Prime 2.0 alarms for unmanaged interfaces

PI 2.0 is working great for me apart from 1 thing....every hour I get alarms for all the down interfaces I am not interested in?
These are from the pollen as all traps are disabled on the devices.
The monitoring templates have been un deployed then deployed to look at wan port group only. The interfaces I am being alerted to are not in this port group.
Wondering if this is a bug? I have rebooted PI.

If it is anything like LMS 4, it treats each context as a separate object. Configure an IP on each context and add that to Prime.

  • Alarms for To Dos in Mail - appallingly bad interface

Unless I'm doing something wrong, when you create a Mail to do and enter an alarm for it, the box goes away after every character you type. For instance:
    * Change the ridiculous default of "day before" to "same day." The box goes away and you have to click it again.
    * Type a single number into the time field. The box goes away and you have to click it again.
    * Type another number into the time field. The box goes away and you have to click it again.
    * Change p.m. to a.m. The box goes away and you have to click it again.
To add other alarms you must repeat this infuriating process all over again. This is one of the worst interaction designs I can think of. Or am I totally missing something?

And also, why is the Mail keyboard command for creating a to do different from the one in iCal?
    iCal: command-K.
    Mail: command-option-Y.
As far as I can tell command-K is not assigned to anything in Mail, nor is command-option-Y assigned to anything in iCal. Why not use the same one?
Apple is supposed to be the industry standard for interface design. Doesn't anyone think about these things?

  • Distortion in Save For Web interface

I am still having problems with my Save For Web interface. Attached is a screen where you can see that with just the Optimized view showing (in this case 72%), the picture looks as expected. But if I go to 2-up or 4-up views, the 2nd image (which was the 72% Optimized) is now all pixelated as if it were a GIF.

  • Is there a way to get an alarm for my events for the iCal on the iPhone 4?

Is there a way to get an alarm for my events for the iCal on the iPhone 4?

    Greetings,
See page 113 of the iPhone 4 user manual: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
When you add an event to the Calendar.app of the iPhone 4 there is an "Alert" option which should give you the desired result.
    Cheers.

  • No Email Alarm for All-Day Events

    Hello, Everyone,
I've got a desktop and a laptop, and I've been syncing the iCal calendars on each for some time. However, this has resulted in one annoying thing - whenever an event comes up in iCal that I'd set an email alarm for, I would receive multiple alarms, one from each machine.
I thought I'd solve this problem by moving the calendars to my server (a headless Mini running 10.4.6 Server), and thus only get one email alarm. However, since I moved it, I'm getting no alarms.
I've run some tests, and confirmed that if I set up a test event at a specific time, I will get an email alarm for it. However, if the event is set up to be an all-day event, no alarm.
I've restarted the server, I've made sure the iCalScheduler is running...these calendars have worked for years, and now I'm perplexed. Any thoughts?
    Cheers,
    Martin

Well, I couldn't figure this one out, so I just moved the calendars back to my main machine, and published them to the web for sharing with my laptop. On my main machine they worked fine.
Can't figure out why it wouldn't work on the server. Maybe it'll change with Leopard's iCal server.

  • How can I remove default alarm for events in iCal on devices ios?

Whenever I add an event to my iCal calendar in Mounain Lion it will automatically add one default alert only on my iphone and ipad. These default alarms are not displayed on my macbook or icloud.com
Default alarms are disabled in macbook, icloud.com, and my ios devices.
How can I remove default alarm for events in iCal on devices ios?
Thanks and sorry for my english.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.8

OK, so I have had this issue for the past several months. I think it all started when I upgraded to ML from SL and migrated my calendars and contacts to iCloud. That was a couple months ago. But now I am running 10.8.2, and about two weeks ago I upgraded my iOS devices to 6.0.1.
I don't seem to be having any issues with events that I create now, but all those old events that were migrated to iCloud a couple months ago, many of those sound alerts on the iOS devices even though there was no alert defined when the event was originally created. I have always had alerts off by default both in iCal and on the iOS devices.
So here's the question: is there a way to go through and disable all these spurious event alerts? I've been disabling them as the event reminders come up, but it's irritating. It would be nice if there was a way to turn them off all in one shot somehow.

  • Creation of Server Proxy for  Message interface with External Defination

    Dear All,
I am getting a problem while generating a server proxy for the inbound interface . The request message used in the inbound interface is a external definition which is uploaded using a XSD file. The XSD file was supplied by a third party which is having very high complex strucuture and used lot of abstract data types in the design. When i tried to generate the proxy in the R/3 system (Transaction SPROXY) for the inbound interface i am getting following error.
Interface uses external and internal message definitions
    Message no. SPRX122 *
    Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
    System Response
    The interface cannot be generated.
    Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
Please guide me, how to generate the proxy for the interface with external defination message. I could nt geneate manullay, because it is having very high complexity and its a big structure.
Is there is any way to generate the proxy for interface with external definition
    Regards
    Vijayanand

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.
Check this, it may help you

  • 2K8 - Best practice for setting the DNS server list on a DC/DNS server for an interface

We have been referencing the article
"DNS: DNS servers on <adapter name> should include their own IP addresses on their interface lists of DNS servers"
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd378900%28WS.10%29.aspx but there are some parts that are a bit confusing.  In particular is this statement
"The inclusion of its own IP address in the list of DNS servers improves performance and increases availability of DNS servers. However, if the DNS server is also a domain
controller and it points only to itself for name resolution, it can become an island and fail to replicate with other domain controllers. For this reason, use caution when configuring the loopback address on an adapter if the server is also a domain controller.
The loopback address should be configured only as a secondary or tertiary DNS server on a domain controller.”
The paragraph switches from using the term "its own IP address" to "loopback" address.  This is confusing becasuse technically they are not the same.  Loppback addresses are 127.0.0.1 through 127.255.255.255. The resolution section then
goes on and adds the "loopback address" 127.0.0.1 to the list of DNS servers for each interface.
In the past we always setup DCs to use their own IP address as the primary DNS server, not 127.0.0.1.  Based on my experience and reading the article I am under the impression we could use the following setup.
Primary DNS:  Locally assigned IP of the DC (i.e. 192.168.1.5)
Secondary DNS: The assigned IP of another DC (i.e. 192.168.1.6)
    Tertiary DNS:  127.0.0.1
I guess the secondary and tertiary addresses could be swapped based on the article.  Is there a document that provides clearer guidance on how to setup the DNS server list properly on Windows 2008 R2 DC/DNS servers?  I have seen some other discussions
that talk about the pros and cons of using another DC/DNS as the Primary.  MS should have clear guidance on this somewhere.

Actually, my suggestion, which seems to be the mostly agreed method, is:
Primary DNS:  Locally assigned IP of the DC (i.e. 192.168.1.5)
Secondary DNS: The assigned IP of another DC (i.e. 192.168.1.6)
    Tertiary DNS:  empty
The tertiary more than likely won't be hit, (besides it being superfluous and the list will reset back to the first one) due to the client side resolver algorithm time out process, as I mentioned earlier. Here's a full explanation on how
    it works and why:
    This article discusses:
WINS NetBIOS, Browser Service, Disabling NetBIOS, & Direct Hosted SMB (DirectSMB).
The DNS Client Side Resolver algorithm.
If one DC or DNS goes down, does a client logon to another DC?

I agree with this proposed solution as well:
Primary DNS:  Locally assigned IP of the DC (i.e. 192.168.1.5)
Secondary DNS: The assigned IP of another DC (i.e. 192.168.1.6)
    Tertiary DNS:  empty
One thing to note, in this configuration the Best Practice Analyzer will throw the error:
The network adapter Local Area Connection 2 does not list the loopback IP address as a DNS server, or it is configured as the first entry.
Even if you add the loopback address as a Tertiary DNS address the error will still appear. The only way I've seen this error eliminated is to add the loopback address as the second entry in DNS, so:
Primary DNS:  The assigned IP of another DC (i.e. 192.168.1.6)
    Secondary DNS: 127.0.0.1
    Tertiary DNS:  empty
I'm not comfortable not having the local DC/DNS address listed so I'm going with the solution Ace offers.

  • How to use Start Task Group for Workflow Interface

    Hi all,
anyone who can tell me how to use the Interface IFWFTSKGRP (Start Task Group for Workflow Interface)?
As far as I understood the documentation it can be used to restrict the selection of workflows that can be started in the Generic Object Services. But the question is how to implement it.
    Best regards,
    Carsten
Edited by: Carsten Drewes on Jun 10, 2009 10:30 AM

    Hi, Carsten,
(probably it's a bit too late to post an answer after 3 years , but I'll post it in case someone else needs it)
    You should implement GetTaskGroup method.
The code should return id of the task group (otype TG, mantained in PFTC) that holds the list of workflow definitions.
Here is a sample implementation. It's taken from FORMABSENC business object. It belongs to SAP demo workflow "Notification of Absence". I suppose it should be present in most systems and you can see it in action.
    begin_method gettaskgroup changing container.
    DATA: taskgroup LIKE rhobjects-object.
    *- set task group
    taskgroup = 'TG70000023'.
      *- set result
    swc_set_element container result taskgroup.
    end_method.

  • Which case we go for abap interface?

    Hi  friends,
As per my understand  some scenario's are running with out PI integration.........those are called abap interfaces....
then which case we go for Pi? and which case we go for ABAP interface?
    please help me on this...
    Thanks & Regards
    E.Ravi Chandra Reddy

    Hi Ravi,
Understand this way,PI is not only for mapping. It is also used for doing the routing at the runtime.Suppose if you have A coming in the payload it should go to receiver X otherwise Y.
So,depends as per your business requirement. If you just want to integrate 2 system directly. You can go with that but suppose in future you have number of system, you cant do 1:1 connection everytime. At that time you require some middleware to integrate your scenario.
