Prime SNMP-polls Component although Deleted

Hello!
After deleting ("Add / Import / Manage Devices") a non-Cisco component Cisco Prime (v.4.2.2) still SNMP-polls this component every day at 12:00 and 16:00. I removed the
"Default Credential Sets Policy Configuration" entry for this component and an entry in the "Seed Device" text field with the IP-address of this component but still the component is polled.
Strange is that the log-file of the component shows an "SNMP: Auth. failure" although the credential set for the component has the correct SNMP community string configured.
Question now is how to remove the component from Cisco Prime so that the polling no longer occurs.
Any help is very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Jakob

From your job Browser check which jobs are scheduled for 12:00 and 16:00.
Also, have a packet capture with the IP of the device which is removed too what kind of snmp request and which community string is being polled.
Till than if you want to make an ACL on device and restrict the LMS server IP and associate it to snmp as well, if possible, can be an option.

  • Prime Infrastructure 2.0 possible to grab SNMP poll from WAN?

Our objective is to monitor all our network devices using Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 which include LAN site and WAN site. LAN site we have various of equipments example cisco router 3800, ASA 5510, Catalyst switch 6500 and other access switches. WAN site we have ASA 5520. Currently our ASA is located at ISP which has its own public IP. Question is, it is possible to monitor our ASA 5520 which at WAN site? Attached is our topology sample.
Note: We has no issues on monitoring LAN equipments.

    Hi Remysyaku
Are you able to do snmp polling on ASA from any other software like net-snmp etc.
I mean you need to check whther problem is snmp connectivity or PI is not able to manage ASA.
Also there is a bug due to which ASA5515x will be shown as unsupported in PI 2.0 but ASA 5520 and further should show managed correctly.
    Thanks

  • Cisco Prime SNMP trap logs

    Hi
In Cisco Prime Infrastructure, where can we find the snmp trap logs and can we do the snmp polling through webconsole, please suggest how we can troubleshoot if the device is not reachable, do we need to login through ssh and check or is there any other options available.
Can we find out the configuration details of the specific device, how we can do it.
    Please advice

    Hi abhishek ,
First of al you have to check on your devices SNMP is enable or not , its all depending on SNMP configuration , if possible check the running config , and paste the running configration , to solve your issue

  • Problem using JSF + ajax4jsf:poll component

    I have the following problem.
I have JSF page and ajax4jsf:poll component on it for polling the server.
There are also couple links and buttons on the page,
At first, when polling is not enabled the links and buttons work fine.
But after enabling polling and its' work, links and buttons stop working and the page is only reloaded when I click on them. Accoring to the logs action methods, binded to that links and buttons, are not invoked at all. And log shows that page is rerendered using ajax. But not pure JSF which we use in general case.
Does anybody have any ideas, why this can be? I looked through the internet and I could not find similar problems.
I will appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

I have never used it, but did you try the example as given at the related developer guide? Please note the a4j:region and the placement at its own form instead of in another/shared form.

  • Can i change snmp poll time in PI 2.0 and how to ?

Can i change snmp poll time in PI 2.0 and how to ?
    Thanks
    Keith Chan

    Hi Keith ,
yes it is 5 min by default .
You would need to create a new Monitoring template for this and deploy on the
devices on which you would like to change the polling frequency.
Go to Design --> Monitor Configuration --> Metrics
Choose the type of polling template i.e. Interface health or Device Health etc
Change the values and save it as a new template and deploy.
    Thanks-

  • Adf - Poll component demo

    Hi,
I tested the poll component demo of ADF EA19 example and got an error when using Internet Explorer 6 and clicking the button 'Using openWindow() API in ADF Faces Javascript library'. The debug Mode is started with the runtime exception: line 5135, Acess denied, Commonea19.js. When testing the same with Firefox no dialog pops up after the first use of this button.
I run the application with Tomcat 4.1.31.
Any suggestions? Maybe I configured something wrong?
    Thanks, Alex

The af:poll component has a timer listener. You can access the ADF binding container from the backing bean in your timer listener handler method to execute ADF action bindings or invoke methods on your ADF BC component's client interface.

  • SNMP Polling from UCS Manager 1.4

I am having trouble with SNMP Polling from UCS Manager 1.4(1j).
I seem to only get SNMP data from Nexus such as those described in (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus5000/sw/mib/reference/NX5000_MIBRef.html) I don't see any OIDs corresponding to those mentioned specifically for UCS listed in (ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/supportlists/ucs/ucs-manager-supportlist.html).
Documentation on the cisco web site said that UCS Manager 1.4(1) and above will have MIBS such as CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-EQUIPMENT-MIB available.
Is there a separate IP addresses I should poll for these or any specific things that need to be set up?
I am not sure how we can gain access to the UCS related MIB objects exactly. The description on SNMP enable for UCS Manager is very brief (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/gui/config/guide/1.4/UCSM_GUI_Configuration_Guide_1_4_chapter6.html#task_2054446421216050764)
It only described the community string set up under UCS Manager ->Admin->Communication Management -> Communication Services, bu didn’t really say anything about which IP addresses from the Management Interfaces should be used to get them.
Has anyone successfully polled data from say the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-EQUIPMENT-MIB and be able to help?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes indeed.
I learnt about the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-EQUIPMENT-MIB and the other Cisco UCS Manager MIB Support list by selecting UCS Manager under the Unified Computing drop down on this http page you quoted.
Is there anything specific from those docs you are referring to that would make it such that we get the Nexus MIBs rather than ones under UCS Manager?
The two IP addresses for Fabric Interconnect A and B under Management Interface only give us info from MIBs listed under the Nexus documentation only. Nothing fir say 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.15.
No SNMP data form the virtual IP address.
Not sure where data under 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.15 would be accessible

  • Duplicate processing by DBAdapter when using Distributed Polling with Logical Delete Strategy

We have DBAdapter based polling services in OSB running across two Active-Active clusters (total 20 managed service across 2 clusters),
listening to the same database table. (Both clusters read from the same source DB). We want to ensure distributed polling without duplication,
hence in the DBAdapter we have selected Distributed Polling option, meaning we are using "Select For Update Skip Locking".
But we see that sometimes, same rows are processed by two different nodes and transactions are processed twice.
How do we ensure that only one managed server processes a particular row using select for update? We do not want to use the markReservedValue option which was preferred in older version of DBAdapter.
We are using following values in DB Adapter configuration, the Jdev project for DBAdapter and the OSB proxy using DBAdapter are attached.
    LogicalDeletePolling Strategy
    MarkReadValue = Processed
    MarkUnreadValue = Initiate
MarkReservedValue = <empty as we are using Skip Locking>
    PollingFrequency = 1 second
    maxRaiseSize = 1
    MaxTransactionSize = 10
DistributionPolling = checked   (adds lock-n-wait in properties file and changes the SQL to SELECT FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED)
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi All,
Actually I'm also facing the same problem.
    Step I follwed:
    1) Created a job_table in database
    create talbe job_table(id, job_name, job_desc, job_status)
2)created a bpel process to test the Inbound distributed polling.
    3)Configure the DBAdapter for polling.
a)update a field in the job_table with logical delete.
b)select the field name form the drop down
    c) change the read value-->Inprogress and unRead value--->Ready
    d) dont change the value for Reserved value
    e) select the check box for "distributed polling".
    f) the query will be appended with "For update NoWait."
    g)click next and then finish.
    4) Then i followed the below steps.
To enable pessimistic locking, run through the wizard once to create an inbound polling query. In the Applications Navigator window, expand Application Sources, then TopLink, and click TopLink Mappings. In the Structure window, click the table name. In Diagram View, click the following tabs: TopLink Mappings, Queries, Named Queries, Options; then the Advanced… button, and then Pessimistic Locking and Acquire Locks. You see the message, "Set Refresh Identity Map Results?" If a query uses pessimistic locking, it must refresh the identity map results. Click OK when you see the message, "Would you like us to set Refresh Identity Map Results and Refresh Remote Identity Map Results to true?Ó Run the wizard again to regenerate everything. In the new toplink_mappings.xml file, you see something like this for the query: <lock-mode>1</lock-mode>.
    5) lock-mose is not changed to 1 in toplink_mappingss.xml
Can we edit the toplink_mappings.xml manually.
If yes, what allt he values Ineed to change in toplink_mappings.xml file, so that it will not pick the same record for the multiple times in clustered environment.
Please help me out this is urgent.
    Thanking you in advance.

  • DBAdapter polling with logical delete x distrib polling x DB rows per trans

    Hi all.
I'm trying to configure a DBAdapter with "logical delete" polling strategy, distributed polling (cluster environment) and a defined number of "Database Rows per Transaction".
When I check the box "Distributed Polling", the SQL generated gets appended by "FOR UPDATE NOWAIT"
However, when I set a value for "Database Rows per Transaction" the "FOR UPDATE NOWAIT" sql clause disappear.
Is this a bug, or some limitation related to the "logical delete" strategy???
    Thanks

  • Add component and Delete Operation in Process order Using COR2

    Hello,
I need to update any process order (Add components in it and delete some operations of it) on the save of the process order.
    Transaction for change PO: COR2.
I have found a badi to change in process order (WORKORDER_UPDATE) Method: BEFORE_UPDATE.
But this badi has all the parameters as Importing. Hence we can not change them.
If we use field symbols in this badi to change the values, will it make any other issues?
I have also identified a user exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 but this exit is called very late in the processing, and you cannot change data into that user exit ...check Note (86553 - Documentation on user exits).
Kindly post your valuable comments and answers.

    Hi ,
Possibility  , in C202 , user may have changes the BOM first and re-assign the phase  but in process order level Read PP master did not call
Another possibility manually change the process order component and assign this in Phase in COR2 .Please check  whether it has been added manually in order level .

  • Component Enhancement Deletion Problem in WEB UI

    Hi All,
I created an enhancement set for component ICMPP_BT_SVT and then I had to delete it. I also deleted the records created by enhancement in tables BSPWD_COMP_EXT and BSPWD_CMP_C_REPL.
But now I am facing exceptions  while I run this component. Please tell if I have missed any step for deleting the enhancement for this component.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Vishal

If you want to delete enhancment follow the steps below. It worked fine for me.
First determine the objects (for example, BSP applications, classes, controller and so on) that were created by the enhancement. You can view these objects using the view cluster BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT (SM34): Select the enhancement set, choose "Enhancement Definition" and then "Controller Substitutes".
Then go to the BSP components in the ABAP workbench (SE80) that are used to store the enhancements.  Search for the obsolete objects and delete them:
    - Search for controller -> Search for and delete controller class
    - Delete controller
    - If a view exists -> Delete view
Then delete the Customizing entries ("Controller Substitutes") from the view cluster BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT.
If configurations that contain fields from enhancements that are now deleted were created (BSP_WD_CMPWB), these must also be deleted manually.

  • Reg:Component Controller Deleted

    Hi,
I am using a DC which when it is builded frequently giving "Out of Memory" error. This has lead to a very serious problem which is "Component controller got deleted".Can anyone tell me the reason for :
1)How to rresolve "Out of memory" error?
2)Reason for deletion of component controller?
    Thanks,
    Durga Rao.

    Hi Durga,
We faced the same problem. But, in our case we were working in a server environment and due to the tight schedule we could not investigate the issue.
The possible reason for this is the NWDS eats up all the physical memory available.
You could try and change some of the java (JVM) for the NWDS or incearse the RAM or virtual memory.
