Priemier Elements 8.0 will not do anything after opening - what do I do?

Newbie here, I am new to Adobe and it's products. I must say, trying to find information on here is a bit frustraiting...
Anyway, I have downloaded the trial version to try before I decide to purchase and I am wanting to edit a video, something about 45 seconds long. I am able to open and get one of my videos from my computer and add it to the program and I was able to Run the Auto-Analyzer but when I click on Fix nothing will happen. It shows the Photo Fix Options on the right with several options and none of those will work on the video and down towards the bottom it gives an option of Edit Videos and when I click on that a purple box will show up with various Adobe information and look as though its going to load up so I can edit vidoes but nothing will ever happen. Basically there is nothing I can do with vidoes other than add them and auto analize them. Below is a screen shot of what I see.
Can someone please advise me what to do? I have watched ALLOT of the videos of what you can do with this program but I can't even get anything started to even try any of it...

What I do is click on the Adobe Premiere button and it opens up to a purple page giving me the option to select Organizer, New Project or Open Project.
I have no projects to open so that narrows it down to the two and when I click New Project nothing ever happens, it looks like it is loading by several words flashing by in the upper right hand corner but it does not do anything, one time it did but it was something about an error and wanted to report it to adobe. It wasn't your typical error box, it was rather large and gave me an option to fill in information of what I was doing when the error occured. This means I only have one option and that is to select Organizer so yes, I was in Organizer mode since that is all that will open. I assumed I can get there from the Organizer.
It is the newest version of Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0.
The two thumbnails you see are two short videos (17 seconds & 45 seconds) that I wanted to play with in edit mode to see how it works, how easy and all that.
Yes, it is the tryout version. I did download the Patch.
I am not sure how to find the Background Rendering feature.
On the AutoAnalyzer, I selected that because one of the support videos said I had to do that before i could edit.
I have been at this for 2 days and my mind is a big blob mess after trying to figure this out and not being very successful I have been downloading other programs and trying to learn them as well and since I am on a big time crunch and I am forcing myself to do crash courses of what I thought was going to be as simple as downloading one program and working a whole afternoon figuring it out, I may not be thinking straight to completly understand everything your trying to tell me. I will probably have to give up, try something else and come back and play with this when I have time to play.
My goal is to produce a 45 second commercial for a Sears/St. Judes Research Hospital contest. I am on my own so I will be using my camera which has a video feature and recording myself and I will have to edit it to cut out areas such as when I get up and down to turn the camera off and on and adding photos, text and back ground music with narration and making it all flow nicely in one 45 second shot.
I think you are right about me being stuck in one area, I think I am stuck in the Organizer hoping when I click edit or fix (the orange tab) and then trying to select edit videos at the bottom that it will open the correct page. I guess I am beating myself up on this one and probably have to completely remove/uninstall and reinstall because obviously it is not working properly.

It's not specific sites. I can middle-click on the same link 50 times and it will open it in a new tab 45 times and 5 of those times, it will randomly open it in an entirely new window. I don't know what's causing this.
It happens so randomly that I don't know how to pin-point what it could be.

But... my iPhone acted like this once after I dropped it.
First, make sure the phone has some charge in the battery. Plug it in and let it charge for a while if you haven't already done that.
Then try doing a reset. To reset the phone press both the Home button (on the front of the phone) and the Sleep/Wake button (on the top of the phone) at the same time. Keep both buttons pressed for at least 10 seconds and see if the phone will restart. In my case the reset did the trick.
If that doesn't work you might see if anything else here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_1 is useful. If you still have no luck try asking your question again in an iPhone forum above... or visit your local Apple Store.

IPod touch practically will not do anything after 1.1.5 update was installe

Ok, so i have a first gen iPod touch which was running off the 1.1.1 firmware since i first got it, but i recently upgraded it to 1.1.5 and a few major errors occured.
1. it appears to have wiped all my music/videos off there, as when i try and access either of them it takes me to a blank screen for about 2 seconds then back to the home screen, yet it still says capacity available is only 145mb??
2. the ipod will not connect to my PC or laptop via itunes. it does however charge when attatched to the computer.
any suggestions as to what is going on?? any help would be appreciated!!

I'm not sure what major errors occurred but when you try this again, turn off your anti-virus and firewall while you do the update.

Premiere elements 9 workspace will not load up after reinstalling the software

i have been using premiere elements 9 on my laptop for a few years. recently, I took my laptop into the local computer store to have it cleaned up due to virus', they backed up all my data, and left me with nothing but my windows 7 and my backed up files (which is what I expected and asked for). After re-installing my Adobe Photoshop elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9, I cannot use the premiere elements 9 program. it only gets so far before closing. After clicking the premiere elements 9 icon, I am taken to the "Organize, Open project, New Project screen". upon selecting Open Project or New Project, it goes to the Premiere elements panel....that's it. I cannot open a workspace, tasks etc..... . If I try to open an old project (file>open>.....) nothing happens. nothing loads. same with file>new>...... if I keep trying , I get the message 'Premiere Elements has encountered an error and will close'
my Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 works just fine. came in the same package.
I have uninstalled premiere elements 9 twice now, and reinstalled it, same thing happens.
losing my mind a bit, as creating video is a hobby (youtube etc....) and I'm at a stand still.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 problem set in after the installs of any one of the programs installed, then you should rule that factor in or out for each systematically. Each would be a prime candidate for troubleshooting exploration.
But, before you do that, let us try deleting the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 settings file. In Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, it can be found in the path
Local Disk C
Users
Owner
AppData
Roaming
Adobe
Premiere Elements Folder
9.0 Folder
and in the 9.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not correct the problem, then deleted the whole 9.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
IMPORTANT
a. Make sure you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so you can see the complete path.
b. Do not detour or get lured into a Premiere Elements 9.0 Folder instead of the Premiere Elements Folder/then 9.0 Folder.
Please let us know the outcome.

K8N Platinum SLI will not do anything after BIOS upgrade! HELP!

Hi guys,
I just upgraded my BIOS version using MSI Live Update. I rebooted the system, checked my BIOS settings and proceeded into Windows. Windows re-detected some hardware and said I needed to reboot. Instead I decided to shutdown completely and then power-on again.
However, the system will no longer display anything! All the fans come on, and I can hear my HDD power-up too, but nothing is displayed on screen and there is no HDD activity. The LEDs on the D-Bracket are showing 1.Red 2.Orange. 3.Red 4.Orange.
I have disconnected all hardware except my main HD and Graphics Card and reset the BIOS. I did the by using the button and by removing the battery for 10/15 minutes or so. Still no change!
I have also tried re-seating my Graphics card and RAM, but since I only rebooted - I don't see how anything could have come loose...
Please help me to diagnose the problem.

P.S. I do not overclock at all.

The only guy I know with an AMD x64 PC lives too far away for me to just pop-over and check the components. My local PC store would charge an arm and a leg to check the PC out and I'm not even sure I would trust them to do it right. As for Best Buy, we don't have those over here in the UK.
I have an Antec Neopower 480, which is still powering all my case fans and HDDs.
I am almost certain that the Motherboard or Processor is at fault, so I have ordered a new MOBO. If that doesn't fix it, then I presume it will be the Processor.
I think it must have been something to do with the BIOS upgrade, it can't just be a coincidence.

Photoshop Elements 11 Editor will not open pictures

My Photostop Elements 11 Editor will not open pictues. I have tried to uninstall/install the product and this didn't work. I can get it to work once in awhile and then it stops working again. Suggestions?

Go to the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:

I am having the same issue and all since I updated to the Maverick OS (well it seems that way anyway). I am currently going through the process of repairing permissions, removing other pieces of 'non standard' software on the Mac, uninstalling Elements 11, doing a safe boot and then a download of the package again and trying a completley new install. If this doesn't work it will be a fresh user account and start again.
There were some very helpful hints from folks about remmoving other unnecessary software which did help stablise other issues but I still cannot get Element to work.

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

Also Safari keeps crashing. I have shut down the phone and restarted it twice and that hasn't helped. Any ideas?

First, make sure these items have checkmarks next to their names in iTunes. Continuous playback only works on checked items. Itunes will play all checked items in a list whether or not they're from the same album.
If you see that nothing in your library is checked and you want to check everything, hold down Ctrl while checking an item. This checks everything.
Next, fixing the "1 of 1" problem is easily. Select all the tracks that make up the book/album. Let's say there are 15. Press Ctrl-I. Doublecheck that the album box is filled in with the name of the book, and if not, type it there. Enter "15" in the box for the total number of tracks. Click OK. Now all the items should be "1 of 15," "2 of 15," and so on.

PLEASE HELP! My Ipod touch will not play anything from or in itunes.

I don't know what to do. For the first 4 months everything was great then all of a sudden my Ipod would no longer play anything from or in itunes. I can not transfer anything from itunes to it either. It looks like it has been transferred on the ipod and in itunes under my device but it will not play anything. I can download directly into the ipod and its fine. I listen to audio books from library sites as well as buy them but now it does not work unless it can go directly in the ipod which library sites need to come from your computer and them be transferred after its downloaded. Can anyone help me? I even have a brand new ipod thinking it was the other one but its not. I have windows 7 64 bit. Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing changes. Thank you.

When syncing with itunes, got error message saying had error and now ipad2 will not do anything other than showing the USB cable with arrow pointing to Itunes on screen. have done the reset and restart, but still get same thing.

I had done all of that to no avail. I did call Apple Tech Support and after he suggested I try a USB port in the rear of the Win 7 computer, things starting working again.
