Print a year callender

is it possible to print a year planner with ical or even look at one i am new to ical and would like some help any ideas

Unfortunately the year view is an often requested feature but is still unrealised in iCal. It's not possible at this time.
If you really need it you could export the calendar and import it into Outlook or another package that allows a year view. I think in a year view it would leave a very small amount of space for detail regarding daily entries and would negate the usefulness a bit.

After selecting "Print...," you should have an option to select a range of Months:
Next, depending upon your printer options, you may be able to choose "Pages per Sheet."
...and then "Paper Handling."

I am looking at switching back to Calendar from BusyCal and would like to be able to print a year planner. Can't see how to do this within Calendar, any ideas?

If you mean you want to change a color of a calendar category or create a new one, you cannot do that, what is pre-loaded is what you get and cannot be edited.

Printing a yearly calendar with iCal?

I want to print a yearly calendar in both letter and half letter format with my iCal, how do I do that?

No, I don't see this option either... I've exhausted every option inside iCal and my advanced print settings.
The only other suggestion is to go to iCal and "provide iCal feedback" within the menu bar and request this feature.
I will do this as well.
In the meantime a workaround is:
Select "month view" in the print settings - select 12 months to print and select "ok".
Then your printer options will open up.
From there click the Layout drop down tab, and then select "16 pages" per sheet.
Then they will all print on 1 page... though the numbers are too small to really be deemed "legible".
You may want to mess around with zoom settings after you arrange 16 pages per sheet.
This is the only workaround to get "close" to what you want to do.

No. Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days. Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.

is it possable to print a sasco style calander from ical within lion .it apears to be able to print a silly colourd yellow to red chart showing how many events on a day but no descriptions i would love it to print it out in a month by month in a year planner style and send it to my large format printer.can this be done

Hello Karin,
your second approach is the one I would also choose.
just make sure to set the control parameters accordingly (i.e. when calling the actual smartform, not when retrieving the name):
1st smartform: control_parameters-no_open = space
control_parameters-no_close = abap_true
2nd smartform: control_parameters-no_open = abap_true
control_parameters-no_close = space.
This way, both forms will be in one spool request and you will not get the popup for the second one (provided, that's what you want).

Print a year on 1 page?

I am struggleing to find an option to print all 12 months on one page similar to MS Outlook. Is this even possible?

If you search Google for 2010 calendar, you will find options that may help.
I suppose you could send feedback to Apple requesting a yearly calendar view, and maybe if they get enough requests it will be added as an iCal option.

This issue has been resolved - my Support Advisor, Edgar, was able to discern what was causing the problem.
It appears that, despite years of never experiencing this, one of the latest ipod updates actually altered my device's personal settings and changed it to "Manual" for all synchronizing; even performcing Factory Restores did not change it back to being automatic.
My ipod is working as good as ever now thanks to Edgar. If anyone else is having this problem, please make sure you check your device's settings in iTunes and see if "Manual" is checked - even if you never changed the settings yourself and have no reason to suspect that to be the problem, as was the case here. If it is checked - uncheck it to enable automatic syncing.
So relieved this was not a much more serious problem. I've missed having my music on the go. Thanks, Edgar!

Printing the year picture.

When in photos you can show a year worth of pictures on the screen in ios7. Has anyone ever tried or been able to print this. I thought it would look cool to print an 8 by 10 or whatever and have a few hundred mini pics on one print.

One option would be to snap a picture of your screen while viewing a year's worth of photos, then sharing that image from the Camera Roll to a print source.

I have an HP Photosmart 5520 all in one printer and a MacBook Pro. Bought the MacBook Pro in Jan 2013 and the printer in Dec 2012. I was able to print to the wireless printer up until June 2013. In September, when I tried to use them together, I could not print. During the period between June and Sept., my laptop software was updated. I have tried to update the HP software on my laptop, but could not. What can I do to use this printer with my MacBook Pro? Please help!

The MacBook Pro is running at least 10.7.

If you choose the "list" option in View on the print dialog box and uncheck everything at the bottom except "To do items" you may be able to get what you're looking for. It appears that the list includes all todos including those without due dates, so you might have to do something to assign due dates to all your todos and in iCal preferences restrict the visibility of todos outside of a certain date range. Unfortunately, you can't save any of this work into a standard report (at least not that I know of) - the print dialog in iCal starts from scratch every time you invoke it. Hope that helps at least some.

Why can't I print out a year view calendar?

I was thrilled to find we now have a Year-View in iCal with OSX Lion, but now I find I cannot print it out. Every year, I like to print a few year-view calendars to keep in different places. Right now, I do not have any calendar program that will let me do that. What is so wrong with letting us print a year view calendar?

As a work around:
When displaying the year view, switch to full screen view and type Command(⌘)-Shift-3 to take a screen shot.
That will store a picture of the screen on your Desktop. Print the picture.

Year/Annual planning/view option in iCal

I would like to find a way to print a Year/Annual planning/view option in iCal, but I could not figure out a way to do it.
Does anybody knows how to do do it?
If it is not possible, can anyone recommend a script/plugin to achieve it? Or another software that can import iCal calendars and then print Year/Annual planning/view?

Me too! Please please someone reply to this request! This is a vital option that needs to be made available as a view AND print option.
Some small improvements to the print dialogo window would also be appreciated:
I think it would be more efficient if the calendars/subscriptions to print were all OFF by default: I would imagine it is more often the times you are printing a selected calendar, rather than all of them together.
The frame containing the calendars also needs to be expandable making them all visible at a glance. Scrolling through lists in a dialog is a no-no (or for Windoze).

I work a lot with projects of a few weeks length and I would really like to be able to see these in a year view in iCal. Does anybody now an addon or tool which can do that for me?
So far I just printed the year, several month per page, and saved it as pdf - which is not ideal!

Okay, I found out, that holding alt and clicking the arrows in iCal avoids the animation. But that is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a way to use the normal keyboard shortcut cmd + arrow keys for navigation, but without that time-consuming animation.
but currently it looks like there is no solution for this problem.

Can you view a whole year in iCal, rather than just day, week, month?

Does anyone know if there is a plug in or something (alternative app. even) that allows you to view the whole YEAR rather than just a month at a time? I want something that will function almost like a wall planner.

I asked this question about two years ago! I'm surprised we still can't print a year calendar. I've been using an Apple Calendar program from 1996, which was fun because I could add icons, and frames, etc. I was using it up until last week when I installed Leopard. Gone is Classic and my calendar program along with it!
Another problem I've had with iCal is the inability to print it in portrait mode. There was a work around on these boards that worked, but doesn't now. Sigh
