Print all linked documents (was Re: Adobe Reader X Issues)

Hi Jeff
Is there any way to print pdf   via print all linked document  option from  internet exploer?
Thanks ahead for your help .

Are you trying to print to a pdf file with Adobe Reader? Are you viewing a pdf file in Internet Explorer using the Reader plug-in and trying to print to a physical printer?
In either case the answer is no.

  • I hate this, now all pdf documents open with Adobe reader x

Until recently all pdf documents opened nicely with Adobe Acrobat which was installed with the creative suite CS5. Recently I had to update the Acrobat plugin for Firefox and I don't know what exactly was installed but somehow I ended up with Adobe Reader x on my computer and now when I open pdf documents from my hard drive they all open with an Adobe reader which I hate. How that reader managed to install and change my experience without me noticing? Now I have to change file associations. Do I need this reader and what is it for when I have a full version of Acrobat?
I will greatly appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, once Reader is installed, uninstalling it will require you to repair your Acrobat installation. You should be able to right click on a PDF and select Open With and set Acrobat as the default. Also, be sure that Reader is not part of the startup of Windows (you can use Start>Run>msconfig to check that) and also open current tasks (ctrl-alt-del) and be sure AcroRd32 or similar file is not running in the background. Be aware that AcroTray is part of Acrobat and is needed for PDF creation.

  • Print from Windows Explorer Right Click (Adobe Reader X, WinXP)

When I right click on a batch of PDF files in Windows Exploer (WinXP) and click "Print" Reader used to print them all to
my default printer.  With Reader X windows waits patiently for me to close Reader before printing each file.

    Take a look at: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/797804?tstart=0

I am also getting exactly the same problem, highlighting multiple pdf files right clicking and choosing "print" prints the first document, fails to close the adobe x window and sits there patiently untill it's manualy closed and then the next document prints  - repeat - loop.
Have this happening on just about every windows xp machine in the office that I try it on and any and all versions of "Adobe X" that I care to install.
would love a fix for this, reinstalling 9 manually on every PC would waste a day of my life.

  • How to print all links in a webpage. IE has had this for over 10 yrs.

This has been an option in IE since day 1, but I do not see any way to have Firefox print all links in a web page.

Firefox Has an add-on called Download them all which will enable you to print all links in a webpage. Here is the link to the add-on:

I hope this will help :)

  • Why dont i ever see downloaded pdfs in the "documents section" in adobe reader on my ipad?

Why dont i ever see downloaded pdfs in the "documents section" in adobe reader on my ipad? They only stay in the Acrobat.com section and when I try to move them the "documents" partion is not listed as an option. Only the folders i have within acrobat.com are listed

The pdfs have been uploaded to Acrobat .com (from my computer) I open the Adobe reader on my ipad and see them in the acrobat partition of the reader. I tap on them and they open.  To test whether they were truly downloaded ,I turn off wifi and they still open. I consider this "downloaded" BUT... they stay in the acrobat.com partition of the reader. Nothing ever goes or lives in the "Documents" partition..nor can I move anything there.....Why not? What is the"documents" partition there for if nothing lives or can be moved there?

First show the Documents list, and in the upper left tap the Edit button. A toolbar in the upper left you'll see a folder icon with a + superimposed. Tap that and you'll be prompted to Create a Folder. Enter the folder name and tap the Save button and your new folder will appear in the Documents list.

You can view non-PDF documents, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF, in Adobe Reader for iOS.  However, you are not able to add comments or edit non-PDF documents in Adobe Reader.
To open a non-PDF document in other iOS app.
Tap anywhere in a document to display the toolbar in Adobe Reader.
Tap the Share icon on the right side of the toolbar.
Select Open In... from the menu.
Select an appropriate app to open the document.
Alternatively, you can convert a Word/Excel/PowerPoint/RTF document to PDF using the paid subscription service called Adobe PDF Pack and add comments to a resultant PDF document.

Oh, and if you want to use one of your print presets, do it like this:
    app.documents.everyItem().print(false,
    app.printerPresets.itemByName("myFabPreset"));

  • How can I silently print all PDF documents that are opened automatically?

For a special terminal PC I want to print all PDF's that are opened to be printed automatically and without user interaction. The PDF is loaded in an iFrame in the browser, this PDF then needs to be printed.
I don't want to modify the PDF's, the PDF's are supplied by another resource.
I was thinking about using a folder level script that prints each PDF document automatically as soon as it is opened, but I don't know how to accomplish this.

    Macropanther wrote:
I don't think the installation process will allow that unless the printer is connected.
Incorrect. Win or Mac, you can install a printer driver w/o the printer being connected.
I have tried MS PowerPoint (which can't seem to accept paper wider than 56 inches) and have  used NeoOffice Draw
You're using the wrong tools. PP shouldn't even be in consideration; I don't know about NeoOffice, but I tried its cousin LibreOffice, and it has issues with custom paper sizes; which is not surprising, given what these apps were designed for.
What you need for actual banners (not web page banners) is a vector drawing tool or a DTP app. I'd say Illustrator or InDesign, but Adobe CS is expensive, and, if you're thinking of PowerPoint for this job, you're not ready for it.
You can try Pages; although not quite DTP, it can do the job and it's inexpensive. There are other options, such as Swift Publisher (a DTP app) or Intaglio (a drawing app) -- both are more expensive than Pages, but still affordable; or you can go open source with Scribus (DTP) or InkScape (vector; requires X11). You already know the ups and downs of using open source. (These are just examples; you can find others if you look for them.)
Although it's better to have Kinko's printer driver, to make sure of the correct options, you don't actually need it to print to PDF. You should be able to define a custom page size (eg, 12in × 72in) and create the PDF from it. Any app which uses the Mac OS X standard print function should be able to do it.

  • Outlook not printing all PDF documents

    Hello,
When I print an e-mail with multiple PDF documents in the attachments, it's not guaranteed all documents are printed.
For example: I get an e-mail with 6 PDF files. I print the e-mail and include the attachments. The e-mail is printed, but not all 6 PDF files. It could be 3, 4 or 5. This means I have to check all pages everytime I print.
Weird thing is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My colleague has the same issue. The problem occurs on multiple printers. Other files like .jpg or Word print with no problems at all. We work with Outlook 2013.
When I print the e-mail I get a pop-up that the document is sent to the printer (this is the actual e-mail). After that Adobe Reader opens en I see multiple messages that the document is sent to the printer. I'm guessing that not all documents are opened properly and that's why they're not printed. Is this a known issue? Because I found a previous discussion for Outlook 2010, but that one remained unanswered.
    Please help me out.
    Kind regards,
    Rense H.

Here's a link to the page in question (although there are other pages as well):

What I found is that if I print to my main printer (HP 4300), the gridlines of the pictures in the middle of the page don't show up.
If I print to the Xerox 6360DT that I have, the picture shows up fine.
There must be a setting in the HP properties that's making it not work but I haven't been able to figur out what the setting is.
