Previously synced movies no longer downloadable to iPad

I'm having an issue syncing movies to my iPad using the purchased media option in the iTunes store. Some of my movies don't have the download option and only have a watch option. Some movies that I was able to download previously also now only show the watch option. I have plenty of available room on the tablet. I've also done a soft and hard reset with no change. It almost seems as if iTunes think the move is already on my iPad. After some searching, I've been unable to find a someone else with a similar situation and I could use some assistance. Thanks much for any advice in clearing this up.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the iTunes Store on your iPad. For this issue, I recommend signing out and back into the iTunes Store on your iPad:
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.
I recommend signing in with your same Apple ID and trying to download your past purchases again.

That is because they are not available for redownload in the U.K.

Cannot sync movies in Itunes to my Ipad 3

I have tried a few times to sync my movies in itunes and it it isnt working. HELP

Are you syncing correctly?
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Movies Tab on the right.
Click on all of the Movies that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Movies Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Why can't I sync movies onto my 4th gen iPad?

I had two movies and 6 home videos and wanted to sync two diff movies and getting rid of the other two from ipad, and nothing happened! same movies still on my ipad, no chages at all. then I tried getting rid of the home videos and same thing happened to the movies, nothing happened. so on my ipad I manually get rid of the movies and then syncing, nothing! I restart the ipad, i sync and still nothing! I even tried getting rid of the music (1400 tunes) and nothing changed, just the laptop says I have no music. so I try and synce back the music and one movie and it keeps saying "need more room", so i get rid of the apps and still says I need more room, ohyea and nothing changed on the ipad. Only thing missing are the movies I got rid of, and it says I have home videos and shows the pics and everything but doesnt play! please help

Sure you don't have the iPod set to manage the music manually?
You can check by going to the 'summary' page and you will see the option to:
"manually manage music". Is that selected?
If you want to auto sync your music etc, you need to click on the 'music' tab, where you will see the option to:
"sync music" with either "all songs and playlists" or "selected playlists".

When syncing movies to an iPhone or iPad does iTunes down convert HD to SD if you check that option?

I have many purchased movies from the iTunes store. All in HD because I watch them with my apple TV. We will be going on a trip and I want to sync some of these movies to our iPads and iPhones to keep the little ones entertained. Will my 1080p videos at 5GB a piece be synced to our devices or does iTunes down convert them to SD for devices? I know there is a check box that says "prefer SD videos" but I wasn't sure what that meant.

OK, when buying HD versions of shows, only the HD copy will automatically download now (probably due to requests from people who don't need/want the SD version and complained about it being forced on them). The SD copy can be downloaded from your purchases area in iTunes on your computer. On the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select TV shows. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you should then see the SD copies of the shows and be able to download them.
Or if you don't want/need the HD versions of the shows, or don't have a computer with iTunes, just buy the SD versions. They're cheaper in any case.

Rented Movies won't download to ipad

I rented a movie on Itunes, it won't download over WIFI, can I still download to my PC and then transfer to the ipad?

I am learning to use my new ipad. I have to sync to itunes to download to ipad. I made the mistake of having a different ID and password on my imac and ipad and then synced the two. My username is not sailsalot. Too many answers to my computer.

My account ID on my new ipad was different from my imac. I accidently synced the two and then learned that the two ID's must be the same (which they are now). I am new to ipad so am just learning. My ID is not "sailsalot." I am getting tons of answers from Apple Support to questions that sailsalot is asking. My ID is <removed by moderator>

For ringtones, iTunes > Preferences > General >Import Settings... button > choose Import using AAC encoder to enable Create AAC version from .m4a and mp3 files.

Unable to delete previously watched movies in Downloads

I currently have 9 previously watched movies in the Downloads section of my iTunes app that no matter what I do can't be deleted. They are taking up so much of my iPad's memory that I can no longer download any apps or movies. Please help!!

Ah, I found the bug.
I had to go in and manually change the sync options for the Nano under the Devices > Movies tab.

IPad will not sync movie

I puirchased and downloaded a movie from iTunes and it is my library. However, when I sync my iPad with my iTunes, this movie remains in my library and does not sync to the iPad. I have two previously synced movies on my iPad, but the most recent purchase will not sync. I have the check in "Sync Movies" and "all". How do I get the most recent movie to the iPad.

Do you have some sort of age restricted content setting preventing the movie from syncing in Settings>General>Restrictions?
Are you using the correct Apple ID on the iPad - the same one that you used to buy the movie?
Do you have enough space left on the iPad to allow the movies to sync? Settings>General>Usage>Storage? See how much space you have left on the iPad.

ITunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday. In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

Yes that is correct. However there is one slight difference with rented content, in that you need to transfer it to your iPad rather than simply sync. You can do this by selecting the rental in iTunes from the left hand side of the iTunes window and choosing the transfer option.
Yes it will be transferred to the video app on your iPad.
