Sorry to bring up the thorny issue of money. I'm wondering why it is that other product prices are being discounted, yet Adobe products seem immune from the worldwide trend. I would like to purchase a copy of Adobe Illustrator CS4 upgrade for the Mac. I'm looking for a price reduction of 30% and free shipping please Adobe. I know, I know, pigs might fly. But when I see one overhead, I'll ditch my CS2 version quicker than you can say Happy New Year, and place my upgrade order! Best wishes to all for 2009.

The computers are discounted, but the mobile devices (iPad, iPod, iPhone) are not discounted (never have been to my memory). You guy online just as always. When using the education store, I've never had to prove my affiliation, but I don't know about the government store.
You can also get the same discount in a birck-n-mortar Apple Store, you just have to ask for it.

I will tell you in detail.
If you are giving discount for a prticular material through K004. Go to controls of K004. In that mark the ' condition update ' in MASTER DATA box. Then create a record through VK11 for K004. Before saving it select that line item and click F7 (additional sales data). Give 25 in ' Max. number of orders ' in LIMITS FOR PRICING box. Then this condition record will execute for only first 25 orders i.e., for first 25 customers only.

I will be making a big purchase of 3-4 large kitchen appliances for my new home, but I am concerned about the upcoming "Black Friday" price discounts. Congratulations on your new home! While normally you are able to do a thirty day price match guarantee on Appliances, our Thanksgiving weekend sales are exempt from price matching. This would include trying to obtain a price match on a previous purchase.

Is there a student discount for Photoshop CS6?

I am slightly confused about this, looking for an answer on my own I went through this process:
I found the page for the Creative Suite 6 Products, and on the right side it says "CS6 or Creative Cloud? If you want all-new versions of your favorite creative software — including Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC — join Creative Cloud. If you prefer the previous version, CS6, you can purchase it here. For upgrade eligibility and purchasing options, see the Creative Suite 6 FAQ."
So, I went to the Creative Suite 6 FAQ, where I saw the question, "Does Adobe offer education discounts?" with the answer, "Yes. Qualifying full- or part-time students, faculty, and staff of accredited educational institutions can purchase Adobe products at a reduced price." So, I poked around on the checkout page for Adobe Photoshop CS6, but there seemed to be no way to apply an education discount. I then clicked the Purchasing FAQ link on the checkout page, next the Education FAQ link, and from there the student and teacher product catalog under purchase options, but Creative Suite 6 is not listed in any form. The only options presented on the page are Creative Cloud Membership, Photoshop CC, Photoshop Lightroom, Creative Cloud Photography Plan, Photoshop Elements 13 & Adobe Premiere Elements 13, and Photoshop Elements 13.
Is there another spot with other student discounts, is the CS6 FAQ misleading and there's not really a student discount for CS6, or am I missing something else?

Discount for online number available?

Hello,
I am thinking about purchasing a Skype online number for my UK business.
At the moment, it says on Skypes website that there is a 50% discount for existing subscribers. I think this does not apply to me because this would be my first online number.
But I remember that there was some offer a while ago where you were able to receive credit towards your other subscriptions when buying an online number.
Can anybody please help and tell me what is the best and cheapest way to get the online number or if there are any promotions or discounts currently available , hidden on Skype's website??

Price uplift for item groups

I want to uplift my selling price by some percentage based on the purchase price list for a group of items. When I try to do this under price list, I get the following error
Unable to update basic price list or rounding method for selection criteria item [Message 3506-11]
Can this be achieved using special pricing? If yes, then How?
Any suggestions are appreciated

Are you referring to Special prices for Business partner --Add items using the items groups or properties and copy discount to all customers?
If yes, I also setup discount based on the customer property and item property and this will not work if the Special prices for Business partner applies?

Volume discount for whole month

I am having one querry,
i maintain the time dependent condition Volume discount (zvls),
For EX:
I want to calculate the zvls for aspecific period,
suppose i created 10 nos of purchase order, post a GR and also settled the payment for that vendor in 1 month period,
now my purchased quantity is reaced 500 Kg and i set a discount quantity based
Qty       Disc
100       20 Rs
200       22 Rs
500       25 Rs
Now i want to take the discount from vendor,
what i suggest that its only possible only in credit memo against that vendor with all other values taken manually.
But they want to pick the condition for whole month automatically and calculate the discount for quantity for that period.
plz suggest.

I had also once faced with the same problem but i am unable to provide a solution to my client. Instead if you configure the rebate agreement settings and process a rebate agreement for the same to avail the discount.
Also you can have multiple line items of the same material in the PO with the varying price. But this is quite manual and tedious too.

Set Default Price List for a BP

How can we set a default price list for business partners of type customer?

RIcky, Whatever you set in the PaymentTerms->list is the default list for that customer.
If you want default for all customers perhaps to make it easier while you create a new customer, I would just pull up a customer right click and duplicate. Hopefully you have original customer's price list there.
Admin->SystemInit->Document Setting has default Base price used for profit calculations.
It is little dangerous to assign default price list to all customers, as by mistake, they may end up getting discounts they are not supposed to get!

Which NVIDIA graphics card for CS4 & CS5.5 Premiere?

I just upgraded to CS5.5 Production Premium but I'm still using XP 32bit. That means I had to load the CS4 version of Premiere and After Effects. Sooner or later I'll upgrade to 64bit Win but in the mean time which graphics card will give me the best bang for the buck and still be useful for CS5.5 later? Money isn't an issue, I just don't want to pay for something and not benefit from it. What's worse is Adobe doesn't even list cards newer than the 8800 and Quadro FX for CS4! Weren't GTX cards available before CS5 came out? Do I need to update a file in CS4 apps to make them accept cards for GPU processing?
Adobe and NVIDIA keep pushing the Quadro cards but when you look at the benchmarks it looks like the GTX cards do just as well. I will use the system for gaming sometimes so DX11 is a must. I have a watercooled i7 920 OC @ 4.0GHz and very stable, temps never go above 60C under full load. I have 6GB RAM and use a memory handler to access the RAM over what XP can use, and use it for virtual mem and caches etc. But my current graphics card is a slightly OC'd 9800GT w/512MB. My system doesn't like to scrub video that isn't rendered unless it's at lower resolutions and obviously I'd like rendering to be as fast as possible.
Looking around I see:

GTX480 @ $300
GTX570 @ $300
GTX580 @ $460
Quadro 4000 @ $550

So what's the secret? Where's the sweet spot?

So you're saying on Win32 and CS4 Pr, Ae, AME, the graphics card doesn't matter at all? That I won't see any improvement over my 512MB 9800GT?
If I was to narrow it down even farther, the most important aspect would be in the "preview" performance. I can always render when I'm not using the system but sometimes the preview windows hang while working on a project. The problem worsens as the resolution increases or as the project gets more complicated. I had the same problem with PP1.5 which is why I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to see if a newer version would help.
Cooling isn't an issue as long as a water block is available for my next card. I've read the 570 & 580 may be the same reference layout and use the same coolers, I'm still looking into that. I know I can liquid cool the 480, 560TI, 580. I have no idea about the Quadro's, I've never seen a block for those.
I'd like to go to Win64 but other software etc is keeping me from getting there soon. I'm looking into dual booting but have read about lots of problems with folder/file sharing issues when going from XP to Win7. I keep all files/projects on a seperate drive and some are shared over a network. If MS hasn't solved the sharing issues I'm forced to stick with XP. I have too many files that need read/write access and Win7 is stated to set all shares to read only. I'm still researching if it's been resolved.
So it's important to know if anything will help CS4 because as stated above, it'll make more sence to wait for the next gen cards for use in CS5.5.
The bottom line is, I built this system from the ground up just a few years ago before Win64 was so popular. I used the very best components (the 9800GT is actually the lowest componet I bought because gaming wasn't that important at the time). I'm running steady overclocked @ 4.0 and boot from an SSD drive. The data drives are 7200RPM and I bought the fastest RAM I could at the time. Obviously people were editing happily a few years ago on equipment inferior to mine. What's the catch? What am I missing to run smoothly on Win32? I'm assuming it's the graphics card because it's the only place I skimped. Maybe I have a software conflict keeping any version of Pr from working smoothly.
Being 3 gens behind, and mediocre at that, I thought the card might be a good place to start.

Discount for the system / not for the components

At our case, the company sells machines. Some of the machines are systems which are made up with the combination-assembly of other machines. These systems are created-presented on SAP by an upper level material. There is no pricing fpr these upper-level machines-systems. There stand material BOMs which are created by the code CS01 for those systems. The price of those systems come from the sum of the price of the components. As I mentioned before, there is no price for the system and the system's material code itself. Thisis provided by the item type customizations. We want to make a specific customer discount when the customer buys a system. This means that a discount will be valid for the components when only they are bought as a part of a system. But if they are bought one by one we don't want make discount. We want to make discount for system sellings. How can we do this?

Take Header pricing discount conditions
1.HA00 if you are giving discount in % or
2.HB00 if you are giving discount value based.
If you take Header conditions you need to enter the discount manually at sales order.
Other process is you take condition type K004 and maintain condition record for that Header material (System).

No discount for anyone. If you can upgrade your hardware to Mavericks, then it will cost you $20 bucks.

Discount for High school students

I think it's really cool that college students get discount for spotify but it would be great if high school students could get the same thing , it would be amazing to being playing music wherever we want for a low price and since I find spotify better than pandora. $5 is extremely affordable for high school students and a lot would sign up for that price if that was an option

I agree 100% $9.99 per month is kind of steep when you have a $9.10 /h job and paying for gas/insurance/food/housing/etc... I don't have anything handed to me at all. Sure my parent's will buy me a see's candy once in a while, but I am paying for most of my things now. My job pays for ~~ 90% - 95% of my necesities. that would leave me short.

For sure in courses there will be no discounts for oracle advantage partner companies that too for an individual attending the training in public batch. But if you company want to arrange a private training through Oracle University then they may give discount but your company should arrange minimum 6 candidates to attend the training.
But you can get benifited with one new features...If you attend any Oracle 10g DBA Workshop I or Oracle 10g DBA Workshop II training through oracle university then they are providing a free exam voucher for the exam.
