Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Pass

Dear OTN Members:
I am working on Locale builder utility for the development of URDU locale. As u all must have
been aware there are 4 options (language definition, territory definition, character set, linguistic sorting). I have configured the first two options (language definition, territory definition) working on third option(Character set) and will move on the linguistic sorting in just couple of hours.
I have to develop a multilingual locale in URDU. I checked GENERIC_M locale in Locale builder
and tried to understand its development technique But unable to grab anything from it.
I am workign on the option "UNICODE COLLATION SEQUENCE" present in Linguistic sorting. But in this
screen a tree has been made comprises of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Pass.
Will any one have this idea that
1)
"How this tree of primary, secondary and tertiary pass be
made in any English"
2)
How this sort of tree can be configured in Arabic / Urdu language
Plz reply soon..

1)
"How this tree of primary, secondary and tertiary pass be

There is a white paper on OTN that explains this:
http://otn.oracle.com/tech/globalization/pdf/TWP_Sorting_10gR1.pdf
2)
How this sort of tree can be configured in Arabic / Urdu language
That's a tough one because there doesn't seem to be a standard for Urdu sorting. Probably modifying GENERIC_M for whatever your requirements are is best.

  • How can I create secondary and tertiary dropdown menus whose choices are dependant on the parent?

Kind of a weird question; I know. I'm new to both the Adobe Developer forums, and to XMP in general.
Here's the basic gist of what I'm trying to do:
We've got a Group, Category, and Subcategory structure for a given variable. Obviously, the subcategories are unique to a particular category, just as the categories are unique to a particular group; so displayed as a tree:
    I.     Group_1
              1. Category_1A
                        a. Subcategory_1Ax
                        b. Subcategory_1Ay
                        c. Subcategory_1Az
              2. Category_1B
                        a. Subcategory_1Bx
                        b. Subcategory_1By
                        c. Subcategory_1Bz
              3. Category_1C
                        a. Subcategory_1Cx
                        b. Subcategory_1Cy
                        c. Subcategory_1Cz
    II.     Group_2
              1. Category_2A
                        a. Subcategory_2Ax
                        b. Subcategory_2Ay
                        c. Subcategory_2Az
              2. Category_2B
                        a. Subcategory_2Bx
                        b. Subcategory_2By
                        c. Subcategory_2Bz
              3. Category_2C
                        a. Subcategory_2Cx
                        b. Subcategory_2Cy
                        c. Subcategory_2Cz
The subcategories are unique to their categories; just as the categories are unique to their groups. In an effort to prevent garbage coming into the metadata, and because these groups, categories, and subcategories have already been defined, I'd like them displayed as dropdown menus; Once the user has selected a group for the file, the Category dropdown would appear (or become active) and display the Category choices available only to that group, and then do the same in terms of the Subcategory.
I'm guessing that I'll start with a closed choice, assign the values to the groups, and then write a function to display only the choices for that group in the category dropdown. Trouble is, I don't have a whole lot of JavaScript experience -- and the word I've seen tossed around in this area seems to be an Array -- so I'm wondering if I'm barking up the wrong tree. If anyone has some kind of direction to point me in, it'd be helpful.
I'm not looking for someone to do my work for me (that's missing the point) -- this is an exercise in learning XML, Some scripting, Flash Builder, and Javascript, and I'd really like to develop it entirely myself; because I am having fun!!
    Many thanks,

Do you mean the stuff from here:
    http://projects.nateweiss.com/nwdc/workcode.htm
If so, to be honest, don't ("use it", I mean).
It might have been a reasonable approach to this sort of thing ten years ago, but it's not a very good way of doing this sort of thing these days.
This sort of thing is pretty easy to knock together with some HTML, JQuery to do some JS stuff and a CFC behind the scenes.
Indeed just using some binds to <cfselect> tags would be a better approach.

  • CAPWAP Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Question

After going to the High Availability Tab in the WLC GUI and setting the primary, secondary, and tertiary, how do you see that in the CLI in the AP?
I tried using show capwap ip config, it doesn't show any entries at all?
And also, is there a command to do that in the CLI in the AP?  to set the primary, secondary, and tertiary?
    Thank you.

"ou need to run th config ap... from a WLC.  You have autonomous AP's so  you need to convert them to LWAPP and you also need a WLC to do this."
It's been converted to LWAPP, but haven't joined a WLC yet.
What I wanted to do was configure a primary, secondary before joining it to a WLC.
Because what I would of done is first have it join a controller, then go into the GUI and change the HA (High Availablilty) and add the primary/secondary controllers.
Thought if I could skip the first step and try to configure it from the AP.

    hi,
    check this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/cf/21eb2d446011d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm
A difference is made between Primary & Secondary indexes to a table. the primary index consists of the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-keys-fields of the table. The Primary index is generated automatically when a table is created and is created in the datebase as the same times as the table. It is also possible to define further indexes to a table in the ABAP/4 dictionary, which are then referred to as Secondary indexes.
Always it is not mandatory that an index should have all the key fields of a table. To see the index of a table
goto SE11->specify table name->click on the indexes... button on the application toolbar.
Based on your requirement you can you any of those index fields in the where clause of your query. Always its a better practice to use the index fields in the order specified. While selecting the records from a table it is always better to select the fields in the same order as specified in the table.

  • Primary Barcode and Secondary Barcode

    Hi Experts ,
Please let me know if its a good practice to have a Primary Barcode with with product number and a secondary barcode with fields of batch number,Expiration date and quantity in the product label.
Also<b> i would like to know</b> if we need to have a <b>secondary barcode </b>if we have a Storage unit number Barcode on the pallet . Will the storage unit barcode give the information of materials or will the fields get populated in the RF device once we scan the SU barcode .
If its possible to populate the fields (material number, batch, quantity and expiration date ) once we scan the SU Barcode then i ll just give a <b>proposal </b>to have only a primary barcode and a SU barcode.
    Your advise will be appreciated.
    Regards
    Albert.

Then I'm going to stick with my original response.
    Looking at the documentation:
    http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/print_hit_summary?search_string=%22secondary+index%22
the term "secondary index" seems to be used primarily in conjunction with index-organised tables (where the primary key / primary index is part and parcel of the table) and with xpath.

  • Data deletion on primary index and secondary index

Hello, I have a question regarding data deletion in BDB-JE.
Suppose I have an Entity class which has a primary index and a secondary index, the secondary key does not have outer related entity. So when I want to delete this entity, is it correct we only need to remove the entity from primary index? or I also need to do it for secondary index or just remove it from secondary index and internally BDB_JE will remove it from primary index?
    Thanks
    Anfernee

You can delete an Entity using the delete method for primary index or the secondary index. When an entity is deleted, secondary index records are automatically deleted. The primary and secondary indices are always kept in sync.

  • Difference between primary key and primary index

    Dear All,
Hi... .Could you pls tell me the difference between primary key and primary index.
    Thanks...

    Hi,
Primary Key : It is one which makes an entry of the field unique. No two distinct rows in a table can have the same value (or combination of values) in those columns.
Eg: first entry is 111, if you again enter value 111 , it doesnot allow 111 again. similarly for the strings or characters or numc etc. Remember that for char or numc or string 'NAME' is not equal to 'name'.
Primary Index: this is related to the performance .A database index is a data structure that improves the speed of operations in a table. Indices can be created using one or more columns, providing the basis for both rapid random lookups and efficient ordering of access to records. The disk space required to store the index is typically less than the storage of the table (since indices usually contain only the key-fields according to which the table is to be arranged, and excludes all the other details in the table), yielding the possibility to store indices into memory from tables that would not fit into it. In a relational database an index is a copy of part of a table. Some databases extend the power of indexing by allowing indices to be created on functions or expressions. For example, an index could be created on upper(last_name), which would only store the uppercase versions of the last_name field in the index.
In a database , we may have a large number of records. At the time of retrieving data from the database based on a condition , it is a burden to the db server. so whenever we create a primary key , a primary index is automatically created by the system.
If you want to maintain indices on other fields which are frequently used in where condition then you can create secondary indices.
    Reward points if helpful.
    Thanks,
    Sirisha..

  • Why is email being sent from my secondary and not from my default account as per my settings - even when I remove the secondary email account?

I have 2 email accounts on my iPhone 4S. My secondary account is a gmail account. My primary account (not gmail) is set as my default account. Why, when I compose a new message in my primary account and then send, the email is issued from from gmail? And then why if I delete/ remove my gmail account from my iPhone and then compose a new message from my primary account (now the only account on my iPhone) it still sends from the gmail account?

No, "My Number" was not listed in my Phone menu, I had to manually type it it.  Is there a way for that number to automatically be listed in that "My Number" spot?  Would that maybe have something to do with my phone number not being listed as an option in the "Send and Receive" spot under messaging???

This is absolutely the worst thing you can ever do with DNS. More details why here -> Ramblings of a Sysadmin: How to do DNS correctly
Primary and secondary DNS should ALWAYS be internal.
Your DNS Servers should use FORWARDERS go go out to google. That's the only place that should see google DNS servers in your environment.

Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to listen.
I have successfully implemented an Active Directory setup using a Primary DC and a Secondary DC with Windows Server 2012 R2.
EL1 is my PDC and EL2 is my BDC.
Active Directory is in sync among the two Domain Controllers. Here is my question:
If I were to have a policy (Group Policy) that sets the wallpaper of each client machine to whatever is in the "\\EL1\Wallpaper\wp.jpg" - what would happen if I were to have that Domain Controller fail? That directory is no longer available due to the outage - even though the Backup Domain Controller will still be pushing out the policy (pointing to the down server).
My idea was to have that directory replicated on the Backup Domain Controller, "\\EL2\Wallpaper\wp.jpg" however - the policy will still be looking for the file in the Primary Domain...

  • WCS HA - network between primary & secondary

Looking through the WCS 7.0 config guide, one of the pre-requisites for using HA between a primary and secondary instance of WCS is: "A reliable high-speed wired network must exist between the primary WCS and its backup WCS"
Is this implying they should be physically co-located with a wire-speed switched conenction between them, or could they be located across 2 geographically separated data centres which have a reasonable speed WAN between them?
    Thanks

  • Generating license for ISE high availability primary/secondary nodes

We have two ISE servers that will act as primary/secondary in a high availability setup.
The ISE 1.0.4 installation guide, page 93, mentions that "If you have two Cisco ISE nodes configured for high availability, then you must include both the primary and secondary Administration ISE node hardware and IDs in the license file."
However, after entering the PAK in the licensing page, the only required fields are:
    - Primary Product ID
    - Primary Version ID
    - Primary Serial No
In this case, how can i include both primary and secondry HW and IDs?
