Price from Real Item in MDM Catalog is not copied to PO in SRM 5.0

Dear All,
We have issue in SRM 5.0 , fully completed SC from MDM Catalogue (Real item - Vendor , Price ), but while converting to PO . The price is not getting copied in PO.
We are not sure whether any settings/configuration is missing in MDM or SRM (related to MDM Catalgue)

I am from SAP Basis background.
Currently we have a project to go live on internet. Hence we are changing our link to internet links.
We are currently facing some concerns for MDM Catalog.
We have updated correct URL of internet in
SAP Implementation->SAP SRM-> SRM Server->Master Data->Content Management-> Define external web services ->
Once respective entries are maintained and then go to portal
after click on MDM Catalog we receive below login details for MDM server.
I believe here catalog should be present.
We are stuck at these point and not sure what configuration needs to be change.

SRM-MDM Catalog: Images not shown in search ui - only placeholder visible

Hello Expert,
we have the problem, that the images, which we imported into the repository using the Data Manager are not shown in the search ui. The image is visible in the Data Manager and assigned to a product.
If I make a right-click on the image in the brower, I get a URL like this

Item line with category TAD not copied from Sales order to delivery

Hello,
we have a sales order with one line item with line item category TAN and one line item with line item category TAD.
When we deliver the sales order, only the line item with category TAN will be copied into the delivery. So there is only one line item in the delivery, but we need both to be copied.
I checked VTLA and the header entry LF delivery OR standard order has both line items on item level.
Setting on header level:
Order requirements: 001
Combination requirement 051
Header Data: 001
Header Data ext Sys 0
Handling Units: 000
Copy item number: unchecked
Any suggestions?

From line item text field in Fi not posted to COPA characteristic field?

How do you create the link from the Line item Text field in FI to a characteristic field in COPA?
I tried to create a characteristic field Text. from the domain VBELN in COPA.
Although I can post from CRM the contract number to the Line itemText field in FI posting,
I can't get this contract number to post to a characteristic field in COPA.

Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to", and "itunes could not copy to the ipod because the file could not be read or written" WTH?

I recently bought my son who is special needs an iPod shuffle gen 4 and nothing but complications. I kept getting error message saying it could not be read from or written to. Then it would not even charge up. I let ig charge on computer for 6 hours it turned green. Then I went to check it out and it went to orange then nothing. So, I took it back to the storea and got another. I am home excited for my son and nothing it is doing the same thing! Someone please help me I am ready to swear off iPod period!

I had this issue and couldn't figure out what it was for the life of me. I am running windows 7 and the latest version of itunes. I tried multiple reinstalls of itunes and restores of the ipod. I finally got it fixed by following this guide.

Apparently there was an issue with my .dll files. Hope this helps.

Why does text I copy from a .pdf to a Word document, not copy correctly words containing the combinations 'tt' or 'ti'?

When I copy text from a .pdf to a Word document, all words containing the combination 'tt' or 'ti' come up as blank boxes,or question marks. How can I correct this?

To comment a bit further, several letter combinations like tt and ti as well as many combinations with f are given as a single character in some languages and apparently you do not have that special character on your system.

Header Item of Sales BOM is not copied into second delivery

Hi Gurus
I have an issue to be solved immediately. Please help me to fix this.
I have a Sales BOM in order with components exploded (The Header Item has 5 Components). The pricing is maintained at header level. The order is created with a quantity of 5.
Schedule lines in the order show that quantity of 3 is available immediately and another 2 are available in another one week.
Due to availability of material/confirmed quantity, first outbound delivery is created (VL01N) with reference to the order for a quantity of 3. In the delivery, Picking & PGI was done for this delivery.
My issue is: When I go to create the second outbound delivery with reference to the above same order, for the remaining quantity of 2, I can see 5 components displayed, BUT NOT THE HEADER ITEM IN THE DELIVERY. My client wants to see the header item as well in the delivery as it is sent to freight carrier.
Please guide me to fix this.

But you have already delivered the header item Let's say your header item is number 10 and your increment is 10. Create item 11 with the header material and delete the exploded BOM. Now you have a new header item to deliver with the remaining 2 pieces of your BOM materials.

Updating net price in ECC PIR to update MDM catalog price

Hi Experts,
We are using ECS in SRM 7 , and ECC 6
We have done a workaround and we push our ECC PIR to MDM catalog, The SRM requesters pick the material from the catalog, and the vendor and vendor price gets attached in the SRM SC.
We want that the net price in ECC PIR should change as per the last PO. Once this net price changes in the PIR, this price will go to the MDM catalog and will update the price , so that the requester can create the SC with latest price.
Therefore, please suggest me ways to change my ECC PIR net price as per the last PO

Hi Jason,
We have been able to acheive the functionality. We have written written an enhancement in program of meccm ECC t-code, which enable to pick up the price .
The logic is :
If there is no entry in table EIPA for a info-record number and P. Org, Info record extraction program RM06CCMEXP (T code Meccm ) in ECC , should send the net price field (EINE-NETPR)
If there is are any entries in table EIPA for a info-record number and P. Org, Info record extraction program RM06CCMEXP (T code Meccm ) in ECC should loop in the EIPA table, select last entry and send the Net price field (EIPA-PREIS)

Scaled Price in MDM Catalog

Dear MDM Experts,
What is the method to create scaled price for an item in MDM? For Example if you buy 1 pc of pen = 1/pcs; if you buy 10 pcs the price is just 0,98/pcs; if you by 100 or more, the price is 0,95/pcs. In CCM it can be solved, is it in the MDM too?

You can use the concept of validations in data manager.In validation tab you can write the expression as:
If count=1 price =1
elseif count=10 price =.98
else count=100 price =.95

SRM5.0 with MDM Catalog

Hi,
I would like to know following questions :-
1, Do I need to replicate/bring master data (vendor, product category, material) from ECC6.0 to MDM Catalog if I need to implement MDM Catalog? Already SRM is having master data (replicated from ECC6.0).
2. I believe in CCM2.0 I don't have to replicate master data and just need to upload catalog. CCM was able to use SRM server master data,
3. My client is usuing MDM extensively and when we go for MDM Catalog, will it be totally seperate system from MDM SAP they are usuing?

Hello Michelle,
When you download the business content of SRM-MDM then you will find the MDM installables also.
This does not mean that you have to install the seperate instance of MDM Server.
It is not necessary that you have to use the seperate instance of MDM Server for the MDM Catalog Scenario.
But If you can use the seperate instance of MDM Server for SRM-MDM Catalog then you can, it will be good.
Just match the version of MDM installables which is in the Business content of SRM-MDM Catalog with the version of MDM Server which you are using. this is because of the business content contains some scar files to be deployed on WAS which is dependent on the MDM Server version. So check If both are same than you can use the same MDM Server for SRM-MDM Catalog Scenario.
For the verion mapping of SRM-MDM Catalog with MDM 5.5, you can refer the following SAP Notes:
Version mapping SRM-MDM Catalog 1.0 to SAP MDM 5.5--> 1082069
Version mapping SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 to SAP MDM 5.5--> 1083126

Pull price from second price list

Hi Everyone
We have an issue where one customer wants the price from their pricelist and the price from the standard pricelist.
It's not the same discount on each item so I can't just create a pricing condition for the customer.
So what I was hoping to be able to do is run the Quote as normal using the customers pricelist in the final amount column.
Then on the smartform I was going to write some code to pull the price from our standard pricelist into its own column.
Problem is that I haven't been able to find the tables or how to get from pricelist to material price

I'm not an SD person so I may be using the wrong terminology or I could have misunderstood how this works
What I mean by price list is when you creating a quote if you go to the header details under the SALES tab there is a box PRICING AND STATISTICS with a drop down box for choosing a different price list. Or you can go to the ITEM DATA under the SALES B tab there is a drop down box for PRICE LIST for the item. Which I thought was where the document got the price for the materials (but I could have misunderstood).
Here we have an option of what we use for a standard price lets call it the US price list
Or we can select a price list for this specific customer lets call it C price list.
I want the document to use the C price list to determine the price for each material.
Normally we have some pricing conditions for a customer discount which we use like so using the standard price list US price list then apply the customer discount conditions to get the net price. Either that or discount can be set for the customer that is applied to everything at the same flat rate. Which I was told was the normal way to do things.
So the document has a unit price then applies whatever kind of discount to get the net price, which both print on the output to show the difference.
Now what we want since this customer buys so many different materials from us and the discounts is in a range from 0 to 20% (i think) for each material. We want to us the price list C in the document apply no flat rate discount and no pricing condition discounts. Then on the output we want to pull the net price from the document as normal. But on the output instead of pulling the unit price from the document (which would be the same as the net price) we want to pull the UNIT PRICE from the US price list. That way for this customer the user entering the quote will not have to add the correct discount % pricing conditions to each material on every quote.
So what I was wanting to do in the smartform was use the material number entered in the document to go get the price from the US price list but I'm having trouble finding the tables which I can do this in.

I need to do a integration between SRM 5 and SRM-MDM-Catalog using XI.
I imported the SRM-MDM-Catalog packages into the XI and I saw that all connections with MDM are using FTP in the comunnication channel template.
Is it possible to do connections for MDM using http or soap?

As far as I know using Files is how XI interacts with MDM. All scenarios I have seen on SDN have been with File adapter being used on MDM 's side.
Maybe there is a way , am watching this thread as well.

Music from iTunes went to Win Med Player not iPhone

I have purchased music from iTunes with iPhone connected to PC, and msg appears ... ie... 'Some of the items in iTunes library were not copied to iPhone because they could not be found'... YET I have found them in my Win Media Player list, over 100 of them and they do play so.. how do I get them onto my iPhone. Not all purchased are syncing onto iPhone. I have tried to drag and drop, but msg then comes up... file not found. Help please... thanks

It sounds like the files are on your hard drive, but not in your iTunes library. Find the files (WMP apparently knows where they are) and drag them into the open iTunes Music Window. This will cause iTunes to create a library entry for them. The next time you sync your phone iTunes will know where they are.
