  • How to use objects from other SWCs in my BPM Integration Scenario

    Dear all,
I am experiencing some difficulties with the following. I have created a BPM Integration Scenario in a SWC. It contains a tranformation step in which a message from that SWC is split and mapped to two IDOCs. These IDOCs are imported in anothern SWC which I use for common objects. I have created Abstract Message Interfaces based on these IDOCs in this "COMMON" SWC, but the probIem is that I cannot use them in my scenario in the other SWC. Even though I have a usage dependency (Installation Time) created to the "COMMON" SWC.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
    Thanks in advance.
Will happily provide points for good answers.
    Auke

Thus, I would have to copy/import all objects to the same SWC?
Or create a separate SWC for BPM Integration scenarios?
I have tried to create the Abstract Message Interface in the SWC and reference it to the IDOC structure in the "COMMON" SWC. This results in a reference to an invalid object during activation. Even though the defined usage dependency.
    What's the standard solution?
    Cheers,
    Auke

  • BPM Integration Process that correlates 2 messages.

I have an BPM Integration Process defined that collects Deliveries for an Order number and when an Invoice arrives for the same Order number it merges the messages to produce another file that is for a 3rd party.
I correctly receive in the Delivery and the Invoice u2013 I can see them in SXMB_MONI with a checkered flag and they are directed to my BPM.  I can see this also in SXMB_MONI_BPE.  I can also see the correlation correctly found in both messages.  No error is reported by either SXBM.. transaction.
However it does nothing except receive the files u2013 I am expecting a transformation and then the send step to execute.
Start >  CollectIDOCBlock  > Collect Fork
    Fork1
Infinite Loop for Receive Delivery (Start process) and Collect in Container. It uses and activates Correlation OrderNum
    Fork2
Receive Invoice uses Correlation OrderNum (it does not activate the correlation)
At the end of the Fork (when Delivery collected and an Invoice is received)
It will then do the Transformation and Send Step.
    <End
I have tried various combinations of the correlations and which receive step starts the process.  Any ideas ?

Yes that did work.  Now does somebody know what exactly the FORK parameter number of branches does ?
    The SAPHelp is here
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
+You can specify the required number of branches and then define whether the process must run through all branches, or just a particular number of branches+
But it does not explain why you need to have 1 as necessary branches rather than 2.  There are 2 branches in the FORK - so why does having 1 as the parameter work and not 2.
In this SAPHelp for Message-Dependent Loop
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
it indicates to me that the parameter should be 2.
BUT the SAP pattern (BpmPatternCollectMessage) I have used as a base for mine has this as 1 and not 2.
Why is 1 the correct value and not 2 ??

  • PI 7.31 Dual Stack Using BPM/BRM and ccBPM

    Hello,
My client has decided to use SAP PI 7.31, because we have many ccBPM solutions, being used a long time, the idea is install the Dual Stack solution and keep using the ccBPM, at least for while.
But for the new integration solutions, we would like to use the AEX(Local AEX-Based) and connect to BPM and BRM, and maybe migrate the old solutions when possible.
Is it possible, use the both solutions( AEX/BPM/BRM and ccBPM) ? In this case, we will have all the benefits and great perfomance
when using the AEX/BPM/BRM(Local AEX-Based) solution, that we have in the single stack ?
    Best regards,
    Dylon.

    Hi, vishal jain.
Thank you! Checking your link, we will probably choose the third case:
If PI is installed as dual-stack, then PO, PI and BPM/BRM, will have to be installed with different SIDs.  PI on one SID and BPM/BRM on a different SID.
But the question remains... in this case is possible to use ccBPM and BPM/BRM, ok ?
And when using the BPM/BRPM, how is the performance and benefits ?
Are the same when using single stack solution ?
    Best regards!

  • Question on BPM Integration Process

    Hello Experts,
I am following this BPM article which is very similar to what I want to do.
We are using PI 7.1 without EP1.
I have an XML to IDoc scenario where my XML's external definition resides in a seperate SCV (SCV1) and my imported IDoc resides in a seperate SCV (SCV2). We did this to follow the Sender-Mapper-Receiver model. We have a different SCV for Mapping which holds MM and OM (SCV3). Now, I have my Abstract Service Interfaces for external definition in SCV1 and abstract interface for IDoc in SCV2. And, Integration Process in SCV1 (no good reason). But, now I am not able to access SCV2 abstract interfaces (IDoc abs) in my Integration Process since it sits in SCV1. I am thinking if I have to crate my external definitions, idoc, abstract service interfaces, MM, OM and Ingtration Process in one SCV instead of having them in three different SCVs. I was trying to follow sender-mapper-reciever model but seems like for BPM you need to have all your stuff in one SCV. Please help if you know how to resolve this issue wiithout getting rid of sender-mapper-receiver concept.
Thank you in advance for your help.
    - Mayur

Thanks Jose. I think creating dependencies is a away to go. I also found this this where Stefan suggested same thing.
So, now Sender (SCV1) and Receiver (SCV3) have been added under Mapper (SCV2)'s dependencies list and I will have my BPM Integration Process in the SCV2 which will give me access to both sender and receiver abstract service interfaces.

  • Usage dependency is created at Build time and installation time

    Hi,
The infrastructure guys have selected the usage dependency as Build time and Installation time, while creating software components.
"Y" SWC is created as depedency for "X" software component.
In SLD(software catalog),  we are able to view the Y component as dependency in X component(at both build time and installation time).  In usage dependency we are able to view Y component but when we click Y component in usage dependecy we are also able to view X component. Is there any problem with this ?
There is another issue. we are able to view basis object(in IR) in Y component but not in X component.  Actually as per the above configuration basis object in IR should appear in X component.
Please refer to another forum which may give you some more idea.("BPM - Message interfaces of one component are not appearing in another comp") pasted on 17 Nov,2006.
Please could you provide us the inputs.
    Thanks,

  • IDOC --BPM--IDOC AND FILE

    Hi Experts,
My scenario is idoc to idoc and file through BPM.
so I hve one integration process and 2 receiver. The prob is frm IP it is pointing to only file not to IDOC
    1) 1 sender agreement
    2) 3 receiver determination
    3) 3 interface determination
    please help me out..

Why are you using BPM for this?it is not good design.
If you want to still use bpm then
    1)1 receive step,
2)2 transformations steps(if or are executing Operation mapping in IP).
    3)2 send steps.
check your BPM design and monitor Integration process work flow.

  • SAP XI BPM Performance and statistics

    Hello all,
I am currently working on an integration using the BPM process within XI.  During our initial testing, we noticed that, when it comes to the BPM process, XI takes too long to process a message.  The actual size of the payload is really small and there is not much to the BPM process.
For example, I create one BPM process that takes a message and splits the message into separate documents for each target application and pass it on to another BPM process.  The second process takes the message and changes its format to what is expected by the receiving application.  It calls the target system and waits for a response.
Sender     Recv'r     Begin       End        End - Begin
    SAPPRG     Split     11:29:46  11:31:01 74.810089
    Split     Route     11:35:11  11:35:17  6.312764
    Split     Route     11:35:28  11:35:40 12.021294
    Route     DW     11:35:49  11:35:59 10.71562
    Route     MPR     11:35:50  11:36:00  9.579952
    DW     Route     11:35:59  11:35:59  0.50343
    MPR     Route     11:35:59  11:36:00  0.485403
         Total                0:06:14  1.907142533
We also noticed some gaps b/w a message been send and receive steps within XI.  I would like to know if there is any statistics on XI performance when it comes to processing messages within the BPM process and/or some documentation on how to improve performance using BPM.
    Please, advise
    Thanks..

If you are using Correlation etc, then try to use Local Correlation. SO that you can avoid the scope of the correlation to the entire process. By default it will be for entire process. Even you can make use Block step and try to group related steps and give the scope of the steps for the block.
    Hope this helps,

  • SAP Integration Kit installation - BW Publisher parameters

    Hi,
We are working on an BO GRC RM 3.0 scenario (Windows/SQL Server). As per architecture requirements we are currently installing BOBJ Integration Kit for SAP. However the following doubt comes up. As per architecture requirement also, and as it was defined for our scenario there is no need for an BI system (AS JAVA was installed only as EP usage type) if the reporting is going to be used with BOE Crystal. What we need there, is to install and BOBJ SAP Integration kit on BOE XI 3.1 server and to import Crystal transport files in AS ABAP (SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS, PI_BASIS, SAP_BW).
During the Integration Kit installation process we are being prompted for BW Publisher parameters where an RFc to a BW system is required. As mentioned earlier, we donu2019t have an BW system since BOE Crystal will be used instead of WebDynpro ABAP ListViewer...Are we using the incorrect Integration Kit? Should I install BI_Content Add-on installed on AS ABAP even when reporting is going to be used with Crystal Report?
Hoping being clear enough, please let me know if I can proceed with Integration kit installation in this way or should I have some other precautions for this particular solution implementation.
    Thanks and best regards.

    Hi,
in case you do not have SAP BW as part of the landscape then there is no need to install the publishing component

  • GRC: Landscape and Installation

    Dear All,
My Company want to implement SAP GRC Access Control, in many of source i've found that SAP GRC is divided into 3 sequences:
    1. Get Clean
    2. Stay in Clean
    3. Stay in Control
    My Question is:
    1. What is the software files to implement each of them sequences?
Actually i've read the master guide and installation guide from market place for this installation but still confused about this landscape of this installation, Please help me to install fresh SAP GRC 5.3 all above sequences? any other references?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
You are right, that the SAP GRC Access controls implementation is generally shown in three stages.
    1.Get clean
    2.Stay clean
    3.Stay-in-control
We have four products / modules in SAP GRC Access controls :
    1. Risk Analysis and Remediation (RAR)
    2. Enterprise Role Management (ERM)
    3.Compliant User Provisioning(CUP)
    4.Superuser Privilege Management (SPM)
GET-CLEAN : The access and authorization management starts with installation and configuration of RAR. RAR helps to identify all the existing SOD (segregation of duty) violations in the backend ERP systems. Once the SOD violations are identified, these will be addressed either by removing the risks from the system or introducing mitigation controls for the risks.
STAY-CLEAN : We have three products here to install and configure in this stage, i.e ERM, CUP and SPM.
ERM : It helps in preventing further introduction of SOD violations in to the system, by making the risk analysis of roles at the point of creation itself.
CUP : Ensures the user management (assignment of roles ) is free of SOD violations
SPM : Ensures the actions of superusers free of SOD violations by tracking and controlling their activities effectively
RAR, ERM, CUP and SPM have many more benefits which will be helpful in effective access and authorization management and I mentioned only the relevant points here.
Further, all these four  products are independant of each other and the sequence of configuration depends on the client's requirement. However, the integration of these products helps to reap the complete benefits of access control suite.
The general sequence of configuration would be:
    RAR -> SPM -> CUP -> ERM
The  Master, security, configuration guides of these products can be found @ http://help.sap.com/  businessobjects/accesscontrols and  the best practices @ SDN
STAY-IN-CONTORL : Involves continuous review of existing access and cuthorization managment to ensure that the ERPs are free of SOD violations.

  • SAP BO XI 3.1 Integration Kit installation problem

Trying to run SAP BO XI 3.1 Integration Kit installation (Windows) and getting error "Installation is unable to proceed because neither Crystal Reports 2008 nor Universe Designer were detected. To perform a client installation please install either Crystal Reports 2008 nor Universe Designer" Strange: both applications are installed on my machine. Will appreciate suggestions how to remedy this.

    Hi Ingo,
Thanks for the reference, but I am still a bit confused after reading through the posts in the note:  I have Universe Designer 12.1.0.882, Crystal Reports 2008 sp3 (cr2008_sp3_fullbuild) and XI3.1 Integration Kit installation package downloaded from the Service Marketplace portal Support page (SBOP INTGR. FOR SAP XI 3.1 SP3 Win Server on IA32 32bit ). Are these versions compatible?
    Thanks

  • ADF BPM Integration

    Hi,
We are integrating, BPM and ADF. For the human taskflow we are generating the ADF taskflow. Now problem is when we need to do even a single customization debugging is so complex and time consuming we need time 1-2 days even to fix simple issues which we can fix in ADF in 2-3 hours.
Is there any of doing hot deployment in BPM/ADF, it can save a lot of time in deployment.
    Eagerly waiting for answer.
    Thanks
    Vipim

    Vipim,
I'm not clear where your problem is, but a nice way to manage your BPM and ADF projects is to make them separate JDeveloper applications. That way if you need to change something in ADF, you change just the ADF application and redeploy just that - the BPM/SOA application remains unaffected.
Similarly, this if you change the BPM/SOA application you can redeploy it too without affecting the ADF application.
Just make sure your ADF application human taskflow is registered correctly in Enterprise Manager. Enterprise manager > SOA > Right-click soa-infra > Service Engines > Human Workflow > (your human task) > Administration. You'll need to have an entry here that points to your deployed ADF application. Though this will already be registered for you (most times!) when you to the deployment. This needs to be done for all your human tasks.
Some tutorials use SOA/BPM project and ADF projects in the same JDeveloper application. I find it easier to have the ADF project and the BPM/SOA project in different applications for maintenance purpose and to keep things simple. Splitting out and application out should be relatively straight forward. Just copy the application to another location and delete the projects that you no longer want in the application.

    Phil.
