Prime Heat Map Automated Export

Is there a method whereby I could automatically export (in PDF/JPEG/PNG format) the Cisco Prime heat maps for wireless coverage?
Our organization would like to give access to this information without creating a limited/guest account in Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

At present no feature of automatic export
Exporting a Map
The Export Map feature allows you to export map or calibration information to XML. The exported XML will be in an encrypted format and will not be readable. XML and images are bundled, tarred, and zipped into a file for a successful import into another NCS.
To export a map, follow these steps:
Step 1 Choose Monitor > Site Maps page.
Step 2 From the Select a command drop-down list, Choose Export Maps. The Export Map page appears. (see Figure 6-9)

Step 3 Select the maps that you want to export.
Step 4 Click Export to export the selected map data.

5700 heat-map support

does 5700 have the heat-map support? can i load a floor-plan to the controller. i know we can make this with wcs. aruba saying that in 7200 specifications controller must have load floor plan option.

The floor plans used in a Cisco Unified Wireless Network are used in WCS, NCS and or Prime Infrastructure. Floor plans are never uploaded on the controller.

PI 1.2 Heat Maps are offset

Hi, after upgrading to PI 1.2 the heat maps are offset. Worked fine before and also I've noticed that some of my maps do look fine until I reposition an AP on it, then all AP heat maps on that map will then be offset.
Has anyone else see this issue?

I run into this all the time in Prime. Here's a brand new map with 2602 7.4 code AP's freshly placed. I have to recompute all of my new maps and some of my old ones. Would be nice if there was a global command to do that, or if the issue could be resolved.

Issue with heat maps refresh process in EID 3.1?

Issue with Heat Maps in EID 3.1? Heats maps don't refresh unless you go back to home page and then again go back to the Endeca app.
In Oracle Sample app if we open the Map tab we will see that Milwaukee is really hot in the heat map. now if we filter the data to just show data from 100 miles within Orlando, FL then the map will get refreshed to show that area but the colors on heat maps do not change.
Now if we keep the refinements same and go back to home page and again go back to sample app and maps tabs then it will still show area of 100 miles within Orlando, FL which is good but now heat map would have updated and it would show us correct color.
Now if we remove the refinement then it would show complete US map as hot which is again wrong.
I have observed this issue in chrome browser as well as firefox.
Is there anyway to overcome this issue?

This issue was resolved after applying latest patch from Oracle.

SSRS Heat Map help

I have SQL 2012 and while having a play around with a report I wanted to use a heat map ( or treemap ) as I believe it was called.
Any way I found that it one of the posts here points you to

So I downloaded the dll
Went to my dw and executed the following

Im now not sure what to do any help would be great .
I just want a simple square treemap or heat map that highlights the size of each process in rectangles and cant believe how difficult it is.

Hi Robert,
In your case, the issue may be due to that you have create an assembly, and then you register the assembly on a Microsoft SQL Server database. Then, you install a different version of the assembly in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC).
In order to work around the issue, please use the ALTER ASSEMBLY statement to update the assembly in the database. If the problem still exists after you do this, drop the assembly from the database, and then register the new version of the assembly in the
database.

Ical week numbers and heat map missing in preferences

Hi,

I migrated from 10.6 to 10.7.4 and wonder where these checkboxes are.
So, the configuration looks different. There is no Alerts part and no heat map and no week view. May this be due to the fact that I migrated from 10.6. and some configuration files got screwed up?

Have you told Apple that you would like to see this feature included in iCal? You can do so at OS X Feedback, but there is no point in saying it in the discussions because Apple very carefully does not read postings on this user-to-user site.

Standard Edition automated export

I currently have a SQL Azure database using the old Web edition and have configured automated export. This is very useful for keeping long term daily backups. I am just trying out the new Standard edition and have found the automated export is disabled with
the message "Automated export is not supported for this database".
Please tell me this won't be a Premium only feature as it is the only current way to do an automated backup without the use of a third party tool.

The Automated Export (Preview) feature is not support in the new Basic and Standard tiers currently. For disaster recovery solution in Standard edition, you can try to use Database Copy and Manual Export.

I changed web hosts and can't publish through iWeb SEO Tool or Rage Site Map Automator. Do I need to delete the old site map?

I switched to iPage hosting since Mobile Me is expiring. Also recently upgraded to OS X 10.7.3 and am using iWeb 3.0.4 for my web site design. I published directly to the FTP from iWeb but all title tags, meta tags have disappeared and I'm not showing up in Google or others. I tried publishing from iWeb SEO but it couldn't complete the process.
Should I first publish to a folder as I did before with Mobile Me, then delete all old sitemaps and start over with the Site Map Automator and then try to publish from the SEO tool? Will I lose the key words and meta tags that are already in iWeb SEO?

The problem is that most tech support people don't understand how iWeb structures a site.
When a visitor types in "domain-name-com" the browser expects to find an index.html in the root folder on the server. In "normal" websites the index.html file is the first page of the site.
The iWeb index.html file is a redirect to the first, or landing, page of the site which is the one at the top of the left column in iWeb just below the site name.
iWeb produces two index.html files.
One is outside of the folder containing the rest of the files and directs to - folder-name/home-page-name.html
The other one is inside the folder and directs to - home-page-name.html
You have two choices of how you upload the files since you are publishing to a local folder.
You can upload the whole folder plus the external index.html to the root folder on the server and the URL to any page will be...

If you upload the contents of the site folder, and not the folder or the external index.html, the URL will be...
http://www.domain-name.com/page-name.html

AUTOMATED EXPORT FAILED

Hi Azure team,I received the below error mail for automated export.
"We recommend checking that the storage account is available, and that you can perform a manual export to that account. We will attempt to export again at the next scheduled time."1. May i know, What is this message conveying?2. Storage is not accessible during that time?
If yes is answer for 2nd question then please let me know why it was happened?and how could we overcome from this???Kindly help on this by providing suggestions.

Did the automated export works on the SQL Database? you can review the Import and export history in the SQL Database server.
The message showed in the mail indicates that automated export failed due to some reason. If your storage account is not accessible, the export may fail as the .bacpac file cannot be stored in the storage.

Automated Export

I am able to setup the automated export. It is not running, no error log/messages nor email notification. Not sure what's happening, it did work once on another db, but it is not working for my production db. Since it is preview
MS is not providing any support.

it might happens because of permissions.
the process failed if a copy of your current database cannot be made.
if your production db is a clone of a database and not created by the admin user you have to add permissions to it and then it will be able to backed up

Automated export appearing on database list

Hello,
I have an Azure SQL Database (Web edition) with an automated export set for daily exports.
Sometimes (like today for instance) when I log into Azure management portal, I see an additional database listed with the name of my export.
As far as I know, an export should not be listed as a new available database, right?
Why this is happening and how can I fix that?

The Automated Export service creates a database copy of the database you are exporting. It then will perform the export operation on the copy of the database. This is done to guarantee transaction consistency during the export. After the export has completed
the database copy will be deleted.

Create a Heat Map in Oracle Apex 4.1 version

Hi,
I want to generate a Heat Map for Apex 4.1 version.
However I did not see any option which will create a Heat Map in the Charts/Maps sections.
Please advice how this can be achieved.

WCS - heat maps

Hi,
i am having trouble generating heat maps. I have dwg image. Could you please correct me if i am doing the correct thing ?
1. Monitor -> Maps
2. New Campus then it asks for a image file name which i will skip (usually i use google maps to locate the place)
3. The next page askes me Dimensions - Horizontal and Vertical Span - which i dont have - what do i give htis as ?
4. Now i click on test and -> new Building
5. I give it name, contact, number of floors and then it asks for Horizontal and vertical span which i dont have dimensions ?
6. say if i give an approximate value and then click New floor area -> then choose my dwg file - it comes up with incorrect measurement vlaue for horizontal and vertical span. I know the area of the dwg file would be 5000 sq feet but the software says it is only 200 sq feet and 1 AP is more than enough (planning mode)
could someone please help me correct me ?

@Scott - i did a map editor and used the coverage area tool and marked the area. then did recalcualte but does not seem to work. Think it calculates based on the initial dimensions you give for the campus, does it ?
@ravi - when you site survey do you mean external site survey or the one on the wcs software (heap maps) ?
Also after generating heat maps - i know RED is a good signal strength but what about slight yellow - how good is this signal strength ? do we have a colour coding for the signal strenght ?

Rectangular polygon heat map using ssrs

Hi all
Until ssrs 2008 r2 including we had to implement an algorithm which calclated the coordinates of rectangular
polygons in the ssrs heat map (implemented using a map component over sql server geometry data type).
Is there any thing new regarding this problem in ssrs 2012 or 2014?
Maybe power view gives the ability to implement this kind of a "map" without going through the trouble
of preparing the coordinates for the map component??
This is not a geographical map where coordinates are given through GPS...
