PRI to VOIP point to point span requirement
Hi all...
I am planning a basic voip link and have a hardware question...I have searched and read the info from cisco on some similiar setup's..Here is what I am planning...
A pri to voip to pri span and looks like this..
NortelOpt81<--->PRI<-->3640<==3mb=WAN==(2DS1's)==>3640<--->PRI<-->Nortel
Opt61
I am basically looking to convert our existing channelized DS1 setup to a voip PRI emulated link...
I was planning on purchasing PRI cards for the 3640's...my question is if there is a prefered card to use? or if there would be any other router hardware requirement's (dsp's?) that I may need?
Is anyone here using a similar setup?
Any input or advice is greatly appreciated..
Thanks
T1/E1 Multiflex Voice/WAN Interface Card would be the best choice.

Adding DA Entry Point: firewall requirements?
Hi,
When adding a new DA Entry Point, getting error:
"A connection cannot be established to server <New_DA_Server.domain.com>. Check that the server is available, the Remote Access role is installed, and that you have permissions to access the server".
The RA role is installed, and the domain user account is a local admin on the new DA server. However, internal firewall restricts file share (SMB) access between the existing and new DA server. We're changing this as I type, but are there any
other firewall port requirements to add a new entry point? This http://goo.gl/jBlVxZ nor any other Technet page mentions inter-Entry Point firewall requirements.
Many thanks,Hi There - I am not aware of any specific firewall requirements between the sites and i am not entirely convinced that SMB is the culprit. However, as an aside thought, have you ran the DA Wizard as Right Click Run As Administrator (sorry about that !) as
I have seen issues where just clicking normally prevents a few configurations from running.
Also I have seen several instances where firewalls were just not playing nicely for many reasons and I have used PowerShell Commands instead of the GUI which worked even when the GUI wouldn't.

Is the distribution point role required on an SCCM 2012 site server?
I am wondering if the distribution point role is required on an SCCM 2012 site server.
We have an installation of SCCM 2012 SP1 with a site server, and two remote DPs.
I would like to remove the DP role from the site server, and stand up another server (2012) at the same location, making it a DP and also have it hold the WSUS content.
I was successful in creating the DP on the new server. I distributed all of our packages to the new server.
I then removed the packages from the DP on the site server, and removed the DP role from the site server.
After making these changes, we lost the ability to deploy packages, either from the new DP server, or from the previously existing DPs that were at other locations.
Deployment status in the SCCM console showed that clients were “waiting for content”.
I found that adding the DP role back to the site server, and distributing packages to it corrected the problem.
Deployment resumed after doing that. Is it necessary to have packages on a DP on the site server?
We want to virtualize the server, and would like to make it as small as possible to facility restores.Hi,

Multiple Shipping Point Determination required?
Dear all,
Assuming there is a plant (XYZ), where only one shipping point (ABC) is assigned in the shipping point-plant assignment (i.e. XYZ-ABC).
In the shipping point determination, where formula is: Shipping condition + Loading Group + Plant = Proposed Shipping Point
There is 5 different loading groups (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5).
Shipping condition = Standard (01)
If I want to use the same shipping point (ABC) assigned to the plant XYZ for all loading group combination, is it possible?
Example:
1. 01 + 1 + XYZ = ABC
2. 01 + 2 + XYZ = ABC
3. 01 + 3 + XYZ = ABC
What are the implications?
Pls enlighten.
THanks..
Rgds.Dear PKW,
As you have mentioned that Shipping point determination :
Shipping Conditions(Customer Master data)
Loading Group(Materail Master data)
Delivering Plant(CMIR or Customer Master data).
Whenever you defined the different combinations of above in Shipping point determination, the system proposed shipping point you have maintained.
So you can get the Shipping point you defined.
If you have any concerns revert back the same

AS5300 with IDSN PRI for VoIP and 56K dialup
Hello everyone, I'm faced with a configuration issue on an existing AS5300 server

Web Application Designer (Line Charts-Data Points)
Hi
I have to display the query in WEB as a Line Chart
The Query is on Cal Day Vs Mean Value
The user enter the Cal Day (From/To)..the Line chart is supposed to display mean Value on No of Cal Days users choosed.
In query created variable for Cal Day..but how can i define the Data Points for the chart in the Web designer.
Bydefault we have to specift no of data points we required..how can i change that to be based on the range user entered
Than ksHi Krishna,
When you define a chart, you define a number of series, but when you run the WAD, it takes the number of series it has the query.

No Controller Transaction - No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry
All,
We have an application built on ADF using JPA as the backend. We are not using BC4J. In all taskflows we have the following settings
1. No Controller Transaction
2. No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry (Unchecked). i.e. a Save Point is created for on each task flow entry.
However, I read in one of performance guidelines to select the "No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry " when No Save point is required as it saves the expensive model passivation at the taskflow startup.
My question is, does the "No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry " selection has any effect when "No Controller Transaction" option is selected. Does ADF try to passivate the model even when controller is not managing transaction when "No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry" transaction is unchecked.
I tried to test it in my local environment by checking the "No Save Point on TaskFlow Entry " but could not really conclude whether it has any siginificant performance improvement.
Any inputs on thsi would be of real help in deciding whether to go ahead and select this option in all our taskflows.
Thanks,
RamaRama,
I can't say from any experience whether it has any effect even with no controller transaction.
However, it doesn't sound as if you'll be using the savepoints, so it seems safe to me to disable the save points.

Hi
1. Is there a way I can control the bandwith between 2 sites regarding the distirbution point syncronization
Requirement:
Pirmary Site --> Send packages to standard distribution point (server DP) "Link is 3 mb bandwith" and I want to limit 50kb the transfer.
Workstation afftectd in the remote location 100
2. What is you recommend for type of DP to be used (standard DP or secondary site with DP)
Please advise
RobertHi
You can go to Site Database --> Site Setting(of the primary Site) --> Go to addresses properties of the address you created there is a tab of rate limit you can punch in the rate at what you want the data transfer to be.
This can only be done for site to site communication.
In your case Primary site to secondary site.
Better you replicate package in out of office hours, rather then throtling the bandwidth to certain limit.
3MB bandwidth is not a too good bandwidth for 100 clients where package size is large. Monthly patching package will be minimum of 200 MB size for Security updates itself. I suggest you should go for secondary site with DP role created which will also help
in data transfer(rrporting data) collectively to primary site via Proxy management point role. Also for patching install WSUS console your secondary site Install SUP role then you need to configure it as Active SUP and configure it to sync from upstream
server that will be your Primary site to get the patch information.
Kindly mark this as Answere or helpfull as suitable to you so other can take advantage of similar situation
Based on the question, there are no secondary sites thus most of your answer does not apply to whats been asked and is thus not helpful.

UCCX 8.0(2) SPAN/RSPAN based VOIP Monitoring
Hi Alll,
UCCX 8.0(2) High Availability (both servers are co-located in data center, where agents and supervisors are in building across the street over fibre)
SRND for UCCX 8 describes that it supports SPAN and/or RSPAN based voip monitoring, which is a requirement for my client as they have CAD Agents running on Citrix thin client and Supervisors on Thick client PCs.
However I am struggling to find a way to achieve this solution for my client with UCCX 8.x, UCCX 7 we would not have had this problem as you can configure 2nd NIC adaptor on UCCX server to be configured as VOIP Monitoring server port/IP under PostInstall and sniff all traffic for all Agent phone devices as configured under CDA.
Desktop Monitoring is not supported for thin client environment. Customer may eventually purchase QM/WFM, but for now we urgently require the essentials of agent monitoring on UCCX.
Please has anybody successfully had this configuration described above achieved? or have any ideas?
Thank you,
YavuzHave you been able to get a response to this post? I am running into the exact same issue with an upgrade to UCCx 8.0. SPAN on the 2nd NIC isn't allowed, and now the customer has lost functionality.
Thanks,

Measument point - Counter - Backwards - Over flow limit value ?
Hi ,
I 'm trying to use measurement point, the requirement is i need to start from 20000 hours and go on decreasing the life of the part and when i reach 1000 hours i need the system to tell me so. i'm not able to update the upper and lower limits in reverse, neither i'm knowing what to put for over flow counter reading. Please help.
Regards,
VivekHI Experts,
I am looking for information relating to setting up backward counters to schedule Maintenance Plans. When I try to create a Maintenance Plan linked to a Backward Counter, I receive the error "Only counters that run forwards can be entered - Error IP124" . What am I doing wrong? How can I use backwards counters with maintenance plans?
We have several clocks that count down the hours til the next major or minor pm is due. The technician manually records the time from these clocks. Worst case is that we can subtract the counter time from a constant if we have to, but I'd like to have the technician enter in the clock time directly with out any manipulation needed.
Thanks in advance,

Invoice Splitting - for some shipping points and not others
Dear Gurus, I have a requirement where for some shipping points I need to be able to split an invoice on sales order (i.e. a separate invoice for each customer order) and for other shipping points I require a single invoice for multiple customer sales orders. Using the copy control rules for LF to F2, I have set the Refence Number to B but this does not achieve what I want. Would it be possible to achieve this via a copy requirements routine and by setting the values in VBRK-ZUKI? Do I just copy the standard 003 routine and apply my changes here? If yes, where do I insert the code - the top or bottom? Regards
In VOFM, first of all "Copying requirements" are used when we want to stop creating a target document from a source document or to prevent certain items from copying to target document under certain conditions. Copying requirements can't be used to do invoice split.
Data transfer routines are the ones that allow invoice split (in addition to allowing copying fields from source to target). Although "copying requirements" is a loosely used terminology, it is important we make distinction between copying requirements and data transfer routines as both are different and perform different functions.
SAP uses field VBRK-ZUKRI (a 40 character field) to store the combination of field values that are used as basis of invoice split. Invoice split happens if any of the fields stored in VBRK-ZUKRI differ across orders/deliveries (or their items) from which invoices are created.
We assign VBRK-ZUKRI during item copy control in data transfer routines. The fields are simply concatenated and assigned to VBRK-ZUKRI.
in VOFM, "Data transfer" routine 003 for Billing documents for example splits the invoice for each reference document, as shown by code below
Include FV60C003
* For each reference document an invoice is created
FORM DATEN_KOPIEREN_003.
DATA: BEGIN OF ZUK,
MODUL(3) VALUE '003',
VTWEG LIKE VBAK-VTWEG,
SPART LIKE VBAK-SPART,
VGBEL LIKE VBRP-VGBEL,
END OF ZUK.
ZUK-VTWEG = VBAK-VTWEG.
ZUK-SPART = VBAK-SPART.
IF KURGV-PERFK = SPACE.
ZUK-VGBEL = VBRP-VGBEL.
ENDIF.
VBRK-ZUKRI = ZUK.
ENDFORM.
In the above coding we are concatenating VBAK-VTWEG (Distr channel), VBAK-SPART (Division), VBRP-VGBEL (Reference Order from billing item) as the criteria for invoice split. So if any of these field differ then it will cause a split. So basically we are creating one invoice for all items that reference a single order
So what you need to do for your requirement, is to copy the logic of data transfer routine 003 in VOFM to your own custom 9XX routine and make the assignment to ZUK / VBRK-ZUKRI only when shipping point (LIKP-VSTEL) is not equal to certain values that you don't want split to happen. It is better to maintain those shipping points in a custom table and make the check on the table rather than hard coding, so that in future it is easy to add more shipping points or remove existing ones if needed.
Also remember to assign the new data transfer routine number 9XX to all relevant item categories in VTFL for your target billing type and reference delivery type -
Hi,
Just a though about the required points to reach a status.
It appears 700 points are required to reach the Guru status, with 10 points by correct answers, that means 70 corrects answers are required. It seems very low. A Guru is a very high level of knowlegde people, 70 corrects answers is ridiculously low regarding what means Guru.
By comparision, on [VMWare forum|http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-1283] , 20,000 points are required with 10 points by correct answers, which is more serious and show stronger knowledge.
Nicolas. You need to get in with the right answer* before someone else does, 70 times. In a forum with many gurus this will be more difficult than one with few.
*or a wrong answer which the OP thinks will work. "select max(id)+1 from table" springs to mind. there should be a "that's a stupid idea" button! -
Questions about VOIP and recording in Connect
Hi,
We have been using Connect for a long time, but have been doing the audio using AT&T teleconferencing. We were thinking about using VOIP for the webinars we do. I just have a few questions.
1. Is there a limit of the number of connections to VOIP like there is with the teleconferencing? Is there a point where the number on there could decrease the quality of the VOIP?
2. When we record the webinar, where can we save it to? Can we save it to our server?
Any help with these questions would be great. Anything else that would be good to know for doing VOIP and recording?
Thanks.
LisaWe don't natively integrate with AT&T by the way - so you have to use Universal Voice in this case and set it up yourself. Not hard to do.
1. No limit on VOIP but we recommend using the optional SPEEX audio codec built into the Host Add-In if using VOIP a lot. It requires everyone to be using the Host Add-In though. Over 150 though and it might get unruly!
2. Recordings are saved to the Adobe Connect Central portal that every customer has for their rooms. You can create a local copy from there and then copy the local copy to another server. It's a Flash file so you may need to convert it if you don't have a player. -

Hello Final Cut Studio 2 Experts,
I'm considering purchasing Final Cut Studi 2, and to make sure that I'll benefit from the full range of specific application (FCS/motion/color...) and I'd like to ask few questions (5 main points) regarding requirements and recommendations. So, please be prepared for much reading as I am not an expert on the matter. I like to know if my computer accepts any further hardware parts highly recommended and if I can purchase and install them myself. And yes, you should also know that I intend to use a Panasonic multi-format (HD/SD) camera for capturing and exporting videos.
N.B. Please note that the full list of my Hardware contents appear at the bottom of this text.
THANKS IN ADVANCE for your expert advise!
So, here we go:
Application-Specific Requirements
Final Cut Studio
Capturing HD resolution video using the ProRes 422 format requires a Mac Pro with an Intel Xeon processor or a G5 Quad computer and a qualified third-party capture card.
1) Do I need an Intel Xeon processor? If yes, can I purchase and install the component by myself (like RAM)?
Motion
The standard graphics card in any Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac with Intel Core Duo, Power Mac G5, or iMac G5; 1.25GHz or faster PowerBook G4; or 1.25GHz or faster flat-panel iMac:
ATI Radeon 9800, 9700 Pro, 9600 XT, or 9600 Pro
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 or 9600
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT, 7300 GT, 6600, 6600 LE, FX Go5200, or FX 5200 Ultra
For 16- and 32-bit rendering: a graphics card with at least 128MB of VRAM
2) Do I need one of the ATI Radeon 9800, 9700... or ATI Mobility Radeon? Why does my Hardware contents say ATI Radeon 9600, and not ATI Mobility Radeon 9600, is there a difference?
Color
The standard graphics card in any Mac Pro, 17-inch MacBook Pro, 24-inch iMac with Intel Core Duo, or 2.5GHz or faster Power Mac G5 Quad:
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600
ATI Radeon X1600
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT, 7600 GT, 7300 GT, 6600, or Quadro FX 4500
A display with 1680-by-1050 resolution or higher
A three-button mouse for full functionality
3) Do I need and ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 or ATI Radeon X1600?
DVD Studio Pro
For playback of DVD Studio Pro 4-authored HD DVDs: a Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G5 or Intel Core Duo processor
For writing finished projects to disc: an Apple SuperDrive or other DVD recorder
For writing finished projects to a double-layer disc: a double-layer-compatible recorder and double-layer media
For transporting HD projects to a replicator: an external drive or Internet transfer of the project’s disk image
For transporting SD projects that contain copy-protection or dual-layer features to a replicator: a DLT drive, external drive, or Internet transfer of the project’s disk image
4) Do I have an Intel Core Duo processor? Do I need an Apple SuperDrive?
What is a "replicator"?
Application-Specific Recommendations
Motion
One of the following graphics cards is highly recommended:
ATI Radeon X1900 XT, X850 XT, X800 XT, or X1600
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT, 6800 Ultra DDL, 6800 GT DDL, or Quadro FX 4500
For 32-bit rendering: a graphics card with 256MB of VRAM or more
Color
The following graphics card is highly recommended:
ATI Radeon X1900 XT
Dual displays with 1920-by-1200 or higher resolution
5) Do I have one of the highly recommended cards ATI Radeon X1900 XT etc...? How do I get it and can I install it myself?

Transfer of Requirements for Return Orders
Hi,
Please I need help on TOR management with Return Orders in SD.
I've already red all the threads realted to TOR and ATP but I couldn't find a solution. As we know TOR is dependent on the following data: reqts type, reqts class, checking group and schedule line category.
The reqts type and class are determined in the strategy group (material master - MRP3).
Now if I switch on Transfer of Requirements for Returns, at Schedule Line level and Reqts Class level, the result is that I can see requirements related to Returns in the availability check overview of Sales Orders (ATP count) but if I check in the requirements list (i.e. transaction MD04) these requirements related to Returns are not recorded. Why?
And also another point please: requirements generated from Return Orders, into ATP count are considered as normal Sales Orders (negative sign, reducing ATP quantity, when it should be the contrary because a goods receipt is expected).
Can you help me please on these 2 points (perhaps something related with Sales Document Category)?
Thank you very much
Kind Regards
API practically did a sample order / returns order to see your requirements and these are my observations
a)
If you create a standard sales order, then the availability check registers a minus sign with stock required in Rec./reqd qty field.
Once you save the sales order, this is not seen again as the total quantity is reduced by sales order quantity.
It was indicating a minus sign when you created a returns order because you checked the Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators in schedule line category.
It was simulating a requirement as you checked the indicators in schedule line category.
If you create returns order with standard DN (i.e. Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators are not checked), then you would not see any requirement for stock i.e. you don't see any new entry in availability overview screen.
b)
You are not seeing returned quantities in MD04 because of Movement types. This has nothing to do with Transfer of requirements.
Schedule line DN uses movement type 651.
Using movement type 651, you post returns from a customer with returns delivery to blocked stock returns.
The blocked stock returns are are neither valuated nor part of "unrestricted-use" stock.
Hence you are not seeing the returned stock in your available stock.
If you click the magnifying glass on total stock i.e. top line of your stock/requirements list (transaction MD04), you could see the returned quantity in 'Returns field'.
If you want to post returns from a customer with returns delivery directly to the valuated stock, you could use the following movement types in schedule line category.
653 Returns from customer to unrestricted-use stock
655 Returns from customer to stock in quality inspection
With these movement types, you could see returned quantities in stock/requirements list.
