a file the previous version

    Hi fealy88,
The new Premiere Pro 8.1 or 2014.1 will convert your Project files as soon as you open a Project created in Previous version of Premiere Pro including Premiere Pro 8.0.1 or 2014.0.1. So, if you have created a project in 8.0.1 and you open it in 8.1 it will give you a prompt to rename the file. Once you save it, you cannot open it in any Previous version of Premiere Pro including 8.0.1. This change is made in the 8.1 update, before this it was possible to open a Project created in the latter update into the former update and Vice Versa.

  • Opening projects in CC 2014.2 created in previous version of premiere cc 2014

    Hello,
I just upgraded premiere cc 2014 to premiere cc 2014.2. When I try to open my project created in the last version of cc 2014 I am instructed to convert the project created in the previous version of premiere so it can be opened in premiere cc 2014.2 When I convert the project it will open in cc 2014.2 but the sequences don't come with it. I need to have access to the original sequence so I don't have to edit the project again. Thanks for your help.

  • How to revert to a previous version of premiere pro cc

I udpadeted my premiere pro cc to the 7.2.1 version and premiere is not working for me at all. I was wondering if there is a way to revert back to a previous version I really need to finish a project for a client andI am not able to do that right now on the 7.2.1 version

In the CORRECT answer you will find the download link.

  • Roll back to previous version of Premiere CC

This might help someone. I was having allot of issues after I updated to 7.2 with audio dissolves and playback so I reverted back to 7.1. This is how to do it:
Follow links on this thread on how to download version 7.0.1:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5823746#5823746
*its about halfway down the page
*Make sure you click the first link and leave it open in the background before you click on the download links otherwise you wont get access.
Download update for whatever version you want to roll back to:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=98&platform=Windows
You need to download two files to install Premiere CC 7.0.1. There is an installer (.exe) and all the files (.7z). Once both are downloaded click the .exe and that will install Premiere.
Then unzip the update and install.
    Good Luck!

Thanks Ann – in response to reader requests, we've taken it a step further...
Here are all the installers & updates for all CC tools into one a codified set of instructions:

So, rolling back (or forward) through any Creative Cloud update is now possible if/when necessary.
Hope this helps someone in a pinch!

  • Premiere pro cc 2014 new update terribly slow, previous versions available?

recently updated to the newest version of premiere pro in the middle of a project. ( silly, i know) been experiencing so many problems. specifically lag in the program and rendering previews. ive searched all over threads and google for what could be causing the problem to no avail. also have tried uninstalling, cleaner tool, reinstalling. tried changing permissions. at this point i just want to revert back to CC or at least 8.01 but i cannot find any links or a way to return to a previous version of premiere. any help?
Im using a mac book pro with osx Yosemite
dual core 2.2 250gb ssd boot and 750gb 7200 rpm internal

  • How do I install an older version of Premiere CS6

I want to install Premiere CS6 6.0.3 but have 6.0.5 installed. I downloaded the 6.0.3 update from this page:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=98&platform=Windows
but when I tried to install it I got an error.
How do I install a previous version of Premiere CS6?
    Randy

    Hi Randy,
Once the file is downloaded and initiate the installation you need to choose start my subscription or start trial and enter your Adobe Id and password
to activate it. If you are using CC you can download, install and activate CS6 product as well with that.
Please use the below link for 6.0 version

Please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions section prior to clicking on the download link.

  • How to revert to a previous version of any Creative Cloud application

All those users who have burned their fingers by the latest update to Illustrator 17.1, especially with respect to how the Reshape functionality works or how the Pencil tool behaves, there is a solution. After some digging around, I came across this page: http://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2014/01/29/revert-to-a-previous-version-of-premiere-pr o-cc-or-any-creative-cloud-application/
    In short, follow these steps:
    1) Uninstall the application from your computer using the application’s uninstaller. If you are not aware of their location, uninstallers reside in the same folder as your application.
    2) From the Creative Cloud desktop application, begin to install any Creative Cloud application by clicking the “Install” button.
    3) As soon as the application indicates it is “Updating”, click the “X” to cancel the process.
    4) This leaves applications at the same version when Creative Cloud was first launched.
    5) Go to the product updates site http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html and then install the version of the application that suits your needs.
Let's get back to our jobs with 17.0 for now till the time Adobe fixes the mess they created with some thoughtful update in the future!

I agree that the ability to move path segments freely, being able to apply Live corners to objects & on a per-corner basis (unlike the Round Corner effect) and being able to draw a straight line with the Pencil Tool (like Freehand) were always on the top of everyone's wish list for a very long time. No one is questioning that for sure. But the way it was implemented, detrimentally affecting (if I may say so) the way users would really like to work is something the griping is about. As rcraighead said, they have come at the expense of the working features.
Take the Reshape functionality. Photoshop introduced the "Constrain Path Dragging" functionality in CS6 whereby if this option is turned off - that is, path dragging is unconstrained, you get the same functionality as we presently see with the Reshape functionality in Illustrator 17.1 but if it is turned on, you get the same functionality as we were used to all along in Illustrator prior to 17.1. At least they gave the choice. But Illustrator simply abandoned the constrain path dragging functionality with the new Reshape feature in 17.1.
About the Live Corners functionality - how often does one need to apply corners to their artwork? Is it always, 100% of the time? You'd agree, No, not always. Maybe 5% (or is it 20%?). But the corner widgets are always shown when the Direct selection tool is selected. Already some users have asked 'how to hide the widget' and you've graciously answered. The point I'm making is if applying corners is not something which one does always or very rarely, why show those widgets always, by default? Obviously some smart-aleck will jump in to ridicule me & say 'hide it if you don't want to see it, it's just a click away, you fool.' or discoverability could be cited as one of the reasons but that's not the point. The other day I was doing some freeform drawing with the Pencil Tool & obviously did not need corners on those paths but on selecting the ds tool, all those widgets showed up and it was not a pretty sight.

  • Errors opening a project in Adobe Premiere pro CC 2014 from previous version

    Hello!
I have a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014. I use Adobe to edit my film project and from the last time I updated the CC to CC 2014, it shows me an error message (Pic nr 1). When I want to continue and save that, Premiere CC 2014 shows me another message(Nr 2). but next time when I want to open that, it's impossible ... (Nr 3).
I didn't change or remove anything. The problem started after I updated the program. Even now that I want to open the project with previous version of CC 2013, its showing me the same errors...
Do someone have any idea about it?
    Thanks

    Try this:
Error "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened"

  • Export to Premiere Pro opens in previous version

I exported a timeline from Premiere to audition and did some work on it. When I tried to export back to Premiere Pro it tried to open in a previous version, not CC. Where can I change this behavior?

This problem went away when I install 2014 and then suddenly re-appeared. I have found that the solution is to edit the registry key that sends the file back to PP.
    First, find the registry key
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/.prproj and note it's value.
    Then find
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/<the other value>/shell/open/command
and make sure the path to the correct version of Premiere Pro is entered here.
Not sure what is causing this to change. Maybe it would be better to include this in the program preferences?

  • Installing Encore CS6 with Premiere CC 2014 - Not in Previous Versions

I have a new computer and am ready to install Premiere/Encore/AME. From what I understand, in order to install Encore, it's recommended to use the Creative Cloud desktop app, and click the "Previous Versions" button to see the CS6 version of Premiere. From that point, you can choose to install just Encore. To be clear, I have not installed Premiere CC 2014 or AME yet. So when I click the "previous versions" button, the only two programs that appear are Edge Animate CC and Gaming SDK. No Premiere option. If I'm looking under "all apps", I can see Premiere Pro CC 2014, but not an option for CS6. Is there another place I can download Encore CS6?

Same problem. When I select "Previous Version", the only apps with previous versions available are Bridge, Edge Animate and Gaming SDK. No CS6 versions show up at all.
I tried the process described above to log out, quit cc, rename the opm.db file, then log back in. But I am unable to log back into CC. (Or rather I am immediately logged back out again.)
Maybe this is because I am using an enterprise version of CC??? Mac OS X 10.10.2

  • Error message: previous version saved in adobe premiere pro

    Greetings all,
PrEl 7 shut down unexpectedly when I tried to save a portion of my timeline as an avi.  When I re-opened it, I got the error message previous version of this project saved in adobe premiere pro and it would not allow me to open it.
What can I do to restore the project; I'm in the finishing stages.
    Thanks,
    Antoinette

There have been a couple of similar threads, and some are fairly recent. I do not recall if there was ever a resolution. It also seems that people have looked at the XML code in the PREL files, and their header info clearly stated PrElements, and not PrPro, yet something is not being read correctly by PrE.
Now, do you have any AutoSave versions of the PREL? Note: the default is five AutoSaves, and these are overwritten, once one has gotten the five. Check the Time/Date of each, as 003 might be later than 005.
If I can find some of those threads, I will post links to them, and also refresh my memory on any solutions.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Where is the download link for premiere elements 10 and previous versions?

Where is the download link for premiere elements 10 and previous versions?
Also the search program doesn't find previous version downloads.
Chat is completely busy and won't let me in.
And I am not paying $39 for what is an Adobe issue.
    FAIL!
Anyone know where I might find it?

What I've always found strange though is that the downloads themselves come from Adobe's servers. Just seems weird that Adobe themselves won't provide the links!
