Price difference in itunes browser/store

I'm new to the store and I created an itunes account when I saw the Mst3k soundtrack albums, "Clowns in the Sky I & II" were only $15.99 when viewing the store in my browser but when I clicked to buy it in itunes the price had more than doubled to $35.99. Why the huge price difference? Is the online store just slow to update?
I live in Australia by the way in case this is just things being more expensive here again.

US store says $15.99 when searching for it in Safari, looking at it in the main window of the iTunes store and after I click on it to get the details. I didn't try to buy it so I can't say what I'd be charged.

Price difference between iTunes and Amazon instant video

We've always purchased instant videos from Amazon, because we had TiVos to download them to. We recently upgraded to the XL4 in the living room, and minis in the other rooms. There is a copyright problem with the minis and we are unable to watch any purchased or rented movies from Amazon on them. They can only be watched on the XL4. I'm not a fan of roku because it isn't compatible with one of our tvs. I love the apple tv. I'd like to just put one in all the rooms, but I'm finding a big difference with the price of instant videos on iTunes HD, vs Amazon HD. Example: Haven season 1 and 2 are $19.99 on both iTunes and Amazon. Season 3 is $35 on iTunes and $19.99 on Amazon. If it were just a few dollars more, I'd buy it, but $15 is a big difference for 1 show.
Does anyone know if iTunes will start matching prices, or become more comparable with Amazon and Vudu?

All prices are set by the content providers, so it's the TV company that will need to change their prices for iTunes. Whether that will happen, only the providers will know.

Why the differences between iTunes Online stores?

I am English, but live in the Netherlands. Therefore, I have to use the Dutch iTunes store.
Having searched the U.K., Dutch, German and even the Norwegian site, I am curious, and somewhat annoyed, as to why some albums are available on one country's site and not on another. If an album I want is available on the Norwegian site I am unable to purchase it using my Dutch account.
Why can't I purchase everything that iTunes has to offer through one online store?

To expand on what Roger has said, those agreements are "controlled" by the record companies/copyright owners, so it's not due to iTunes or Apple that the music you want isn't available in the Netherlands.

Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The only people who will reply to your posts are your fellow users.
You would need to talk to the Apple Store from which you purchased the iPad. Apple's official return policy is 14 days, though it's been reported that the manager of some Apple Stores have been waiving that limit.
I doubt very much that the Apple Store will have anyone who speaks Chinese, though of course you can ask.

Price difference of iWorks in app store and apple store

Hi there, I'm from Singapore and I'm a Macbook Pro user and I've been considering getting the Keynote, Pages and Numbers softwares. I've noticed that in the App Store, the price is listed as $19.99 for each individual app (for Singapore location), and I've noticed that the bundled package iWorks is priced at SGD$138. Is the App Store price in US Dollars? Why the price difference (apart from the packaging)?

Disabling web browsing and Wifi Itunes music store

We're thinking of getting a iPod touch for the kids for xmas and I'm wondering if there is a way to disable web browsing and iTunes wifi access, since I understand there are no parental controls available on the touch. Thanks

yes there is no way to disable this icons, and the only way to do this is to put a password on your wireless router settings, this way they don't know the password and that they can not access the safari, youtube, and the wi-fi itunes music store.

Insane Prices at Australian iTunes Store

Why is it that the Australians (and I'm sure many of the other international iTunes Store locations too) get absolutely shafted on the prices of some releases?
Let's look at my favourite artist Beck and his latest album The Information. The physical CD release comes with a bonus DVD with videos for every song and costs no more than a standard album. In the US iTunes store you can buy the The Information (Bonus Video Version) for US$11.99. That's about two dollars more than a standard iTunes album but still good value considering you get the videos and it's cheaper than buying the CD. Now if we look at the The Information in the Australian iTunes store it costs AUS$35.99. That's AUS$19 more than the standard album price of AUS$16.99. $19 dollars for some videos that are free for the physical release? Plus you don't even get the song or the video for the Australian bonus track 'Inside Out'.
Now let's move on to one of my favourite labels DFA records who release a lot of vinyl only singles. Due to this, digital downloads from the iTunes Store are the only legal way for non vinyl heads to access their music. Unfortunately the pricing in the Australian iTunes music store puts this music way out of most peoples reach. Let's look at one of their big singles this year 'Wrong Galaxy'/'Triumph' by **** Robot. In the US iTunes store you can buy this single for only US$2.49. This is fantastic value for this two awesome tracks. However, in the Australian store you have to plonk down AUS$17.99 for the same release!
These are just a few examples of the insane pricing that exists in the Australian iTunes Music store. Come on Apple, the Australian dollar isn't THAT bad!

Prices on the iTMS are in almost all cases set by the record companies, not by Apple.
You can try sending a message to the iTMS through the form at the bottom of this web page, just in case it's a pricing error. But it may indeed be correct and forced on Apple by the record company.

Difference of iTunes Store

I need a little help here on the difference of the US store and the store I have (aka Malaysia's iTunes Store). So basically I wanted to buy a TV Show Collection but it's only available in the US store, and I really wanted it so is there anyway that I can get it with my current account?

If the content is not available in your country's iTunes Store, then you cannot get it, at least not unless some other download store for your country offers the content. Apple can sell only what they can obtain licenses to sell in your country.

If I search the iTunes Store for "chinese translation", I get dozens of apps listed. Make sure you're searching the iTunes Store, not your library. The search box should say "search store". Also confirm that both your iPhone and iTunes on your computer are pointed to the same country's iTunes Store. Different countries' stores carry different items, so it's possible your computer is pointed to a different country's store. Look at the bottom of the iTunes window and make sure the round flag icon is the one for your country.
Maybe the App Shopper has all the same apps that are on my phone? I just looked, they say they have 1,000 apps. Is this a safe site to buy from?
App Shopper is not a store. The only store you can buy iPhone apps from is the iTunes Store. App Shopper is just a compendium site that lists apps that are available in the iTunes Store. When you click to buy an app, you're taken to the iTunes Store.

No one is able to browse and buy Classical Music Works in iTunes 11 Store

Since the release of iTunes 11 no one is able to buy a specific work in Classical Music in iTunes Store. For example: in the following album https://itunes.apple.com/es/album/paganini-spohr-violin-concertos/id184747944 which one is the violin concerto from Paganini or Sphor? The problem which is new to this release of iTunes 11 Store is due the lack of composer column making iTunes Store completely useless.
By the way, if you search for the name of a composer who also are a musician the only albums which appears now listed at the store is the one in which the musician perform but not the ones which includes works performed by other artists. For example: if you search for Jorge Grundman you will see only one album listed but not "God' Sketches" performed by Brodsky Quartet (https://itunes.apple.com/es/album/gods-sketches/id512579127) which is an album completely written by me. Of course, I'm not the only one, every composer is suffering the same issue
I have written to Apple Feedback and Apple Customer Support to report this issue in order to be solved as soon as possible. Please, bump this thread to call the attention of Apple iTunes Store team.

Apple Support does not have any solution for this issue and recognize the problem. I have send a feedback also to Apple. But what it is absolutely true is that the people behind the iTunes team does not match with the classical music.
So if you wish to buy piano trios in classical music from several composers at the same time and in the same disc you need to know that Apple kidnapped Beethoven!: you never see his name toogether with his works.
Is it culture? Is it a bug? Is it intentional?

HT201272 why is itunes app store still showing prices for previous purchases?

I have not had this problem until recently. prior to today, I could go into iTunes App Store and a show or movie I already own is available for download but now it shows the cost. I dare click on it for fear of being double billed. This is frustrating because iTunes just started allowing us to access our purchased content without connecting to the computer and downloading them as often as we wanted. Is this problem affecting others or just me?

I started having the same problem yesterday.
In fact, I just now downloaded a free app. With the app now on my PC, it still shows that it is "free" rather than "downloaded" on the iTunes app page. I moved the .jpa file out of the default folder, and refreshed the app page in iTunes. Similarly, it does not show a "download" option like it should. It makes re-downloading apps that I have paid for in the past difficult if there is not the "download" bar to indicate that I am entitled to the app.
It's probably related, but at one point last night I had a bunch of apps with available updates. I tried to go to the iTunes page on my PC to view the apps with updates. At that point I got a pop-up window stating that I did not have any updates available, and it has been zero ever since. I did not download the updates, nor did all of the apps disappear from the iTunes catalog.
I have an iPad 2 and recently got an iPod Touch. I want to re-download some non HD apps for the Touch that I ditched for HD versions on the iPad. I, too, do not want to be re-billed.

Angle Bar Solutions Movie Maker app for the iPhone is being miss-sold.
It is advertised as having Time-Lapse capabilities but it does not have these.
When I write a review to warn others the review gets posted before the one saying that all previous reviews are irrelevant as an update has added the functionality.
There is no update!
The app cannot do Time-Lapse!
I want a refund and I want Apple to remove the app from iTunes App Store.

Problem in connecting to iTunes/Music Store PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I can't connect to the itnues music store and get the following error message when I try:
itunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
If anyone could give me advice on what to do I would be very grateful!!!! Oh, you might have to explain things in very simple terms. My IT knowledge is pretty basic.

Price Difference: Out of box w/ Missing Accessories vs Out of box w/o Missing Accessories?

Ok, so I need some help.
Last night, I purchased a Samsung 55" TV out of box. When I went home to install my brand new (used) TV. It was missing the power cord! After further examination, it was also missing the IR Extender Cable and the batteries.
On the label, it said it was "no missing accessories" but unfortunately, it was missing some key accessories to run the tv. I talked to the store and they were unable to provide me with the missing accessories and that I had to buy them individually and despite being labeled as "no missing accessories," that's the true cost of the TV.
My question, is that price correct, would there be a price difference if a out of box tv had all the accessories vs not having all the accessories?
I just want to make sure I paid the true value of the TV. As I see it, the TV may have been priced based on all the accessories but since the TV is missing accessories, the price of the TV may be different.
Your thoughts?

Open box items should be marked appropriately for any missing pieces or accessories, and then priced accordingly. Price difference between the requisition and the order

Hi All,
There is new functionality in ERP6 that checks the difference in price price between the requisition and the order. The configuration is under Purchase Requisition -> Tolerance Limits -> Define Tolerance Keys. This is very useful functionality when the requistion item is approved at an estimated price, but a purchasing group needs to change the $ value it will block the Purchase Order.
I have this configuration menu available in SPRO in one of my systems (IDES), however on a newly installed ERP6 system we are missing this menu path in SPRO.
Does anyone know why this menu path in SPRO is missing on some systems...

I've done some digging and the tables that store these config settings are part of US Federal Governement addons.
Looks like all the (non government) sites that need it aren't able to have it. Great shame really as this would be very useful to communicate with the requestor whena price difference occurs.
