Prices auto adjusted when setting up BP Special Prices

In the BP Special Prices, based on different quantity, the user had set up prices accordingly. They would like the price to be fixed and not be adjusted.
If the Auto is checked in the Special Prices for BP, the Unit Price after Discount will varies. This is misleading to the supplier if they received the Purchase Order print.
If the Auto is unchecked, the Unit Price before Discount will varies. Again, this will be misleading to the AP Department when checking on the original price of the item.
Would like to maintain the price accordingly to what the user had setup without variations.

Dear Mr See,
According to my tests, when you untick the auto box the price does not vary even if the base price in the price list does vary.
If the customer does not want that the price changes according to the changes in the base price list, ask him/her to untick this box.
I am not sure why you refer to the Purchase Order print. Is the price in the Purchase Order stored in a price list? Is this price list considered as base price list for another one?

  • Turn off the Auto adjust when shooting tethered in aperture

is there any way to turn off the auto adjust feature in aperture? When I shoot tethered it over corrects and ruins all the shots, then I have to adjust back for the client to get a good idea of the image.

After the disaster of iTunes 11.1 that deleted nearly all my archived podcasts (recovered from backup thankfullly) I was shocked, but not altogether surprised, to see that the option to delete played episodes has been enabled/re-enabled by default.
From the lower right of the Podcasts window click Settings then, if needed, click Defaults, then turn Delete Played Episodes to Off.
Why set the destructive option as the default?
I have many episodes that I want to keep that are no longer available at their feed so the last thing I want is any automatic delete process to be enabled.

  • Videos are overlapping. Adobe not auto adjusting when moving the clip? Why?

I'm making a home movie with Adobe Premiere pro. I have a lot of videos clips I'm adding to the time line. I'm adding them all in Video 3, back to back. However, I have a new problem. My videos are starting to overlap each other, and its really hard to align them perfectly so their timing is right and complete. Adobe was doing this automatically for me before, like it would auto move/adjust my video to the ending of the video before it so it doesn't overlap when I would drag it. This feature just stopped working. Can someone tell me how to fix this? Also, I'm using adobe CS5.
    Thanks in advance!!!

OMG thank you soo much. It's all better now I'm such a noob, haha!

  • Business Partner Special Price Import - DTW

    Forum,
We have a number of special prices for Business Partners which we'd like to update. In some cases, we would like to remove the current special price and have the system pick up the unit price against an item within Item Master Data.
When importing through DTW using the OSPP template, we have entered '0' as the price. This correctly imports in through DTW and removes the special price however, when we then raise a sales order for that item. The unit price is zero and it hasn't picked up the unit price against the item within item master data.
Is this how it works or is there a setting we're perhaps missing? I have test this in the demo and it does pick up the unit price from item master. In our set of data, it does not.

  • Special price for BPs

    Hi experts,
I have created a special price for a BP based on trade price as price list and it is not on automatic mode, when I do sales order for this BP the unit price is same as trade price and the discount and price after discount comes from the special price as defined.
Now when I change the trade price for this item and do sales order then the unit price is not same as trade price, it is showing the old trade price,
Here my question is if I define special price and keep it on non auto mode, when there is a trade price change then where from the unit price comes at sales order? is it from special price?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgds
    Suman

    Hi Suman Roy...
    Special Price Use
Special prices can be used for the following scenarios:
You want to specify a special price for a customer when a particular item or an item from a particular item group is purchased. In this case, you specify a price that depends on the business partner.
You want to define special prices for an item that are to apply for particular periods of time. In this case, you specify a date-dependent price.
Depending on the quantity ordered, you want to assign a special price. If the quantity ordered is very large, you sell or buy an item at a lower price than with a small quantity. In this case, you specify a quantity-based price.
From time to time, you will also want to update all or particular special prices. You can do this, for example, by changing the discount for selected special prices. You can also select specific special prices and change only these prices. You can refer price list updates to the derived special prices. You may also want to delete particular special prices after a defined period of time. Once you have defined special prices for individual cases (that is, for a particular business partner), you can copy them to other business partners or groups of business partners according to various sets of rules.
If you want to refer discounts to particular item groups, items with particular properties, or manufacturers regardless of the business partner, you can define discount groups.
If you do not want special prices to depend on a business partner, you can also define special prices for a price list. These always apply if no special prices have been defined for a business partner. These special prices can also be defined on the basis of a particular date and/or quantity.
    Automatic Price Calculation
When you enter a business transaction, such as an outgoing invoice or a purchase order, the system calculates the price for an item automatically. The system proceeds as follows here:
The system first checks whether a special price has been defined for the item for this particular business partner. This special price could also be based on a particular date or quantity.
If no special price has been defined, the system checks whether a discount group has been defined for the business partner that can be applied to the item.
If no special price has been defined, the system checks whether a special price has been defined for the item (for the price list entered in the master record of the business partner), which once again can be based on a particular date or quantity.
If no special price has been defined, the system copies the price for the item from the price list entered in the master record of the business partner.
If a discount has been granted because of a special price, the discount is indicated in the detailed information of a line in the purchasing or sales document in the Discount % field.

  • Future Dated Special Prices

I have created a Special Price that does not go into affect until a future date. When the item associated with this special price is entered in an order for the BP, no price comes up. It appears that the existence of the special price stops SAP from looking elsewhere yet because the special price is not in affect yet relative to the date entered, no price is retrieved. The BP has a Discount Group that supports a price for the Item and the BP has a default price list. One would expect that SAP would look for a Special Price for the date on the order, not find it because of the date set in the Special Price,  and then go look at Discount Group and find the price there. I wouldn't expect that I would have to enter a line in the Special price to support the BP until the future date is reached. Bug or poor functionality?

    Hi Chris,
I'm not able to replicate that behaviour.  The system however doesn't operate quite as you expect, as special prices always override discount groups.  So when we set up a special price it has to have a price in the main special prices window as well as in the period discounts window.  then when you key an order, it will use the price from the special prices window over any discount group price until the period discount comes into effect.
Perhaps you have no price in the main special prices window?

  • Question about port-auto-adjust

    Good morning Tangosol,
In the operational config file does the cluster-config/unicast-listener/port-auto-adjust parameter apply soley to cluster-config/unicast-listener/port? Or does it also apply to the port numbers of any well-known-addresses that are defined as well? In other words, if port-auto-adjust is 'true' and you have well-known-addresses defined, will their respective port numbers auto-adjust as well?
    Thanks.
    Pete L.

    Pete,
The "port-auto-adjust" setting applies exclusively to the value of the "cluster-config/unicast-listener/port" element. When the port-auto-adjust is set to true, the cluster service will attempt to increment the local port number until it can successfully create (bind to) a UDP socket with that port. This significantly simplifies configuring multiple cluster nodes running on the same machine.

  • Report to show changes in special prices

    Hi All
We are having a problem currently where some users change the prices in the system and since the special prices table or price table does not have a log it makes it difficult to check who changed the prices from what price to what price and when.
So as a solution I am looking for a report or function that will alert me when there is any price change, or a log file that can log any price changes in the system.
    We are using SBO 8.81 A PL09

    Hi,
You've posted your question in the System Administration forum which is for system installation and configuration topics. Your question would be better placed in the reporting forum:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/business-one/reporting-and-printing/content?filterID=content~objecttype~objecttype[thread]
or in the general application forum:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/business-one/content
In answer to the question, I think you could probably create your own logging solution by creating a separate SQL table and using a script in the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification proc to insert a record in this table when a user updates a special price. The SBO client will pass the CardCode and ItemCode properties through in the proc. The object type is 7. The OSPP has a UserSign field but I'm not sure if that holds the UserID of the original user who created the special price or if its the user who last updated the record. You'd have to test that. Alternatively you could develop an add-on that runs in the GUI to track the user clicking on Add/Update in the special pricing screen and recording the details.
    Kind Regards,

  • Special prices - Group discount

    Hi
There are special prices defined for certain customers. A special price discount were defined for a certain period which ended at the end of Sept 2010. Previously a group discount of 10% was defined for this customer. Now that the period discount expired, the special price dicount should revert back to the group discount of 10%  but it doesn't. It just pulls through the normal price as per the price list assigned to the BP.
I deleted the period discount line in the period discount window even though the period expired but no luck.
I couldn't find any notes on the subject so has anyone got a solution for me?
The version is 2007A PL 44
    Regards
    Danie

    Hi
After much testing it seems that the system handles it in the following manner -
If the item exists in the window for 'Special prices' - which is the highest level, and even if the disc % is zero, no further checking is done - even though a disc exists in a lower level, in this case 'Group Discounts'.
When you delete the item from the 'Special Prices' window, the discount defined for 'Groups' pulls through.
This is the case in 2007 PL44 and also in 8.8 PL11 so I suppose it's just the way SBO handles special prices.
This may be ok for companies with few bp's and items, but for my client with many bp's and huge warehouses, maintaining special prices is a huge problem.

  • New T530 keeps auto adjusting brigthness. ARRRGGH!! Help!

I've got a new T530 that is royally pissing me off with this constant auto adjust brigthness setting I cannot seem to kill, no matter where I dig into the Lenovo Power control center or built in Win 7 enterprise power settings. I've got the Nvidia NVS 5400m GPU NOT the Intel HD4000.
How do I turn this thing off????

Heh, had the same problem with our L430 (also Win7 Enterprise although 32-bit). But, we use Intel graphics, so we turned off power saving options in Intel Control Panel and set "graphics" in Lenovo Power Manager to "Maximum performance". Since then, the problem disappeared. Does Nvidia have something similar (power management wise) in its CP?

  • Best way to create special prices for a single BP?

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone suggest the best way to do the following?   I have a single BP who will ALWAYS purhcase at 10% above the landed cost (or last purchase price of an item) for any item in SAP B1.   I don't see how I can implement this through Special Prices.   Is there any other way?
    Regards
    Geoff

    Hi Gordon
I did consider this method but it occurred to me that whenever we create a new item (or indeed the last purhcase price of an item changes) then the special price will not change.   We also have a item list of over 50,000 items and I have always found that adding special prices for a business partner for all 50k items increases the sizes of the database considerably.
I am looking for a more dynamic approach that will change as we add new items or last purhcase price changes.
Could this be done through the addition of a new price list perhaps which is based on the last purchase price?   I don't fully understand what the factor does but I presume it will create a new price based on another price list only higher or lower?
    Regards

  • Adding special prices to items query.

Hi, I'm just wondering if anybody can help me work out how to add special prices to items on a volume basis. say if i sold one item there would be no discount but if i sold 10 then i would automatically want a 5% discount to be given, I've had a look around and nothing seems to be popping out at me, i want the discount given to all customers also.
    many thanks.

    Dear RW,
Choose  Inventory ->Price Lists ->Special Prices ->Special Prices for Business Partners
To define the special price of an item for a business partner, in the Special Prices for Business Partners window, enter the required business partner and item information
To open the Period Discounts window, in the # column, double-click a row . Enter the required dates, price list, discount, and price and choose the Update button
To save the modified special prices, in the Special Prices for Business Partners window, choose the Update button
If no date-dependent special price has been defined for an item, SAP Business One assumes that the customer-specific special price has been valid since the date on which it was added. The special price with the appropriate valid-from date appears in the first row.
Defining Quantity-Based Special Prices for a Business Partner
Choose  Inventory -> Price Lists -> Special Prices  -> Special Prices for Business Partners .
The Special Prices for Business Partners window appears.
To open the Period Discounts window, in the # column, double-click a row . Enter the required dates, price list, discount, and price.
In the Period Discounts window, double-click a price-list row to open the Special Prices - Volume Discounts window, and enter the quantity, discount, and special price.
After you enter or change the price, SAP Business One automatically calculates the discount according to the difference between quantity-based and the date-dependent special price.
To confirm your entries, choose the Update button in the Special Prices - Volume Discounts window and the Period Discounts window.
To save the modified special prices, choose Update in the Special Prices for Business Partners window.
To define quantity-based special prices, you do not have to define a date dependency in addition to the SAP Business One default one. You can also define quantity-based special prices directly, based on the special price for the business partner

  • +/- Badge for 'Apply Auto Adjust Tones' Preference setting.

Okay, in V1.1 a User can now, in Preferences check to 'Apply Auto Adjust Tones'. ONly thing is the Develop Adjustment Badge +/- is not applied so it is easy to forget that one may have intentialally or mistakenly set this preference.
It would be nice if, when this Preference is checked the bBadge is applied, just as it is, if set in Quick Dev or Develop on a case by case basis.
Might resolve some confusion. Or if this is by design, maybe a special Auto Adjust Badge could be added.
Is Reset supposed to set back Auto Adjust applied by the Preference or can one only revert the image in History if applied with the 'Apply Auto Adjust Tones' Preference setting?

  • Why does text on certain portions of websites, usually when adjacent text contains special characters, become jumbled into seemingly random sets of characters that are not in any way jumbled when viewing the source of the webpage? How can I fix this?

When viewing most text on most websites, it displays properly. However, there are two instances where text will either tend to, or consistently, become jumbled into a mess of seemingly random characters. Oddly enough, these seemingly random characters are not, in fact, random. The same weird character will be used to replace the same regular English text character consistently across the entire area that has been jumbled.
The two instances where this tends to occur most often, or consistently in some cases, are, first, when a paragraph or particular section of formatted text contains special characters, such as Chinese or Japanese characters, or accented letters. When this happens, usually the paragraph that contains the special characters is completely jumbled, while the rest of the text on the page will have intermittent jumbling on a word or two. Most often, the word "the" is jumbled in this case.
The second instance where this happens is when a website uses specially formatted text in some form or another. I, not being an expert at web development, am not sure what kind of formatting causes it, but I can provide consistent examples in lieu of my experience:
    - Example 1:
Example 1 shows a portion of a screen-shot of the website "Joystiq.com". Every single article title on the front page of this blog is consistently jumbled, while the text of the article itself remains untouched. Please note that when this jumbled text is highlighted, it is visible un-jumbled in the right-click menu as well as in the source code of the page. Other consistent instances can be found within many search fields on various websites. For instance, the search bar located at the top right of "Kotaku.com" consistently displays jumbled characters both on its default text of "Search" and on any text that is typed into the search box itself.
    - Example 2:
Example 2 shows both the jumbling of the paragraph containing the character "☆" as well as the subsequent peppering of the rest of the article's text with small jumbled words. Below this is the DOM Source of the selected text which shows how the text itself is being rendered properly within the site's source. Additionally, for convenience, I have edited on to the bottom of the image a small snippet of what the search bar on the same page looks like. Notice how the grayed-out text that normally would read "Search" is instead jumbled.
This issue has been plaguing my browser for the past year or so, and I had hoped that it would go away with subsequent Firefox updates. It has not gone away.
Thank you for reading! Please help!

This issue can be caused by an old bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or (bitmap) fonts that Firefox can't display in that size.
Firefox can't display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size and displays gibberish instead.
You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or see if you can find a True type version that doesn't show the problem.
There have also been fonts with a Chinese name reported that identify themselves as Helvetica, so check that as well.
Use this test to see if the Helvetica font is causing it (Copy & Paste the code in the location bar and press Enter):
    <pre><nowiki>data:text/html,
    Helvetica<br><font face="Helvetica" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font><br>
    Helvetica Neue<br><font face="Helvetica Neue" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font>
    </nowiki></pre>
You should reset the network.http prefs that show user set on the about:config page.<br />
Not all websites support http pipelining and if they do not then you can have issues with images or other problems.

But still, not sure what the deal is. The "1" is just as readable as any other number on the keyboard regardless.
