Print and even print preview comes out unreadable. Do i need to change any internal print options. My printer works with the old firefox and windows internet explorer for the SAME document. I only have a problem printing while in firefox 4.0.

My printouts from web pages using the previous firefox and internet explorer products work.

There's a bug in 4.0b12, which is fixed in 4.0RC.
Open '''Help > About Firefox''' and it should check for and install the update. If it doesn't, use the '''Check for Update''' button in that "About" dialog.

IChat worked with my old AT&T DSL Internet, now I have Comcast and error!!

About two months ago I switched from AT&T DSL to Comcast High Speed Internet. iChat worked perfectly for me with AT&T but now that I have Comcast I havent been able to log into iChat since. It connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects, repeatedly and then I get an error saying ive tried logging in too many times and must wait a few minutes before logging in again. Can anyone please help me? Ive tried looking up and down these forums repeatedly and nothing has helped.
*Might I add, AOL Instant Messenger works fine on my new Comcast High Speed Internet but iChat wont. I thought iChat ran off of AOL Instant Messenger? Something isnt right and I could really use some help!

The Home Folder is your Little House icon inside opening the Hard Drive then Users as well as seeing it in th side bar of any Finders window (if you are displaying the side bar.)

The Icon in the DOCK is a form of Alias to the actual app in the Applications folder.
Is it still showing the iChat icon of has it become a pencil, brush and ruler ? (May have a No Entry sign on it)
Can you open the Hard drive and look in (the) Applications (folder) and tell us if iChat will launch from there ?

Preview in browser internet explorer for mac

I use a Mac running Leopard and use Safari as my web browser.
When I try to "preview in browser" in DW, Internet explorer is not
available. Can I run it on mac and where do a get a compatible
version--and preferably without spending a lot of $.

internet explorer for the mac hasn't been supported by MS for
years. Honestly, it's not worth even looking at it.
To view your work in IE for win users, consider getting
something like VMWare Fusion or Parallels or just simply using
BootCamp (which comes with Leopard), to install Windows XP/Vista
onto your Mac.

USB audio hardware: what works with iBook 366 clam and OSX 2.8?

I just bought a Behringer UAC202 USB audio interface. My iBook will recognize that it is attached and will give me audio 'out' settings, but it will not configure any audio 'in' settings. It works fine on my iBook G4 with OSX 4.11 however.
Is this a Behringer problem? Do I need to use OSX Panther on the old iBook? Is there a problem with the old clamshell's as far as USB audio in?
Anyone know a cheap USB audio hardware that works in this case? I want to dedicate this great old machine to some easy audio useage.... using the Polar RAM looper instrument in Digital Performer..... and nothing else..... I'm not recording audio to my hard drive..... just want to get audio in and out of the iBook to and from Digital Performer.

Driver support in Panther is pretty limited with regards to newer hardware as far as i've experienced. If there isn't any drivers offered, either by the company or via third party, then you may be stuck.
The only way that i get audio in on my Blueberry iBook is with the Apple iMic that i picked up at an Apple Store a few years ago. It works fine under panther, tiger and leopard.

Windows Internet Explorer 7 has a Favorites feature that Firefox does not have?

The feature which I will like to see in Firefox is the ability to type a first letter of the Bookmark that I want to get to in the listing.
In Windows Internet Explorer 7 favorites listing, I can easily reach the part of my favorites list by typing the first letter of that part of the list I wish to reach. Obviously this makes this easier than having to scroll down to the part of the list I want using Firefox Bookmarks.

Look, let me be helpful to you in your efforts to help me and others who have this question. What you need to do is tell us step by step what to do. For example, say you were telling us how to open up the Firefox browser. Here's an example of proper instructions:
1. Press Start on your computer.
2. Look for the Firefox Icon in the left panel and click on it.
3. That will start the Firefox browser.
Look, that's a simple example which, I'm sure, everyone can relate to. What's important is that you see what I mean by giving proper instructions.
Remember Cor-el, some users do not have your level of understanding. So, you may have to assume you're talking to someone who is sort of brand new to this browser.

It sounds like you have the wrong printer selected.
When you get the Print window, pick another printer from your printer dropdown. You seem to have a fax printer selected instead of a physical printer.

Without knowing what you did and exactly what happened (error messages) all I can suggest is:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When I do a search, the file comes up under the new name, but it does not show a path, and even though preview shows the contents, I can't open the document (Powerpoint) and I can't move the document. I tried "Copy" and paste but it doesn't work. I tried "Share" with Airdrop and iChat, but the file is inaccessible. When i try to rename the file, it says the filename is too long.
When I try to open it, it says the alias is not good, and asks if I want to fix the alias. I'm afraid to do that and lose all access to this document.
Right now, it feels like a ghost document - it is on the computer intact, but it is in an undisclosed location and inaccessible.
Please help!!

I was able to resolve this by repairing permissions, even though no permissions error was listed specifically for that file.
I could also have recovered it through Time Machine, but I'm interested in knowing how not to have this happen again!
I was afraid of rebooting and possibly losing track even of the ghost.
I did not try EasyFind - I'll keep that in mind next time.

This what my IT replied with:
That teh MacBook cannot connect with RWW because it requires Active-X to connect. That MAc browsers (Safari) do not use Active-X but only Windows (IE) uses Active-X control.
It would seem to me that there must be a way around this. Any help?

Can't print in Windows Internet Explorer (64-Bit)

Dell Inspiron 560 (Win7 64 bit) with a HP Deskjet F4400 printer that was
Installed with the latest drivers from HP site. (including Smart Web Printing)
Printer will print in the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer and all other programs
like Word and Excel but will not print in the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer.
Also, Smart Web printing is shown in the 32-bit version but cannot be
found in the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer.

I'm in the same position, the store said they didn't know of any new release, so i bought my macbook pro to find out about mountain lion. I really hope that i'm not going to pay for the upgrade. New to apple, also last month bought my Ipad 3, really thought that Airplay would have been on my book pro, nope, waste of time.........need that update to use it. Back i the box then, get the windows 7 ultimate pro back out until then.
