Prime 2.0 support for Multicontext ASA.

Does Prime 2.0 support support below equipments:-
5585/5525-X Multicontext mode ASA
WSA/ESA
Also once i remove WLC 5508 and iam not able add it for some reason,Iam running SNMP V3.
Your inputs will be much apreciated.

If it is anything like LMS 4, it treats each context as a separate object. Configure an IP on each context and add that to Prime.

  • Cisco ASA support for PBR

    Does anyone know if Cisco has the PBR feature road mapped for future IOS releases or if they are building in new feature sets to load balance 2 different ISP connections much like F5. It seems more and more customers are asking for all in one functionality from their NextGen firewalls and the ASA seems to fall short in this category.

    As of right now, you can do PBR on the ASA when the ASA is in a cluster.  I am uncertain if there will be support for PBR or loadbalancing on a standalone ASA in the future.

  • Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 - Support for Cisco Catalyst 3560-C Series Switches

    Hello together
    I have a customer which uses the following switch. Last year I have installed LMS 4.1 for him to manage the switches. Unfortunatly the switch model is not supported. According to the information found on the following site the switch is supported for most of the modules in LMS:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.1/device_support/table/lms41sdt.html
    The oid object of the device is the following: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1465
    Supported Software: 12.2(55)EX (Customer has 12.2(55)EX3
    Version Support Type: Device Update
    So I updated all device updates I was able to find.
    Step 1: For that I went to Admin > System > Software Center > Schedule Device Downloads and created a job where I have downloaded the latest versions of all packages.
    Step 2: Installed the downloaded packages Admin > System > Software Center > Device Update and installed all the packages.
    Unfortunatly I don't see the same result like described in the Supported Device Table for LMS 4.1.
    - Cisco View -> works
    - Inventory and Config Collection -> works
    - Fault Monitor not working -> Error Code Unsupported
    - Network Topology Layer 2 Services -> Device Type ciscoProducts.1465, Symbol Question Mark
    - VLAN Management -> Doesn't work
    - User Tracking > seems also not to work
    When I open the report for supported devcies (Reports > System > Device Support) and search for C3560C... I find the following devices, but not mine which i need:
    C3560C-8PC-S     .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1466
    C3560CG8PC         .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1317
    C3560CCG8TC     .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1318
    wsC3560CPD8ptS     .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1368
    Does anybody have experience with the same switch type / model? Am I doing something wrong or is this type of switch not implemented correctly till now? Further the docuemntation supported devices would be wrong.
    Thanks for any feedback Erich

    Thanks but I just heard back from my Cisco SE and he assures me that an AP will NOT use up a license.
    I've asked him to verify his answer for me.
    Is your answer based on real world expereince (the best there is)?  That is, are you running Prime LMS 4.1 and does it indeed use up a license for each light-weight AP it discovers & manages?
    Thanks for mentioning options 1-3 but I do not wish to employ any of them.  I don't mind buying the additional licenses for APs ... I just need to know if I have to or not.
    Ian.

  • Does Cisco Prime have support for HP Access Points?

    I am trying to sell a solution to a client with dozens of large warehouses with a large existing HP wireless solution.  I want to sell them on a Cisco wireless solution involving Prime to manage/monitor their current HP Access Points while we do a phased replacement to Cisco WLC and APs.
    I cannot find listed in the documentation whether Cisco Prime has support for the HP access points though.  I see it has 'some' support listed for some Aruba controllers, but not anything else.

    Prime will only support products with a "Cisco" logo.

  • IS Prime DCNM support for 2960 switches

    Hi All,
    There is a requirement for a NMS solution, Solution must have a single dashboard
    but in the netwroks i am having 2960s, N2K, N5K, N7K, in order to mange this data-center network
    do I need to quoted for Cisco LMS and DCNM or LMS is enough

    The most comprehensive single product solution for those set of devices would be LMS. It does have limitations in managing the User Tracking, VLAN (provisioning primarily) and SAN aspects of the data center switches. Note Nexus 2ks are not separately managed, but rather viewed as an integral part of their controlling 7k or 5k.
    LMS Catalyst 2960 support described here.
    LMS Nexus support described here.
    DCNM is not really designed for IOS-based devices. It has some very limited support for the Catalyst 6500 but other than that it is primarily focued on the NX-OS-based data center products. See the DCNM Release Compatibility Matrix for more details. (And add the DCNM 6.1 release notes updates.)

    Ok, I was not quite correct in my first post.
    Those modules - only modules available for corresponding ASA models.
    They all may act as IPS (inline mode) or IDS (promiscuous mode), depending on how you configure your policies.
    When it acts like IPS, ASA directs all traffic through the module, so all the traffic is inspected and can be dropped inline if some signature fires.
    When it acts as an IDS, ASA just copies traffic to the module for inspection, but actual traffic flow is not affected by the module, as it's not inline in this case.
    Plus, those modules may be comdination of both modes. I.e. some traffic might be inspected inline, when some other (more sensitive) traffic can be inspected in promiscuous mode.
    To understand this better, get familiar with this link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/modules_ips.html

  • Support for HTML and CSS properties

    My biggest frustration with Acrobat Pro 9 is that it dropped support for certain HTML and/or CSS properties that were available in Acrobat Pro 8. In particular, the page-break-before attribute no longer works, nor does colspan. When I convert an HTML table with some colspans into a PDF, the table looks okay to the naked eye, but the structure behind the table (PDF tags) is incorrect.
    I can live without the page breaks, but I need colspan. I need to do this for hundreds of tables, so opening the Acrobat Table Editor and fixing the colspan by hand is not an option. A scripting/programming solution is required. Has anyone found a workaround? Does Acrobat X fix this problem?

    hello
    not trying to hijack the thread but needed some clarification
    your very short tutorial
    http://alt-web.blogspot.com/2012/11/primer-for-using-jquery-plug-ins.h tml
    was really informative. Just have a couple quick questions:
    you state:
    "the core code library which you ref in your <head> tags,"
    the below code just has to be declared ONCE at the beging in your head section, correct?
    <!-- jQuery latest core library from CDN-->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js">
    </script>
    then any number of jquery plugin scripts can be placed in ANY order in your head section following the above code, correct?
    "the function code inside <script> tags to invoke the plug-in."
    so then in the body, does the functions code have to come RIGHT AFTER the place it is being used?
    example
    <body>
    <div class="slideshow1"
    </div>
    <!--Plug-In Function Code1-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    </script>
    <div class="slideshow2"
    </div>
    <!--Plug-In Function Code2-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    </script>
    </body>
    or can you take all the function codes and paste them in the end outside of the respective divs that are using the code?
    ie does the position of the code matter?\
    thanks guys

  • Dynamic Routing Protocol Support in Cisco ASA Multiple Context Mode

                       Dear Experts,
    Wold like to know whether dynamic Routing Protocol Support in Cisco ASA Firewall Multiple Context Mode. If yes then please provide OS version and Hardware Model of Cisco ASA Firewall. Appreciate the quick response.  Thanks.

    Hi,
    Check out this document for the information
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/roadmap/asa_new_features.html#wp93116
    Its lists the following for software level 9.0(1)
    Multiple   Context Mode Features
    Dynamic routing in Security   Contexts
    EIGRP and OSPFv2 dynamic   routing protocols are now supported in multiple context mode. OSPFv3, RIP, and multicast routing   are not supported.
    Seems to me you would need some 9.x version to support the above mentioned Dynamic Routing Protocols.
    I don't think its related to the hardware model of the ASA other than that it requires a model that supports Multiple Context Mode. To my understanding the only model that doesnt support that is ASA5505 of the whole ASA5500 and ASA5500-X series.
    Hope this helps

  • Interactive Commands in NetConfig for Cisco ASA

    Hi,
    Maybe anyone knows, does CiscoWorks LMS supports this feature for Cisco ASA or I'm doing something wrong? I've sent interactive command "copy tftp: flash: <R>ip_address<R>asa841-k8.bin<R><R>"  to my ASA using netconfig tool and recived error "Command(s) failed on the device Insufficient no. of interactive responses(or timeout) for command: copy tftp: flash: ." For Cisco Catalyst it works fine. I have a last version of CiscoWorks 4.0.1.

    No, SWIM doesn't support ASDM upgrades, but what you're doing here is a system software upgrade.  What you might try doing is to increase the telnet timeout for this device.  Unfortunately, that feature is hidden in LMS 4.0, but see this document on how to do that:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-15162
    The document talks about inventory collection, but the interface to adjust the telnet timeout is in the same location as the SNMP timeout.  You'll want to time the transfer to know how long to make the timeout.

  • Failover for Single ASA

    Hi All,
    I want to know what all fail-over I can build for single ASA. I am planning to connect as per the attached.
    Please let me know  all configuration that i can build. Do i need to assign 2 ip's for that 2 interfaces connected to inside,dmz and outside.
    Please let me know if you any other design.
    Regards,
    Satya.M

    Hi Satya,
    You cannot assign IP's of the same subnet to two different interfaces of the ASA in the routed mode. So as per your diagram, you cannot connect Inside interface of the ASA to both the 6504E switches or to the DMZ switches as you have shown. If you want to do such a failover, you can use 2 ASA's with Active/Standby failover while connecting ASA-1 to 6504EGa and ASA-2 to 6504EGb. You can also do Active/Active failover.
    Also with 1 ASA, if you want to configure 2 ISP's on 2 interfaces, please remember policy based routing is not supported on ASA so at any gien time only 1-ISP will be active for all the traffic going out. You can have the failover configured so that everything fail's over to the secondary ISP when Primary goes down with tracks etc.
    I hope this helps. If not, can you please post your exact requirements for the failover so that we can suggest you better.
    Best,
    Raghav

  • Obtaining hardware and signature support for AIP SSM-10

    We have a 5510 which we have purchased an AIP SSM-10 card for the ASA which is already under a support contract. We now wish to add hardware maintenance for the new AIP SSM-10 card as well as signature updates. Our Cisco supplier will not confirm that we will receive signature updates with the hardware support though (we have been trying to get an answer from them since June or July now).
    Could someone let us know what the correct part number is so we can ask for the specific option that will provide both hardware cover and signature updates.

  • Speedgrade support for .MTS files

    Hello,
    I'm excited about CS6. I shoot a Panasonic GH-2 that records H.264 in .MTS. This is hacked and shoots at around 150mb/s.  Does Speedgrade read .MTS? I'd rather not transcode.  Premiere runs fine with the MTS files.
    Also, when you send out from Premiere to Speedgrade, will Premiere reflect the look/grading changes? I guess I shoyld ask this in a different topic.
    Thanks
    Max

    Adobe has announced las April that they will update their Creative Suite once a year somewhere between April and July (Q2). I think is a save assuption that SpeedGrade will get an upgrade by then. Consider that the programmers had less then half a year to deliver SG CS6... (Iridas was aquired in September 2011, and CS6 was launched in April 2012. And I know the testing and delevery of software takes about 3 months,  you can do the math).
    I am expecting a lot form the next version as the programmers had a full year to work on integration, codecs, support for various workflows etc.
    So, prime time, if you want to call it that, should probably be somewhere in April at the earliest.
