  • How can you print a single page of a multipage report.

I am using Office 2003 pro, the LabVIEW Report Gen Toolkit, LabVIEW 7.0, and Windows 2000. I have created a lengthy report with the first page being a summary. I would like the user to be able to select; print the entire report, or just the first page. Any ideas?

There are two ways you could go about doing this. They both are somewhat straight forward.
    1) Calling a macro from LabVIEW in Word.
You could create a macro that would let you just print the first page and call this from LabVIEW when the user so desires. There is an example of how to call a macro if you use the example finder. Goto
Toolkits and Modules>>Report Generation for Microsoft Office>>Run Macro on Word Table
    2) You can actually modify the print VI that comes shipped with LabVIEW. For Microsoft Word it is called Work_Print.vi and it is located with in the exclsub.llb. This can be found at..
    ..\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\vi.lib\addons\_office\_exclsub.llb
You can also find this by digging through the Print Report.vi
Inside this VI you will see an Invoke node that has the fields To and From. If you specify the start and end page here, by connecting integer controls or constants, this will let you specify the pages to be printed out.
NOTE: If you modify the Work_Print.vi you may want to save it outside of this library and locally to your application directory. Therefore make sure any report VI you are using within your app. now dynamically references this local version of Word_Print not the one in the report library.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need more information or a more descriptive explanation.

  • Printing a Single Page Numbers File

I am a new iWork user and this is a page that I had made up in Numbers. To me it appears like an average stationery size page but when I try to print it I am amazed to find that it is split up into FOUR pages no less! How can I get what appears to be a normal size document to print on a single sheet?
    Thanks
    John

On the Numbers Menu bar > View > Show Print view.
There is also an icon on the bottom of the widow which will do the same.
Delete all rows and columns not required, set to landscape or portrait whichever fits the table better via the icons on the bottom of the window. Then use the slider, also on the bottom of the print view window, to change the size to fit onto one page if necessary..
You can do every thing in print view that you can do in the normal view.
    Best.

    Praveen,
    Please check the page setup.
Usually this problem occurs when the data overflows from current page, however there is nothing printed on the next page.
We had a similar issue and we ended up redefining the page properties and it worked.

  • Printing a single page document multiple times on a page

I have a half page document that I am trying to print 2 up to a page and make multiple copies of. Is this something that is possible with Acrobat? I know how to do it with publisher and it's pretty easy. The way that I have done it with my pdf's normally is to make multiple copies of it and bring them into the document as seperate pages. There has to be an easier way to do it though.

There was no need to post a second time. This is a double post and the answer was already posted for your question from yesterday. Click on your name in the post above and you can see the original post with the same name.
In any case, I hope you are able to get the job done now.

  • Why can't I Print just a single page of a document, before this printer I could select to pint 1 pg

Everytime I print a doc, I can select to print a single page but right after that selection an HP print window opens and the only option is Start Printing or Cancle Printers. The upper border of the popup says " HP Officejet 6500 "

Thanks BDAqua. It seems so silly that it's so easy in other contexts, but it's good not to keep on trying something futile

  • Form printing in a single page

    Hi All,
We have developed a smartform , suppose in an internal table i am getting 3 records for these 3 records i am getting 3 pages in out . But i want to display these 3 pages in a single page.
My requriement is like this in a single page  i want to print 3 pages data . Please help me how to restrict the pages.
    Regards,
    Satyapalli.

Check your smartform, inside main window you will find command node, remove the command or un-check the tick box goto next page in your command.. it will solve your problem... now all data will be printed in single page, if it cannot fit single page then it goes to next page...
Close the thread once your question is answered.

  • Printing Single Page as 2-UP in Pages

I have printing question. I'm attempting to print from Pages, but the issue I'm having probably applies to printing from any application in OSX.
I want to print a single-page document, two copies per page (2-Up) from Pages. The problem seems to be with the one page-ness of the document. The print dialogue allows for 2 pages per sheet printing, but it only works if your document has more than one page. I need it to pring the same page twice per page.
Is is possible to print this way in OSX Lion?
    Thanks.

    BMack,
Have you thought about having a 2-page document where the second page is a duplicate of the first page?

  • Printing single page from book

I would like to print a single page from an Aperture book containing 25 pages. I tried on my Epson 2400, but all 25 pages went to the printer.
    Thanks, Susan

Save as a PDF using the PDF button, then open that in Preview and print, selecting just one page.

  • Setting up new book with single pages but facing preview and breaking up pages at print time

I have a new book to design.  Last time on a similar project (with 100 pages) I had a massive cry at print time as the printer wanted single pages with bleeds. I had set up the book with facing pages.  When I unchecked to non facing pages I lost all my formatting and margins...   I spent hours fixing this up.... I do need to show double spreads to the client as we go along and I do want to work in a mode that shows both left and right next to each other (ie in a book format).  What do you suggest? I have been looking at setting up as single pages side by side and then at print time I think I can move all my right hand pages over with the break up page function and then fix up all my bleeds manually.? thanks in advance

no my printer needs 5mm bleed all around for the books I am doing and wants single pages with crops and bleeds
I will check the link and hope ok
I do prefer to design with facing pages but as I said it was a nightmare for me last time when setting for print
You confuse single pages with non facing document.
Every page has to be its own page. When your document has facing pages you have to set up a document with facing pages. There is no way around. Otherwise you will have problems with the left and the right page number and a lot of other issues.
If the printer needs single pages you have to export your document as PDF with single pages. That means deactivate the spread option in the PDF export dialog.
    Here I have an example:
    Situation:
In the 2 spreads on the top you don't have a problem when you export to a single page PDF. The bleed is taking material from the opposite page. It is ok and not disturbing.
But the bottom spread is different. Here you see a design break. It would be disturbing, if you take material from the opposite page. In many cases you would not realize it, but there are several situation where it might be a problem like glue or o-wire bindings where the bleed might become visible.
So you have to go to the page panel.
You have to select the spread first, then you go to the fly-out menu and select don't "allow selected spread to shuffle" pages. The numbers of the spread will appear in rectangle brackets.
Now you can drag the right (or left) page away from their counterpart on the spread. First you have to deselect any pages from that spread, so you can click on any thumbnail of any other page of any other spread. Then click on the right page of that spread. Only this pages has to be selected.
You see the icon of your curser changes as it is in the image above. Drag it as far as you see a thick vertical line. Then release sthe curser.
As result you have now seperate pages. You need only to extend the image, here on page 6. I have taken an image which is large enough, so I need only to move the image frame edge to the bleed.
When I export a single page PDF, as your printer wants I don't get problematic bleed from the opposite page.
You can download this example as IDML file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnotrl1ihe7umh7/SinglePages-Spread%20Ordner.zip

  • Safari printing single page iPad?

I have searched and searched for a solution to this but cannot find one...How can I print a single page from safari on my iPad? For example...when a page is really long and it takes 4 pages to print it, how can I print only page 3?

If you go to print in OSX you get the option to print page 2-5 if desired out of a 20 page document. I know it's not an option in iOS standard print from safari and I thing that is unfortunate as page range is an option in other programs such as Dropbox or pages so I want to know if there is a way to get this option that some forum member has found.
Thanks anyone and everyone who has any answer of this. I don't post usually because I am a very experienced Mac user since 1986 and don't run into difficulty unless it is with non standard usage of systems.

  • Print single page?

Hi - I am now confused as a new Mac user. I am used to being able to go to print page in explorer (and using Win XP) I will just get the page I am viewing printed. I wanted to print some information from a PDF file and selected 'print page' from the print menu but it printed out the whole article. Also won't copy and paste. I have tried this with various documents so what is going on and how do I print a single web page???????
    Thanks Ann

    Hi Ann,
Just to clarify, you're in Safari and you've clicked on a link which has opened a PDF file in the browser window, and now you wish to print a single page from the multipage PDF. Is that right?
Now having brought up the 'Print'-dialog, and expanded the dialog sheet using the arrow button next to the "Printer"-field, you've changed the "Pages"-setting below from "All" to "From", and given it a page range, before hitting "Print". Is that what you've been trying to do?

  • How can i print a one page spread sheet without having it spread over several sheets of paper none of which is complete?

I have an iMac less than 1 year old with lion o/s and numbers. i have been spoiled in the printing of spread sheets on PC's. I find it impossible to print only 1 page when printing a single page spread sheet. The result is my spread sheet spread over several sheets of paper with no usable spread sheet printed. Can anyone help this 86 year old man who has been to the Apple Store twice to learn this but I still have trouble. Thanks in advance for your help. jim

    Jim,
    Take heart.  We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s).  A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics.  Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
    "View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages.  If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:
Here a table is too big to fit on one page:
slide the "Content Scale" slider so the content fits:

  • How to save ONE single page of pdf document?

I have a 115 page pdf document that I can open in Adobe Reader. I want to email just ONE page of this file to someone. How do I save just that one page from the file (as opposed to sending the entire pdf document)?
I know, lame question. Thanks for any help!

If you're on a mac forget about Acrobat on Lion (maybe even Snow Leopard and Leopard too). I ran into this issue on Lion so here I am....
you have to go through the routine of "printing to",, With Acrobat go to the printer preferences panel > select pdf, select save as pdf... only to find you cannot and get some even more riduclous and useless pop up telling you to chose file save as.... which only lets you save the entire document! Utter
waste of time and space...and not what you are after.
Solution... Open the pdf with Preview, then Cmd + P will bring up the same dialog box mentioned above with pdf down bottom left... First enter the page number into the pages option's From dialog... eg From 40 to 40 (= page 40 only) then hit the pdf bitton and dave as,,, Works perfectly with Preview but no chance with Acrobat!!!! I am starting to get the feeling that this product is fast becoming redundant as it seemingly is not up to basic operations such as printing or saving off a single page anymore. Plenty of freeware solutions are now available on the net - some of which I am quite sure would handle this... but since preview is installed on mac by default.... why not?
After all this have a good think abou whether you will or even need to Upgrade Acrobat the next time round. It seems the more 'advanced' Adobe get the more useless certain products are becoming.... Don't know if it's just me...
    UPDATED Sept 11
Seems there is a way to print a single page with Acrobat X.. but not at all as straightforward as mentioned above...
You need to go View>Tools> Extract, then select the page you want and save it as a seperate pdf. Then open the new pdf and print that... Wonderfully intuitive on Adobe' s part....
