Price went up after I had pre-ordered

Hi. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Take That's new album 'III' on New Zealand itunes on 23rd Nov. The price was $17.99 when I put my order. However, I am astonished to find that the price has gone up to $21.99 today!
I am worried because in the 'Manage pre-order' page there is nothing about the price, so I don't know whether I will be charged for $17.99 or $21.99. If It is to be $21.99, then what's the meaning of a pre-order?
I have already sent off an e-mail to apple support team, but since the album is going to be released in two days in New Zealand, I'm afraid of not receiving an answer by then. So I'd like to know is there any one who had similar experience and what's your solution to the problem?

Antony,
When you pre-order, you are doing the deal at the "pre-order price."  It does not matter if the price in the store later changes.  See iTunes Store: About pre-orders - Apple Support
In the unlikely event that you experience a problem when the item is released, contact iTunes Customer Service then.

  • After canceling a pre-order from iTunes I don't have the money credit back

I recently pre-ordered an album from iTunes on my iPod Touch. (gift card)
After about a week I decided that I'd rather get the actual physical disk from the store once it's released, so I canceled the pre-order and  I was told by the iTunes store that I would get the credit back after a cancellation, but to my surprise I haven't gotten the credit back. It's already been a day since the cancellation and I haven't gotten anything back, not even an email from iTunes witch I always get after every transaction.
Please help me out, Thanks! :-)

  • Pre-Order Price Adjusted without GCU discount

I had pre-ordered a 3DS game awhile back and the original price had been $39.99.  With the Gamer's Club Unlocked discount, my discounted price was $31.99.  The price of the game eventually lowered to $29.99.  Once my order ({Removed per Forum Guidelines}) shipped, my price was adjusted from $31.99 to $29.99.  Shouldn't it be adjusting to $23.99 to account for the GCU discount?

    Hi again brandonjf72,
Like enuf mentioned, your Gamers' Club Unlocked discount should have automatically applied to your order, even after the lower launch week pricing had been taken into consideration. No need to worry though! I've had the chance to review your order and it looks like the missing difference was credited earlier today. If you haven't already done so, I'd encourage you to check both your inbox and junk mail folders for a message confirming this adjustment. Please also keep in mind that the funds may not post to the paying card right away -- the exact timeframe required varies by financial institution.
Thanks for being a Gamers' Club Unlocked member, as well as for ordering with us!

  • MGS: V Pre-order/price drop

    Hello,
I pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - PlayStation 4 when it was $39.99 and it recently dropped in price to $29.99.  My pre-order included other items and I used a reward zone certificate on the order.  The total for the game after 20% GCU discount was $31.99 and then -$10.48 for the distributed reward zone certificate.
What I need to know is, do I need to cancel and reorder?  Or will I be refinded the difference somehow by letting the order go through completely?  The way I see it, the total should now be $13.51 after GCU discount and RZC.
Please let me know if you need the order number or any other information.  Thank you for your time.
    Best regards,
    -Andrew

    Hi andrewcounty,
Good question! Whenever you pre-order an item on BestBuy.com and a price change occurs prior to release, you'll always receive the lower of the two prices. Any applicable GCU discounts and My Best Buy certificates will then be applied to the lower sale price when your order is shipped or picked up at your local store. For additional information though I'd encourage you to check out our Pre-order FAQ:
    BestBuy.com > Help Center > Pre-orders

    I hope this helps.

  • Pre-Ordering a book, give price guarantee?

I was thinking of Pre-ordering a book in the iBooks store. The price is kinda high, If i Pre-order it and the price comes down before release will I get that price? Or am I locked into the price that I originally Pre-ordered it at?

You are charged when the book is released and you download it - between pre-ordering and it being released you could cancel the pre-order, so you are only charged on release.

  • Gaming Pre-orders and Gamers Club Unlocked

Everytime I pre-order a game, I'm charged the full price (minus the deposit) when I go to pick it up. I purchased Gamers Club Unlocked last October and should be getting 20% off until October 2016.
The first time I tried to use the promotion on a pre-order was last November (less than a month from purchasing the service). I pre-ordered a game that had the 500 Rewards points promotion for pre-order and purchase. When I went to pick up the game, I was charged in full. I told the associate that I had GCU, so he had to adjust the price manually. I'm not sure about all the math but it deducted points from that 500 point promotion.
The last time I went to pick up a pre-ordered game was 2 days ago; I also had a $5 reward certificate with me. Once again, 20% was not taken off the purchase so the associate asked for help from a few others. After about 15 minutes and a couple voids. They had to treat the pre-order as a normal purchase and refund me the $5 pre-order deposit. That's fine seeing as there really was no pre-order bonus on this particular item.
I'm just asking: do I have to go through this everytime I pre-order a game at Best Buy?

    Greetings WN_Orlais,
It is strange that you would have such difficulties with receiving your Gamers Club Unlocked benefits if it is appropriately attached to your My Best Buy membership. Receiving these benefts, especially when pre-ordering games, should be a painless process, and I'm sorry to hear it hasn't been for you.
Using the information registered with the forum, I see that your Gamers Club Unlocked membership appears to be attached appropriately. With having said that, I'm sorry to say I can't speak as to why you have encountered these issues.
I do see that when you originally went to pickup your most recent pre-order, that you did receive the Gamers Club Unlocked discount, and that your My Best Buy certificate was applied. However, this transaction left off your pre-order deposit, which led to the chain of reprocessing the transaction a few times to get it sorted out. I apologize for any hassle that this has caused.
If you continue to experience trouble with pre-ordering, please let us know so that we may look further into this with you!
    Sincerely,

  • Itunes Movie pre-orders - NOT WORKING

I purchased SALT via Pre-order. I was finally able to get it to download, but was charged the full price and not the pre-order price. I also pre-ordered Resident Evil and the links do not work to download my order.
I am able to log into the store and down load other items, so it is not an issue with my account, connection, login, or permissions on my mac.
Any ideas? I see others are having similar issues with other pre-orders as well.

I was having the same problem and only just now I went into iTunes, then the iTunes Store and selected 'Account' in the Quick Links menu on the right-hand side, it popped up and asked me to re-login, so I did and low and behold I got a pop-up message stating that I had pre-orders ready for download and if I wished to download them now to click "Ok", so I did and my stalled pre-orders came to life and started downloading... wish Apple could improve on this but now I'm happier they're downloading

  • Can't download a pre-ordered book on iPad

I got the e-mail telling me that a book I had pre-ordered was available  for download. When I tap on the link in the e-mail, iBooks launches and asks me for my password. However, the keyboard is grayed out so that I can't enter anything. Going to purchased items shows the book as pre-ordered but doesn't have any way to download. This has happened with the last 8 or 10 books I have pre-ordered. I tried killing and re-starting iBooks and then killing and re-booting the iPad. Neither worked. I then contact Apple support. They had me re-set all settings on my iPad. When that didn't work, their next suggestion was to delete and re-install ibooks. Neither of those solutions worked either. Now, they suggest that I do a restore of the iPad and re-install everything. I think there has to be a less drastic solution. Quite frankly, that solution is worse than the problem. So has anyone seen this behoavior before and know of a less drastic solution? (My work around is to download the book on my Mac at home and then I can either download it on the iPad or sync. Not as convenient as downloading it directly but much less painful than a re-set to factory state.)

    Hi again,
i just looked at this same book (that I received a pre-order download email for today) on my iPhone 5 and it was already downloaded - it never asked for the password. I opened the book and it is all there. Then I went back to iBooks on the iPad and the book was still sitting waiting to be downloaded, but this time when I hit the download icon and it asked for a password the keyboard was not grayed out so I could download.
Strange that each time I tried the download BEFORE looking at the same item on the iPhone the iPad grayed the keyboard, but worked AFTER accessing the book on the iPhone.
Also strange that the iPhone downloaded automatically but the iPad did not.

  • Should've PRE ordered my iPhone 5 through sprint... I'd have it tomorrow.... NOT HAPPY that I ordered through apple...

So I pre ordered my iPhone 5-- 15 minutes after pre orders started online at 2 am (central time) and pre ordered a black 16 gb iPhone with a delivery date of 9-21 (which is fairly common I guess for most people that ordered that early)
Literally an hour AFTER I pre ordered my iphone 5 on APPLE- my husband decides last second he wants me to pre order him one if there's any left... of course Apple's pre order delivery date had been pushed to 2-3 weeks an hour after pre orders had opened at 2 am, so I quickly logged onto SPRINT's website and noticed they still had some available for 9/21 delivery so I pre ordered him the same iPhone as me....
Well I am wondering if ANY one that ordered through Apple has gotten their iPhone SHIPPED yet- because my order is STILL being processed for shipment and my HUSBANDS iPhone 5 I had pre ordered through SPRINT is going to be delivered by TOMORROW....
*** is that about?? I thought I was making a smart decision and would get my iPhone FASTER by pre ordering through the SOURCE of the iPhone.... NOT A CELL PHONE CARRIER... I am BEYOND mad that an hour after ordering mine at the butt crack of dawn I ordered my husbands phone and his will be here 3 DAYS BEFORE release day!? MINE HASNT EVEN SHIPPED........
    >:( LAST time I EVER order directly through Apple for a phone... EVER...

I was trying to order through Sprint first at 12am PST but couldn't get on their website.  Finally at 12:30am the Apple site worked for me so I went through them.  My mom ordered two phones from Verizon at the exact same time(both lines had an upgrade available).  One of the orders got an error on it and Verizon could not tell her why when she called them this morning.  They had her cancel her order and replace the order, she did and the sales rep she talked to her supposedly put her back in line where she was and assured her that she would recieve both phones on Friday, so we shall see.

  • Pre Order Concerns, Fall Out 4 Pipboy Edition XBOX One

Once the Pipboy edition was announced I went into the store and pre-ordered. The SKU was working in store when this happened, however turns out that it was online only so I returned the next day and the young lady at customer service who made the original order took care of me, and assured me everything was golden. Now, I have not received a confirmation email, the same girl says there may be an issue, and it doesn't appear that I have been charged eventhough I have a receipt that clearly states that I have pre-ordered and paid in full. I will be extremely dissapointed in Best Buy if this falls through. I ordered twice before they were sold out and it is rediculous that I am not being taken care of in any way by a company that I hold in high regard. Extremely dissapointed, irritated and not really wanting to hear excuses. The worst part is I directed two other friends, who both despise Best Buy, to BB online for pre orders because other stores had sold out. They are taken care of now and here I am with uncertainty. Please someone help. Don't let this be my first horror story and reason to not like BB anymore.

    Hi ScruffMcBuff,
As a pretty big fan of the Fallout series myself, I can honestly understand where you’re coming from if your Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 was cancelled. Normally, I would suggest simply replacing your pre-order, but as you’re likely aware, these are sold out and I truly don’t think we’ll be obtaining any more of these. I’m very sorry for the frustration that you clearly have because of this.
I was able to locate your order and between the notes on the order, as well as your contacts to us, I can immediately recognize why this order was cancelled. After reviewing your recent contacts further, it appears as though the reasoning has also been communicated to you. With that said, if you need further details, please send me a private message via the link in my signature and I’ll be happy to speak further on this.
Again, I do apologize if you were unable to secure a copy of the Pip Boy Edition.
    Sincerely,

  • Can i pre-order the galaxy s6 before my upgrade date?

I want to pre-order the Galaxy S6 but my upgrade date is after the pre-order date. I am able to pre-order it before my date and get the price of a new 2 year contract? The devices ship on the April,10th,2015 and pre-orders start on the first, but my upgrade is the 6th. Basically I am asking if I can pre-order and take advantage of the new contract price or if I should just pre-order when my upgrade date arrives.

You can upgrade 7 days prior to your upgrade date so you will be able to pre-order it on the 1st.

  • Stick of Truth Pre-Order In-Store Missing

So, the Stick of Truth has launched!  I had pre-ordered this game for the PC some time ago, and when I went in on the 4th to pick it up, the store said they hadn't received any PC copies.  Additionally, none of the stores in the whole Illinois area had them.  Two days later, nothing seems to have changed, and no one is able to give me an ETA or anything.  Is there any word on PC pre-orders for this title?

    Hello Alex,
Thank you pre-ordering from Best Buy!  I'm very sorry to hear you've had trouble retrieving your South Park: The Stick of Truth game for PC.
I'd be happy to look into this with you, and will send you a message so I can gather more information.  To check your messages, log into the forum and click on the envelope in the upper right corner.

  • Has Anyone Created a Successful Pre-Order Page?

I've submitted my second book, and still, I'm unable to get the pre-order function to work. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding it?
I assume that if I allow pre-orders when I create my package in iTunes Producer, that after I upload all my assets, etc., and they successfully import, that a pre-order page for that book should appear on iTunes.
However, for both of my books, this has not happened. They still are pending approval, but there has never been any sort of pre-order page on iTunes in the bookstore.
Has anyone successfully created a pre-order for one of their books titles? I've tried contacting Apple but only get a generic response that doesn't really explain anything. ; (

There is a related thread here:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3811505?start=0&tstart=0
You can set a pre-order start date for each territory in iTunes Producer. According to the iTunes Producer 2.6 User Guide, the date must be earlier than the sales start date. If you don't want to offer pre-order, you are supposed to leave that date blank.
The user guide says that, if you set a pre-order date, the publication will not be shown in the store until that date. It does not say that, if you set that date, the book will be shown starting on that date (or any date before it becomes available, for that matter).
The user guide also says the following:
Important: Pre-orders require minimal manual production work by iTunes. When you deliver a book that is
available for pre-order, contact your iTunes Technical Account Manager. Pre-orders must conform to the
    following specifications:
All assets (EPUB, iBooks format, cover art, and screenshot files) are due up front.
You can only create pre-orders with the first, initial delivery of the book package.
You cannot make any changes to the pre-order once you deliver a book package to the iBookstore with
    a Pre-Order Start Date.
Each territory where you are sending a pre-order (each territory where you defined a pre-order start
date) must be priced at a valid price tier.
Do not send pre-order start dates for territory products that have been marked not cleared for sale. Only
deliver book packages with pre-order start dates assigned for territory products that are cleared for sale.
Given the current track record in getting books into the store, I would guess that pre-order is something that would only happen for blockbuster titles from large publishers, where actually a significant volume of pre-orders can be expected. For the pre-order to go through into the store, someone still has to review the book, which isn't worth doing for something that sells a few dozen copies a month.
    Michi.

  • HT5714 Pre-Orders are not downloading for days at a time?

I have received the email stating that my Pre-Order is ready for download, so went and did the 'Check for Available Downloads' and nothing, restarted iTunes and checked again and nothing, now it's the next day and still NOTHING??
The movie I'm referring to is the new "Hansel and Gretel: Which Hunters (2013)"

Only just now I decided to try something else and so went into iTunes, then the iTunes Store and selected 'Account' in the Quick Links menu on the right-hand side, it popped up and asked me to re-login, so I did and low and behold I got a pop-up message stating that I had pre-orders ready for download and if I wished to download them now to click "Ok", so I did and my stalled pre-orders came to life and started downloading... wish Apple could improve on this but now I'm happier they're downloading
