Previously bought Songs on new PC

I bought some songs some months ago already. Now i bought a new PC and now I want to add the previously bought songs to itunes on the new PC as well!
How can I do that? Am I really to stupid to find that option??

If you haven't already done so then you should be able to authorise your account on that computer's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option - if you are using a PC and the drop-down menus aren't showing then control-B should get them to show
e.g. (hopefully the image will show, but there is a bug on these forums affecting images)

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and in the circumstances you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. I changed over from windows 7 to windows 8 and now my previously bought songs will not play.Tried to follows all the intructions for authorising my computer but can't seem to make sense of them.The instructions don't seem to be for windows 8.Can somebody help?

Hello Robert,
With the latest version of iTunes on Windows, the menu bars are hidden, and it sounds like yours need to be enabled before you can authorize your computer. You can follow these steps to enable the menu bars:
To keep the iTunes menus active, change the setting by selecting the Menu icon in the upper-left, and then selecting Show Menu Bar. Alternatively, you can press Control-B.

Ever since iTunes became (almost all) DRM-free, you won't need to authorize your computer to play previously purchased content. Just go to iTunes Store>Purchased and download what you want. Then enjoy!

Hello Support have emailed a request before but it goes via Forums which do not help.I have come overseas for a few months and must still work, and need to have access to download software I have previously bought as own as I have a new computer. Loading Previously Purchased Songs on New Computer

I'm looking to load previously purchased songs onto a new computer. My old computer received a virus (those people are going to ****) and I want to recapture all the music I previously purchased. Is that possible?
I tried the "check for purchases" under the tools button but only two songs came through.

Assuming you have an iPod - hook it up to your "puter & you should receive a dialogue box which states that there are songs on your iPod that are not on your "puter "do you wish to transfer them?
Press Ok & sit back & relax. If not call apple & explain your plight to them, they can do this as I found out ( before I sussed connecting my iPod up though!). However they will ask you to detail all your purchase dates & order No.s etc. but you will be able to get this info by logging on to your iTunes account. Tiresome but it worked for me!.

Uploading Previously purchased songs to new computer

I'm having trouble tranferring previously purchased songs from my IPOD nano to my new lap top. When I attempt to transfer, about 25 of my 100 previously purchased songs transfer and the remainder do not. Something about not being authorized to transfer to this computer. All 100 songs were purchased off I-Tunes.

I am having similar problems. I have my library (and playlists) on my new computer, the new compte has been authorised and the previously purchased songs play on the computer. However, since then I have connected my ipod for a update and all my previously purchased songs were removed from my ipod. Why has it done this? The songs are still in my new computer and are playable. Can they be put back on my ipod?

You are allowed a total of 5 computers at a time to be authorized to play content. It is not necessary to deauthorize an old computer if you are attempting to add a new one unless you have reached your five total allotment. From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer and enter your Apple ID and password. At that point you should be able to access your previous purchases. I have included two links listed below. If you are in the US or Canada you should be able to do this from the store. Click on "Purchased" under Quick links.
This facility is not available yet in other countries.

One way is to restore from backup. The other way is to use iTunes on your old computer to burn a hard copy of the album (ie, make a audio CD.) Then import the songs to your new computer.
