Print at Bottom of Page option causing extra page at end of report

I'm using the option 'Print at Bottom of Page" in Section Expert for some invoices I'm creating. For some reason it's causing me to have an extra page at the end of the report. If I unselect this option, the extra page goes away. I need to be able to have this group footer print at the bottom at the page but not have the extra at the end of the report. This is the first time I've used this option so maybe I've missed something. All other sections after the group footer I want printed are suppressed. Any ideas?

I guess I didn't have the report footer suppress, I just had it minimized in size. I suppressed it and it seems to be fine.

Try stopping Safari followed by resetting your phone: double-tap the home button, locate Safari at the bottom (swiping if necessary), tap and hold until it wiggles, tap the minus sign. Now reset: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appers first), then release. Printing on Wireless Network with iMac G4 EXTRA Page with jibberish.

I hope to find an easy fix. In my wireless network environment there are 6 PCs and one iMac G4 Flat Panel (OSX 10.4.6) that share a wireless router, and 3 wireless print servers that have 4 different printers attached.
Everything works very well, except, for when the iMac prints to the Lexmark Optra S 1250 printer. The very first page printed (everytime) has one line of jiberish like this:
[%-12345X@PJL JOB @PJL LJOBINFO USERID = "username" HOSTID = "imac15.local"@JPL S
After this very first page prints, everything that follows is printed perfectly. How do I turn off whatever it is that causes this page to print? When I print to any of the other printers it doesn't occur. It does not occur when any of the PCs print to the Lexmark either.

The question here imho is does it have to be wireless?
If the router is close to the Macs surely Ethernet would resolve any issues and provide fast performance.
If the XP machine is reliable wirelessly leave it wireless, you can always connect that using Ethernet if you want to transfer larger files to / from the Macs. This will also give you some convenience.
If things must be wireless then it'll depend on how much you want to spend. Since you'll need a new fast a or g router (avoid pre-n now, wait for something confirmed to work well with Intel Mac and others). The G4 would need a Wireless Ethernet bridge to give a fast connection since USB 1.1 is just too slow or Ethernet again.
So it depends on you realy and the location of the computers. Nothing wrong with a mixed Ethernet / Wireless network easy enough I have one
Nothing mentioned on router site about incompatibility with Mac OS 10.4.8. Once the router is configured using the web interface or software supplied you'll need to config the computers accordingly.

How to Deactivate or remove "Remove from Page"option for iview/page tray

Hi,
I would like to deactivate the "remove from page" option in the iview tray for ESS screens(WD iviews). I have made Show tray to NO and it hided the whole tray also tried Show remove to NO but no effect. But instead i would like this option (Remove from page) alone to be deactivated or removed.

Remove from page is the correct setting you need to change. If it doesn't seem to be working, this is normally because a content administrator has done something wrong with the delta links. For example, if an iView is included in a page as a copy (not as a delta link) changing the iView won't change the behaviour in the page. Instead you need to change the iView in the page. This is worst practice.

Assuming you have iPhoto 9 (11) give this a try: make a temporary, backup copy of the library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Since only one option can be run at a time start with #3 followed by #4 and #1 as needed.
3 - try adding a page after each fix.

Small tablix causes extra page in pdf

A small tablix causes an extra white page in a pdf. When removing the tablix the white page also disappears.
The report is in landscape , first column of the tablix 2,13cm and the repeating column header is 1,2cm. How tall or small i set these properties, as the tablix obviously takes only 1/3th of the report width when previewing the report, still whitespace seems
to be rendered causing an extra white space.I have included the tablix in a rectangle but it does not seem to help.
Any idea?

According to your description, I have taken a sample test in my environment. I can reproduce it when the width size is not appropriate in the report. To fix this issue, please refer to the following steps:
Click on Report > Report Properties window.
Make a note of the values for Page width, Left margin, Right margin.
Click on Body > Body Properties window.
Make a note of the value for Width.
Please make sure that Body Width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width). When we see blank page being rendered it is almost always because the body width plus margins is greater than the page width.
Besides, if the tablix is a matrix, because of the column group can expand to multiple columns, we should according to the following rule:
Body Width + Extra expanded column width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width).

Safari's mail link and mail page options cause system wide hang

I am having a very odd and serious problem with mail/safari in the 10.4.6 update
When I select mail contents of this page or mail link to this page from the file menu and mail is NOT open it causes the entire system to hang and the only option is to reboot
I tried to mail a page when mail was open and I didn't have any trouble
I have seen several posts that are similar but don't involve safari's mail link issue
If someone knows of a more appropriate area please direct me there

I usually don't use this feature with the Mail.app quit but it shouldn't make any difference.
As a test, I quit the Mail.app and used Mail Contents of This Page from Safari. The Mail.app launched without any problems and a new Mail.app message opened with the contents of the selected web page copied to the message.
As a first step, I suggest Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption for system troubleshooting procedures and when doing so, follow all steps/instructions in the order provided.
Did you check the hard drive for any directory problems with Disk First Aid repair via Disk Utility when booted from your Tiger install disc before installing the 10.4.6 update and did you quit all running applications before the install?

How to remove "Subscribe to this page" option on bookmarked pages?

When you have bookmarked a page, a button is displayed in the "awesome bar" that gives the option to subscribe to the page.
Is there a way to remove this button from the toolbar?
I hate this button being in my URL/search bar and have not been able to find a way to remove it anywhere.

go into your about:config and filter "extensions.abhere2.bmsmenu.subscribe"
double click and set the value to false.

KDE: margins incorrect when printing because of fit-to-page option

I'm attempting to print a PDF file with Okular (happens with other KDE/Qt applications as well) to my HP Deskjet D2530 printer. The PDF has one inch margins on all sides, but when printing, additional space is added to the margins.
The page prints perfectly using lp:
$ lp /Path/to/PDF.pdf
Should also note it prints perfectly with non-KDE applications such as epdfview.
I turned on debug mode in CUPS to find what options KDE sends to CUPS. I narrowed it down to the "fit-to-page" option causing the issue.
I can reproduce the incorrect margins exactly with this command:
$ lp -o fit-to-page -o PageSize=Letter /Path/to/PDF.pdf
Now the issue I'm having is disabling this. I see nowhere in the KDE print dialog to disable fit-to-page, and have searched CUPS' documentation for a way to disable it on that end, but could not find anything. Searching for this issue has similiarly turned up nothing. I've also tried adding "fit-to-page=false" to ~/.cups/lpoptions with no result. I can't be the only one who has dealt with this. Is there some configuration option I'm missing somewhere or should I report this as a bug upstream?

Acrobat 7 Extra pages with comments

Using Acrobat 7 and adding a coment using the Text Tool. When printing the document (14 pages) an extra page is printed after each document page. This extra page say, "No cpomment on this page." Any know how to prevent the extra pages from printing?

Missing Format Text, Insert, and Edit Source, etc Options on Some Pages

I’m having trouble understanding why certain pages have more edit options than others. I’m new to Sharepoint Workspace 2010 and I’ve been reading/ researching for answers for 2 days now. I tried to HyperSnap in some pictures however it will not allow me
to until my account is verified and it's not sending a verification email, sorry!
Issue:
On some pages, I have the edit pencil with lots of great edit options such as Format Text, Insert and Edit Source. (This is good!)
On some pages I have no edit pencil, but when I go to Page
à Edit Page à I get few edit options, not including Format Text, Insert or Edit Source. (This is not good)
After reading other somewhat similar posts, I noticed that on the pages where I get lots of edit options, they show SitePages in the URL. Where I get few edit options, SitePages is not in the URL.
Is there a fix so that I can have the expanded edit options in all of my pages? Thank you for your help!

In SharePoint we don’t have edit page options [ribbon toolbar page edit formatting options] for all types of page for application page we cannot edit application page like site pages
again the missing edit button might be due to many causes:
Can you verify that it's not a permissions issue? Try navigating to the page in edit mode by appending to the url: your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx?ControlMode=Edit&DisplayMode=Design
Or you can try this
your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx? ?ToolPaneView=2
1. You can check that on some pages the ribbon is hidden by default. You need to make it visible by clicking on "Show Ribbon" on the "Site Actions" drop-down menu.
2. You haven't been doing Visual Upgrade (which actually replaces your master page with the v4.master)
3. If you have different master page and may be your master page is not 100% compatibile with SP2010, nor does it use the elements from v4.master (collaboration) or the example nightandday.master
To add the button in your page you could use the <SharePoint:PageStateActionButton id="PageStateActionButton" runat="server" Visible="false" /> (if you've seen already that would generate the button on the left side of
the ribbon)!

Extra Pages

I have a form with 2 master pages. Master page 1 is a title page and Master 2 is used for the remaining 7 pages.
When I view the form in Design mode or Preview there are an extra 2 pages. Page 3 and 9 are phantom pages - there should only be 8. They are both copies of one of the master pages.
How can I get rid of them?

Typically the content on one of the pages is too big to fit on your defined master pages, hence an extra page is created for the overflow. Make sure all objects are within the content area boundries as defined by the master pages. You can turn on Window/Drawing Aids/Show Object Boundaries to get a visual as to the size of each object. If there is anything the is on the page boundry (all sides) then ensure that it is inside of the page.

Hide Page Options

First tell me why do you want to do that??
As of my knowledge, you can't hide Page Options, but you can hide the Edit Dashboard option under Page Options..
If you want that...
Go to Catalog Manager and login with appropriate credentials...
Navigate to particular shared folder under which you have created the dashboard.. then to _Portal* folder...
Here you can see all the dashboards under that shared folder.
Select particular dashboard, Right click > Permissions.
In the left pane, for Everyone mention the permission as Read,
If already exist then don't change it...
now go to answers and click on dashboard, go to Page Options..
You won't find edit dashboard option..

CR2008 - Page footers - Print at Bottom of page option disabled !

I need page footers to be printed at the bottom of the page but the option is greyed out - disabled.
I have my report set at A4 in CR but if it does not fit a page it reduces the size and prints the page footers up the page. I have checked that I do not have 'Suppress Blank Section' selected in the page footer.
Any clues please ? I have tried all sorts so much so that I am now 'brain dead' and possibly missed something obvious.

What happens if you export to PDF, for example?
The option is grayed out because Page Footers always print on the bottom of the page! (It sounds to me that something is squishing the page image, since you stated that things are printed smaller, and it's just that page sizing that is causing the footer to be higher on the page than desired. Or am I misunderstanding what you stated??)

Software Update printer driver update for HP causes an extra page to print that just has "2345X" printed on it.

A few days ago, Software Update showed a printer driver update for HP so I installed it. Now, after everything that I print, I get an extra page that just has "2345X" printed on it. I tried reinstalling the driver update but still get the extra page. Anyone know how to get stop this extra pgae from printing?

What I suggest is to reset the print system, click the link below to proceed:

Once you have reset the print system please make sure you are selecting the HP Driver and not the Airprint driver (see picture below)
